Lovely staff who appear to really enjoy their jobs. Great ‘local’ vibe. Whitebait was good , ditto the burger but the meal was let down badly by undercooked anaemic chips ( none of our group could eat them and we heard the table next to us comment on the chips being inedible)

A friend and I visited this pub 2 nights running. All Covid rules adhered to and the staff and land lord lovely. This pup clearly has a local following.The food was fabulous and potion sizes on the large size, you won't go hungry here. We would certainly recommend it

A lovely pub restaurant which ensures covid guidance, set in a small town with easy access from the main road and good parking. Ideal for lunches and dinner alike eating inside in the cosy bar restaurant area or out in the heated outdoor area with a generous sized pub garden with a marquee to keep you dry if weather changes. The menu is small with carefully selected choices of starters, mains, and desserts a little something of everything for everyone really. The food portions are of a generous size and you will certainly leave there with the feeling of having been well fed . We thoroughly enjoyed our meal there and they even found a meal for my daughter which wasn't even on the menu as she wasn't keen on the main choices available that evening. The staff were lovely and polite and always helpful and we will certainly be returning there soon

Avoid if you have standards. We visited the kings arms for drinks with friends. The landlord is extremely rude and homophobic and was very abusive to a member of our group and asked him to leave. The bar staff did apologise for this and were lovely.

We really enjoyed our evening at the Kings Arms. We were staying at a hotel just up the road and were looking for somewhere for dinner. Booking had been efficient and very friendly. The pub is clean and cosy and is very nicely decorated inside. There is a good choice of meals on the menu and the food is well priced. Our meals were delicious and all the food we saw being served looked extremely nice. The staff are both attentive and friendly. There were clearly a lot of regular customers returning for their first post lockdown meal with discussions of returning the following week which says it all really. Wish this was our local - we would visit regularly !

Have had a lovely meal at the kings arms, a nice friendly little pub. Our evening entertainment was sorted by the ginger, bearded barman running up and down the car park serving drinks, he seems so dedicated to the job! A proper pub with a warm atmosphere, even out side! Enjoyed every minute. Fantastic serves by everyone. I do however hope the blonde waitress is okay, she head-butted a tree for some reason. The food was incredible, we had the lasagna and a Hunter chicken, they were fantastic. Both amazing! Lovely and hot! The Chef was AMAZING! With our difficult orders

Had the slow cooked beef rib 10 out of 10 Absolutely banging. So was the sticky toffee pudding with proper thick custard. Great polite service. Will be back.

Came to this place last night and was charged £3.00 for a pint of Soda & lime, next day asked for exactly the same thing and was then charged 40p when I complained about the cost the night before they then charged me £1.50 hilarious customer service

Really good quality food. Unquestionably a pub, but restaurant quality food at good prices. Would definitely go back if I was in the area.

we came here for a dinner and i ended up getting the best pizza in town. in fact i almost couldnt finish it. they allow dogs in the pub and its a great place to meet up with friends and family.

Very nice meal, food was excellent and the staff were very good . We had 4 Sunday lunches 3 turkey and 1 beef the Yorkshire puds were amazing, cauliflower cheese was one of the best but it was all good. Cheesecake OMG 😋😋.

Visited with family as we were celebrating a birthday. 5 for lunch, friendly and helpful waitresses. Prompt service and food had thumbs up all round. The pub was well organised and set up well to deal with social distancing. Well done guys will definately be back.

Slowly pubs are reopening with pre-booking, payment by card and social distancing etc. The first week in August proved impossible to book but last Wednesday two friends and I had a great meal reasonably priced well cooked and presented and served with care by friendly waitresses. A pint of Stella Artois my first since March -Bliss. Starters of whitebait so fresh and beautifully cooked. Different great mains all got the thumbs up;- Lasagne and a crispy green salad, Cod chips and peas, hunter`s Chicken with chunky chips, salad and coleslaw really good. Well done the KINGS ARMS -Emsworth Welcome back.

We turned up and ordered our drinks and a steak each. At the bar when we ordered we asked what sauces we could have, we were offered peppercorn. We then ordered our steak with two peppercorn sauces. 45 minutes later our food arrived without any sauce, we were told because we didn’t order it and because they don’t sell peppercorn sauce we can’t have it and that’s it! It was strange that this was said as we came for dinner 4 weeks prior and had peppercorn sauce on our steak? The staff mentioned that the bloke that served us was new but he has served us prior to this! The steak was over done and extremely dry and not even hot, our wine was warm and the chips were tough. For £20 per steak this is not great! It’s disappointing as we do love it here and the food is normally really nice. I understand we turned up at a busy time and it is hard to get business back to normal. But this isn’t acceptable for the price we paid and the complaint was not dealt with correctly moving forward.

Booked for Sunday lunch and was told only second sitting available at 2:30pm which was fine.We decided to walk the mile from our holiday cottage so we both could enjoy a drink with our lunch.When we arrived it was obvious the three girls behind the bar were extremely busy.We were shown to our table and shortly after we were given menus and our drinks order taken.Twenty minutes later one of the girls came to take our food order and apologised as they had no more roast lunches left! We then had to choose something different.For me Sunday lunch is all about roast meat, Yorkshire pudding etc not a lasagne, fish and chips or a beef burger.The waiting staff were very friendly but the experience was poor.

Such a wonderful experience coming out of lockdown. I felt completely safe in their hands. Good selection of drinks, friendly staff and my god the food is great. Personally I had the pizza (again!), so damn good, what is this magic? They said I can have a takeaway pizza for tomorrow’s breakfast haha. They even did a small meal for my 11mo, fantastic service as a whole!

Visited this weekend having heard rumours of a new pizza menu. The pizza was faultless, pepperoni, decent amount of toppings etc.My visit was slightly marred by a load of boomers at the next table discussing how they would word their false review "to teach these uppity lefties a lesson about freedom" after the pub insisted they adhere to social distancing rules.But that's not the pubs fault, so although I've not seen a review from them yet, if you see anything from a middle-aged Karen about prawns just ignore it!

My wife and I encouraged 5 other local friends to visit and enjoy the massive garden and a wood fired pizza in the sunshine.We were both left embarrassed. On the face of it the pizzas smelt good but were sparsely topped. (We were left feeling that we would have been better off going to the Co Op and buying a pizza to bake at home). Two of our friends ordered garlic prawns. For the price I would have expected something more than 4 x prawns, a big slab of butter and some lettuce.Such a shame as it became a talking point fir the rest of the day.

Having enjoyed sunday lunch in the past we visited the pub today having heard about the new outdoor pizza oven.I had what was supposed to be garlic/chilli King prawns £7.994 prawns no better than something from Iceland thrown in a bowl with a sad looking bit of lettuce with no flavour whatsoever.As for the pizzas they smelt lovely but toppings were so thin they became almost transparentSpoilt a lovely afternoon

The pub has a new outdoor seating area with a pizza oven, as well as the existing huge gardens. We had a pepperoni pizza and a goats cheese which was loaded with toppings, olives, pesto, plenty of cheese. Freshly cooked, crispy base, it was one of the best pizzas i've ever eaten. We will be back very soon!

Sunday lunch. We visited for lunch the government guidelines were totally adhered too. We were greeted by the lovely owner Gavin and his amazing friendly hard working staff. The food was fantastic!! Thank you to all the team we will be back 👏🏻

Lovely pub, lovely food, lovely staff. A very, very good local pub. If I have to be picky about anything, it would be the roast potatoes which were slightly strange. Looking forward to another visit.

I and 4 friends had a steak supper there. Delicious food. Efficient service with friendlystaff. Both red and white wine were very goodWill certainly go again on a Tuesday for their steak night. The pub had slipped into mediocrity a few years ago and we stopped going.However a couple of recent visits showed that they have improved significantly.There's now a good menu and the food is well cooked, the portions are fairly generous.Overall the food and drinks offer good value for money. It's not high end but good honest pub food.

Regular eater and drinker and never disappointed with a great variety of beers, wines, dishes and very friendly and accommodating staff and happy customers - would highly recommend

Came across this place by chance when out for a walk. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. We order a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which was delicious. It was Chilean so you may want to specify if you prefer another sort. We both has the fish and chips. Piping hot, lovely light batter and chunky chips. Just what we wanted we were very hungry! Reasonable prices and ample parking. Would like to back in warmer weather to check out the garden.

We were all meeting for a family "Get Together" 9 of us ranging from a baby to OAP's. We booked a table in advance and everything was set up and ready for us when we arrived.They have a very good selection of draught ales, larger and cider including a very well kept pint of London Pride!We were shown the menu and everything was available which was impressive as this was the 27th Dec!We all made our choices and they were very accommodating when someone wanted a variation on the menu.All the food arrived together and without delay and was nicely presented and had very generous proportions!The staff were very attentive and looked after us very well.I would recommend this pub without reservation. Finally there is a decent sized car park.

Enjoyed a lovely 3 course Christmas meal, food was delicious and well presented, served by a polite young girl and a charming man. Restaurant had a lovely atmosphere with a good Christmas vibe but tastefully done.

Visited this lovely and quaint pub off a recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed, food was tasty and appealing with a good choice of 3 different meats (so spoilt for choice beef,lamb or turkey ☺️) greeted on arrival by a friendly team.Food and drinks arrived promptly and nothing was too much trouble. We had nearly full tummies but we're persuaded to try some of the lovely desserts. We will be returning again soon.

Being one of my favourite places to eat, I thought I’d give their new pizzas a try. Oh my gosh, they’re fresh and delicious. How can a pizza taste healthy?!It’s made there on site, in a big pizza oven and it doesn’t take long at all. Definitely recommend. Service with a smile, and I’m eating with a smile.

Came across this place to be pleasantly satisfied. Staff very friendly and wine selection good. Decided to have dinner, which I have to use was delicious. They didn't have what we originally selected off menu, but what we did end up having was good.

The King’s Arms is a great traditional pub with a good choice of well proportioned food. Service is quick and the quality meals cooked to order. Good choice of menu and a traditional pizza oven being commissioned. Staff friendly and the owner very welcoming. Large beer garden and parking.

Wow, decided on the Kings Arms for an anniversary lunch. The food was bloody lovely! High end restaurant quality in a pub in my opinion. The staff are friendly and efficient. We had three courses each, portion size was good and represented great value for money. Good quality kids menu. Great choice!

Staff very friendly and efficient. Portion size of meals good and represents good value for money. Clean and comfortable environment and would go there again. One minor hopefully seen as constructive criticism/observation which I did mention on leaving is the Knives used with the place settings are not sharp enough to cut meat meaning you have to hack repeatedly to get a bit off. They are better suited for spreading butter and jam so new SHARP knives are most definitely needed. In fact dinners at an adjacent table make the same observation.

Decent enough roast. Fish and chips weren’t great. Good portions. Staff were friendly. All in all an average experience.

We popped in hear for an evening meal, because it was near to where we were staying. However, despite being very clearly not local, we were treated as locals by the very friendly staff. So chatty and lovely. The food was excellent with a very good choice. Well done to all at the pub.

Hi we came to dinner in July. Good food just a really poor choice for vegetarians. The choice of starters were Brie or olives and bread. The soup had a v next to it on the menu however it turned out to be ham and lentils! There was only 1 item for the main course none of the specials were vegetarian. The food I had was very nice freshly cooked and plentiful but please some more choice. Staff were very pleasant and efficient.

Blinding little pub. Great food and so welcoming. The locals all make you feel welcome and the bar staff and the landlord are brilliant. Beer is cheap and great garden also. Can't recommend enough

Started with pate, the portion was generous, we both enjoyed it. I had ham, egg and chips and the other half had liver and bacon. It was the best ham and egg I have ever had, the ham was thick and delicious. The other half enjoyed his liver and bacon immensely. We couldn’t finish the meals as we had stuffed our faces with the starter. The meals are superb, but don’t eat all day to make room for them

Nice traditional pub with a lively feel and what seemed to be a good contingent of regulars, at least on a Friday evening. The pub interior is very nicely presented, immaculate toilets, and the staff are really friendly and attentive. Car parking to the rear. It was very busy when we arrived and we hadn't booked a table but they managed to accommodate us. The food was excellent, traditional pub grub in nature but superbly cooked and presented. Prices typically in the £11-£13 range for a main course. Service was very prompt. With 3 top cask ales on the bar you really can't go wrong.

We last visited The Kings Arms two years ago and were so impressed that we decided to revisit with family and friends. We have in the recent past also recommended this venue. Sadly our long awaited return visit was not the success that we had anticipated. We observed that the prices had increased considerably, That the atmosphere had declined and that the food was not nearly as good as before. Despite early notice of gluten free requirement there was a very limited choice on offer, that being a Ceasar salad without the croutons. The other dishes were acceptable but nothing special and all were relatively expensive. It was also a pity that very noisy inconsiderate patrons were at the bar close to our table. The waiting staff were fine but there was some difficulty with the owner when it was requested that the bill be separated. Sadly we will not be returning to The Kings Arms during any future visit to Emsworth.

After attending the excellent quiz night here on Mondays we decided to try the food here and came here on a Thursday evening.

We came as a group for a family dinner. There is a nice atmosphere here and the staff are friendly and attentive. Everybody was very happy with their meals and the portions were good. Service was prompt and accurate. I love that dogs are allowed inside! I'd recommend coming here for any meal or a drink.

Superbly cooked Sole, impeccable service, not what you expect in a local. Impressed, very. Shame we ate here the second night, not the first. This place is a must to eat at.

This pub was within walking distance to our hotel and that was why we chose to eat here. On the first night we were so impressed with the food and service we decided not to try anywhere else for our second night and went back again. The food was very well presented and tasty. Exceptionally good value for money. Staff were very helpful and chatty and willing to advise us on the menu.

We were celebrating a 50th birthday.The staff and service were excellent. The choice on menu excellent. Roast dinner was very good and a nice way of doing vegetables with a little bit of a kick! Lovely yorkshires! Beef cooked to perfection. Raspberry creme brulee was a hit and the lemon blitz was described as divine.

Went here last night (Thursday) with friends and had a great meal. Atmosphere was buzzing, the staff were attentive, the food was lovely, can’t fault it. A must to book as this pub is getting more and more popular. Going back next week with more friends for festive meal.

Driving along the South Coast, I fancied a pint and a bite of lunch. The next pub I saw was the King's Arms. It looked a reasonable sort of place so I popped in and asked for the menu.

Have just eaten at the Kings arms for the first time, what can I say except the food was absolutely first class the meat cooked to perfection as was the vegetables and a large homemade Yorkshire pudding, the staff were really efficient and friendly nothing was to much trouble, will definitely recommend to family and friends and look forward to my next visit

We were looking for somewhere for a meal after a day at West Wittering beach and stumbled across this delightful pub. We were a party of 7 and welcomed by a friendly member of staff. We were seating quickly. Good choice of meals, we considered it to be excellent value. Staff very efficient. All meals were excellent, fresh, quality ingredients. We all enjoyed our meal, setting us up for our journey home. If this was local to us we would visit regularly. Thank you for making us feel welcome, sending us off with full tummies for our journey home. Next time we visit the beach we'll be back.

When we arrived the bar was very noisy and we wondered if we had made the right choice of venue but were shown to a table around the corner which was quiet. Staff were very friendly and service was quite quick although the pub was busy.The hunters chicken was delicious as was my hubby's gammon steak. The prices were cheaper than we pay in Suffolk.

Very attractive outside, large car park and beer garden at rear. Very impressed with inside, very clean and attractive. Staff polite and efficient. Went in for lunch on penultimate day of holiday, so wish we had dined here before! Friday lunchtime, got a table for two but booking may be advisable. We chose from the Seniors/Lighter Menu, 2 courses for just £9.95. The meals were nicely presented, and hot. Portion sizes were more than adequate! The food was flavoursome and we could find no fault at all.

OH had the fish & chips which he said was good, fish lovely but pity the chips are out of the freezer. I had liver and bacon which was really good.

It truly is a great pub everyone so friendly.the landlord behind the bar has a wicked sense of humour.i would truly recommend this pub as it's a great atmosphere.i have never eaten here so can't say about the food.but every time I go to Emsworth this is my first stop.

We wanted to find a place to eat in Emsworth and what a gem this place turned out to be! Open for dinner at 6 for those, like us, that like to eat early. Shared starters of chicken liver pate and whitebait, followed by sirloin steak, liver, hunter’s chicken and Barnsley lamb, all tremendous. We will definitely be returning. All topped off by excellent service and a lovely atmosphere.

We ordered fish and chips for lunch, paid nearly £10 for it and it was cheap fish you would buy at Iceland’s , I had gammon, tasted a bit rubbery, staff were friendly though

Popped in for food and so glad we did. Bar staff were so lovely and friendly. Food selection is very good. Portion size large. All in all totally worth the trip.

Went for the Tuesday night steak night in a party of six. Five of us had the steaks which were great value and cooked perfectly to the requested taste (rare, medium and well done).

A proper pub with great food, most of which is from local suppliers or is local produce, all freshly cooked,alongside genuine friendly service. Excellent value. Visited with friends and had the best steak ( from the specials) that I have had for a long time. Well known locally for really good Sunday lunches too!

This is now my favourite pub in Emsworth.it is a very friendly pub I will defentley come back here.it looks a very good pub if your a local or a tourist to the area.the girl behind the bar was very friendly.if you come to Emsworth you must defently try this pub.i didn't try the food so I can't say about that.

I was fortunate to win a raffle prize of Sunday lunch for four at The King's Arms, Emsworth. What an amazing time we had! Nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent; hot and plentiful. We often stop here for drink after work so decided to come down sat evening for meal. It is such a friendly “local” pub where everyone is welcome. Food was delicious, I had minted lamb & red currant pie which was fresh, tasty & no soggy bottom in sight. My husband went for the mixed grill which was cooked to perfection. The staff are so friendly & attentive & looked like they enjoyed working there. Would definitely recommend.

Always love eating at the Kings Head (previously I had a fab Sunday roast). I brought my dad here for a meal Saturday lunchtime and the food was as good as ever. He said it was probably the best ham and eggs he'd ever had! I had the home made pie (turkey and ham) and my wife had the hunter's chicken. No complaints from any of us, and looking forward to eating there again soon.

I've been visiting the King's Arms for quite a few years and it varies hugely in quality - I suspect the chef varies likewise ! However, the portions are always generous.

It was a busy night as it was a Friday but that didn’t stop the girls giving an attentive and fantastic service.

Gavin and his team did an incredible job serving 52 WI ladies their Christmas lunch on 20 December 2017. The food was beautifully presented, the service was friendly and helpful and we all had a brilliant time. We are lucky to have such excellent food at reasonable prices and a top landlord too! We will be back!

All the staff very welcoming on our arrival - this was our first visit to the Kings Arms and we didn't know what to expect, The outside of the building doesn't really do it justice - inside is very quaint and lovely. Good variety of food served and very reasonably priced. Exceptionally good quality home cooked food - I had Hunters Chicken which was delicious and my husband had ham, egg and chips. Very generous portions of food well presented and piping hot. Staff all very polite and friendly. Highly recommended.

The pub is the ideal location for a meander round Emsworth shops in the High Street or walk down Bath Road, almost opposite the pub and join the Solent Way, check them out on Bing maps (aerial or bird's eye) of the area. The pub has a reasonable amount of room with a quite large garden next to the car park, a nice feature is the absence of in-house entertainment (TV, jukebox, slots et cetera). We visited for a short stroll along the Solent Way then came back for lunch, the usual pub grub menu and normal prices. Pamela and I had fish 'n chips, very enjoyable, plenty of fish, too. Because of the location I expect it's a popular place in the summertime.

This is a very nice place to eat very friendly and helpful nice little car park at back .

We had an evening meal here one evening whilst staying in a nearby hotel. The atmosphere in the pub and the welcome were both really good. Great choice of food with regular menu and specials. Shared a starter which was ample for two and then had one main meal off the menu and one off the specials. All three dishes were excellent but, unfortunately, couldn't manage a pudding from what looked like a good selection. Good beer choice with great food served by friendly staff.

Mi madre sabe bien y Gavin ha usado esta un montón de pub. Sin embargo me amd mi esposa además de madre y su compañero fuimos la noche de pasta comida teníamos especiales de pasta que era muy pobre y terminamos de enviar de vuelta 9 comidas para 4 de nosotros. En la parte superior de esta otra pareja estaban descontentos con su plato de pasta y nos dijo que nunca volvería. Comida muy pobre tenía que tener una pizza cuando llegamos a la casa.

Having driven by this pub on the main road in Emsworth many times we finally decided to give it a try last week. Am I glad that we did! Parking is quite easy as there is a car park at the side and rear of the pub. After quite a few rather disappointing pub meals over the past few months this was a real change. They have a reasonably extensive menu and the dishes we chose (Fish cakes and scotch egg for starters, pork rib steak and pea and parmesan risotto for mains) were excellent, be aware though that portions are on the large side (my wife had two starters and it was still a bit too much for her), service was prompt and very friendly and the beer (it's a Fullers pub) was well kept. All in all a very nice meal, I wish all pubs could do as well.

We arrived on Tuesday night, which just happens to be steak night, which is good because we were looking for steak. They portions were very good served with King's Fries which were also very good. Service was good although it slowed down when they got busy. There is quite a bit of seating on the lawn out back, and parking is easy. Is was only 10.95 GBP for each of dinner which was a bargain given all the food we got. Enjoy

A huge thank you to Gavin and his team of staff that went out of their way to make our day special. We had full use of the beer garden during the day along with a BBQ that Gavin supplied. He had also put up a marquee too. The food was plentiful, loved the potato salad and tandoori chicken! We had close family and friends, along with quite a few kids and space was perfect as was the weather! In the evening we had sole use of the pub, we supplied an acoustic guitarist for background music. Everybody who attended commented on how lovely the pub, beer garden and staff were as well as how tasty the food was. Thank you once again. We will be visiting again soon for lunch or dinner as will quite a a few of our local friends.

This really good pub is walking distance from our family that live in the village , about a year ago we went to a party there and the buffet then was excellent. After going for a walk around Emsworth with the dog we called in for Sunday lunch. I didn't realise until then that this pub has 2 gardens , 1 for children , the other for adults , both are a really good size , plenty of space for everyone. The menu is extensive and we could have chosen a Sunday roast but all 4 of us choose something different . The portions were very generous and all the food was really tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely plan to return!

We are so lucky that this lovely pub is within walking distance of our house. There is plenty of choice on the menu, together with frequently changed specials. The food is excellent, nicely presented and plentiful. There is a small restaurant area, a pleasant garden for summer and otherwise space just to eat in the bar. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The owner is friendly and welcoming and the bar staff are great. In particular Ashleigh, the bar maid/waitress is a credit to the pub. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Kings Arms.

We really enjoyed our meal here - the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was tasty and well presented with a good selection on the menu and the atmosphere in the pub was nice. Was definitely a good choice for our evening in Emsworth.

We decided to have lunch at the kings arms and wasn't disappointed. With 4 adults and 3 kids in our group everybody really enjoyed their meals would definitely come back!

We popped in here for a late lunch as it looked enticing from the outside and it proved to be a good decision. The menu had ample choice and was good value, with the added bonus of special deals. We were a party of four; one had fish & chips from the main menu, two of the party opted for the whole quail with a delicious potato and leek stack and the fourth person had a smoked haddock dish topped with a soft poached egg. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating; one of the party did not want any of the vegetables or trimmings served with the quail and were therefore offered chips. Three of the party had dessert, with two opting for the chocolate brownie while I had the sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch ice cream. We were all very happy with our meals and would happily return when in the town again.

Looking for somewhere to eat out at one time Kings Arms wouldn't have been on the radar. But chance had it they were advertising a new menu so decided to give them a try. And what a pleasant surprise, A cracking menu and seniors menu (weds till fri)..The service was good and the food cooked and presented excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. There was no music blasting out in the background allowing for conversation at table without having to shout at each other. We will certainly be using the Kings Arms again.

Had high hopes of this place, and indeed inside it was very pleasant. It also has a garden for warmer weather, and adequate parking. The staff were very nice. Service was quite slow, and when the food came, it really was poor - stringy meat and not cooked as requested.
