I always like meeting my friends here for lunch, great greeting from someone at the bar who shows you to a table. Good menu, i always love the tempura prawns and a dessert of chocolate in a cup delicious Thank you all for such great service

What a find! Fantastic service, with the manager, leading by example from the front. Stayed one night in the hayloft, which is a huge and I mean huge! well appointed comfortable room, with a standalone, rolltop bath and excellent toiletries. Dinner was superb with a great choice and phenomenal service & all really reasonable prices, just wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be returning

Truly excellent - a lovely welcome as we came through the door, perfect service, outstandingly good food, the best I've ever had in terms of presentation, freshness and taste. Slightly on the pricey side, but worth it. My photo is of the harissa carrots etc main dish. I'm not vegan, or even vegetarian, but chose this because it looked good. It was fabulous.

7 of us went for Mothers Day. The atmosphere was very buzzy, the service spot-on and the food was absolutely amazing. I had the guinea fowl and it was delicious……

We've been going here for the last 6 years since moving to the area. We regularly pop in during our Sundays walks and have lunch in the summer months outside. The pub and location are lovely. Today was uncomfortable ,unwelcoming, and the team was clearly upset. We go there because we like the look, the location, and it's on our walk and bike route. We've never had a problem before today. Thinking back the service has never been outstanding or superior, but it's always been fine. Today, there was a female who I've never had the good fortune of never encountering before. She was very snooty and made us feel like we shouldn't be there. Her aura was of authority as she picked at and got onto the staff. Not one member of staff was smiling, and two clearly were on the verge of tears after she spoke to them. Even a floor supervisor looked ( I assume as in own attire) upset by her. I do not blame the staff for looking miserable, I left miserable too. So sad, for such a lovely establishment to be ruined by one bad manager attitude.

I was delivering an evening event in the Pavilion space at The Manor, and the staff were incredibly kind at facilitating my requests to arrive early and work on something else virtually. The place was lovely anyway, and very clean, with a mix of regulars and people there for a nice "treat lunch". Jo, Jesus, Olivia and Maddy were all amazing and treated me so nicely I almost wanted to stay and keep enjoying the vibe. I was there delivering entertainment for a wonderful corporate client, and frequently my team and I are treated rather poorly, but not here: honestly some of the nicest people you could meet. Goes to show what happens when you recruit well and (hopefully) pay properly. Thanks to all there.

This very lovely pub is half way meeting point for my ex work friend and i Lunching here for several years it never disappoints. Friendly initial greeting and shown to our table. Menu has something for everyone, my favourite is the battered king prawns which i had this time, and as it was my birthday, i indulged myself and had a sweet, totally fabulous, capaccino choc mouse which to my total surprise came in a cup. My friend had flat bread with a delicious topping and sticky toffee pudding Great food and great catch with thanks to everyone, always a winner

We have been to this place many times over the years and have usually received great service. Very disappointed today when we arrived on our bikes and ordered some hot drinks to have outside in the sunshine. As you can see from the picture my husband’s coffee had been slopped all over the saucer. There was no offer of a replacement. We were not only unhappy with the service, but the ‘large’ coffee ordered came in a very small cup. I dread to think how small the coffee would have been if I’d not ordered a large (see size of teaspoon for scale). I don’t think we’ll be rushing back if the service has gone downhill here.

This is the 3rd time we've gone here for a family celebration. We can't fault it. Service was exceptional, so welcoming, friendly and willing to help. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and a fabulous menu. They dealt well with food for a coeliac and dairy intolerance. Thank you to your staff and chef for making our day💖

Came for my nieces wedding and stayed overnight. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Great venue, lovely rooms, yummy food, pleasant staff. Will definitely be back 🙂

Absolutely delicious baked salmon (from specials menu) I mean REALLY GOOD! Took me by surprise and managed to distract me from how noisy it is. Such a busy place but there’s definitely a good cook in the kitchen!

Loud, to many people squashed in, food overpriced for tastless food! So disappointed! Left feeling like i needed to go home and make dinner! Would not go back or recommend!

Really good food, great service and atmosphere

Not been for a while as we're not really local so decided to go for Saturday lunch and wow what a treat and so worth the journey. Food is top quality (and I'm a fussy eater) service impeccable and surroundings awesome. Can't wait to revisit.

Didn’t realise it was steak night! So wider menu available but 2 sirloins, 2 sauces and a bottle of house wine for £50. Really good value. Steak was really good, chips and onion rings were sublime. Highly recommended. Book in advance as it’s (rightly) popular

Visited for a celebration of life wake today. The venue room at the back of the Manor House was really good and stylish. Seating and tables were also very good. Only one tea/coffee station made a long queue build up but the food was tasty.

Attended for a buffet. Very nice function room and good buffet. Don't follow the postcode on your Satnav. You'll finish up on a farm. Just look for the venue when you get on Woodhouse Lane.

I went to a wedding here one Sunday lunchtime a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. It's a beautiful venue in a location that isn't difficult to reach. There are plenty of parking spaces, the function room and the bar are very tidy and the food was great. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a venue to get married, it's lovely. We were in the rooms at the back but I did take a peek into the other rooms as we passed and it was very busy so the Sunday roast must be a winner!

Stopped for Sunday Lunch. Very busy place and with good reason. Excellent food good service and a good selection of beers and wines. Did not stop over so cannot rate the rooms but the buildings in which they are housed looked good. Had the Sunday roast, excellent. The manor house is situated in open country backing onto the grand central heritage steam train line. So, if you are on the bar side of the place you get steam trains going past every so often. It's got a long back garden and car park so you do not get affected by noise, smell etc. It's also over the road, literally, from a station on the line, with more car parking and free to enter. Though a fee if you want to get on the platform or ride the trains.

Very disappointed, booked on-line for 5.45 last Sunday, we were 6 minutes late due to my wife’s working Remembrance Days parades. To be told that we were late, and doubt if the kitchen had any food for us. We asked the waitress what was still available? she replied all of the roasts, so we ordered, only to be disappointed some time later with the update that no roasts were available! Leaving us a couple of possible options of the Sunday menu. We received an apology from the manager who didn’t charge us for our drinks. We decided to leave and enjoyed a Sunday roast in another restaurant. This is the second time we’ve booked a later meal on Sunday and on the other occasion again there were a very limited number of roasts available, even with our very advanced booking for 6. The food is great when available just be mindful when booking later on Sunday.

We had the most amazing food and attention at my mother’s birthday dinner last night. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the house champagne was very nice! Thoroughly recommend you visit.

Used to be a good pub / restaurant. Went there on a Saturday night to a birthday meal. Arrived at 8.37pm when they are supposed to be serving until 9pm. Chef was sitting at the bar and said they had stopped serving food. Very few people in there, but the few in there were loud And rowdy. We left without finishing our drinks..

We stayed B&B in a large room, in to which they put up another bed for our daughter. The room was clean and tidy, very well equipped. The bathroom had a fantastic shower and was clean and tidy too. Breakfast was extensive and delicious - from cereal, porridge to full English. Attentive and friendly staff. It was a bargain to stay and it looks as though there’s plenty of space for functions and parties.

We had a wonderful overnight stay to break up our journey. On checking in we found that our room had been changed, but unfortunately no-one had let us know. The duty manager did apologise and offered us a discount, and the room was still lovely. As we were staying on a Thursday we were lucky to be there for Steak night. Amazing value for 2 steaks and a bottle of wine, and the steaks were well sized and meltingly tender. All in all, even with the slight hiccup over the room change still happy to give the Manor House 5* and am looking forward to my next opportunity to stay there.

Heading back from a weekend break we came across the Manor House Pub after a quick internet search and managed to book a table for two for Sunday Lunch. The food, service and location are Great. Loved it will go back again.

We held a celebration of life for my wife, and all the staff were incredibly accommodating and sensitive to my situation. Craig was extremely helpful with all the planning and staff on the day provided excellent service throughout, nothing was too much trouble for them and they helped make the event go very smoothly. The Pavilion room is a stunning location and having the outside space worked really well; the buffet food was excellent, with good size portions. A massive thank you for making our event so very special.

Arrived without booking but we were seated at a table no problem. Excellent service followed by superb food. The pizzas are very good, fish and chips plate exactly how it should be. We didn't have a roast at out table but they looked amazing; next time will try one of them!

Stayed in The Fallow Fawn. A lovely room. Cosy with everything I needed. No problem with noise. Friendly staff and lovely food. I travelled a fair way for the wedding and staying at the Manor House at Quorn was a real treat!

We visited on Sunday 12th September for a late Sunday lunch. Half the menu wasn’t available so we all ordered food that wasn’t really by choice. The quality was extremely poor to say the least. This was our second visit, the first wasn’t good either but we decided to give it a second chance which we regretted. We will not return for a third visit. Basic pub food at restaurant prices.

Beautiful room, s plenty of space. Very clean. Very good amenities. Comfortable bed, good quality bed linen and towels.Although near a railway it was completely sound proof with the occasional whistle of a steam train.Staff very good polite and helpful.Breakfast excellent good choice very good fresh locally sourced.

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay with you. The room was immaculate The food (and drinks!) were very impressive. And above all your staff (without exception) were amazing ... so friendly and welcoming ... nothing was a bother. Keep on doing what you’re doing!

I don't live too far from The Manor House so I visit it from time to time. For example, I ate outside here in August and September 2020 when it was sunny and the Covid restrictions were lifted a little but this was my first time dining inside since early 2020. Anyway, neither I nor the rest of my party was in any way disappointed. This is simply a great restaurant. It serves a wide variety of excellent food - there are lots of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options on the menu - and the service is fast. I can't fault it and it's never let me down.

Very welcoming staff, great food, loved the boutique rooms. Beautifully decorated with private outside space. Reasonably prices. Note beware some rooms have a low attic style ceiling.
