We have never used this place before the food was great and lovely and hot and it arrived early we will definitely be ordering from here again

Probably one of the worst curries I have had. Food very bland, very tasteless. The cheese naans.... didn't detect any cheese. The poppadums seemed stale. Will not be ordering from here again.

Great food, it is piping hot when it arrived Totally on time and absolutely delicious...Will 100% order from here again. Portion sizes very generous, they actually beat us ! We had chicken pasanda and vegetable vindaloo, the chicken was flavoursome and the vindaloo really pulled a nice punch of heat ! Best Indian in Colchester

Nice flavour but a shame they use frozen mixed veg in curry with bryani & not alot of chicken in it either but tasted good.

Food is always great every time we order

Had a "meat" balti. It was very good, savoury as it should be. The saag bahji was good too. My mother had the chicken dansak and seemed fine with it. I find them too sweet myself. It was odd to have to choose "meat", not beef or lamb for the balti! Had to rate restaurant service as didn't have experience of that so it's weird to be asked in just-eat.

Excellent food. Lamb tikka bhuna and madras were packed full of meat and a very tasty sauce. Rice was light and fluffy and spot on. Only thing that let them down was the onion bhajis were a bit over cooked and couldn’t really eat them as they were so crunchy and crispy. Otherwise I can’t fault Kismet. Definitely my new go to Curry house!

second time using this takeaway, which was recommended to us. The first order was on time and the food was really tasty, however the second order was not so good. One item was missing and two other items were cold when delivered. sadly this will be are last order from here

Fantastic fresh takeaway ! The whole of it tasted freshly cooked & with good ingredients The sag aloo had nice big potatoes, the Bhuna tasted great & the mushroom rice had nice well cooked mushrooms & the Peshawari naan was great ! The only fault was that I ordered chicken tikka but only got plain chicken 🙁 otherwise a great curry & would definitely order again

WOW. Hands down the best Indian in Colchester. My saag was delicious, my partner's Korai was thick and tasty and the onion bhajis were a perfect mix between fried and fresh. Will absolutely eat here again

My prawn butter masala was so over spiced, and the king prawns were shrivelled up like balls of rubber. Will not order from here again, especially with how much it cost! Very unhappy customer.

Really disappointed, this is my go to restaurant for Indian in Colchester. Food always great and even near by which is why it was extremely disappointing to have our order arrive stone cold!

I ordered Butter chicken but taste was not authentic

Doh! Stupid me forgot to order my sons main course. So he shared mine, there was plenty for both of us. As always Kismet staff were all on the ball. Delivery was super quick. The main course was piping hot. Next time I will order the other courses. Just hate sharing. Lol x

Great food for a Friday night takeaway King prawn purée along with meat samosa for starters , chicken bhuna & rice for main , lovely . Complementary onion salad along with popadom didn’t go unnoticed eiether, props to the restaurant for the freebie

I have to say that last nights Indian from Kismet was the best I’ve ever had. Food, timings all excellent. I had three requests on my order ....extra mango....extra heat in the curry....and extra coconut in the nan bread. All requests were filled. Will certainly be back.

Best Indian in the area. The staff are very helpful and the food is unbelievable. Keema naan was perfectly cooked and with a good filling. Onion Bhajis are a good size and perfectly cooked and their curry's (particularly the madras or ceylon) are spot on. If like me, you like prawn, then I reccomend their prawn dishes!

Gave these guys the benefit of the doubt by giving them time to refund me for a delivery that never came but they even failed to do that. They tried to deliver my order at midnight 4 hours after ordering to which I asked for a refund, They confirmed they would do this for me. After waiting a week for the refund and the restaurant ignoring me I contacted Just Eat who said the refund hadn’t been processed and Kismet recorded the delivery as successful. Had to raise directly with Just Eat who investigated and got my money back... avoid Kismet, Thank you Just Eat 👍

Good was over 90 minutes late. I tried to contact the restaurant nearly a hundred times. No reply, not once. Apology on delivery only when prompted. Shouldn't have accepted my order as it couldn't be completed in anything approaching reasonable time. Derisory £3 credit to my account. Probably won't use just eat again either.

Food ordered at 8pm, said arrival would be 9.50pm, time came and went and still no food. Tried calling but had taken phone lines off the hook. Complained through Just Eat, had a text at 10.20 to say sorry for delay and would be with us at 10.35. Time came and went and still no food! Then 12.30am on 1st Jan, a knock at the door with our food!!!! Food was cold and burnt. 4 and a half hours later! Unacceptable and will not be returning.

Food never turned up, restaurant took phone off hook...over 3 hours and still no food nothing. Company's like this need to be shut down and removed from just eat. Please avoid them at all costs!! Disgusting

The food was nearly two hours late, the restaurant refused to answer their phone, when it eventually arrived, half the order was missing. What food we got was tasty, but the customer service was unacceptable.

I can't say what time it was delivered because it never was. It wasn't cancelled, I received no phone call, no message on the app. It just wasn't delivered. I've checked outside to see if it was left, but there's not sign. I've tried calling for the last half an hour but cannot get through. The app states it was delivered, but it wasn't. Quite frankly this is a complete con and disgusting.

The best Indian in colchester i have tried. Always order from here now ever since buying from this restaurant a year ago almost. The perfect taste for an Indian meal. Praise to the chefs and staff.

Really tasty food, cooked very well with generous portions.

Food distinctly average. Puri was very thick and prawns inside were lacking in taste. The mixed kebab was ok with the exception of the lamb pieces which were very tough and the naan bread was good. However the saag paneer was awful. The cheese and spinach had been blended into a thick slop that looked like lumpy white and green porridge.
