Great cafe with an interesting menu and great vegan/vegetarian breakfast options. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Great food and coffee. 5 stars for that but the service can be a little inconsistent. It's a tiny space but popular so they reserve tables for people...which is fine for a restaurant but just doesn't work for a small café. If you haven't booked staff can make you feel very pressured and in the way which ruins the experience. 1 star for that...hence 3 star overall rating. Great place but not during peak times. Needs to ditch the reservations option.

I didn't have food - just a takeaway dark hot chocolate and it was PERFECT. I love good quality hot chocolate (not your standard sugary Cadbury's cocoa). Go there just for a hot chocolate!

The wife and I visit here often... it's definitely becoming a habit. The food is amazing, and the coffee is smooth and moreish. The staff are welcoming, but be aware that there is limited seating, so you may need to reserve!

Cracking cake stop on a Sunday morning ride! Friendly staff and quick service! Nutella Oat slice was divine and the oat flat white also! 10/10 would recommend!

What a find! They squeezed us in for breakfast/brunch. The Breakfast Naan was delicious and the pancakes looked amazing too. My kids had poached eggs & bacon sandwiches. Definitely recommend

Delicious food, with a great menu. I like the freshness & lovely smoothies. The only thing I don’t like is when they clean the tables.. the spray lingering in the air and isn’t nice when you’re eating.. would be better if they sprayed the cloth instead. Otherwise it’s lovely!

Very cute coffee shop with excellent coffee selection and food. We enjoyed a simple breakfast and especially loved the sourdough bread they used. The service was great and food fresh. Wouldn’t hesitate to go make The Larder a regular stop.

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had.

This place is REALLY popular with people who enjoy having their dogs accompany them to the cafe. If you're not a fan of dogs I wouldn't recommend, which is a shame as the food is bloody delicious and the service always super friendly. As someone who isn't comfortable with dogs, it's not great. The last three times I've gone there have been too many dogs in such a small place. This morning there were five dogs, I got jumped on by at least two, they got agitated at each other and regular barking, and I couldn't get out as every aisle had a dog laying in it. If you love dogs this is probably paradise. This was similar to my other experiences, although usually fewer dogs. So this review is for those of us who find dogs overwhelming, as fair warning of what to expect.

Fantastic little place, we walked in just before the kitchen closed and they were still able to accommodate us. The hot pork bun and hunter's chicken toastie went down an absolute treat.

After the place wad advertised as Dog friendly with the saying of More the merrier, thought we would give it a try. Unfortunately 5 dogs carnt be accommodated because other customers don't like dogs (knowing its a dog friendly cafe maby a different one would have been better option) was told was no space at the table of 2 available, knowing my dogs I knew they would lay happily in the corner as they go to many cafe with no issues but staff/owner thought knew them better then I do and said they wouldn't lay there. Needless to say we left without any drink or food, and having many "dog" friends in the area it would have been a regular place if we had been made to feel welcome with dogs which are bigger then a small fluffy lap dog!

One of the very best places for a standout coffee and food too. No matter what coffee it’s been they haven’t missed a beat, their dirty chai is definitely not to be missed. All baked huts in the counter are fabulous especially the cookies and their sit down food much the same! Can’t think of a single fault !

A hidden gem! Only discovered The Larder through online reviews. Had a delicious breakfast. Lovely warm chatty atmosphere, great menu to suit all tastes including vegetarian and vegan.

Visited on two occasions to get a breakfast whilst staying nearby. I ordered takeaway online and collected the food at the time stated. Everything was ready on time, lovely friendly staff and delicious food on both occasions. I would definitely go here again next time I'm in Oakham.

I walked around to the larder today from the vaccination centre which I run, met poppy the lab and the welcome was wonderful. What an awesome breakfast definitely be there again I had scrambled egg n bacon on sourdough and my colleague had the halloummi. Extremely scrumpy be back soon xxxx

The Larder has managed to maintain its friendly and welcoming atmosphere whilst putting in great measures to keep us safe and confident to eat out after lockdown. The food is delicious and coffee is done to perfection. The vegan chocolate cake is a firm favourite as are their smokey beans at the weekend. All the staff go above and beyond to cater for any dietary requirements and really care about you enjoying your visit. I really can't recommend this place enough.

visted here today and well worth a visit. Never have i had a chilli sausage roll. Where have I been,they are delicious. Very friendly staff. Spotless clean. Opened back up during covid,providing for the community. Drop in you will not be disappointed.
