This is one of my favourite restaurants in Blair Atholl. The food never disappoints and the staff are friendly and attentive. Will be back in April!

Enjoyed the most delicious Mother's Day lunch at The Loft. We were served complimentary Prosecco on arrival which was delightful. All enjoyed three courses which were faultless, cannot recommend highly enough. Personal service with such attention to detail. Truly wonderful!

Amazing food, I had the haddock in panko breadcrumbs, chips and peas, my partner had battered haddock, I had crème brûlée and my partner had banoffee pie in a jar. Very good quality tasty food. The restaurant has a great view.

We had one of the best meals we’ve ever had in this cosy restaurant. We were impressed with the variety of vegetables offered as standard. We had a lovely fireside seat and the food was really top notch. The hosts were also lovely. Very highly recommended.

We have been here many times. Often with large groups as well. Food, service, staff and owners are all top notch. They always extremely attentive and give the feeling of fine dining with none of the stuffiness that often comes with it. It is always just right. Highly recommended! My kids, even the difficult one, are always thrilled.

Had been recommended to go here and we were glad to have been. An interesting well balanced menu with mainly some very well executed dishes but also some staples to keep the less adventurous or younger diners happy. Service was relaxed and friendly. Definitely now added to our local list.

It's rare that I give a review on a restaurant, but I just had a meal that was so well done I had to say something. My wife and I just left The Loft and we finished everything on our plates. I had the rib eye and she had trout. We also had desert. Everything was great and the service was very good, prompt I must say.

This gem of a restaurant was recommended by our B&B hosts at the lovely Ptarmigan House in Blair Atholl, Scotland; on the A9 northwest of Edinburgh. The Loft was pleasantly arranged. The food was excellent. I had the trout with a wonderful mash and mix of veggies. My husband had a delicious rib eye. The sauces and seasonings were spot on. All the dishes that came out of the kitchen looked beautiful. Kudos to that chef.

Service was great. Food was average but plentiful. The prawn/avocado/smoked salmon starter was very good along with the lavender crème brûlée. But the cod was well cooked, but not spectacular, and the venison fillet was tough.

Nice spot but the food was pretty ordinary. I thought we had (sorry!) woken up in the 70s with prawn cocktails etc on the menu! That said, we were looked after, and the service was great. Not a high-end spot by any means, but doable if you're in the mood for something a bit retro.

The restaurant was warmly recommended by the owner of the B&B we stayed in. And she was absolutely right : great food, served with passion, friendliness and a touch of humour : the best recipe for a grat dinner !

Very friendly welcome. We opted for a main dish and dessert. The dishes were provided with extremely fresh and finely seasoned vegetables. The plates were a feast for the eyes. There was no pressure, free to enjoy to the fullest. Important': reservation is desirable.

Phenomenal food, ambiance/environment, and service with a passion for pleasing the customer. We liked it so much that we returned a second night! After a busy day hiking, we first walked by the “pub-ish” restaurant which is part of the local “Arms” hotel and moved on based on the prices we saw for pub food. We then opened Yelp and saw that “The Loft” had a perfect 5* rating! Although we heard there that chances of getting in without a resi on a Saturday night would be near impossible, we went over to try (even sitting at the bar). We hoped that we may be able to charm them by sharing that it was also my birthday. We had the amazing fortune that Nicolette took pity on us and gave us the table near the kitchen. Well, I had the venison steak with cherries reduction and it was the best venison I have ever had. My wife had the roasted chicken and loved it so much that she had it again the second night (which we booked before leaving the first night)! If you are a fan of “The Bear” on Hulu like us, you will see delight and passion in pleasing the customer in the smiles from Nicolette, Adrian, and the entire staff! They love doing what they are doing and that joy translates fully through the delicious food! Brava to the team of “The Loft”! We will be back as soon as possible, and we will always book ahead!

The reason we chose this restaurant for our evening meal, was that it, was rated number one on trip advisor, for Pitlochry area. So, I was quiet shocked that it was at the entrance to a mobile home site and part of some rebuilding work underneath. However, we received a warm welcome and was offered an inside table or one on the roof terrace. There is a very good varied menu. I chose the Braised Scottish Wild Venison “Casserole“ which was very good, my husband the BBQ Pork Ribs. I fully appreciate the casserole was simmering all day in the kitchen, but the ribs should have been cooked to order. My concern is that the food arrived too quickly. I fear the ribs were precooked or micro waved? Ribs in central London take a while to cook and they would be £5 cheaper too. I have not tried other restaurants in the area, so perhaps it should be number 1?

The food was great and the host was very welcoming. The apple pie is so good and fresh. The dishes are delicious and the service is excellent. The restaurant is clean and has a nice ambiance. Old oil lamps on the table instead of candles are a nice touch too

Tucked away you'd think you were in the Alps. Ascend the stairs slightly nervously and are warmly welcomed by a fantastic team. Amazing food served quickly and with professionalism. Were staying at Atholl Arms Hotel for 5 nights which unfortunatley did not advise their restaurant was closed when we booked. Fortunately discovered The Loft and booked in for dinner on night 4 of our holiday. The staff were so welcoming. You felt as if you were a regular customer. As for the food, my wife had strips of calamari and I had goats cheese with black pudding for starters. For mains had rump of lamb and fillet of highland venison. All the dishes were amazing. I had creme brulee for dessert which was spectacularly set on fire at the table to caramelise the sugar. Great fun and musn't forget the lovely wine. It was so good we booked for the following evening. The restaurant was quieter the 2nd night. My wife decided she would only have a main course as she struggled to finish her food the previous night. I had the calamari to start and was not disappointed. We both chose one of the special dishes. Surf & Turf. Rib eye steak with a large langoustine and some extra large mussels, with pink pepper sauce on the side. We both agreed the steak was stunning, best we have had for a long time. We also tried some of their lovely Romanian wine. As it was quieter we had a long conversation with the owner. At the moment they are closed Monday & Tuesday. If you are in the area give it a try. We definitely recommend The Loft and wish we did not stay almost 100 miles away.

Quality of food, the presentation and exemplary service was a true delight. What a fantastic find and we will most certainly be recommending that our air bnb guests pay The Loft a visit.

Why is that when I find a fabulous restaurant it always seems to be when I am miles from home? This restaurant is superb. The friends we were with had been there before and couldn't wait to visit it again and nor can I. All the choices were interesting, from a starter of stacked haggis, neeps and tatties with a whisky sauce to another of prawns, salmon and avocado that has no bearing on a prawn cocktail whatsoever. The mains were superlative. Guess what? I didn't have room for dessert but again, I wished I had. We visited The Loft before catching the Caledonian Sleeper. The meal almost made up for having to travel on the sleeper!

We unfortunately arrived late for our booking, but the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The service and food were both excellent. We particularly enjoyed the desserts of creme brule and banoffee pie.

What a find! Was in the area and looked through TripAdvisor to find a good restaurant. This came up first, and was 200 m from where we were. The atmosphere was lovely, the service great, and the food exceptional. I had the goar cheese and black pudding starter. It was such a fantastic blend of colours, textures and flavours, and a good size! For main I had the Highland venison, which was superb. Served medium well with sour cherry sauce whichwas a bit sweet for my taste but certainlyrich enoughto complementthe meat, with 5 different kinds of veg and a small portion of scalloped potatoes, it was gorgeous. My friend had the Perthshire lamb, a huge portion done medium, and looked delicious. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. We had no room for dessert, but what arrived at other tables looked beautiful, and the menu was impressive. We immediately booked again for tomorrow, so I can try the lamb

While staying at Blair Atholl camp site we visited The Loft Restaurant for lunch, flipping great. Service was great, they made us feel special, welcome and relaxed.A busy and friendly restaurant that made a busy restaurant feel special.Menu is very good n hubby n I struggled to pick what we would have, there was so much. I settled on dressed crab, starter then Scampi n chips, never had so much delious fresh Scampi absolutely tabby. Hubby had Goats cheese starter with rabbit confiet main. We both enjoyed the meal, but hubby was VERY disappointed that he just couldn't manage a pudding, there were so many that he fancied.Loved it so much friend n I will be booking for lunch when Christmas fayre is on

Again, it was very well presented.My mother mentioned it was a bit tough (to me), but continued to make an effort to eat it.We the waiter came to ask if everything was OK, we mentioned it.When the lady came to clear the plates, we mentioned it.We actually did not receive an apology, that's was all we wanted.My mother struggled to eat the lamb, but eventually consumed about 80%.I went to pay for the meal and nothing was mentioned.We were not looking for a discount or free meal, we just wanted our concerns acknowledged.Things happen, and you can get an off cut off cut, but an apology would have been appreciated.I must stress, we have been here many times, and this was a one off.Would I go back, YES.

We had the most amazing meal for our anniversary at the Loft. The restaurant is lovely and has a unique and atmospheric feel to it. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great, very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend a visit if your in the area but book, as it is clearly a very busy and popular restaurant. I hope we can visit again soon.

Had a lovely evening here with my family on Sunday. The service was great and we were made very welcome. The food was delicious however if i had to pick two things the food could have been warmer! The building is also going through some big renovations which left us looking at empty swimming pool downstairs , i would personally cover the windows in the restaurant. Putting that aside what a great little place in the heart of a beautiful area. The staff couldn't have been any better and the food was as good as I've had in the area too. Would recommend to any one staying in Blair Atholl or Pitlochry. Walking distance from the campsite as well which helps when you want a beer !

We visit this area twice a year and have never had a poor experience as Nicoletta greats everyone warmly and wants her customers to enjoy Adrian's food.We booked for a Sunday lunch with hubby having the traditional roast beef, which melted in the mouth, had wonderful, rich gravy, lots of veg and two Yorkshire puddings. Not quite sure how we ended up with five puddings, but I had a couple with my venison dish, which was cooked to pink perfection.Our starters were a terrine and a hot smoked salmon Caesar salad, both excellent. To drink I opted for a non alcoholic G&T, which at £6.50 was tasty, but expensive, and my husband enjoyed his non alc Erdinger beer as he was driving. It wasn't warm enough to eat outside and the place seemed to be fully booked, which is good to see after the long close down.Our Sunday lunch was finally walked off by the Wednesday, so we returned on a sunny day to sit out on the terrace for a light lunch. The view over the caravan park isn't exciting, but you can still enjoy the distant hills!On this visit, hubby chose a terrific club sandwich with chips followed by a tower of haggis, neeps and tatties and I helped him with that as the sandwich filled him up! I just fancied a baked potato with prawns, so that I had room for a super chocolate mousse with Edradour liquer and cream. All delicious.This quirky restaurant offers some very interesting, well cooked & presented food served with enthusiasm and with customers really enjoying themselves whilst appreciating the food,no wonder it's a busy wee place. Due to the glowing reports on TripAdvisor we decided to seek out this restaurant and we were certainly not disappointed. We were ushered to an outside table by the very friendly and helpful owner. It was a glorious sunny day and the terrace is a lovely place to sit. My wine was a good quality, beautifully chilled sauvignon. My husband had surf and turf and I enjoyed my chicken dish. It was all very well presented and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned the following evening. I highly recommend The Loft and will certainly pay another visit next year.
