Good food, great service and reasonable price.

My meal was excellent but arrived after the rest of the party had finished eating. Also 2 people in the party asked for kids meals as they had just had gastric surgery and were told this would be fine, only for the manager to retract this and send the waitress to inform us

We got seated almost asap, it was busy, we were on top floor , our wee staff were great and bar tender was spot on, party of 6 , food hot. Louisiana chicken excellent , all meals great ❤️

Busy place on a Sunday evening, food was fine and the service was very good, nothing too much trouble for hard working attentive staff, stayed on for a couple of hours after the meal and a good atmosphere around the bar.

Bene here twice now when visiting close friends. Absolutely love the food and the portion sizes for the price is brilliant too..we are from Kent, UK and can't find any place back home that matches the value for money and variety of the menu! Everyone loved their meal both times. Service is good and meals came out in good time. Can't fault this place. And will definitely come back.

Food in the Magnet Bar is in my opinion the best of the bentley group and has always been consistently good.

Just called in for a bit of food tonight not from the area but it was delicious and the staff were very friendly and not too badly priced will definitely be back if in the area again

What a surprise when you enter the Magnet, three floors of seating for dining, from the outside it's so deceiving, top floor looks perfect for private functions, staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and the portions are extremely generous, lots of people using the takeaway dishes for their leftovers. Most definitely deserve a return visit. Booking advisable.

Was in the magnet last night, always enjoy the place, great food and music nights are great. I ordered a meal, pitta pocket , beef , garlic mayo. It said on the menu choice of dip. I asked the waitress for sour cream instead of garlic mayo. Got my meal and GARLIC MAYO. I don’t like garlic mayo so asked the waitress to change it to sour cream. She got me 2 little bowls of sour cream. GREAT.. meal was delicious. Got the bill,and noticed I was charged £1 for each little bowl!!!!! Seriously. It’s not about the extra £1 per extra little bowl.I was given the wrong dip in the first place!!!

Such a noisey bar, the bar staff were making cocktails in a blender and we'd have needed earplugs it was so loud. The staff were so young and very hard to understand!!! The food was just OK, not great....I won't be back.

Service was good but to be honest I was quite disappointed with the food when it arrived. I orderd the lasagne and it was quite bland,there wasn't any flavour from it. I've orderd this regularly before,really enjoyed it but found this time around that I wasn't impressed with the food or appearance of it.

Good enough food. Poor choice for kids. Even poorer for vegetarian/vegan kids. Staff are friendly. Could do with putting the heating on. Bit on the cold side.

Wow. The food tasted so so good, it came out so fast as well. Only down side was the noise of the place, but it was a Saturday night with an Ireland football game on TV.

Great bar and the barman was fantastic. Filled my friends water bottles for them no bother. Had an afternoon pint when we were there because we were made so welcome and atmosphere was so nice. We'll be back.

Had very very average lasagna , side salad was bit of salad with coleslaw dumped on top of it and one slice of tomato. Child had chips and lasagna and barely touched either as she didn't like the taste, I had to agree with her for once.

Always good for a bite of bar food. If you are into sport on TV, they have lots of tvs. Ample seating, usually good service, good menu and not too expensive. Some car parking too.

Fabulous place .You have to go there to experience the hospitality.

It's my 1st time out since covid began, and I was so glad it was the Magnet. The food was absolutely delicious. It was worth the wait. I had a starter of beef nachos. Really tasty and got the taste buds going for the mains. I ordered Tagliatelle chillie chicken with a side. I was full at the end but would have loved more as it was so good.

Great friendly staff and great food

Ordered spicy pasta with veg - awful. Enough sauce to fill a bath tub and wasn't nice either. Veg was the variety you'd find in a Chinese stir-fry not a pasta dish. My mum got fish and mash and it came with no mushy peas or tar tar sauce. Won't be returning anytime soon.

My daughter wanted me to take her here before she went off to uni again as she had been here with friends before and loved it! Very spacious and plenty of hand sanitizer available. Staff were attentive, plenty of variety on menu. The food was very nice, good sized portions

Brilliant staff and loads of space for functions

Big portions and decent value. Service can be hit and miss, sometimes quick and friendly, sometimes slow and frantic. Beer selection is pretty poor, they should get some IPAs in, the offy beside it sells loads so the locals would definitely buy it.

Welcoming and cosy local bar in Culmore. You can stop in for a drink or food. They also allow tables to be booked in advance for busy nights. The food is really good here. Hand sanitation stations in place throughout and the staff do their best to maintain covid-19 protocols. Highly recommended.

How do I begin to describe this wonderful gem in the northwest, 1st you'll get a very warm welcome from very friendly staff with excellent people skills. Such a beautiful place plenty of space & has a fantastic abundance the minute you walk in. The menu is catered for all tastes great selection for vegetarians. We had the chicken & beef burgers, this was truly delicious. Top top notch at incredible value for money. Definitely keep this place at the top of your must visit list

I have eaten here many times because it is local and have had a number of issues over the years, like drinks added to our order which we haven't had, poor service, rude staff but the food was good, but after last weeks visit, I will never be back. The evening was a disaster from the start. Lazy staff, the place was not even busy, they all congregated around the bar, had to ask to order, the head waitress, long dark hair, stood at the end of the table and shouted down the table to take the orders, my elderly father had to shout his order 3 times. I myself am from a catering/hospitality background and have owned a number of establishments over the years and am always watching how things operate. We waited a long time on our food, the magnet has an open kitchen and we were sat right in front, so have a perfect vantage point. I could see our order on the servers hatch, with nobody picking it up to serve. Eventually 3 meals arrive, no sides sauces or cutlery, the next 2 meals that arrive are wrong, I could see the staff in a right muddle and then witnessed them just scooping our mean onto another plate and adding a different sauce, still no sides or cutlery. Asked for sides and was told they had to serve all the mains first. They then realized that the forgot 2 kids steak meals altogether. When sides arrived, main meals cold. My husband asked for his salmon to be put in the microwave as it was at least 10 minutes since it was taken out. We had all finished our meals when 2 half cooked kids steaks were served. My sister got a chicken Carbonara and it has only 4 little cubes of chicken. We had to ask for cutlery. Not one member of staff came to the table to check how things were. We had to call over the head waitress to draw her attention to our issues. All I can say is, she is not suited to front of house/customer service duties. We were literally attacked. She was not having any of it, she blamed everything in the kitchen or the fact she was too busy. She would not take on board or accept that there was anything wrong. She is very loud and aggressive. When we went to leave she even walked past a member of our party and pushed into them. I have never experienced anything so bad in all my life. If she were a member of my team, well, let's say, she wouldn't be. I have an altesation as a guard dog and not as My head waitress. I would never want anyone to experience what we did, so ignore this advice at your cost. Just drive on up the road, where you will find lots of nice staff and even better places to eat. I know the magnet is part of a chain and wonder do the owners even know the state of play in there. Wild west comes to culmore.

I don't know where to start with this review as I don't like leaving bad review but this doesn't warrant anything other than terrible. What I will say is that it spoilt our visit to Derry City this time round to witness this behaviour is shocking in this day and age. We have eaten in so many cafe and restaurants this last 5 days and we have had wonderful experiences, beautiful food and such happy staff it was lovely. Coming here was a total flip from the city centre, I can safely say I will never be back here. The table beside us was a large party, I could see there order was all over the place and they rightly queried it with the waitress in charge but the waitress which I might add I later found out was the head waitress was so rude it was actually unbelievable, her tone of voice, body manner and pitch of her voice was a disgrace, she was extremely defensive with them. If that had of been me I would have requested to see the manager but they didn't seem to do this, they had words at the table but this waitress stormed off like a child in a tantrum. If I were the manager of this establishment I would have this lady her p45 because she is doing you no favours. I can assure you I visit the city a few times a year, this was my first and last time to come into your bar/restaurant and I'll look forward to hearing a reply from you with an update of how you deal with this member of staff. My own experience here tonight was just ok, soup was good, steak was also good but nothing that would have taken me back here anyway, there was a real sense of doom and gloom.

We booked a table for a last night out for Christmas and the service was shocking staff were constantly throwing dirty looks over , some of our food came cold staff weren’t helpful atall when asked about the paying the bill it was just thrown at us , felt so uncomfortable and like we weren’t wanted there , none of us will be coming here again , worst experience ever don’t know how any of the staff got a job there too be honest absolute disgrace and defiantly not worth the money .

We had the pleasure of having a meal yesterday in the Magnet. First one since lockdown restrictions were lifted. On entering all staff were wearing masks and sanitizer was at the door. Our name and contact details were taken for track and trace and there were lots of staff on the floor for table service. Anyone who got up to use the toilets wore their mask and overall I felt very safe. Well done to everyone involved in keeping us safe. The food was as always excellent and we never felt rushed. Cant wait to go back.

Foods good reasonably priced I usually call once a week I have to say it's a good bar although the service is really poor.

Llegamos a la hora programada y una chica amable nos llevó a nuestro asiento. Noté el desinfectante de manos en la parte superior de las escaleras y lo usé. Muchos lo pasaron.Había gente sentada en mesas a cada lado de nosotros, tan imposible para una distancia social de un metro. También era imposible poner comida en la mesa sin entrar en contacto con nosotros. Me sentí incómodo porque las camareras no llevaban viseras o máscaras. Puede obtener los no médicos.De todos modos nos quedamos y comimos y disfrutamos de nuestra comida. Estos son estilos preocupantes para todos.

El personal me pareció muy amable y trabajador. . . Para la enfermera que comentó sobre el ppe, estoy segura de que no es consciente de que esto NO se recomienda en los restaurantes y, dado que todavía hay una escasez masiva de ppe, obviamente lo más importante es que obtengan el ppe que está disponible, como también noté en el hospital el Sabe que numerosas enfermeras y médicos no usan ninguno y lo más importante es que van de un paciente a otro sin lavarse las manos. . . Yo, por mi parte, realmente aprecio el arduo trabajo que el personal de magnet hizo, no eligieron una profesión que los pone en peligro de posibles virus potencialmente mortales, pero lo hacen todos los días con una sonrisa. . . Creo que el chico bapper se llama, sus habilidades de gestión son innegables 100/100 defs merece un aumento y también su personal muchas gracias por su servicio. . . . Sarah

We booked a table yesterday to watch the FA cup final,and had a meal. The meal was beautiful, and the service was fantastic. The restaurant has introduced Covid 19 Safety measures and they were adhered to, the restaurant/bar was not packed out and we were reminded nicely we had to leave after our two hour time slot, which we were happy to do so. We will gladly return

Decidí darle una oportunidad a este lugar después de haberlo pasado muchas veces antes.Tan pronto como entramos, mi instinto fue irme, pero teníamos un niño muy hambriento con nosotros. El lugar tenía más un ambiente de bar deportivo para hombres que bebía que restaurante. . . Definitivamente había un bullicio muy ruidoso / bullicioso sobre el lugar, que está bien en un pub.Nos acompañaron escaleras arriba y nos dieron una mesa de la que luego nos sacaron, nos llevaron a otra mesa solo para ser retirados también y llevados a otra (piso bastante sucio). Hubo un comentario de fútbol muy fuerte a todo volumen y, para ser justos con el personal, a petición nuestra, rechazaron la raqueta. ¡Desafortunadamente, el volumen de los juerguistas predominantemente masculinos en este piso no se pudo bajar! (las dos mesas de las que nos habían sacado permanecieron vacías durante nuestra visita)Teníamos mucha hambre, así que decidimos sonreír y soportarlo. Pedimos comida y una hora después no se había materializado, con mesas a nuestro alrededor servidas. Cuando recibimos la atención de una camarera (teníamos que ir a buscar) y preguntamos por nuestro pedido, ella (sin disculparse ni ninguna preocupación obvia) se fue a verificar. Cuando ella no regresó después de 5 minutos, nos levantamos y sacamos a nuestra hija que ahora lloraba de este pub en busca de un restaurante familiar con una administración / personal más competente.Quizás tuvieron un día muy ocupado. . . ¡ciertamente estaban demasiado ocupados para proporcionarnos nuestro pedido!Podría haberme ahorrado un tiempo valioso si solo hubiera seguido mi "instinto" normal sobre este lugar y le hubiera dado un amplio margen.

De camino a Donegal por un par de días, de repente decidimos parar para tomar un refrigerio, no tenía reserva el domingo por la tarde, le recomendamos que reserve para que no se sienta decepcionado, el personal fue muy amable y nos mostró una mesa (donde teníamos suerte) tomamos nuestro pedido de bebidas de inmediato, luego la comida, el menú era muy extenso, me decidí por un sándwich de pescado con papas fritas, que era muy agradable, mi esposa tenía una envoltura de pollo con chile con ensalada ceasar que era encantador también.El costo de dos pintas más las 2 comidas fue de 26 libras, lo cual pensamos que era muy bueno.Una pequeña decepción fueron los baños de hombres, desafortunadamente, había papel alrededor del piso que en covid 19 veces no está encendido, pero como era nuestra primera y única vez hasta ahora, le daré el beneficio de la duda. Lo recomendaría porque todo estaba perfecto, aparte de los inodoros.
