Fantastic pub, people, and food! Claire and her staff were great. Emma and the Tripod were friendly, attentive and fun.The mac and cheese is a must have. Enjoyed many a laugh and cheers with some of the locals, Pete and Dan, whose humor kept us entertained for the evening.

A great friendly place always makes you welcome staff are great always ready to help all in all a great local pub run by Claire our own angel.

Was in after watching a kids football match. They put on soup &sandwiches for the teams and there was more than enough to go round. Well done them

Once we got through the proper man's pub saloon ( nothing wrong with that) and the slight unease of being unfamiliar faces with the locals, the restaurant part was pleasant, soup tasty and service friendly, we even got a cheerio. Great value.

The absolute hub of the community, never ever had a bad night here! The staff accommodate for kids, always go above and beyond for the local community, their food is glorious and multicultural thanks to their amazing chef! Home from home!

We booked for a christmas meal for 2. Food was delicious and very reasonable. Would certainly recommend.

The drinks were well priced and staff were friendly with good service. It's a decent place to hang out as things go in portie. They do food these days though vegetarian options are limited. Unfortunately me and my dad were accosted by a drunk motorhead fan at the end of the night and encouraged rudely to drink up and leave. He then took out the keys to lock up afterwards. Whether he was affiliated with the pub in some way or he picked up the keys off the floor in the bathroom I don't know, but everyone in the room was very embarrassed for him I can say for sure. Awkward experience

Now serving food, giving the pub more creedance...staff very friendly and efficient.. Thai curry was very good...they do half portions too.😋 Menu looks good.. Will return for sure...

Popped in after arriving in town to escape the rain. Two pints later, the bartender and some patrons had given my friend and I the rundown on some local sites of interests. Great place!!!!!

A bit cold in the venue, good selection of sport and friendly staff and locals.

No se cuantas veces he ido a este sitio, honestamente, la cerveza es buena y barata y el sitio es precioso, tienen también comida y allí conocí a gente majisima. A parte, los camareros son encantadores y si quieres ir realmente a un pub calido, hogareño y auténtico en Portlethen este es el sitio. A veces hacen noches musicales y te encuentras a la multitud cantando lo que es bastante chulo.

Potential but not great when visited but was changing hands at the time.

I got excited dismissing the thousandth notification for a review on my phone - updated. The staff are legends, banter from the nomads darts team is very poor especially Neil and Ron. I have a sore back from carrying them all the time. Can we have skysports and BT sports? I removed one star for this. EDIT : I have now added the fifth star - sky sports, bt sports and a proper central heating system have now been activated. Every fibre of my being thanks you. Ps: Neil and Ron are still average at darts .

Great Local, family run Pub. Good Food served at weekends & a wide range of Drinks all at a very reasonable price. Jukebox, Bandit & Pool Table along with a great atmosphere makes this the standout pub in Portlethen.

Good old fashioned local pub staff excellent. New owner making a big effort to improve the place. Pool table juke box. Food is of a high standard with massive portions

The previous comment is a disgrace. This is a community pub and proud of it. Its OK putting a negative comment on a board but the person who did it should at least explain why.
