The Lido Cafe in Lambeth

Had a blast, adorable concept, great food, albeit the variety in selection is mild, as well as the selection of beer was ultimately minimal. But a cozy lovely place nonetheless.

Atmosphere is great. Staff behind the coffee machine looked really stressed which resulted in one of them speaking really rudely to us. Coffee was surprisingly average for it being allpress

The pizzas are brill, the staff are helpful and friendly and hardworking, and the location is amazing with the beautiful sparkling lido in the background. Sometimes there are really good deals on pizza and a pint aswell.

Wonderful restaurant, friendly staff and banging pizza! Great place to have dinner or lunch after a swim in the lido.

Very underwhelmed by lack of breakfast choice and staff definitely could do with customer service training - this used to be a wonderfully busy place to have breakfast under different management. Sadly no longer just a huge missed opportunity. We won’t be returning or recommending.

Rhubarb pizza is my absolute fave. Always lovely service and the setting makes you feel like you’re on holiday!

Pleasant little cafe right next to the lido with separate access. It has a little tropical vibe and so felt a little exotic. Decent prices and really tasty pizza, it wasn't sourdough but was high quality with the right amount of sauce and toppings to leave you satisfied. Would recommend and definitely go again. Also had vegan options but I ordered the normal Margherita.

A lot has changed! We had a birthday brunch there a couple of years ago. Now (visited last Saturday) I wouldn't dream of it. Sticky tables, lethargic staff, limited menu, drab food. And you wait and wait. Yes, it's kid and dog friendly. Wouldn't take either there. And the most interesting bit? You sometimes get a "thank you" after posting a review, good or bad. Way to go, Lido! Plenty of better places in Herne Hill.

Esto sonaba como si pudiera ser un lugar bastante pintoresco, pero me decepcionó bastante. A mi llegada me informaron que estaban fuera de todos los pasteles y pasteles. Me senté afuera con vista a la piscina que estaba en gran parte oculta por el follaje. El café estaba bien pero el croissant era bastante normal. Todo el café parece cansado con el servicio y la comida que no compensa la apariencia. No me apresuraré a volver.

Very average, service always very slow and food certainly not worth the wait. A shame as this place has lots of potential.

Been here 3 times this summer and every single time the service has been awful. Just left after sitting for 25 minutes waiting to give my order. I had been sat by someone so they knew I was there, waved a few times and was ignored. Really annoys me when a place like this can’t get the basics right. I know this review will do nothing to harm it’s custom because the location is so good and they will always do well. Perhaps that’s why they don’t feel like customer service is worth investing some time in?

Realmente no me gusta escribir malas críticas pero. . . ¡He visitado dos veces en los últimos días y en ambas ocasiones el servicio ha dejado mucho que desear! En ambas ocasiones pedí café para llevar y una pastelería para llevar al lado del Lido. Mucha gente hace eso, por lo que pensarías que habría un sistema para esto. Tristemente no. En ambas ocasiones tuvimos que pasar el rato por una caja, preguntarle a un miembro del personal dónde podíamos ordenar, ser ignorados, y finalmente tomar nuestra orden. Luego hay que esperar un buen rato para llevar: en una ocasión, la mujer que preparó los cafés fue muy grosera con nosotros y nos dijo que no estábamos en el lugar correcto, a pesar de que no estaba claro dónde deberíamos estar esperando. en realidad nadie nos lo dijo. También me cobraron extra en una visita (no sabía nada diferente) y solo me enteré cuando recibí mi pedido; me devolvieron el artículo extra a regañadientes. También se quedaron sin pasteles rápidamente: ¡pensaría que habría mucho stock en los días calurosos y soleados! El café era bueno y la repostería era buena, pero el servicio y la actitud dejan mucho que desear. ¡No creo que elegiría comer allí dadas estas experiencias a menos que algo cambie pronto!

The menu is very simple but ridiculously overpriced, the food does not worth its price. They make you wait min 30 mins before you get your food, even if it is just a simple sandwich, can be made in 5 minutes. The waitresses are super weird, full of attitude, barely wanted to take the badly made sandwich off the bill, saying they can't void food. Interestingly they did just that when complained (about that too). Do yourself and your wallet a favour and give it a miss, go eat in the pub opposite instead.

We waited an hour and 20 minutes for toast and eggs. The toilets are really grim.

Not what it used to be. This place used to be wonderful, beautiful location and delicious food. But something has changed, probably the management. The menu is now completely different, the food is now average at most and the service is terrible. We waited more than an hour for our food (does it take an hour to spread avocado on toast?) and it was really nothing to come back for. Such a shame, we used to love it but we won't be coming back.

Although I liked the lido this did not match it for me. The scrambled eggs was awful, bread was ok and bacon was decent. We had to also wait ages and customer service wasn't up to standard.

Food delicious but terrible service. Very unwelcoming on arrival and unapologetic for long wait. Food is too expensive for that kind of service. Their responses on google are also just for show. Emailed them back when they commented but heard absolutely nothing from them!

Amazing friendly and quick service from Toni , amazing food both the pasta, spaghetti and pizza. Definitely a 5 star rating from me!

The Lido Cafe is clean, bright with a great outlook onto the Lido. It no longer takes bookings which is handy, we didn’t have to wait on a Sunday morning for our brunch. The service is pretty good, the coffee is good and the food is awesome. A great little gem and very child/dog friendly.

I come here a lot, often after parkrun or after my training runs when I was getting ready for the marathon. My last visit was on a Monday morning the day after the marathon. The coffee here is fantastic and it often appears on lists of the best coffee places in London. The menu has taken a different path recently and now focuses on gluten free and vegan food. It took a bit of getting used to but I enjoyed the vegan English breakfast (seitan and tofu) a lot. The service was okay because it was quiet but I agree with other reviews that the staff often seem overstretched and they do tend to run out of things on the menu at busy times.

The staff work hard but there are not enough of them. It’s always been like this. Service is so slow. The venue is great. Food just ok. The management needs to invest more in staff and looking at systems to speed things up. Eg they could ask people to share tables. If we got served quicker, there could be more customers and this would more than compensate for extra team members. It took well over an hour to get food. I’ll only come again for a drink if I’ve got plenty of time. The location is great but that’s about it.

Agree with Joe. Slow service with no smile from the staff. Also I see no reason for the customers to leave a "discretionary" service charge to be honest.

Aparecí esperando el sabroso menú habitual para descubrir que ya no existe. En su lugar se encuentra un menú brunch todo el día muy básico. Las bebidas son demasiado caras y un gran cargo por el servicio se agregó automáticamente a mi factura a pesar de que el servicio era poco atento y antipático. En el futuro, elegiré uno de los otros cafés locales para bebidas y comida, ya sea para el brunch o más. ¡Traiga de vuelta la vieja gerencia por favor!

Vivo localmente y solía ir todo el tiempo. Fui por primera vez en mucho tiempo y me fui sin comer. Se habían quedado sin varias cosas en un menú muy corto para el 11. 30 de la mañana. Cuando seleccionamos algo, nos informaron que llevaría mucho tiempo, por lo que sería mejor pedir huevos. Entonces cancelamos. Me cobraron demasiado por un café negro, que era el único que habían logrado solucionar. (Me fue devuelto el exceso). Evitar, de manera múltiple, mejores lugares de la zona.

해물 리조또랑 봉골레 뽀꼬 쌀레로 주문했더니 입맛에 너무 잘맞았어요. 부모님들도 대 만족. 베니치아에서 여러번 먹은 음식중에 제일 나았어요. 후기 보고 걱정했는데.. 봉골레는 추천할정도로 맛있진 않고 먹을만 했어요 햄버거도요! 해물 리조또는 정말 맛있었어서 추천드려요! 해산물 죽 맛이나요!

Esperamos una hora para la comida y luego llegó la mitad de la comida y se habían olvidado de la orden restante. Les informé que no podía comer ciertas partes de un plato debido a la alergia y me informaron que tal vez no fuera posible hacerlo ya que el chef estaba ocupado, no molesto por la alergia. El servicio fue muy pobre, sin importar e incluso se rió cuando se dio cuenta de que faltaba la mitad del pedido.

Tuve brunch con mi hija y tuve una visita encantadora. Nos sentamos al lado del Lido a la luz del sol y tuvimos una comida vegana encantadora. Mis rosti de apio eran deliciosos. El servicio es relajado, así que no vayas si tienes prisa, pero me encantó.

The lovely location and staff really made it for me but if you add the tasty menu and a fabulous Bloody Mary then it really hits the mark. Will defo visit this place as a regular now.

Avoid! If the stench of burnt cooking oil wafting from the kitchens over the adjoining lido doesn't raise a red flag, the chaotic environment upon entering surely will. Service (if it even qualifies as such) is inept and stroppy. The food offer is at best hit n miss with the emphasis on the latter. Coffee could be good if they could be bothered serving it adequately hot. Everything is overpriced. Oh but it's all vegan, so that's okay! Clientele is principally of the shouty entitled yummy mummy genre - another reason to avoid. They used to do half priced coffee to warm the bodies and souls of those who had just finished their cold water swim in the Lido. Even that token of generosity has been culled. Mean and greedy!! Vegan me arse! And don't reply asking me to email you as I already have, several times, and not once have I received a reply.

Been such a fan for years but the Lido is no longer on my top places to recommend in the area, sadly. Its now turned into a vegan restaurant which i didn’t appreciate on my last visit as their burger and chips used to be exceptional and i looked forward to as a treat. The vegan menu was very limited (pumpkin soup... v imaginative!). For some strange reason there were sausage baps and chorizo on the menu for us pesky carnivores... went for the sausage bap and it was not great at all. I would love to see the lido offer an organic and sustainable menu with the choice of good meat, fish and vegan dishes and not force a lifestyle choice on to others so we can all continue to use this building. Or maybe its just time for a new team to run the space.

Amazing location, great coffe, lovely service. And their buckwheat panckes are to die for. Overall I've been there lots and I was never disappointed.

Nice little cafe, who were quite accomodating for our mums-with-prams lunch. The view of the lido, even in winter, added to the pleasant atmosphere. I was surprised the whole menu was vegetarian (and missed the fact that all the sides were meat?), however my Shakshuka was very tasty and so was the bread that came with it. The whole menu had gluten free and other options all over it and it appears that they work hard to be inclusive. My only reservation is that it is quite small and a little cramped so I bet it is really hard to get a table/seat in the summer and they don't take reservations, so if you want to plan to eat here, you could easily be disappointed.

This place had quite clearly changed hands - the food was terrible. Undercooked poached eggs, avocado mixed with so much lime it overpowered everything else, very bitter coffee (both I and the friend I was with had to put sugar in ours) - I sent my food back and it wasn’t much better the second time. Shame as it used to be so good. Will not be going back.

I used to love the Lido Café as a place to enjoy breakfast after the weekly park run, or a relaxed Sunday Brunch. I'm not sure if there have been a number of changes over the last year but on visiting last weekend the service was terrible - totally disorganised, and we received one breakfast order but not the other - after a lengthy wait. The menu has also changed and no longer offers many of the breakfast basics that you would expect. The wait staff were also not able to adapt the menu in any way to help you receive the food you wanted. While portion sizes were ok the food itself was disappointing - again - seems that there has been a fairly recent change here as the food used to be lovely.

The most delicious brunch! Lovely coffee, great food, and wonderful staff. Really relaxing vibe. Can't want to come back.

The shakshuka was quite nice when it arrived after a looooooooooooong wait. Unless desperate I would not visit this place again as there’s plenty to choose from in the area.

This place is a shambles. Waited 45 mins in a half empty cafe for a simple food order which, when it arrived, was cold as was the coffee which accompanied it. The sulky waitress who served me couldn't care less when it was brought to her attention and was clearly more interested in getting back to her mobile phone. After finishing my food, I nipped to the loo. It stank and was in dire need of a good scrub. As if this wasn't bad enough, people at an adjoining table had their badly behaved dog with them (are dogs even allowed in a food premises?). In a moment of over excitement said dog deposited a poo on the floor. Only when the owner realised that other patrons were staring at them in disbelief did they cover the poo in serviettes before returning to their chit chat!! They didn't even clean it up - unbelievable! The staff did nothing. Gross! I'll never set foot in this dirty place again.

We (three of us) visited the Lido cafe on a Saturday for brunch, luckily I had booked as when we arrived it was mayhem with a long queue and frazzled looking waiters/waitresses! We were sat quickly, eventually our menus came and we were able to order. The food came out and it was OK, I had the celeriac rosti dish which was nice enough but nothing special. My friend ordered scrambled eggs and asked for an additional side of chorizo but when it arrived it was a tiny amount and not worth the extra £2.30 she paid for it! The atmosphere was a bit of a letdown, everyone was rushing around and there didn't seem to be a service system, we noticed that other customers had to get up twice (!) and ask to order their drinks and food... I would describe the experience as 'fine' but I probably won't return, there are far nicer brunch places around.

The shakshuka is an absolute must!! Really good food and a very soothing atmosphere, given you can see the lido next to it. Highly recommended.

Extremely poor service - I was appalled to have queued for 15 minutes to be told by one of the staff that a table would be ready soon, shortly followed by another very rude staff member that had no clue of our previous conversation only to tell us that there would be no spaces available. At 8.5 months pregnant they didn't even offer my wife a seat, even though there were seats and dirty tables all over the place - and it's not even a big café! After finally being seated at a table, and after waiting another 10 minutes, we had to get our own menus. When I asked if I could order, the waitress rudely replied that there were others that had arrived before us and that I should be patient. After over half an hour, I think I had been extremely patient! Not only that, a few minutes later she then proceeded to serve the person next to us (who arrived after us!). Short staffing is one excuse, poor customer service and general intelligence is another. Finally, 45 minutes afterwards when we were able to order, I was told the dish I wanted would take at least 25 minutes to prepare! Talk about a stressful and time consuming weekend brunch! Not worth the wait or the hassle at all; an absolute embarrassment.

Lush place for a relaxed brunch in Brockwell park! Staff were attentive and refreshingly casual and the ambience was chilled and hygge with sun streaming through the windows. I devoured the delicious Seitan's Breakfast and was really impressed with the thoughtful vegan and veggie menu. I'll definitely be coming back!

I don’t usually review on google but I regularly visit the lido cafe and feel very disappointed by the reviews I have read. I have never had an issue with the staff, I find them very pleasant and attentive. When I have been for an early morning swim they even let me in before the cafe had officially opened and let me grab a discount coffee which was very kind. I recently visited and had the shakshuka, it was delicious. I noticed there is also great options for vegans on the menu. As a manager of a cafe myself I know the struggles of making a profitable business through coffee so think it is a shame when people feel the need to leave such bitter reviews.

Absolutely amazing vegan full english breakfast with great service and fantastic view of the water! Really good coffee as well, highly recommended.

The new menu is just delicious! I went to the Brockwell Lido Café for breakfast last weekend with some friends to try the new vegetarian menu. Everyone enjoy it! I had the Shakshuka and it was very tasty. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and the dishes are really flavoursome... I would recommend coming here!

What seems to have happened is that there has been a complete turnover of staff and the atmosphere for swimmers who use it every day has completely changed. The swimmers’ table been pushed to the back of the cafe, which gives us less room and we can’t chat and get to know the staff like we used to be able to. Alongside which the service, sometimes a bit erratic when busy has taken a massive nosedive. Coffee takes an age to come, even when the cafe is empty, and is not quite as good as it used to be. If this wasn’t next to the lido, I can’t see why anyone would use it. Please can we have our friendly, fairly efficient cafe back!

Incredibly rude staff. Waited over an hour for a coffee. They forgot to process the food order. Waited 2 hours for food only to have to send it back... deep fried bacon?! What happened to using a grill or pan? Disgusting! Such a shame it used to be lovely.

Absolute shambles. There was one waitress doing all the work and sorting out the issues with the kitchen but the rest I would fire on the spot. Their attitude stank which made a sour atmosphere. I don't understand what has happened to this place. It used to be a lovely lunch spot. The food was very average. I won't be returning.

I have live din Brixton/Herne Hill for 12 years. I love the swimming pool there; such a great place to enjoy either a nice breakfast or lunch BUT every time i went there, there was always something or more than one thing wrong: either they dont have what you want available (e.g. breakfast tea at 10am ?!? or you want a burger, and they dont have beef?!?!), either they serve you very late (after a long wait) or even they serve you 30min later and plus they forgot one part of the order !?!?! Such a bad service! what a pity especially knowing the great location!

Very disappointing. It took us 4 different waitresses over 1 hour.15 minutes to actually order and get our food one of which was more intrested in conversing with her boyfriend and friends than serving customers. It also took asking the last waitress twice to find out when our food would eventually arrive. We did get a 20% discoun

Came here for brunch with two friends one Sunday morning having booked in advance. Nice to be sitting by the pool and watch the swimmers go by. Menu wasn’t as extensive as it could have been: didn’t have full English or eggs Benedict on it, for example. Flat white and orange juice were nice but when the poached eggs came they were extremely over cooked. I appreciate they were busy but it took them ages to get us the bill which was a bit annoying as I had a train to catch. For £15 for breakfast I’d expect better service and quality of food.

This cafe is located at the Lido and when we visited it was very quiet off the peak hours time. Staff greeted us with smile and let us choose table inside the cafe which was in the full sun. I have ordered from the special menu and had Butternut Squash and Harrisa soup and Burattina with special beetroot as my main.

I visited after two years. You can see the chef and staff as changed. The staff was very cordial and attentive, indicated me all the vegetarian options. The food was really tasty and fresh. Very happy and much better than before.

My wife and I had our first date here, and it has therefore become a staple venue in our relationship. We have spent valentines, anniversaries and even our wedding day here. Quaint, cosy, intimate atmosphere and fantastic food. Would recommend for brunch (post-dip) or in the evening when they have an event on. Thanks Lido Cafe!

My wife and I used to be regular visitors to this place. Whilst a little on the expensive side, there was always a good selection of food and the staff were always helpful. It is very different now however...

This is a such a Lovely place. Very relaxed and the food was delicious. I look forward to coming here again. The atmosphere was relaxed.

The peaceful view of the lido is lovely. Majority of the tables were taken outside but this means a sunny spot inside was even better. Very relaxing. The food was delicious and I heard they may be changing the menu which I look forward to going back to try. I visited a few years back and wasn’t impressed. This visit has changed my views about this place. Relaxed and delicious.

I got married here, the weather, location and food were excellent but sadly I had to deal with an events team that were so disorganised.

This is a lovely little find. The Lido Cafe adjoins the Herne Hill Lido but you do not need to use the lido to access it. The brunch menu is outstanding - excellent variety of unusual dishes which each taste fantastic. I have been a number of times and have never been disappointed. Service can be quite slow, but that can be forgiven.

I really enjoyed my recent breakfast here. It’s a lovely setting with the lido and the swimmers. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros which were nice, and my girlfriend got the French toast which was really exceptional. Coffees were very nice as well. Service was good.

This cafe is in a prime location and the coffee is very good. However the service is terrible.

What’s happened here? Bored disinterested staff this year. My daughter and a friend went to place an order and were told they had to be fully dressed. Both were dry and in towelling ponchos with shoes on. A frend who was fully dressed went in immediately only to be told the kitchen had closed mean spirited and not a nice way to treat children. No wonder there are so many poor reviews

A bit small, but comfortable. Unfortunately we couldn't eat outside so had to eat in. Food OK and service as well.

We ordered the granola bowl was very disappointing with very minimal yogurt. I was also told the yogurt was vegan which it was not. The most disappointing part was the drinks, the smoothies were warm and very unpleasant. The berry smoothie tastes purely of cinnamon. We complained about this and 10% was taken off our bill which didn't even equate to one smoothie!! Our coffees also arrived after we had finished all our food. All in all a VERY disappointing experience, we will not be returning.

We had a very tasty lunch here today. It was midweek, so not too busy. Food was very nice and service was polite if a little slow, but we weren't in a rush. Would definitely come back - we had the huevos rancheros and the banana bread and everything was delicious.

You know when you go somewhere and sit down and the waitress gives you a menu and you immediately start wishing you hadn't gone there? But somehow you stay and you still keep thinking "what the F... why am I sitting here?" That was how I felt. Nice ambience sitting outside on the terrace in the sun with the dog watching the swimmers. The service is slow and kind of spaced out, they seem a bit in a dream. There's nothing under £6 and so I opted for egg on toast and a latte. Bread was burned, hard and cold, eggs were - well they were eggs, nothing special. Latte was ok. It was £11. E L E V E N P O U N D S!!!!! The waitress had asked me if I'd wanted to add some avocado but that was an extra £3.50 which seemed a little extreme. I think this is a place to go if you have babies and money and your husbands wage coming in. It's not so much a place for a single parent watching the £ after a little treat because you just feel a bit of a fool for spending that money for such poorly prepared food.

Laughably bad avocado on toast. Only half a portion! One piece of cold hard toast without any topping and one toast had a meagre smear of avocado, some chillis and it was swimming in an enormous amount of coriander which was not mentioned on the menu. Waited 40 minutes for this joke. Two coffees very slow to arrive, food even slower, had to ask for cutlery, had to find our own water. Two stars because of location next to the pool and the staff were friendly enough but seemed untrained or understaffed or something? Really disappointing meal.

Yesterday I went to eat at 2:30pm & the kitchen was closed. Today Saturday I ordered a latte & they could not heat milk, they had only americanos. & there are not meals as they are preparing for a weeding, they said. What a joke of restaurant! & it’s not like you have options as it’s the only one at the pool

Good food. Bad service / decor / effort ! This place has so much potential and the food is good. Staff are actually fairly friendly but just badly trained, slow and unaware of what's going on around them - who's waiting etc and which of their colleagues has served who. Drinks take forever to arrive and usually after food. You normally wait at the entrance for a few minutes whilst the staff are unaware. You have to get your own tap water from a trolly for some reason - very very odd, it's not like theyre understaffed. Decor inside doesn't need much to make it really but they've juts left it looking bland and dirty with ugly furnishing. Outside is nicer but things like tacky Christmas lights have been left up which don't help the vibe. Why is it not open later in the evening for dinner? and why is the pool side cafe not open more often during the day? Such a small amount of effort and training could make this place lovely. Someone just needs to take a step back, identify the shortcomings and sort them out! They probably have a safe contract so aren't inclined to out the (minimal) effort in. Such a shame.

Esperamos más de quince minutos sentado a pesar de no estar completo el café y unos 11 miembros del personal (no estaban cortos de personal). Luego nos quedamos completamente ignorado mientras el camarero tomó la gente detrás de nosotros en la cola. Pedimos que nos cambiaran a la zona exterior cuando se convirtió en una mesa disponible, otros dos veces estábamos sentados afuera antes nos trasladamos. Las edades esperamos por el menú, finalmente se trasladó fuera. Después de otros 20 minutos llegamos a nuestro cafés helados ni leche, así que teníamos otro drama de intentar atraer la atención para conseguir algo de leche. Great for brunch if you can get a table. Reserve online in advance when possible as they never answer the phone and don’t take reservations on the day. Only other meal I’ve had here was a horrible (over cooked chips, burnt meat, and pretty bland). Given their brunch is quite good, sticking with four stars until brave enough to try something else again. Friends and family love the carrot cake.

Was a bit worried when I saw the other reviews about slow service etc but we were served quickly, food came within about 10 mins. Everything was delicious, especially the cornbread. Nice chilled brunch looking out across the pool.

Unfriendly & sevice very slow so that even the tea & coffee were cold when they eventually arrived. Plus there was a time limit on the table which meant that we had very little time to eat our food once we got it!

Decent enough food and some interesting options but very slow service - a couple sitting next to us ordered their food an hour before us and ours came first after half an hour. My bap was supposed to come with spicy ketchup and I ordered chips so asked the waitress for ketchup she never came back so I went looking myself by the time I found some my chips were cold.

We’ve come to the lido cafe since it opened. We’ve been possibly the most loyal customers. The food is generally fantastic, the view is wonderful, the service is the worst you’ll ever receive and let’s down what is otherwise a winning formula.

Service leaves a lot to be desired.

Very bad service and ignored on arrival. The staff seemed clueless in general. The food, though quite tasty, is very overpriced and the waitress missunderstood my order and then charged me for her mistake. A real shame considering the venue.

. De lo que solía ser una cafetería encantadora. Recuerdo visitas ya me trasladé a Herne Hill en 2013 y amorosa que luego. Entonces de repente el servicio comenzó a deteriorarse, y ahora incluso la atmósfera ha desaparecido! I'd heard good things about the Lido Cafe so I was really looking forward to taking some visitors this weekend. We've lived in the area for 4 years and not been but read a few good reviews. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed. After ordering, we waited an incredibly long time for drinks to arrive. There seemed to be a lot of staff around but no urgency at all. If you have timed tables, I assume the staff should be looking to quickly turn around tables. Could easily have made more money out of us if staff were on the ball. Food was okay but not very warm, corn bread very nice though. Weirdly, there were lots of empty tables, as we left and a long queue but no one was sitting anyone or wiping the tables down to sit more people. Disappointed really, such a shame.

Food was good, drinks were great. But the service was awful. We waited a good 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive, it looked like our order had been put to one side as the gaggle of waiting staff seemed to not know whose drinks were whose. The food arrived and we had an abundance of forks but two knives between four. Ultimately the food was fine, service can definitely be better, especially as at times there were more staff than diners.

Have lived in the area for a couple or years and often heard good things about this place. Finally went for brunch this Sunday and was very underwhelmed. Despite having six or seven people working a very small cafe, the service was incredibly slow - probably because the staff were permanently congregating around the service area for a group chat. Once our drinks came, the bloody mary was without a doubt the worst I've ever been served. It was basically a glass of vodka with a stick of celery in it and a shot of tomato juice. The food was fine despite being served cold. Probably would have been warmer if we hadn't had to wait for knives after our group of four was given about eight forks. All in all, very disappointing.

Nothing like the photos on their websites. Why don't they just dress this place up accordingly. It looks ugly and unclean. Just put something on the floor, get some comfy chairs, make it look like you want to sit and enjoy the pool. Food was less than average.

Very nice if you happen to come at the time when they serve food as every time we turn up they have closed the kitchen!

Rushed host and poor service, a lot of people seated but end of brunch service with not many people eating or drinking. Hopefully a one off.
