Please don't eat in atrocious service.. Order 4 meals for 3 adults 1 child, only 3 meals turned up and no one to speak to just left in the restaurant on your own. Portion sizes were small, one meal was meant to be a large and it was the same size as a medium. Sme number of chips and cod was pretty much the same size. Restaurant was cold. Just a sorry but everyone had finished eating by that point.

Food is ok . Nothing special but definitely not bad. However there are excellent fish and chip shops in Folkestone so this one doesn't come close...We were in the restaurant . It was a cold day and there was no proper heating...The small heater thing didn't make a difference..

Booked a table for 10 on Xmas Eve and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Chips were cooked perfectly and fish was excellent. Well priced beer menu and friendly staff.

Waited 45 minutes after booked delivery time. We are regular customers but not now. Chips were dreadful - greasy remnants of end of shift. Fish was ok but batter greasy. Far below our previous experiences. Thankfully we have another chippy in town - not angel lane as lost faith in standards

Called in on the way home after a long day out as I’d heard they did gluten free. YES! A gluten free cooking zone and delicious batter on fresh cod and proper chip shop chips. Parking is challenging to say the least, but I parked up a side road.

This always used to be a great British chippy with crinkle cut chips back in the day but the last 2 or 3 times I've been in here I've not been impressed, had to ask for my change after they took my money and closed the till, they put vinegar on my chips without asking and I can't stand the stuff so they did give me a fresh portion this time but through most of them away the last time they did it and my savaloy was cold and skin all split so all in all not a very good experience this time hence feeling the need to rite a review. Will I come and try it again well that's arguable and unsure if I will I mite of given some leeway but I was the only one in there !!!!

Delicious cod. Fish & chips is always a treat but rarely remarkably good. Dinner last night was excellent and 3 of us felt it was exceptional.

As usual the fish was cooked to order and was very good in size, quality and freshness. I must admit the chips were a bit tired as though they had been cooked a while and left in the hot compartment for too long.

Disgusting! We ordered 1 jumbo battered sausage and 1 normal jumbo sausage and received a normal jumbo and a small normal sausage… We also ordered 2 cans of drinks which were stolen by the just eat driver apparently. The lady on the end of the phone was rude and argumentative and did not offer to rectify the situation. The food wasn’t very nice either, rubbery chips and tasteless sausage. Never ordered again!

This has always been a very good quality fish and chip shop/restaurant which we visit about 5 or 6 times a year, this week we were disappointed to note that their high standards have dropped. Though the quantity was provided the quality wasn't. Regrettably the fish and the chips tasted as though they had been fried in oil that was long overdue for a change. The tang and aftertaste was not too pleasant. There were different staff attending so maybe it has changed hands and not such stringent attention is given to the basics, the cost of fresh oil should not be an excuse as the cost of the portions has of course increased significantly. I hope it has returned to a higher standard for our next visit, otherwise we shall go elsewhere.

Really enjoyed our gluten free cod and chips this evening. Cooked in a separate fryer to avoid cross contamination and clearly marked on boxes. Was shown the ingredient list for the gluten free batter. Batter was crispy, a little thin but tasty and chips were lovely too. Definitely will return.

Freshly cooked fish and chips provided by this establishment. We have been critical in the past but it has returned to it's very high standard. The front of house young man was excellent and the fish and chips superb. Very good value.

Called into this small fish restaurant as we were passing through . The haddock was huge and was clearly fresh . The place was clean, and the service was friendly . I will definitely call again when I’m next in the area.

Have visited this fish and chip shop for more than 20 years whenever in the area. Today we were at Dungeness and drove to Sandgate in the hope of some more nice food. Sadly the experience was very poor and the food was not very nice. Fish was really smelly and all other items were greasy and not pleasant at all. Will not be going back! Its really telling looking back at this from 4 months ago that the owners never ever address the negative feedback where people are offering as little as 1 star for their service. Its interesting that others have suffered smelly rotten fish at this place too. Its easy to accept accolade but far more work addressing problems. Come on owners grow a pair and take the time to respond to people that have taken time to provide feedback, surely its the decnet thing to do!

We visited after a long and breezy walk from the harbour arm Folkestone to Sandgate so we're starving! I reviewed online reviews as I'm coeliac and the reviews were very good. I was visiting with my daughter, not coeliac and she has nuggets, chips and...

I was in between giving one or two stars here as the food we received was OK so I've given two. Pretty much everything else though was fairly poor. The group I was with ordered some standard portions of cod and chips as well as one child portion of cod and chips (we were told the difference is the cod is smaller and a few less chips). The price difference was £3.20, the portions were exactly the same size, they clearly use the same pieces of cod for child and standard portion but sell it at inflated prices. Keep that in mind if ordering here. Following that, we then realised for one of our orders of two portions of standard cod and chips, they gave us only one (child sized) piece of cod and three portions of chips! I don't understand how that could be messed up as they read it off the receipt as they box it up. We didn't bother going to back to complain about this because whilst waiting for our food had witnessed another customer have difficulty getting her order corrected (having not been given everything she ordered) - the staff were very unhelpful and didn't believe the customer that was complaining at first.

Order was a piece of cod missing when we got home which had been paid for. Also paid for regular cod and chips and a child's cod and chips. Portions were same size but almost double the cost for adults portion!

This used to be a typical seaside fish and chip shop now they serve up greasy bits of little fish with worst "chips" ever. Poor quality produce cooked horribly, find somewhere else, also expensive over £14 for two.

Huge portions of freshly cooked fish and chips. It's very popular, so expect to have to queue to order (against the building) then stand and wait for your order to be cooked (in the small carpark). There is also a restaurant where you can eat in, but the restaurant does not do takeaway so don't even think of trying that to jump the queue 😁

Very recently ordered large cod and chips and savaloy and chips from this shop!.... Ordered Haddock and chips plus a Scampi and chips. As soon as I cut into the Haddock I could smell it was rotten. It really stank. The chips were not cooked enough and my daughter's Scampi was undercooked. To give them credit they refunded us in total. I noted it had a hygiene rating of 2 out of 5 but the owner said it was an old rating and he could show me his freezers. I just asked why he was freezing rotten fish. They said they had never had a complaint: guess they haven't looked on here. This used to be wonderful but I won't be going back.
