Had a lovely lunch today in Raasay from this wee hidden gem. Lovely piping hot soup, toasties, ice cream, coffee and cakes.

On beautiful remote Raasay we discovered the fantastic Larch Box. Iona serves delicious homemade cakes, sandwiches and soups together with excellent coffee, milkshakes and hot chocolate with toasted marshmallows. Outstanding friendly service and homemade fare, just perfect alongside the beautiful flowers from the local walled garden and stunning views across to Skye. We loved it.

Friendly service, the tastiest baguette I have ever had and delicious ice cream :) The menu has an excellent selection of toasties, baguettes, soup and some lovely cakes. Definitely worth stopping by if visiting Raasay and only a short walk from the ferry.

Stumbled upon this little "shack" (the word does it a disservice) after having just disembarked from the ferry on foot. It serves amazing coffee and without question, the best, silkiest chocolate brownie. It also serves a variety of snacks, inclucing GF options. Sat at one of the tables nearby and watched as a film crew started to set up their equipment, and as othee foot passengers walked by. Such a great start to a memorable first visit to Raasay!

The Larch Box provides freshly made soup, snacks and hot drinks for lunches, at reasonable prices. In a converted shipping container, it is on the high ground near Raasay House and the Distillery, within walking distance of the Ferry terminal and with excellent views over to the Isle of Skye.

Toasties really are as good as previous review suggested. Husband suggested it was one of the best he had ever had! Milkshakes were also a hit as was the beautiful selection of cakes. All served up in a beautiful outdoor setting.

We so enjoyed visiting the Isle of Raasay! I am excited for the sweet little businesses drawing visitors from Skye, including this fun and friendly little take away food and coffee shop. We had toasties, tea, and ice cream and everything was yummy. The sun was out so we sat at one of the two picnic tables. Give it a try!

My husband and I came here twice: once for coffee and the second for lunch. This is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat. The owner is so sweet and she explained a lot to us about the island. We would definitely come here again. This is a must if you are coming to the island. Check out the Facebook page for opening and closing times!

We bought some bagels to take on our walk up Dun Caan and both were fabulous. One of the best smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels I have ever had! The flourless brownies gave us enough of a lift to complete a very arduous, but totally worth it, walk.

Skye could learn a lot from this wonderful small business on Raasay. The bagels and rolls are excellent with imaginative and tasty fillings and very reasonably priced. The coffee again is excellent and well priced. Good luck to a deserving enterprise.

On the day of my visit the Larch Box was very popular, so much so I had to turn my back on a second coffee for fear of missing the return ferry. Enterprising proprietor who understands the meaning of customer service. She deserves success.

Excellent coffee and toasties served in glorious surroundings, next door to Raasay Distillery and just up the road from The Silver Grasshopper (great gift shop). Take away with picnic tables.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.

Visited Annie’s bakery whilst visiting up visiting family in Thurso. Amazing value for money alongside fabulous savouries and sweets. So much time and effort put into each. Transported plenty of goodies home to North Yorkshire, we will be back!! ☺️

Food was nice and service was, for the most part, friendly. One server seemed to be having a bad day. Brusque and barely civil. Very expensive for what was served.

We had some really delicious cake and tea. I would definitely recommend the banana chocolate cake and the apple caramel cake. The service was really nice and I would definitely stop there again.

We stayed at Taigh Ailean for our trip to Skye. We also had the opportunity to eat dinner there (Breakfast was included with our stay.) The dinner was so delicious! The view is lovely as you can see the loch from the windows of the bar. All the staff is fantastic and so friendly! I had a great dinner and I would describe it, but the menu changes to suit what is in season and available from the sea. Whatever you get, I guarantee it will be the best! Make sure you call ahead and get a reservation as it fills up quickly. I know that they also have live music, which would be great, but we didn't have any while we were there.
