Very nice restaurant in Perth. Good parking and also a hotel next door. Well cooked food and attentive friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Would go back.

Omg. This major pub, part of Greene King should be faultless. I had a large salad. The vegetables were cut without care. I ordered 4 shrimp. I knew from the strong smell when they arrived that they were not fresh. The legs were brown, and the flesh tough and clearly close to being ready to throw out. i sent them back, the waitress agreed and apologized. 3 mins later i see the shrimp being served to a table opposite.. the same condition. Gosh.

Tried here for the first time with my family, the first 3 things they did not have in stock but had already ordered drinks and was not informed of a limited menu. Went ahead and ordered, some of the food was ok, fish had no taste, the carry on trying to order something that was actually available put me off, this shows an issue with ordering, although the server was polite and attentive he could not do anything without checking with his manager. There was no offer to compensate for the situation and the drinks ice to juice ratio was laughable. I would never return and the Manager needs to get their place in order, never experienced this lack of menu in my life.

Lovely place.very clean, staff were excellent and brilliant breakfast.

Server today was Danielle, very prompt, efficient, polite and friendly. Very enjoyable.

Food was terrible. Literally we all ordered a drink then within 5mins our food was on the table and it was bad. Was clearly cooked already, not from fresh and just heated up. Wasn't even hot, just warm and tasted bad. 5 of us all said the same and for the £100 we paid I'd rather have got a frozen pizza from a supermarket. Certainly won't be going back there any time soon 😡

Excellent service and food as always

We had a meal and a few drinks to celebrate my future daughter in laws birthday and a pre hen meet up, the food was lovely and the place was clean and inviting, our server Mary was absolutely fantastic, she went over and above and has the patience of a saint especially with us drunks 🤣 I would definitely recommend this place for a good night and a you won’t be disappointed 😊

We stop here every now and again for lunch on the way through. We had the hunters chicken and a mixed grain salad. Both were good. Service was very fast. Never been here in the evenings

Great meal and service from Mary

Wow, what an amazing meal! We had great food and brilliant service. We are all vegan and one of us is gluten free. This was no challenge for Tom our server and Lukas the chef. We had great vegan food with beyond burgers, pasta and veggie stick starters for the kids. They finished it up with vegan ice cream with strawberry sauce. This was an excellent visit after a day travelling. Thank you so much everyone. Greene King you should feel very proud of these guys. All staff worked super hard and all customers seemed to leave happy. 😁

Come here regularly food is always good and they are very accommodating. Service is spectacular Mary is always very attentive. Will always be back.

Drinks with friends good beers and Chelsea kept us right

Came in to The Maltings for Friday night drinks with friends. Exceptional service and Chelsea is a credit to the team.

Joined friends for drinks and snacks and chelsea was amazing as alway. Always happy to take the time out to chat and make you feel welcome. We will be back next friday 🩷

Great pub... Good food at affordable prices, good, friendly staff. We usually call in here for lunch when we are returning to England from a winter trip to the far north of Scotland.. a welcome break for food etc after 3 hours or so of driving!

Mary was our server of a rowdy group of 7 and she was fantastic. None of us were waiting on drinks or food. She was chatty, great with the children in the group, kept the men in the group under control god bless her she deserves a medal! The food as always was fantastic we had starters, mains and desserts. All courses came out together we weren't waiting too long between courses considering it was fairly busy and we were a larger table. Fantastic evening

Sunday roast was poor. Small and poor quality meat.

Great food and a pint at a reasonable price, Me and my partner both got a steak which was perfectly cooked. The drinks were as they should be, no metallic taste on the pints which you find in a lot of other places around Perth. Good for families, groups or couples. Have been before this but will definitely be back again after.

Starters were amazing, halloumi, camembert sharer and nachos were all very good. We had asked when we ordered our food to have a big break between starters and mains, when we asked for the mains to start being cooked they came out within 3 minutes which we thought was rather bizarre as it takes a lot longer than that to prepare 4 roast dinners. Upon looking at the them it was quite clear they had been held hot as the top pieces of beef were overcooked while the other ones were pink. As a result of this the beef on top was quite chewy while the other bits were slightly better but not as good as expected. The Yorkshire puddings were good as were the roasties but they were soggy rather than crispy but they still tasted alright although they weren’t rosemary or garlic flavoured as advertised. The gravy was great but the peppercorn sauce was completely inedible and tasted like uncooked alcohol. The restaurant agreed to not charge us for it which was a positive. Definitely won’t be back here for a roast but may try other things since the starters were nice.

Service and the staff are lovely at front of house. The food came out quickly and wasn’t hot, could tell it’s just frozen food. Tasteless, and Was so expensive and I could have done a better job at home. I got a burger and a side of macaroni , the macaroni wasn’t great and was a portion made for a small child, the burger was the worst I’ve ever had. Not impressed it has massively gone down hill!! Will not return again.

Easy access off A9 going south from Inverness . Plenty parking . Modern clean and well managed Attentive well trained staff and food and refreshments competitively priced and acceptable. For a chain (Greeneking) this is a great example of how it can be done well.

Our server mary was amazing my wife is disabled and needs help to be fed there was 4 of us and my sister in law Karen was feeding my Wife and Mary our server kindly offered to keep her meal warm while she was feeding my wife. talk about going above and beyond. when they brought her meal back it was a total fresh meal well done maltings you need more people like Mary she was very attentive but at the same time not overly well done Mary

Had the Sunday roast. The pig in blanket had obviously been sitting on a hot plate as the base was like a brick. Roast beef was tough and hard to chew. Turkey was nice wish I hadn’t had the 3 mixed roast

Jack Daniels Burger ist sehr geil. Sind jedes mal hier, wenn wir durch Perth durchfahren. Der triple Choc Brownie ist ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen.

A warm welcome on a cold day. Very dog friendly!

We had booked for boxing day meal with the family , 7 of us . We were asked to prebook out meal which we did , 4 weeks ago . We turned up at the booked time 3.30pm , we had to wait for our table (no big issue ). We were then seated and were told there were items unavailable as they had sold out , now this was not late in the day and they were prebooked items, several of our party did not like anything else on the available menu so just picked something and someone else ate it, I had a burger ,onion rings and chips, chips were re cooked at least once , the onion rings were as hard as the plate and I don't mean crunchy they were hard . The turkey dinner was as bad , yorkies were hard , stuffing was dried out and obviously kept warm for many hours , roasties were hard , veg was over cooked and dry . This should not happen but specially when pre booked and on time . The items were obviously cooked start of the day and kept warm ish for the day. I would never pay for this meal but my mother in law did bot want any embarrassing complaints. Avoid if you don't want disappointment.

Had family lunch. Christmas dinner was 1 if the best I've had

We were booked for the Christmas party night on 16th December and had a brilliant night! Food ordering was easy, everyone got what they asked for (few special requests) and all the steaks were cooked exactly how each person liked them. Food didn’t take too long considering how many people were in the restaurant and actually the slight wait between courses was welcomed! Every course was hot and great portions, not one complaint about the food. Special shout out for the chocolate celebration dessert as it was absolutely to die for! Definitely needed as a permanent on the menu. The service was brilliant and the waitress worked with us letting us know when we were approaching our budget which was so helpful. Was lovely to see the team all gather behind the bar for the last song of the night and just showed what a great team they are. Will definitely book again next year! Thank you 🌟

Some of the most mediocre food I've had in years. Ordered the ultimate burger. I'm no fan of waiting but when your burger in a restaurant comes quicker than a busy McD you need to worry. The bun was badly squished and I suspect equally badly defrosted. I seemed to have the pulled pork burger topping. The coleslaw was limp and wow 2 whole small onion rings. At twice the price of the Weatherspoons in town for half the quality (and spoons ain't exactly haut cuisine). The coffee and brownie was nice though

Had a great chilled Saturday afternoon with friends and our dog. Cosy, warm and very welcoming. Our server Danielle seen to all our needs and certainly went over and beyond! Even the dog got spoilt. Food was 10/10 and the portion size was just right.looking forward to our next visit over the festive season.

Ok. The kids "Make your own Sundae" should be renamed. As it came pre-made rather than allowing kids to maker it up as they prefer. Surely the whole frikkin point of calling it "make your own". Response on querying this was a dismissive "yeah that's it". Disappointed kid as everywhere else that does a "make your own" dessert actually fits the description

We went for breakfast on a sunday about 11am. Fantastic service. Food arrived really quick. Couldnt fault anything about our visit and will be making a point of going back whenever we are back in the area.

This was a great find. Came looking for cars after a trip from Inverness to Durham. The grill is great for kids and adults alike. One yappy dog, which was annoying, but not the bars fault. The best thing about The Maltings is the staff. Keen to please and friendly. True Highland hospitality 😍

Good airy restaurant. A bit too expensive for what you get.

I was stranded without a car for two days and left waiting for the garage near by to fix the issue and came across this lovely pub. The staff were lovely, the food was amazing and very quick to arrive. The staff helped me keep my young son occupied with a colouring book. Every member of staff went above and beyond in making us feel welcome.

Perth is our stopover for our Highland trips, and this pub is a definite favourite. Great food, very dog friendly and the staff are amazing. Special mention to Mary and Kate who really looked after us on our last visit 26/10.

Excellent customer service and great food.

Everything was good except when we were done and the person clearing the table asked us whether we wanted any desert. We said no. Usually this would be when the person would leave us. However the person said oh you want just the bill and what else could we say except yes please. She quickly brought along the bill, we paid and left. This was weird because the place was not full and we felt we were being kicked out. Everything else was good. The other person who took our orders was very nice, friendly and warmth. Just the bill thing was weird.

Nice place, usual big chain style of place, food was just ok, not bad though, price ok, good service and clean place. Ok if your wanting just a meal, not what I would say a place to go for a special occasion, veg tex mex burger was really good, I'm not a vegetarian

We got stranded in Perth on a family trip due to severe inclement weather (20th October 2023) and decided to have breakfast here. So glad we did. We were immediately greeted by the host and sat at a table. The restaurant and toilets were spotless. The food was served quickly and was cooked to perfection. There was no problem catering for my stepson who has a severe wheat allergy. Special mention to the host. He was efficient, friendly and full of personality. We will definitely be back if we’re in the area again.

Won't go inside again. Too noisy, not enough staff, even though the trainee was doing her best on her own! and GF burger I ordered was not that good. Last visit, we sat outside in the sunshine, so will give it another try next summer.

Nice food , amazing staff , we were able to take our dog inside, they provided bowls for water and her very own doggie menu, she had chicken and doggie ice cream, will be back again, Ross the Mangager on duty could not have been more helpful.

We came here on our travels around Scotland, what a great pub. Free car park, NHS discount, great tasting food. Never been to a greene king with table service before! Nice clean toilets and friendly service. The food came out quick and was nice, hot and flavoursome. Recommend the house lemonades.

One of the best pubs I've ever been to. The food was fantastic, our waitress was lovely and friendly and to top off a fantastic meal they have a doggy menu. Our Border Terrier was beyond impressed with the amount of chicken he got for just £2 and the fact all that £2 goes to Macmillan is a bonus. 5⭐ and a must for dog owners!!

Pitstone on way home from a week in the Highlands. Easy to find with easy access back onto the bypass. Plenty of parking. Polite, friendly service. Dog welcome ... both inside and outside and given water. Gluten free options that include bread. Chips not suitable which is fine and nice to know they understand dross contamination. Separate charity menu for the dog. Food was lovely and price exceptionally reasonable especially for the quality. Recommend.

Not our 1st visit won't be our last. One disappointment, the turkey Sunday roast wasn't available. Strange when they'd only just opened. However, the food we did have was enjoyable. Service was welcoming, prices reasonable.

Great pub. Love the food, good size menu and super dog friendly (Albert loves the sausages). Plenty of space and always clean. The Staff are all great and welcoming- served today by Chelsea who is always friendly and helpful. Will keep visiting regularly.

Quality of food is shocking, hunters chicken made from chicken breast fished out from the stock 🤮 I had to send the food back and refused to pay. First time at Greens pub and definitely last. Please avoid

Dire. Utterly garbage food. Ordered the mixed grill and all of it was boiled meat. Chicken was clearly a boiled breast barely put on a griddle and was flavourless. The sausage was again boiled, squidgy and slightly grilled on one side. 8oz rump steak "upgrade" was tough as an old shoe and also flavourless. Black pudding seemed barely cooked. Gammon was nothing like gammon. Tasted like a piece of watery ham. I rarely complain about food but this was disgraceful. Paid for the drinks and left hungry. Wasn't prepared to he ripped off £22 for the worst mixed grill I've ever been served.

Do not order the Sunday dinners. Portions could not feed a budgie. Veg was raw, potatoes were old just reheated and the meat was dry and small pieces. Desert ordered the desert platter found a piece of plastic in the ice cream. Good for drinks
