The Manor Inn in Teignbridge

We ate here three times during our week stay in Brixham. Once for Sunday dinner and then twice more after that. The food is superb and reasonably priced and the staff are all helpful, friendly and efficient. I’d certainly recommend eating here if in the area.

Great food, lovely friendly staff, really welcoming to the children and the dog. Really good choice on the menu, really enjoyed our meal here.

Everything from booking to table service to food was excellent. Whilst very busy staff are doing all they can to keep covid measures in place despite restrictions being lifted now.. (asking you to sanitise on entry and signs asking to wear masks when moving around.. all staff still wearing masks which we appreciated) only let down by a few guests who did not wear masks, which in my opinion is rather selfish and we should do all we can to protect staff and other customers. Special board as well as main menu with desserts to die for. Well done and thank-you. Highly recommend

We live very close to The Manor and feel incredibly lucky to do so! Food and service is perfect! If you see the Baileys or Tia Maria chocolate pot on the dessert menu! Please try it! It is amazing! We rarely go anywhere else to eat now! I promise if you go, you will not be disappointed.

Took some friends for lunch. Sat outside in the garden. We each had something different- the pork, the chicken, the curry and fishcakes. Absolutely delicious! Tasty, good sized portions and great value for money. Three of us had dessert and the double chocolate and honeycomb torte with icecream (and cream) that I had was the best dessert I have had in a very long time. Excellent service and the perfect place for lunch!! Brilliant!

We were staying close to this pub and had booked for our first night. So glad we did as we were unable to book either dinner or lunch anytime during the rest of our week’s stay. We ate in the dog friendly bar and all had really good meals, two off the main menu and two off the specials board. Lovely to have a menu offering good risotto, hake and venison dishes. Disappointed we didn’t get a second chance to eat here (although we did have some very pleasant evening drinks in their garden) so take my advice and book well in advance!

Lovely old Devon pub with a great beer garden. Superb country style food at good prices with a good selection of local ale including the great Jail Ale from Dartmoor brewery. Well worth at trip up the Teign Valley from the A38 for a visit.

Eat here Sunday 18/4. Extremely good roast, so much, booked a table the following week (25/4) inviting friends. Had the Ham hock Terrine and Battered King Prawns starters......lush3 roast porks, and a roast beef. AMAZING.....lots of meat, lovely roasts potatoes, homemade Yorkie, Veg and a side of cauliflower cheese. Great service from Callum and of course the hosts, Mick and Jan.5 star food and service in difficult times. well done ❤️

We really love this place, we sat out in the garden and enjoyed some lovely food while watching the sheep in the field.

My wife and I were advised to visit this pub and we weren't disappointed. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. I would recommend this pub to anyone who is in the area.

Four of us went to The Manor Saturday Lunchtime for a light lunch. Great menu choice and we found it hard to decide, but all went for Turkey, Bacon, Tomato & Lettuce Sandwiches. Well what a surprise when they arrived. Lovely rolls crammed with freshly cooked thick turkey breast (was expecting thin cold sliced turkey) rashers of bacon and T&L. All served with a salad and bowl of chips for £5.50! Remarkable value. We all only just managed the feast!!COVID-19 secure, plenty of hand sanitizer and social distance between tables. The pub is super clean too. Great lunch, fantastic service from Callum (as usual) and a warm welcome from The owners Mick and JanAs the title says, ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC LUNCH

We had a lovely welcome at the Manor Inn when we arrived for Sunday lunch - a party of 6 plus 2 dogs. Excellent service and lovely food - we all opted for the roast and were not disappointed. We will definitely return when we’re back in this beautiful part of the world.

We absolutely love The Manor . We live in a neighbouring village and it’s one of our favourite places to go . Jan the owner is super lovely as are all the staff there . Nothing is too much bother . Food is always fabulous!

Visited(not for the first time) with friends for an evening meal. Warmly greeted and asked to keep masks on until we were seated. Young man serving us was very very helpful and polite and once again the food was excellent. Social distancing being strictly adhered to which was very reassuring. One of my favourite places to eat and I would strongly recommend to anyone.

We visit here fairly often it being our favourite place to eat. Always top quality food and super service. We were treated to a meal here by my sister whilst on our travels to Devon and Cornwall. What a beautiful experience!! The staff, eminence and especially the food were amazing. I would most highly recommend to everyone 👌

I visited here with my boyfriend on Thursday. The food was absolutely lovely. The guy behind the bar was really nice and so was the young waiter. We felt like nothing was too much trouble. Lovely little pub.

In my opinion this is the number one restaurant in the Exeter area. Management, staff and food first class. We have always had an excellent meal. Plenty on the menu to choose from. An absolute joy to eat here.

Went to the Manor inn for Sunday lunch today for my partners birthday. The food and service was amazing. Sally the manager was great. When I called to book the table and mentioned it was a birthday she offered to decorate the table and arrange a cake for us. All the staff were very attentive and friendly. A very difficult time for pubs but The Manor is providing an excellent service which makes you comfortable. We sat in the marquee in the garden and were served cheerfully and efficiently. The food as, as usual, first class with a varied menu. Plenty of choice. Not sure what will happen when it gets colder but this is an excellent pub well worth supporting. We could have eaten inside, even with a dog, but we chose to be outside.Take your own sanitizer.

Stopped off at the Manor Inn on our way home from Newquay via a large detour... what a find!! phoned up to check for availability and we’re accommodated. On arrival we’re greeted by name, even though the pub is “out in the sticks” it was quite busy for a Friday lunchtime. We ordered the curry (beef madras) which as amazing, meat fell apart and lovely spicing. No kids menu as such, but hosts where more than happy to make sausages and mash which went down very well and ice cream with spun sugar much to the kids delight! We’ll definitely be back if we’re even in the area again.

This is the second time my wife and I have eaten here; the standards of food and service have been excellent both times.We were very impressed with the way the pub was adjusted to the current situation; we felt safe and socially-distanced from other customers whilst eating outside. The serving staff have been well trained and did their job well.

Came here by chance Wednesday lunchtime on a drive from Plymouth via the moors. We hadn't booked and we were lucky the owner Jan managed to accommodate us at a table upstairs. The staff are very mindful of current covid safety for themselves and their customers, hand cleanser everywhere and you're asked to use it before you step in. Friendly waiting staff who maintain distance wherever possible, menus thrown away after you have handled them (not passed to other guests), one person at a time in the toilets. Tables distanced. Contact trace details taken. We had the crab and goats cheese starters, with the gammon and risotto mains - would thoroughly recommend them all. In fact all food, which is locally sourced looked so appetising. Great decor, comfortable and relaxing surroundings, will definitely visit again. Suggest reserving a table for this popular, friendly pub which serves great food.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch last Sunday. It was lovely sitting under the gazebo. The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble - even for someone who can’t eat certain things etc. !The plates were hot, the food beautifully cooked and presented well. We will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend it.

The Manor is just down the road from us. We have only visited twice for dinner though which is poor from us! We walked in recently on a Friday night without booking due to disappointed elsewhere and in need of food we KNEW was going to be tasty. They managed to squeeze us in, we were a little late after the rush luckily. The food is always great, the service is always quick and as you’d expect from a restaurant. The menu is small enough that you know it’s all freshly prepared, but large enough to give you enough to choose from. It’s hard to choose as you are alway torn between 3 or more meals. We always have starters and mains when we go out and the portions here are always spot on. I can never finish all my food and my partner who eats a lot hasn’t managed to finish his main yet either!

We returned to the Manor Inn last week. It has been completely redecorated, with very good Covid measures in place. We had the Chicken Liver parfait with roasted red pepper and chilli jam to start, which was really tasty. I had the pork loin wrapped in prosciutto, with spring onion mash and vegs. OH had lamb pie with red wine and rosemary, both were delicious. We couldn’t manage the Whisky Brioche bread and butter pudding with marmalade, so we settled for Creme Brûlée, scrummy. There is also outside seating in a marquee. We felt completely safe and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

We came to the restaurant last night as a couple with our dog.The food was amazing we had 3 courses and couldn’t fault anything.I had the pork fillet wrapped in prosciutto and sage, it was probably one of the nicest meals I’ve had in a while.I would definitely recommend, dog friendly, country pub with beautiful food. If only we lived closer.

Cozy pub with friendly staff. Busy and had good overall ambiance. The food was definitely worth the journey (approx 35 mins). It was delicious and appeared to be seasonal, which was a bonus. I definitely recommend the sage and apricot stuffed belly pork served with a type of dauphinois potatoes - superb!The dessert was a Bailey’s cheesecake with a chocolate truffle - fabulous!What would have added to the experience would have been some candles and maybe a few fresh flowers, plus the tables were a bit tired -Looking, but I was prepared to overlook this. We’ll definitely go back......

They welcomed dogs.. Which is why we picked it.. And what a little gem it was.. Everything is home made they accomodated my son (he wanted ham egg and chips from the adults menu) it was all 'proper' no corners cut.. I only had a bacon and brie ciabatta.. But it was excellent.. bacon was not something you could get in a supermarket like the ham.. Service was also good I would go back

We visited for an evening meal. It was excellent. There was a good, diverse range of options on the menu. All mains were thoroughly enjoyed. The desserts really were just too sweet to really enjoy. Service was friendly and speedy-enough. It is a rural pub atmosphere, but that's all pleasant

went to the manor inn on Friday 31st january 2020 to treat a couple celebrating 50th birthday. We all had the 3 course lunch with different choices, Each course was fantastic One of us was Gluten intolerant and this was no issue with the choices. The food was served at our pace and the staff were friendly and appeared happy with it,,, The choice of drinks was very good supplying a wide range of beers and wines to compliment the excellent food . We all we be going back there again ,

My wife and I booked for an evening meal and when we arrived the staff were really welcoming and there was a woodburner in the hearth giving a welcome warmth.There is a good choice of dishes on the menu and there is also a Specials Board. the meal was excellent (although the veg was served on tiny dishes more suitable for a child's portion)and we had a cold bottle of champagne to wash it down !Only issues were 1. the tables are sticky to the point where we had arms and glasses and plates stuck to the table every time they were put down.2. The smoke coming from the kitchen was excessive and next day we had to have our jackets cleaned to get rid of the stale cooking smells.These issues could have been prevented.Best to ask for a non sticky table and away from the kitchen doors.

Visited here with friends for my birthday celebrations. The place is quirky in a delightful way. The service is excellent with attentive and sociable staff. They were also very knowledgeable on the menu.

My wife and I often go to this pub for a lunch or an evening meal. It is some distance from where we live, but it is worth it every time. We have got to know the owners and the staff and so we always get a personal welcome. They have a specials board which is always varied, plus an excellent regular menu.

Comfortable twin room overlooking car park so quiet and good breakfast at good price. Good staff.......

Visited here due to recommendation. Booked a table and arrived 10 mins early, seated immediately. Service good, children and I had curry with naan (definitely not homemade) and my wife had the steak pie. All food was nice. My only niggle was that the food was delivered very quickly which may suggest not cooked to order but I could be wrong as the food was tasty. Also the naans could have been dropped from a packet as they hadn’t been warmed and most certainly weren’t homemade. I can’t really complain as it was a nice pub and the food was enjoyable.

Ive had some cracking meals at lunch and dinner in this pub. Yesterday's may have been the best. Starting with the Jail ale, I had the mackerel with a creamed horseradish, just Devine. My wife loved her scallops too. For mains the pork was scrumptious, the gravy was a little sparse but I quickly received a pot when I asked for extra. My wife had the duck which she devoured. What makes this place, beside the food is the hospitality and courtesy you receive. Nothing is too much trouble, it's just great. There was a table of 6 downstairs near us, they were having a great time which made the whole atmosphere something special. Thank you for a fantastic evening.

Amazing food and fantastic atmosphere. The pork belly was incredible and the chocolate bread and butter pudding to die for. Love visiting The Manor and would always recommend.

We had a lovely lunch at The Manor Inn, with choice of a set menu or pub favourites from the man menu. They used to have a specials board which is no more, but there is still a wide choice on offer. I was able to combine a starter from the main menu with a main course from the specials which was ideal. Confit duck and apricot croquettes followed by pork loin in a creamy sauce. The food and wine is all good value for money.

Mi compañero y yo nos hospedábamos en la zona y un local nos recomendó este lugar. Está en un entorno hermoso, tuvimos la suerte de tener un clima magnífico para poder sentarnos en el jardín. El servicio fue estupendo, nuestra comida salió a tiempo. Tuve los pasteles de pescado y mi compañero tenía el jamón y los huevos, ambos eran absolutamente delicioso! Un precio muy razonable también! Si alguna vez volvemos a la zona, definitivamente volveremos a visitarnos.

Twelve of us met for an early dinner (babies!). Everyone enjoyed their food and the ambience of the restaurant above a pub. My fresh hake and new potatoes with a fresh salad was very good, as was my wife's chicken.

La selección de vinos por copa también fue buena. Disfrutamos de un par de horas muy agradables en esta área tranquila y bonita, apenas pasamos un auto por el carril, con un ligero zumbido de tráfico desde la carretera principal del valle de Teign que no interfirió en absoluto. Recomiendo encarecidamente para el almuerzo y la cena.

Visité dos veces en abril, una vez en pareja y una vez con familiares. Los cuatro no comemos carne, y yo soy vegetariano (es decir, yo tampoco como pescado). Tres de nosotros comimos verduras, mientras que uno comió pescado. Todas las comidas eran deliciosas, el personal amable y eficiente y el ambiente perfecto. Al no haber estado aquí durante varios años antes de las visitas recientes, ¡nos preguntamos por qué no!

Once again The Manor was amazing. We visited today with friends who had never been before. They absolutely loved it. The staff the food as always were the best. One comment from our friends "this is the best meal I've had in a long time ". Doesn't get much better than that. The venison cobbler was superb. We will be back soon.

One of our favourite places to go for Sunday lunch or any other meal , such a lovely place to go from the owners to the food to all the staff and they always remember us and our children’s names ! Food always amazing and quick never had a meal we’ve not enjoyed ! Love love love

The Manor has a quaint charm and is set in the beautiful Teign Valley. A very warm welcome awaits you as well as a really nice choice of food with local ingredients. Quality meals at reasonable prices and an excellent lunch menu. Well worth a visit!

A real English country pub, not overly tarted up for tourists, but comfortable, welcoming and relaxed. We came with friends who eat here often (they are great foodies) so we knew it would be good. The menu was varied, something for everyone and not highly priced, the place was packed and had that lovely warm buzz of noise that comes from happy people, the food did not disappoint. We enjoyed a very good evening with friendly welcoming service from the hosts and shall look forward to our next visit. P.S. for those not familiar with the Devon lanes and nervous of driving them, the Manor is only a few minutes from the main Teign Valley Road so is very easy to access.

The Manor has a good ambience, welcoming staff, and always delicious food. Accoustics a bit better downstairs for those with hearing problems.

A lovely evening of food and drinks. Superb pork belly cooked and presented better than I've had it - delicious. Asked for more sauce because the sauce was exceptional! Vegetables accompanying the pork were all superbly cooked. Also amazing the dish of breast of guinea fowl and partridge on risotto. House wine Shiraz from SA delicious. Asked immediately on entry what you'd like to drink and waited the right amount of time to order food & to receive freshly prepared hot & delicious meal. Something that little bit special about your meal here.

So last week we went for a meal entertaining clients and decided to come here as the food and service is always good - what I had forgotten was that one of the guests was a vegan! To my surprise they have a very good vegan menu!! The night was a real success and our guests have said they will return as it was so wonderful

This is my favourite local pub for a meal out. I manage to get here about 5 times a year. (Yes I don’t get out much) The steaks are fabulous. Atmosphere is great. And it won’t hurt your pocket.

We are regulars here and it is reliably excellent! Last night didn't disappoint - everything was top notch - starter, mains and pudding. All for around £50 including 2 drinks each. Especially recommend the belly pork and the fantastic presentation of the puddings! The lunches are fantastic value too with no skimping on quality. Hard to beat really!

Visited with family for dinner, great atmosphere we all ended up having 3courses and really enjoyed them all, there was a good range of dishes to pick from loved the specials and the staff were very friendly.

We had an excellent sunday roast here today, the musroom starter and Pate were lovely and the roast pork and beef were extremely tasty. The chocolate oreo and mars bar tart with vanilla ice cream was to die for as was the banoffee cheescake.

Could not fault this old favourite-one vegetarian-quality plus one ham 2 eggs and chips again good with lovely dark yolks.I had steak and ale pie with chips and good variety of fresh veg.

My husband and I went to The Manor Inn for our Wedding Anniversary meal on the 1st of August. We had the best meal, 3 courses of deliciousness! The service was impeccable. We were given the option where to sit, the lady (owner maybe) was so kind in showing us upstairs so we could decide where to sit. Nothing was a problem, the waitress also (even though she was new) was helpful and polite and everybody just made our evening out perfect. Will be going back as soon as we can.

I’m so impressed with this restaurant. Such friendly and accommodating staff and the food was delicious and artistically presented in beautiful surrounding.

We came in with our two small children for lunch on my birthday, I had high hopes even though i knew the owners had changed since last time I came. Service at bar was polite and the young waiter was amazing, you should be very proud of him

Went here recently with my Daughters and respective partners. We have eaten here numerous times each time the food has been really good and also the service. Although it is off the beaten track for non locals it is well worth the trip.

We pop in on the way back to our lodge at Finlake and asked if they could fit us in ,well it was early 6.15pm

Lovely little pub in a very pretty corner of Dartmoor, offering a lovely selection of meals. While the main menu was diverse with good looking options we were slightly worried when we checked online as there were no vegan options. When we phoned ahead to book they said it wouldn’t be a problem to cater for a vegan and upon arrival we were given a menu with multiple options for each course. The food was all lovely, and very reasonably priced! The vegan dessert was very well thought out and was a bit of a novelty to have an option like it. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!
