The best curry's EVER, I've been going for 18 yrs and nowhere else compares. The best service as well.

We have not had a Mahbub curry for a long time, because they never used to deliver, I used to pick up on my way home from work. What a fantastic meal we had last night, five stars all the way, plus the best of staff they cannot do enough for you

Great food at an Excellent price. Third time ordering food for delivery and third time not disappointed. Portions are good sizes, food is fresh and tasty. They always take note of my little requests such as put salad separate to kebab. Won’t order from anywhere else now. Great place 5*

Ordered takeaway.. Keema Rice, Keema Nan, Tandori mixed grill which comes with vegetable sauce. Ordered for first time while visiting family in Manchester. Food delivered on time by a very nice staff member in uniform. The food was hot on arrival and was absolutely amazing. The mixed grill was perfect in every way. The portions are large and the quality is outstanding. Highly recommend this takeaway for value, service and quality. would give 10 stars if i could. thanks for a great food experience.

Having a takeaway is a treat for me. I asked for a lamb curry and got mutton. Tough, oily and tasteless.

Had a lovely takeaway tonight, beautifully cooked, non greasy and each portion is enough for two. Shashlik is my favourite.

Been there lots of times . I recommend the vindaloo and aloo gobi with naan is always a winner. And the mixed grill starter is the best

The food is always so good here, been 5 or 6 times and have never been disappointed. Usually get the vindaloo or naga and both are very hot but so tasty. Friendly staff and good prices for the portion size. Could eat here every week. Thanks

The best place to get a curry in Chorlton with a great variety menu and excellent chefs. Staff are always well presented, and lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

So disappointed. Ordered lamb tikka starter and garlic chicken medium curry with garlic naan. The lamb had very little flavour and was quite tough. The chicken "curry" dish had almost no spice and no hint of garlic. The naan was totally plain. I doubt the staff would have eaten any of this themselves.

I have been to Mahbub many times and it has never disappointed me. We normally order sasg gosht (lamb in spinach), chicken karahi, fish tikka and chicken tikka along with pilau rice and garlic naan for our sides. Those are my favourites but I am sure all dishes are brilliant. The only slight issue is that they don't deliver, but amazing food, brilliant prices and friendly service easily make up for that.

Visited here for the first time on Tuesday evening, been meaning to try for a while. Sagor Balti used to be my go to place for take away curry, but having recently moved back to Chorlton I need a replacement. I have to say this place is very good, only tried the Moglai Lamb Lazia so far which was superb and the kids had a chicken tikka korma which they really liked. Portions are good with quality meat. The staff are excellent, I like trying different curries not as much choice as Sagor Balti but I will return to try there house specials. I can see it becoming my go to balti takeaway. So far so good 😊

He estado yendo al Mahbub durante años y nunca he tenido una mala comida. Personal muy amable. Pedí una gran comida para el cumpleaños de mi esposa justo antes de Navidad. Todo listo en 30 minutos y luego tuve ayuda para llevar la comida al auto. Siempre encontrará que tenemos suficiente para las comidas al día siguiente también.

Beautiful curry cooked right in front of you. Very reasonably priced too. Friendly staff. First class. Just needs a loyalty card scheme now ;)

The food was fantastic!! Passing through Chorlton for a couple of days and happy to have taken away here! Will be coming back next time in area!

This is my favourite takeaway in Chorlton. The staff is always super friendly, the service is quick and the prices are very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it.

Very impressed by this take-away. Responsive staff who are happy to adjust spicyness to your taste. I've tried 3 mains which were all very good - particularly the Chicken Karola done medium. Onion bahji starter is to die for. My favourite in Chorlton.

Quite literally the best curry I've ever had. The food always tastes really well spiced and balanced. They always throw a few free things in and they're really friendly. This beats other curries that I've had out or from other takeaways easily.

Food is always spot on. Like how you see it being cooked. Staff are always friendly and you always get little extras chucked in. Recommend this place to everyone. Not sure if they do a delivery service but we always collect out of habit anyway.

Regulars at this takeaway...always get a few extras thrown in too. Lovely! Recommend the chicken chat starter, Saag aloo and karahis. Lots of spice and heat!

The food tastes amazing, they're very efficient and there are amazing off licences nearby to grab any extras. I tend to order and (if it's busy) I pop over to Lloyds for a half while I wait.Love love love Mahbub, but unfortunately I've had to start going elsewhere as they don't have a really healthy section to the menu. I hope that they start doing a couple of really well-researched, ultra healthy dishes and I'll be back there frequently! I wouldn't mind paying more for Organic/coconut oil dishes.. and my mates and me do tend to avoid the traditional curry E numbers like Tartrazine Camoisine Allura Red etc. one friend is allergic.It'd be AWESOME if one day Mahbub had a really healthy option!!!Helpful tip:Park on Manchester Rd down by the side of the Lloyds pub for easy parking.

we always get a good curry here - I tend to like milder dishes, and can recommend the korma. Each dish tastes different.

We've tried all the curry houses in and around the area and we diffinaltly decided this is the best one. The food is tasty and cooked right in front of you. The order is always correct and hot. Wide selection of curries for all tastes. Enjoy we do.

Have eaten from here so many times over the past few years and it's never been any less than 5 stars, so I thought it was about time I posted a review. The only small negative is that they don't deliver but it's always worth the effort, and the beer selection in the off license next door is always worth a browse while waiting.

Nasty tasting. Full of grease. Not good at all.The meat was old and tough.Will go to other places for a curry in future as this was very poor.

These guys are great. The portion sizes are really generous and the menu extensive. Im a vegetarian and the set meal for two is really big! Great value for money and a definite takeaway to have on speed dial

This place has been here since I was born, I think, but I've neglected to try it as it's just never popped up in my head when I've wanted food. Well, it was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S! Best korma I've ever tasted and I got free popadoms and chutney . Amaze!

I moved here for work and although I have eaten good Indian food all over the world (Incl India) I have to say these guys make the best chicken tikka jalfrezi I have ever had. Nice guys too

I moved to Chorlton last December, just before Christmas. It is a bit of a "tradition" that I, usually with friends and family, have Indian/Asian food on Christmas Eve. I had tried this takeaway before and what we had on Christmas Eve from there was great. I don't go very often, maybe once a month even though it is my nearest "restaurant"/takeaway, but most meals have been great. I especially enjoy their Tarka Dhal.Great food, nice helpful staff and "little" details which I find impressive. Like: you are offered a coffee and there are bowls of "nibbles" if you wan to snack whilst you wait for your food; there are fresh flowers on the tables; and the fact you see straight into the kitchen is very re-assuring

Been going here for years and never been disappointed. A great choice of tasty curries. Large pieces of good quality meat, and flavoursome sauces. TV, papers, free coffee and Bombay mix while you wait, or just chat to the staff who are always friendly and chatty. You normally get a surprise freebie in the bag with your order (potatoes, bhajis, that sort of thing), which makes it feel like you're eating a great deal every time.

The staff are fantastic and you can see your high quality cuisine cooked in front of you. They have high standards which they are conscious of and keen to maintain. The value is excellent and they value your custom. One of the best takeaways anywhere!!!!

You really can't go wrong ordering a takeaway from here. The portions are very generous and they often throw in a few extras for free. Everything is freshly cooked behind the counter, so you can see how clean and efficient the place is. Most importantly, the food is consistently excellent and rivals that of any eat-in establishment. We've been going to The Mahbub for years and it never disappoints. Had friends round for a take-away at the weekend and they said they wished they lived closer as it's the best curry they've had. Staff are very friendly too. If only they delivered!

I'll be going back.It's clean, food was a while but cooked freshly to my liking and the TV was onMy companion had a chicken omelette with chips and peas for a fiver! Wow.I had a lamb special I think the jupazzi??Well something like that. Mmmm tasty. I'll definitely be going again, good value. Cash only so loses a point.They need to sort that it is a wet walk from nearest cash point in heavy rain.

This place is amazing. It's the best Indian I've tried and the people who work there are really friendly. We always get a bonus free poppadum or onion bhaji as well which is a lovely touch. All the food is freshly prepared.

Been to Mahbub for many years now and always return. Its an excellent family run business and they know the meaning of customer service. They greet you like a friend rather than a customer and usually throw something in for free if its a decent sized order. The mixed grill is amazing but so is everything else that I've tried. The place is very clean and has an open kitchen with proper chefs, I've even been jus before closing time and you can see the chefs scrubbing the kitchen down ready for the next day. Amir and his brother who are smartly dressed take your order and you take a seat and watch tv while eating the free bombay mix and even have a free coffee if you want. This is the way all take aways should be run. Prices are good, can't fault this place.

This was one of the worst curries I've ever had. The chef's have a real disdain for their clientele by serving such awful food.

Amazing food. I get cravings for their Fish Makon........................delicious. The chefs cook the food in front of you and when you arrive to pick up your food they have a genuine interest in telling you about the food and how they have prepared it. Been using the mabub for over 10 years and the food is fresh and delicious every time. Occasionaly try a diffent Chorlton indian and always regret it. Glad they dont deliver I think this helps them give full attention to the cooking. Highly recommend.

Love getting a take-away from Mahbub - delicious flavours, all freshly cooked in front of you, nice waiting area & super friendly staff. They often chuck in a little extra such as onion bhajees which is such a lovely (& tasty!) surprise. :)

I often find take-away food has too much salt which drowns the other spices which is not the case from this particular outlet. The food is freshly made and very good value for money and the staff are courteous.

Been meaning to try this takeaway for some time but finally got round to it tonight and wow so glad i did - food is rocking - so very tasty ..will most certainly be going back again and again i'm sure. Sign of a good indian is well cooked lamb ... These guys get it right .. Well done mahbub

Great take-away food, with a dedicated and friendly service. Definately the best indian take away in chorlton!

Fantastic Sikh kebab at £3.40. Freshly prepared so takes 15 minutes or so, but well worth the wait. The Nan is soft and chewy with just a slight crunch and done in a proper clay oven. Meat is fragrant with herbs and spices and is of very good quality. Sauces are provided separately so no soggy kebab disaster! Staff are fantastic, really friendly and a bit nuts! and you can watch your food being prepared by the chefs. Can't wait to try their other dishes.

Great food. Their website is on themahbub.com. Had a takeaway from here for years now, even travel from Sale to pick it up - just wish they would deliver - they clearly don't need to though as always very busy. Recommend the Saag Paneer, also the Lamb Jypoori and Karahi.

We've got takeaway from here for years. It's great food (lamb karahi my fave) and has a great flavour rather than just chilli. Shame you can't eat in though. Went here first as I heard they give you free poppodoms, and they do!

I have been to mahbub for takeaway on two occasions and on both Of them, both mine and my wife's curries had an overriding flavour of burnt garlic... Such a shame as all if the starters we have tried have been lovely! The onion pilau rice is also great. Overall, though I think the chefs need to pay that bit more attention to their mains, as there are many good places to get curry in chorlton.
