Hosting a Birthday party for the more mature of us can be difficult - deciding what to get, catering for varying tastes etc. For my recent birthday my daughter suggested outside caterers, but trying to get one in N. Ireland is not as simple as it seems. A compromise was suggested and she decided to get a curry and beef dish from The Loft - this would supplement usual eats. Dishes picked up at the agreed time and kept warm in slow cookers for the "do". Conclusion- absolutely delicious as agreed by all those attending. Outstanding flavour, excellent quality and a plentiful amount. I have no difficulty in recommending The Loft for its food and indeed taking some of the pressure off home catering for whatever event. As an extra comment, my wife and I always drop in for coffee and something to eat when we are in the Linen Green. Food excellent, staff very professional and friendly and the ambiance of the old mill adds to the experience.

Very disappointing. Totally overpriced. 38 pounds for two lunches, one wine and coffee and one dessert. Wine glass dirty. Lukewarm by the time we were seated. Seating not organized. Visited Villa Italia two days later with two grandchildren and it was 10 Pounds more expensive For 4 meals. Much superior.

I have always enjoyed a trip to Linen Green because of the The Loft and it's amazing food. I have been following a Gluten Free diet since earlier this year and have often been disappointed at the poor choice of GF food available in cafes so I phoned the Loft the day before I went to ensure that they had GF food available. I was assured that there was a choice of GF scones and also GF rolls for lunchtime. The person I spoke to was helpful and told me of a few choices of food available at lunchtime which were also GF. I went to The Loft yesterday looking forward to the raspberry GF scone that I was promised during that phonecall. However when we arrived and asked I was shown one very small plain scone which was tightly wrapped in clingfilm. I said that I had phoned the previous day and was assured there would be a range of GF available but the assistant told me that their GF scone delivery is on a Wednesday and that was all they had left over from the previous delivery. I was extremely disappointed but took the scone (as there was no alternative) which they toasted (seemed quite strange). My mum had one of their normal scones which are huge (possibly 3 times as big as the GF scone) but we were the charged the same for both scones. I think this was the final straw for me! I was being given a small scone left over from the previous delivery, which had to be toasted because it was hard and they had the audacity to charge the same as a large, freshly made normal scone! What an insult. The coffee was also very overpriced (a small teacup of Americano cost £2.50). I am afraid that after many years of wonderful coffee and meals at The Loft, this may have been my last visit. It is not just the disappointment that a basic GF diet cannot be accommodated but the feeling that we are not important enough to deserve a freshly made scone like everyone else. On top of that then is the insult to charge £2.65 for a small, hard, stale scone with jam and butter. I think you can do much better.

On 24 May the Northern Ireland Executive changes the COVID restrictions to allow indoor eating with certain conditions. These include table service only and customer detail to be recorded to allow for track and trace. Unfortunately on Saturday 20 May these conditions were being ignored in the Loft - we had to queue at the serving counter along with a whole line of customers and no contact details were sought. In addition several staff were not wearing their face coverings properly at times including on who had hers pulled down below here chin throughout our visit.

I called at The Loft @ Linen Green today for something to eat. My friend and I came to shop in the complex. I decided on a Mexican Chicken wrap. I asked was there a garnish with it? I was told it came with Lettuce Leaves and Nachos. Ok. "I dont want the Nachos could I have a couple of pieces of Tomato instead?" I was told quite forcefully "If you dont want the Nachos you cant have anything else with it" I said politely "Gosh thats a bit harsh" I was told if I wanted Tomato its extra and i'd have to pay for them". I said "no its fine Thank you" My friend ordered a salad from another lady (blonde hair in pony tail) which looked really nice. When I saw hers I changed my order to salad also. The above mentioned blonde hair lady changed my order. You are a credit to your employer. Courteous, customer friendly, warm, accommodating. You were everthing your your colleague beside you was not. So if your at The Loft @ The linen Green be sure not to ask for your Nachos to be changed to a couple of pieces of Tomato! Only for the lady who made our salads I would be rating this establishment as a 1! Some staff training on customer service required. Which is more expensive 2 slices of Tomato or a handful of Nachos 🤔

Today my elderly mother and i visited here for what was to be an enjoyable end to our day of shopping turned out to be the worst experince we have ever had in a coffee shop.We had selected our tray bakes and was waiting to order our coffee when i told my mum who isnt to fit on her feet to have a seat as i waited on our drinks. My mum proceeded to sit in an area which was sectioned off with 3 chairs which wasnt very visible to the eye and had no sign to say this area was closed. Then what happend next was totally unprofessional and to be quite honest unbeleivable to happen from someone who is serving the public. The member of staff who was taking the money at the till (old lady with the long dark hair )yelled at my mother across the room “that is closed off”then to make matters worse turned to the customer in front of me at the till and at the top of her voice with a face like thunder said “is it not obvious what the chairs are for”.to the other customer. At this point my mother was in total shock and was so embarrased by the way she was spoken to was so upset we had no option only to leave.I will never ever return to this place again i have never had such an experience like this and i travel to many a coffee shop all over the country and this is totally unacceptable behaviour.

You cannot get a simple Italian machiattone coffe-type, which is a symbol for Novi Sad for years. Now, after 20 years of having such a coffee, the Loft emoloyed Barishtas who get insulted and refuse to serve you the coffee that way. That is something I have not seen anywhere in the world, and I have travelled a lot in almost all continents. For that reason I avoid this place. The damage is theirs, since they get considerable minus in the till from not having me and my friends overthere often. Luckily there are much nicer places around. The food is fine, but just fine, nothing extraordinary, and sometimes you can wait too long for a service, which is totally uncommon in European cities.

Four of us dropped in here, mid-shop, for coffee and a tray bake or two. A good selection of tray bakes and the coffee and tea were fine. The only drawback is the time taken to make the coffee, which seemed to be a very inefficient process, where one was busy with the coffee while others seemed to have little to do. But the decor is pleasant, the furniture comfortable and the staff friendly. £11 for tea and buns for the four of us. worth it to escape the shopping for a while.

Although the adjacent shops at the Linen Green Centre do not open until 10.00am the café was open. Okay the staff were still setting up the counter with sweet buns etc. and we had to wait until 9.00am before the freshly baked scones were ready, you could have ordered a cooked breakfast, or even a bacon roll right away. Staff were friendly and helpful. As soon as the scones were ready they delivered them to our table. Large Americanos were £2.60 each and our bill came to £8.50 for 2 and 2 scones, making the scones good value at £1.65 each. The scones were tasty and a good size. We would definitely go here again.

Had been there on several occasions before and knew the food to be of a high quality. Quite a few customers in the premises- always a good sign. Served fairly promptly by an unsmiling assistant who directed me to another assistant for coffee. Again completely devoid of a smile - perhaps a corporate thing? She then informed me that as a section of the cafe was being cleaned, I would have to use whatever seats remained - understandable- but at 4pm!

This place used to be excellent but as with so many similar ventures, when it expanded, it got worse. Food is ok but everything is, to my mind, overblown - scones & tray-bakes are huge, ice-cream comes in incredible rainbow colours - all a tad too much to be palatable, and the soup was awash with salt. Plus, I distrust large jugs of milk left on the tables, for who knows how long. My main gripe however concerns hygiene. I was delighted to see that the girls cleaning the work surfaces were doing so without the aid of the ubiquitous spray bottle (am I the only one who hates having this substance squeezed inches from my face while I'm eating?), but I was less impressed when I watched one meticulously wipe down the chairs - backs & seats - then the table legs and footrests, and then the table tops and cruet sets, jugs, etc. WITH THE SAME CLOTH!!! No, no no - not good enough and not deserving of a 5* hygiene rating in my book

However, on asking a waitress who was clearing up for some water I was greeted with a curt "wait a minute" and she returned with two glasses of water with no ice or offer of. She put them down without a word or a smile. A different girl brought our coffees and the service could not have been nicer. Before I left I bought a sandwich to take away and also some caramel squares. The girl who made it up was lighting fast! And really friendly. All in all a nice experience except for that one thing. MORE AT TripAdvisor

A group of 4 called to the Linen Green en route to Belfast one SATURDAY - oh must have been around 4pm. Okay, I'll admit that I'm so disappointed to find and report that "little" has changed in over two years - as during my previous visit I found the Loft Coffee Bar & Restaurant absolutely bunged, with a queue for self service running right across the access/ egress point to the place, extending more than half way down the stairs! Oh, and the lift was not in service? To say nothing has changed would be a tad unfair because I notice that an additional counter has been added to accommodate customers looking for a coffee / bun or desert (including the ice cream counter) as opposed to a sandwich / lunch / hot food etc. I shouldn't make comment about the latter as there was no way I was going to stand in that queue - but because of that fact I'd be very surprised if the speed of service / payment at the till has improved! During a previous visit anything purchased was stone cold before we got it to the table - admittedly though, the food does look nice providing you get there at the right time i.e. before the rush. I imagine weekdays, might give a better experience, but then again who knows - as I understand this is a location regularly used by bus tours and outings (generally women's groups) and, it seems like a spot local businesses might support during the earlier part of the working day? It's interesting to read the reviews of this venue - repeatedly we are warned of the extended queue prior to the food counter, of unpleasant staff, and too often I read that procedures to shut up shop begin well in advance of closing time (which incidentally is a personal annoyance of mine)! Realistically though I can't imagine too many customers read the reviews prior to the visit (I might be wrong)? Our Saturday afternoon visit confirmed all of the negative comments contained in the majority of the other negative reviews. Granted we did use the smaller counter which saved time, but tables were cluttered and uncleared leaving little choice other than to clear it ourselves before we took our seats, and that's a bad start to any experience in a restaurant. The coffee I loved - hot and wet; and the apple & cinnamon desert with cream was to die for, though there's no doubt it would have been enjoyed more had the tart been heated even a little. I wonder if others would agree with the suggestion that portion size is reviewed - a smaller size might bring in less revenue at one time granted, but it would mean that we would stop eating earlier, consume less calories, and not feel sick by the time the plate is cleared. I realise that there is an option and I could stop eating, but let's be realistic here - do many people really want to considering the price paid? (I know there are others just like me who simply keep right on eating to the last crumb is gone because the cost is high and we want to leave nothing behind - almost eat or die if you know what I mean - lol)! The proof is in the pudding so to speak = Within the 30 mins I I spent in The Loft, there was so much food left on so many abandoned plates it was really quite scandalous!Perhaps management should consider the wastage factor? Smaller portions could mean less preparation time, less storage space and it certainly would reduce time taken to clear away.A lower price might bring more business, quicker turn around and the reduced cost of a complete pavlova / cheesecake etc. would mean less cost. It would also increase the number of tables which could be cleared, making more available; reduce the time required to scrape food into waste receptacles, even support (in an itsy-bitsy way those folk, including myself who would benefit from loosing some weight in Northern Ireland). These large portions cost more too and who knows, smaller sizes might encourage more sales - it might be great to hear shrieks of glee, awe or amusement at the huge "whallop" of what ever is on the counter, but have you ever considered how many sales opportunities are being missed? There are some wise people around who opt to share, but there are also others who sensibly decline knowing they won't be well by the time they munch their way to an empty plate.Common guys - surely there must be an appreciation that your restaurant is located in an enviable position here - your eatery is always busy, and there's no doubt the Pounds are rolling in but, there is room for improvement in every establishment! Why not take some of the well-intended feedback you receive on board? It would be so good to witness a concerted effort to address the negatives listed above and to reduce the exorbitant prices - even if you take exception to the suggestion of smaller portions sizes?

However, as much as we love this little place, the menu is significantly over priced for Northern Ireland, at 5.99 for a panini I think Is pushing it a bit. There is also a significant issue with the business during lunch times, however I am aware that this is nothing the restaurant can help with. Even with the faults, this still remains my favourite coffee bar in N Ireland, I'de defiantly reccomend giving it a try.

Called in here while browsing the shops. It was before lunchtime so didn't want anything too heavy. I opted for Americano and raspberry roulade. My husband had espresso and lemon meringue. Very generous portions and delicious.

We are mostly vegetarian and just fancied a light lunch so we were pleased to be able to enjoy a large plate of the various salads which were on offer. Good selection. Well priced.

No matter when we go this place is rammed.Pretty much the only eatery still functioning at the linen green.....but it was always busy even when there were alternatives.Hit it at peak times and you can expect to queue to be served.Good selection of snack type foods or full meal menu.....and excellent dessert selection.Maybe a tad on the expensive side....but nothing outrageous.

food is fair but excessively priced, little change from twenty pounds for two sandwiches and two drinks!!My main grumble is the very dated and dark toilets - very shabby and in need of refurb and paint and clean!!

Food is absolutely lovely. I'm a big guy and can put away a lot of food, so this place for me is costly, but I enjoy great food. I always get extra portions which adds the cost up. But if your out and about, want great food and a coffee afterwards, this is the place. Great selection of deserts also.

Stopped here for a coffee to break up a long journey... Lunches looked lovely and well presented, but I had only went in looking a cup of coffee and a scone... Plenty of choice and ended up with pavlova and a latte, my partner had banoffee and a hot chocolate, both were huge portions and absolutely beautiful... Will definitely return to sample the lunch..

Been here a few times for breakfast, lunch and coffees. Usually an incredibly busy self service restaurant with a wide variety of items on the menu. Hard to find fault except to say perhaps it is a bit more pricey that comparable venues locally.

The Linen Green in Moygashel is a small shopping centre on th eoutskirts of Dungannon where many people go for a bit of shopping therapy culminating in a trip to one of the restaurants before beginning the journey home.We chose the Loft Coffee Bar & Restaurant after checking out the closing time on the web and discovering it was 5.00 p.m which gave us enough time for a relaxing snack. However, much to our suprise when we climbed the stairs to the 'Loft' the staff were well on the way to closing shop even though it was just after 4.30 p.m.We settled for a coffee and a tea and two buns which cost us £6.70 and went to sit at a seat by the window but were told not to go there as the area was closed! We picked another table and were just about to get stuck into the buns when we were nearly swept on to our feet by cleaning staff.clearly who were clearly on a mission to shut the place down.Astonishingly people were still being served tea and coffee and the money was rolling into the till even though it was clear that they were not going to enjoy a relaxing time consuming it.The tea and coffee was first class and the buns weren't bad either but the purpose of the visit was mainly to sit and relax, take a breather before facing the evening traffic rush and it was spoiled. Why on earth allow customers to come in when the main motivation ts to get them out before the 5.00 deadline? To some extent our visit to the Linen Green was spoiled by this experience and we certainly won't be rushing back to the Loft Coffee Bar to be rushed out.

Had family lunch for 4. Soup was very nice and clearly home made as it should be. Smoothy was served but then taken back by the staff (Unprompted) as it did not meet staff standard. Good on you for being conscientious. Staff good and helpful to our needs. Vast selection of sandwiches and home made local dishes which all looked very appetising.

Used to enjoy coming here regularly for coffee and scones but the place feels like a cattle market these days. Far too busy, the queues are horrible, and service is rushed and abrupt. Once you finally get to the end of the queue more often than not you find yourself with nowhere to sit. Also prices are pretty steep. Food is ok, but can get just as good elsewhere and actually enjoy the experience.

The food is very good with a great variety of choice for everyone. It is a very busy coffee /restaurant shop but queues are something the staff seem well trained to deal with. The variation iis brillant & is always hard to choose what to have. The quiche is lovely home made & today i had a fresh prawn & marie rose sauce wrap & salad which was delicious. The desserts & traybakes are so lovely & again it is hard to choose . If i had one negative point it is the toilets they are awful & for such a lovely eating place do not represent the restaurant. This is an issue needs attention

Called in for coffee and cake. Staff busy clearing up after serving lunches and we were made to feel we were interrupting them. They did have specials on some cakes which made them very reasonable but as the cake was slapped onto the plate and was broken up it was not appetizing looking. Scones tasted good as did the cake but the attitude took away from any enjoyment.

I called in her a few days ago at lunch time and left again as the line for service was so long.If calling in during the traditional lunch time rush be prepared to wait in line - they do not offer table service and ask that you do not secure a table until you have paid for your food at the till. However if you can get here a little early or wait until after 2pm, it really is worth it. The food is usually excellent, but I really only go here for the desserts which are hugh.I recommend the pavlova or the lemon meringue. The also have a good ice cream bar which the kids love on a saturday for a special treat. As part of the Linen Green complex this is a great place to spoil yourself with a sweet treat while doing a spot of window shopping.

Had lunch today with my partner. Everything looked lovely, but the portion sizes were enormous and very off putting! I had chicken and broccoli bake, very bland and I couldn't find any broccoli in it! It came with three salads and to be honest they piled the plate high, some people might like that, but it put me off before I had even tried it. The girl on the till wasn't very friendly either, have to say I won't be rushing back!

I meet friends here every few months, and sit for several hours and drink copious amounts of tea. The staff are friendly, and the menu is lovely. Their soups are most delicious. Only fault I can report is that they charged us £1 for a teapot of hot water ( like to keep it hot!), but apparently if we had taken it in a jug, it would have been free! But we'll know for the next time! Just be warned..in the toilets..if you're not quick enough to flush, it happens automatically, and can frighten the life out of you!

Ate here recently and its hard to get past the canteen feel of the place. It was VERY busy but the queue did move quickly enough and the staff were pleasant. The food was ok and the portion was a good size. While in the queue I noticed some of the staff moving the pastries and buns around the various displays and they were really pawing the food, without gloves! It put us right off and was a bit of a disappointment as they did look really good.

I have been here several times and the food never disappoints. My personal favourite is the chicken and broccoli bake-yum! This place is always busy, but sometimes I feel their ordering system could be improved as this can be very slow and having to stand in the long queue is not ideal for older people or people with children.

An upstairs cafe - not sure about disabled access. A great variety of tasty food - not just typical British fare! We enjoyed beef with pepper and noodles. Good coffee, lots of seating, but you can't reserve a table prior to getting your order. It is about half way between Enniskillen and Belfast - s good choice if you need a break! Very close to the motorway and main roads.

Not very impressed by the Loft staff on this occasion, had average expensive scones, no sign of jam, given pot of tea and told milk was on th tables, no milk, nearby tables no milk just empty jugs. Lifted a used jug and brought it to counter where I saw a 2 litre carton of milk sitting, poured a jug for myself, told by waitress "You work away there" (thanks!) Then upon beginning my tea and a chat, had a girl noisily trailing the heavy wooden chairs next to us away from the tables as she started sweeping the floors, she even pulled the table away right beside where we were sitting, how unmannerly was that! If she had even apologised or acknowledged our presence in any way it would have been something. This trailing and brushing went on right around our table and I see no reason why this couldnt have waited til we had finished, we were only having a scone and a cup of coffee not a 3 course meal - I wont be back!!!
