Went for Mother’s Day what a lovely little place this is great hospitality from staff and owners even going the extra mile for my wife’s dish having run out of salmon the owner/chef conjured up a lovely fish dish for my wife (which she thoroughly enjoyed) portions were really good taste was wonderful I had a garlic prawn bhuna which was one of the best I’ve ever tasted we will be paying another visit to this little gem when we’re around frodsham again

I visited Little India for my Dad's birthday, having read good reviews online. We certainly weren't disappointed! We were warmly greeted by the owner, who went out of her way to accommodate us. Even making a particular naan bread that wasn't on the menu for us. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal, my Dad was presented with a slice of cake and a brandy for his birthday. My son was also given a lovely penguin ice cream as a treat. It was a lovely touch and made our day. We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing service and fantastic food. Will be returning regularly. Staff are lovely and interact with the customers they genuinely enjoy a conversation and nothing is too much trouble. Booking in again soon and hoping to visit at least once a month.

We dined here on Thursday evening for our daughter’s birthday. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly. The meal itself was absolutely beautiful , everything was fresh, hot and delicious. We would definitely go back again and we would highly recommend it to our friends.

Really poor experience tonight. Have been before and normally ok but tonight it was not overly busy but we waited nearly 1 and 3 quarter hours for our mains, and that was only due to us prompting them to hurry. Food was average and very dry, deffo a belief that they were holding us up to sell us more alcohol. Will not visit again which is a shame because the owners are lovely people.

Put in a 12 person order from here. Food was correct and was of good quality. Portions decent size. Friendly staff. Would go again. If a large party would try book in advance if possible. Its a very small restaurant so if a busy night, you may not get a table large enough

Wouldn't really bother going here again. We ordered for collection, was told to arrive at a certain time which we did, then had to wait in the restaurant for a further 35 minutes as they clearly forgot to cook our order until we got there. No apology from the staff about the wait. Food was bland and mediocre, all the curries tasted exactly the same, wished we'd gone elsewhere to be honest as it was expensive for what we got.

Excellent onion bhajis, the chicken bhuna was tasty and you got a good sized portion. Really reasonable price as well! The staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Visited on the back of good reviews. However, very disappointed. We waited nearly 80 minutes for our food. Looked like take aways were taking priority!! Portions were not large per earlier reviews but were adequate. Food was overly tomato based and not particularly authentic or tasty. Red wine was full of sediment. Very disappointed and wouldn't revisit

Really nice food service great can't fault the place

Very disappointed, went as group of 14 guest pre book weeks in advance. For my brother 50th birthday. Got there at 7 o’clock sat for 40 minutes before I ask for waiter could he take our order , let’s not forget he hadn’t even ask us if wanted any drinks. Long story short it took 3 hours to get our food. Can’t believe we stayed. Sorry won’t be returning.

Had a lovely night out in Little India. John and Prya are excellent hosts. The food is so authentic indian cuisine and served with such attention to detail. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Would highly recommend.

Food was okay but it's a very small restaurant with a rather depressing interior.

This is the best Indian I’ve ever tasted. The food is cooked fresh to order. It’s not swimming in oil/grease like many are, and it tastes amazing. So much flavour to it. I can’t recommend highly enough. Be prepared to wait between courses, which is worth the wait, but remember it’s being cooked to order, not just heated in a microwave

What a fab place this is. The hosts are so attentive and wonderful food. You have to pre-book for lunch. Faultless, will definitely return

Not knowing the area I choose this restaurant as it had good reviews, more importantly vegan options for my daughter. So glad we dined here food was lovely, owners were very pleasant and engaged with us. If ever I'm in area again I would definitely eat here

One of my favourite restaurants to visit when I'm in Frodsham. Service is fabulous. Food is absolutely delicious and fresh and just an all round relaxing atmosphere in this little gem. Planning another visit very soon!

Having booked a table for 2 for 6pm we arrived on time.We were taken upstairs to be seated,there was no one else on this floor.The room is very pleasant but cold and no ambiance.I wanted to leave but my partner persuaded me to stay. Fortunately the food was very good,but we left after eating without our usual coffee/cocktails.Had we wanted to sit alone we’d have stayed home it was certainly not how I would usually go out to dine. So we won’t be returning

We have been this place several times, on the weekend it was extremely busy. All staff was rushed off there feet. I had to give 3 stars due to our starter being cold/frozen and due to it being so busy we nearly waited 2hours for our main. They give our little one a free dessert so he was happy. The main was delicious and we will return.

I've eaten at the "Little India" restaurant only on a few occasions due to distance from home. It is a small intimate restaurant and customers are made very welcome by both the owner John and staff. The food is in my view very good indeed and the wine list whilst not extensive offers a good selection at very reasonable prices. Rather than trawl through the menu I placed my trust in the chefs recommendation of a set meal for two and found that the starters and mains complemented each other perfectly. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Mushroom pilau trice was absolutely disgusting. Was sticky & swimming in very greasy oil which tasted & smelt like dirty cooking oil gone off! chicken Tikka the same. Was only warm too. All that money spent,, to just toss in the bin. Never ever will I go there again. First & last! I was never out of the bathroom all evening & that was due to swallowing only one mouthful. Seriously Avoid!!!

Portions were good size but the taste is vey poor. Lack of salt and no taste at all. The delivery was very late and we had to call several times for asking for the delivery

This place was recommended to us and also had good reviews too. However, our experience wasn't so good. They seem to use sugar a lot here so most of the dishes have an unpleasant sweetness to them. I love spicy food but not sweet and spicy. Chicken was also very dry, tasting like microwave food.

Vegetarian food was good and taste was authentic Indian. Lady cook from Eastern India greeted us nicely and was very keen to know if we enjoyed the food. Overall we were happy.

The best authentic Indian food I have ever had in the UK! The flavour, quality, service and ingredients all speak for themselves. You can really tell there is genuine passion in every dish. Nothing falls short. If you’re in the Cheshire area this is the best Indian by far. I really lucked out this being my local Indian!

The most delicious Indian I’ve ever had in my entire life. The food is gorgeous, the staff are all lovely and attentive. Whenever me and my partner visit we always leave feeling full, satisfied and well looked after.

Rough! King Prawn Biriyani had 5 prawns only. Bright food colouring rice added to normal coloured rice. Lemon pilau as above but with bits of chopped lemon in it - including the skin - Yuk. Clearly the have a big vat of rice they just mix up. The fish masala was disgusting. Bright artificial red/shocking pink that you could see from mars! Tons of sugary sauce and again barely any fish. When I arrived to collect the order that was ordered 45 minutes earlier they werent ready. - utter shambles Cost for 2 take away mains = £23 I wouldnt return - avoid

This is a fantastic little curry house. Smaller than usual for a restaurant but more than makes up for it in character and flavour of food. Staff are great, very friendly and knowledgeable about dishes. Overall a really nice, pleasant experience.

Went Friday 24th june Never again worst food I and my other two friends have had in many years my food was cold and dry and may have been cooked in a microwave! Dreadful food

Starters ok. Main course (chicken tikka jalfrezi) dreadful- it was hot but no curry sauce, more like a spicy tomato sauce. Service slow. Might have called on an off day. Not impressed.

Tried for the first time tonight and loved it. Got the chicken shashlik karahi and a korma, both were lovely. Samosa, bajii were really good and the popadoms were super fresh!! If your local and need a curry please support this place :)

Called in for a meal after a busy week in work.The staff were very attentative and are very friendly and chatted to us about the food. Very knowledgeable. I said I wanted to try something different and could the surprise me, I was asked what I liked and then they brought out a Chicken Tikka Sizzling with boiled rice and some lovely fresh chunky chips, and a naan bread and a Zamdani lamb for the husband. it was all extremely tasty and I would definitely recommend it and choose it again. In fact next time I go I'm going to try the duck version of the tikka Sizzling.. Wish I'd taken a photo but I'd eaten it too quickly. Excellent service and will be going back. Definitely recommend this place to everyone, can't fault it.

We had not been to an Indian restaurant for 8 years, and boy, the food was excellent. John and his team were all fantastic and made our anniversary night just perfect, will definitely be returning again in the future.

Ordered a takeaway for collection and was told it'd be ready 40 minutes later. Arrived 40 minutes later to a very quiet restaurant and had to wait another hour!Got food home which was cold and hands down the worst curry we have ever eaten. Bland, tasteless and about 3 pieces of meat. Would definitely NOT recommend!

Unfortunately our visit to the restaurant was not very successful. After over 2 hours we had only had starters. The starters were in fact lovely and we were looking forward to the main but we gave up and paid for what we had consumed and left. Priority appears to be given to deliveries and takeaways. The servers seem to be busy apart from a young lad that sits behind the bar playing with his phone. He could perhaps serve drinks as this was also lacking in service. I would perhaps try the takeaway service in the future

Food is amazing. I try to alter my dishes each time I go and I'm never dissapointed Staff are very friendly and attentative. Nothing is too much trouble.

I have visited this place many times and although the staff in this restaurant are welcoming and friendly, we feel the meals are consistently lacking in the amount meat provided.The kema naans are amazing given they are freshly made on site, however, we play find and seek with the meat once again.To be clear, the quality and taste of the food is faultless!The meat quantity as mentioned is not.The restaurant could also do with being warmer as we have to leave our coats on each time we visit.

Went on Saturday, waited 15 minutes before even our drinks order was taken, then waited 1hr 15mins for the food to arrive. Meanwhile there were only 3 tables of 2 in the restaurant! Plenty of takeaway orders flying out the door though, so clearly paying customers in the restaurant are lower on the priority list. Food was okay, but nothing special really so won't be visiting again, shame as it looked a nice place.

Food was served very fresh and the service was very attentive, particularly recommended for families with younger children.

We have made several visits to the Little India, over the years. The owners and staff are very friendly. As for the food, well, what ever meals we have had, they have always been full of all the flavours you would expect, served hot and in a timely manner. Catering for various group sizes, we have been as a couple and in family size of 14, with children. Something, that I would like to mention, which was not an issue for us, but possibly would be for others. The toilet's are located on the second floor.

Second time waited over an hour for take away, nobody in the restaurant with food on the table. Shame, nice food. Tip, if you don't have the staff , don't take telephone orders

The wife and I were passing through Frodsham and decided to have a bite to eat. Quickly established that The Little India had some great reviews so called in.Easy parking on the high street opposite and in we went. This is a lovely intimate famy run resfaurant.We received a very welcoming greeting from the owner and got a table without a booking. A very prompt drinks service (a pint of Cobra and a glass of sauvignon blanc) and took our order.We decided on popadoms with a chutney tray, meat smosas and onion bhajis to start followed by chicken jalfarezi with pilau, garlic naan and chips.The pace of the service was perfect no rushing between servings. The food was fresh and hot. Popadoms were crisp and the sauces lovely. The 2 meat samosas were delicious as were the 3 bhajis each with a fresh side salad.The jalfrezi was the best I have had. Succulent chicken pieces and crisp veg in a fairly hot sauce. The dish was left on a grill above a candle to keep it warm which we thought was a nice touch.Throughout our meal the owners were highly attentive and very friendly. This is a little gem of a place and well worth a visit. Reasonably priced and good menu.

Fabulous meal. Food was delicious. We were made very welcome by helpful serving staff. Great range of food with all diets catered for. I'm veggie, and was not limited on the menu. Many options are gluten free and chef also happy to adjust spice/heat to taste on request too. A gem of a place. I hope to visit again soon.

I am a lover of Indian food and therefore quite selective or particular. I have visited Little India a number of times and find the meals consistently fresh and delicious , the owner and staff are always welcoming , friendly and provide a high quality service .

Disappointed ..friends birthday.booked in at 6.didnt get out starter till 8.30 and waited for drinks...the takeaway orders were flying out which was annoying...

My wife and I took a friend for a birthday treat. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We all had a different meals and they were all very nice and tasty. Coudn't fault anything. We will return the next time we are in Frodsham. Highly recommended.

Worst meal ever had First off ordered meal without prawns due to shellfish allergies yet all meals contained prawns .. we asked for no prawns !! ( they did offer to re cook ) Overpriced .. small portions , greasy onion bhajis AVOID AVOID AVOID

Ordered a curry for delivery at 6.20 and was told 2hrs to be delivered and still not here after nearly 4hrs and 3 promises if delivery in between ,very poor
