My wife and I went to The Loft for a meal while staying for a few days in Blair Atholl. We called in the evening before our visit and were able to get booked even though they were going to be very busy the following night. When we arrived we were greeted and seated quickly and given menus to study. A few minutes later the waitress came by and took our drinks orders. She returned shortly, checked if we were ready and took our food order. My wife had the almond crusted brie which she described as very tasty, and a pleasant change from the usual brie in breadcrumbs. My starter was a haggis, neeps and tatties stack with whiskey cream. This was absolutely fantastic and, as I commented to Nicoletta (?) at the time, sums up Scotland on a plate. We both had venison for main course, beautifully presented and very tasty. Neither of us had room for dessert so my wife had a tea and I had an espresso (and a 12 year-old Aberfeldy single malt as a nightcap). The restaurant was very busy with a great atmosphere, and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming, looking after us without being in-your-face. My only minor complaint was that we were sitting in the middle of the room and I felt very self-conscious sitting under the bright spotlights. I'm sure people weren't looking at us, but it just felt that way because it was so bright. It would be great if the lighting was just a little softer, but I didn't take off any points for that because the excellent food and service more than make up for anything I didn't like about the decor. We'll definitely be back next time we're staying in Blair Atholl.

We are returning visitors here. The food is exceptional - beautifully prepared and presented and Nicoletta's service hits the right tone every time. They will close on 2 January after lunch until March, so don't miss them before they have their well earned winter break!

10/02/2019: We popped in here last year, had a lovely meal. A really nice touch was when the owners came round asking how things had been.

The Tea Garden at Comrie Croft

18/02/2019: Lovely soup, nice coffee, burgers and rolls served with a smile! Warm friendly atmosphere in the tea garden. You can sit in or outside where there are comfortable chairs with sheepskins and blankies. Very nice!
01/12/2018: Great little spot. All the food is homemade with an interesting twist. I've been for coffees and breakfast rolls, scones etc but I'm sure a proper meal here would be great.
