It has a lovely warm atmosphere and a great outdoor seating area - it’s the perfect place for a catch up with friends! Jacquie was super friendly and the food was amazing. I will definitely be visiting again!!

I must say the place is beautiful and ideal for a mother with kids but the savoury menu is disappointing. Nothing typical of a cafe , only savoury food where sandwiches and a couple of tarts, no egg benedict, salmon and avocado, english breakfast (very strange as I saw other customers pictures of those meals). But the cappuccino /latte were perfect and the vegan banana cake was delicious. Overall a good place for coffee and tea but not really for a brunch/lunch.. at least on a week day ( we went on Tuesday).

A really lovely place for afternoon tea. The home made red velvet cake and carrot cake were moist and delicious with a perfect balance of sweetness. The frosting was actual cream cheese rather than the sugary confection that you get on shop cakes. Everything was delicious! The service was exemplary - making sure we were happy and enjoying our food, without being over attentive. Will definitely come again!

What a lovely celebration for my 50th Birthday! The staff were fantastic; friendly, warm, attentive and the food was of a high standard. The Lavender House itself was the perfect picture box venue. Delighted!

Delightful lunch; tasty ciabatta...and delicious macaroons for a chaser! Quick, polite service and the tea was really delicious. Perhaps a bit tight for space, but we coped and it was well worth the visit. Will be returning 😊.

Discovered out this little place today. The place is cute even if very small. The barista looked quite busy and not really in a good mood, anyway she brought my flatwhite to the table. The cakes displayed didn’t look home baked so I didn’t take any. After me a table of four arrived for an afternoon tea and being a very little place I found the atmosphere quite noisy but it was okay.

Cosy little place, very nice ladies behind the counter.I had a ham and cheese toasted sandwich which was quite huge and yummy. My wife had a cream cheese and smoke salmon bagel and a large slice of banana & pecan home made cake. We shared a pot of tea. We were very happy with the food, the service and the friendly environment !

I had my baby shower here yesterday and they didn’t disappoint. The ladies were lovely, the decor was beautiful and the afternoon tea was definitely the best I have had (which is a lot!). I would recommend for anyone to visit from grabbing a quick coffee or having afternoon/ lunch. Thank you so much for the lovely afternoon ladies, we will be back to visit soon! Had a lovely baby shower here today for my daughter, she absolutely loved it. The food! was excellent and the ladies were all very friendly and helpful ensuring we all had enough to drink and even gave us all boxes and bags to take home the leftovers from the lovely afternoon tea that we had. The atmosphere was amazing and we all had the best time. Will definitely recommend if your reading this and we will come back for other special events! Thank you ladies!

The Ladies at Lavender House Cafe were fantastic, very attentive, friendly and took an interest in our party which was really nice and made it feel that extra bit special. The food was lovely, the beautiful cakes, the glass of bubbly, all the lovely surprises was fantastic and the whole party loved it. The only thing stopping this from being a five is the fact that the place is quite small so at times we felt as though we were in the way but regardless this didn’t take away from the fantastic time with had and we appreciate that they took the time to fit us in and made a lovely effort with us and the babies also! We will definitely be back!

Lovely venue for afternoon tea, we sat in the front in a group of 9. Outside looked lovely too, beautifully decorated. Staff were awesome, extremely friendly, attentive and professional. Sandwiches were very tasty and the mini quiches were delicious. The scones were huge and tasty, I found the cakes to be a bit on the firmer side but maybe they had been in the fridge, they still tasted good and the amount of food we got for afternoon tea was substantial - we were all full!

The Lavender is the one place I can go and am always gauranteed a warm welcome, with great service from staff and always great coffee and food. I am yet to find a place that makes coffee as good as the Lavender. No matter what cake I try it is always delicous and fresh tasting. The decor and ambience of the place is like a warm hug as soon as you step through the door. The range of food is quite varied with delicous lunch specials, as well as delightful bagel and ciabatta fillings. There are also cream teas and breakfasts you can have. The cafe have used the space well, with ample number of tables inside and a lovely back garden with tables. There is also a small play area for the younger children for that much needed coffee break for parents and carers of young children. It really is a treasure trove. I am blessed to have it as my local; however, I can honestly say the warmth and friendliness that I encounter everytime I go in; was extended to me from the first day I walked in.

I have visited Lavender House many times over the last 5 years and tried all of their menu. The staff are all friendly and attentive, I have not had a bad experience with service or food. They are currently operating a reduced menu and only have the garden open. There is a small children's play area with a swing and slide. Dogs are welcome and offered water bowls. As it is Winter, there is shelter and heaters for some of the tables, however the unsheltered tables have parasols if needed. In Summer two of the tables are within the lavender bushes, which is lovely to see all of the bees busy at work, the back of the garden is a quiet haven from the busy road. As the tables operate on a first come first served basis, you may find weekdays are best to pop in on a ad hoc basis for a table. They are open from 8AM on a weekday so it's ideal to grab a coffee on a school run before work. Throughout the pandemic they were a little piece of sanctuary to take some quiet time on a day off. There is a large tea menu (Birchall tea), I tend to opt for the viranga chai tea or a (Monmouth) coffee. Occasionally there are evening events and the atmosphere is lovely. The menu is priced at what you would expect for the local area.

For past 3 years we been coming here with our little one for cake,coffe and bit of fun in the garden. Our favourite local cafe. Beautiful inside and outside. Ladies working here are amazing ♡

Good little place with a nice selection of cakes..... As of Nov 2021 only outside seating is allowed so wear a good coat... Oh and alps the kids playground Is still closed due to covid..... Not sure why this company is the only one acting over precautiosly but there reasons are there own........ They still have good cakes........... Prices arnt bad either...... Hot chocate..... Black coffee....... And a tune and cheese ciabata just over a tenner.

Had coffee and flapjack in their small garden down the side of the cafe. Very yummy. Bought a brownie for my son which he said was delicious. Wish I had had enough room to try all the cakes!

Quite disappointed! We went today to the Café and the shop is still closed, but the back side garden is open, but the play area is still closed. Long story short.. it was cold, didn't feel welcome at all and our food portion was ridiculous, I am not kidding, that's was kids portion. So we definitely don't go again there.

My Dog "Max" loves to come here. Which is probably a good thing, because I like to come here too! They do an excellent cup of coffee here - definitely a good thing for the Sundridge Parade. They also do some very good brownies if you're feeling a bit naughty.

Table right next to the toilet. With no notice warning of this. Went for a nice quiet cuppa, too expensive for the experience which was below par and staff not friendly.

Lovely staff. Lovely coffee but their toasties are a complete rip off. £4.50 for some white bread and a slice of cheese and ham! Such a shame, just spend 50p more on some nice granary bread and your toasties will change for the better

The Lavender House Cafe's delicious cakes & savoury tarts have helped me get through lockdown. Can't recommend the rose & pistachio cake enough & the portions are generous. Can't wait to visit you this week & hopefully bag a table to have a snack with my mum. See you all soon.

The Lavender House is my favourite cafe, I’ve been coming here pretty much since it’s opened! My kids have grown up playing in their garden & eating the kids lunchboxes.... ( they are now teenagers!) I often meet friends for coffee/brunch & have even had a gorgeous afternoon tea for a friends birthday! The food is fresh,tasty & healthy & the cakes & coffee delicious!Obviously during lockdown I haven’t been able to visit , but I did buy the Valentines Graze box, it was a wonderful box of treats that myself & my husband enjoyed very much- it took us 2 days to finish!I was also treated to a Mother’s Day afternoon tea box which was so full of incredible cakes I felt very spoilt (& full up!)The icing on the cake is that the cafe is dog friendly so it’s a perfect place to visit after a walk.

Within walking distance but just far enough away to deserve a cake when we get there. Always a lovely selection. They've managed Covid well.

Just bought the mother's day afternoon tea package, thought it was fantastic and recommend.

Has been a real treat during lockdown .We first bought a takeaway afternoon tea in November and recently purchased a Valentines Graze box. Everything freshly made & most importantly made with love and with great detail. Great takeaway coffee's, will come by next weekend for one of the scrumptious looking sausage rolls. Fantastic local business x

The coffee & pastries at the Lavender House cafe are delicious and the staff are so friendly. Lockdown has been more bearable with my almost daily cappuccino from them and the fresh almond croissants which sell out before 9 am.A local gem which we all love!

Lockdown saviour !!! A fair walk from my place to the Lavender House but it is well worth it for the delicious coffee, beautiful toasted banana bread, cinnamon and apple cake, sausage rolls and toasties all served by welcoming, friendly, happy staff. Despite the challenging times we are going through at the moment it’s so comforting to know we can still see familiar friendly faces and pick up fabulous coffee and cake at the same time - can’t recommend enough 😋

Lavender House Cafe is a place to seat down and relax. I love the Full Cream Tea and an extra slice of delicious cake. I go there any time someone invites me for a cup of tea or I just suggest the place to friends. Also I need to mention a Gift card ( I bought them to give as a Christmas present) and everyone liked it.

I visited this lovely place again this morning and once again it gets 5* from me. If you fancy great coffee, brilliant food and amazing happy staff who can't do enough to please, then you should pop in. Needless to say I'll be going back.

Took my parents to The Lavender House for a lovely brunch this morning. The food and coffee were excellent and the staff were brilliant too. Gorgeous food at a very reasonable price, can’t wait to go back soon. Thank you.

Visited The Lavender House this morning and purchased a cappuccino and a croissant. The cappuccino was very nice, however the croissant was extremely small and tasted like it had been cooked from frozen. At £1.95 for a small plain croissant which tasted mediocre, I found it to be very expensive, especially when you can go to other coffee shops such as an M&S cafe and purchase a delicious, large croissant for 90p. The Lavender House should seriously think about their pricing - total waste of my money and very overpriced for what it is!!

Lovely quaint little coffee shop

Two meals arrived at different times. When eggs did arrive, they were cold. High chairs put right next to table so had to move for staff to get them out. Not a nice experience, will not return.

Such a lovely cafe with amazing cakes and breakfast choices. We’re so lucky to have it so close by and would recommend to anyone. The afternoon tea is gorgeous and a great option for a special afternoon. It’s also great if you need to get a little work done and need a quiet corner.

Very nice lunch, spinach and feta cheese quiche with salad and two very nice coffees. Very good and friendly service.

Voy a Lavender House con bastante regularidad y solo tengo grandes cosas que decir.La comida aquí es tan sabrosa, rápida y siempre deliciosa. Además, los pasteles son HERMOSOS y tienen un sabor divino. El personal es muy amable y siempre te hace sentir cómodo y es un ambiente encantador y relajado. Tomamos un té de la tarde en el verano y fue una tarde tan hermosa sentada afuera a la cálida luz del sol comiendo deliciosos pasteles y tomando té.También son geniales para los niños con una gran área de juego en la parte trasera, ¡lo cual es genial incluso cuando hace más frío ya que el área de asientos está cubierta y siempre están entretenidos!¡Altamente recomendado!

Probably one of the best afternoon tea experience I’ve experienced.The cafe itself is cute and cosy. Really welcoming feel and great price.They’re kids friendly and Kids get their very own afternoon tea with jam sandwiches.Free parking outside as well.

Went here for my daughters birthday serves was bad and food was not good never go again spent 70 pounds and staff didnt even asking we was ok .. sandwiches had a very strong smell dont recommend this place never again.

We fancied som tea and cake after visiting our GP with my daughter who has autism and severe learning disabilities. We decided to visit the lavender house as we knew that they serve a good pot of tea. My daughter is a wheel chair user and doesn’t feel comfortable in small areas. We went to the back garden as it was a mild autumn evening Clare turned on the heaters and we had our tea and cake under the shelter and in the fairy lights and heaters. Very cosy. The carrot cake was delicious and my daughter wolfed down the lemon and blueberyy then half of my carrot cake! We squeezed 6 cups of tea out of the pot and could have chosen from numerous flavours. We purchased some Christmas macarons as a present.The service was attentive and friendly and Clare wanted to make my daughter as comfortable as possible. Would thoroughly recommend this cafe for anyone with disabilities There is a large gate at the back where you can access with a wheelchair.

My friend and I took our little girls for afternoon tea today. The food was incredible, the service was great and it was all round amazing. We will definitely be returning!We have visited this cafe with friends for a quick breakfast and with family for a birthday afternoon tea (added a photo of the kids one) and loved it every time - excellent service, great for gluten free and so tasty!
