The Kings Arms in Bexley

We went as a family of five for Mother’s Day - initial impression was good but then came the food. Our waitress took the order without notes commenting that she’d been doing this for years - one of the starters was wrong and everyone else had finished by the time it arrived. The mushroom pate on toast was so unappealing and tasted of anything but mushrooms. I was asked if I wanted something else but declined as we had already waited ages. The roast beef was tough, the potatoes insipid and the vegetables stone cold. The virtually untouched plates were removed with the “was everything ok” comment. We saw lots of plates going back virtually untouched - the bill was a shade under £200 for two courses which I would happily pay for decent food. Maybe the restaurant was just overstretched and they had taken too many bookings. I do appreciate the excellent reviews but on this occasion and our experience it was a ruined Mother’s Day that we won’t ever get back.

Best pub in the area great food

Always enjoy the food here however on this occasion l had to send back my cambert sharing starter as was like spreading butter as over cooked. Had to ask how long our mains would take as service was very slow even though it was 15:30 and restaurant was only half full. Had to ask for extra gravy as not enough on our roast.

Always a great friendly atmosphere. A surprisingly varied menu for a pub, and great value for money. We go here fairly often, with the family and a catch up night with the girls. Staff always friendly, helpful and in good spirits. Excellent Roast dinner on Sundays, they have a lunch special menu during the week and a good choice of main meals. They hold fun quiz nights, family movies and have a little cubby of board games and a dart board to have a enjoyable time with your friends or family.

Always look forward to a few drinks at the King's Arms, and honestly it never disappoints. Staff, food and atmosphere are always amazing. If you find you ever find yourself looking for a decent local ...... Look no further than this amazing place

There were 17 of us for a family birthday celebration on Saturday night 27th January .. Great food, excellent service, wonderful ambience.. thank you to all at Kings arms for helping to make a fantastic memorable night ..

Went to a wake here. Good selection of drinks and the food was really nice. Bar staff was friendly and helpful.

Can always guarantee having a good time and good food where we come. Service is friendly and welcoming. The menu is often changing with the seasons, never had the same thing twice. Cocktails are amazing. Offers quiz nights, bingo nights, movie nights and live music. I would recommend.

At present I am in a wheelchair, had been told this was accessible for wheelchairs. The entrance has a step, no worries, staff were very quick to bring a ramp. All staff were very attentive & helpful. Food was very tasty & value for money. Will definitely go back. Disabled toilet was very clean.

Stopped for lunch .. very good .. pub was busy .. service was very good.. Will return .

Been to Sunday lunch today at The KINGS ARMS today ... Was told the rooftop terrace was nice ... Its a ski theme on the terrace so old wooden cable spools for tables and smaller one for chairs ,... Had a lovely starter of fresh cooked spicy wings made in the pub there were stunning and a chorizo prawn toast in creamy sauce which was stunning and tasty... I had a couple of standbys and the mixed meat Sunday roast that was very good ... I admit I did indulge in the afters which was a .ixed very crumble and ice cream for the big eaters out there.. that was a 10 out of 10 for me I'm a sweet toothed guy.. 💯👍 ... our waitress Sarah was very attentive and proffesional alot of young people seem not so enthusiastic about there jobs not so for sarah smiling proffesional and couteous. 12 of us had our Xmas Doo here last night, the food, from mussels, burgers, fish, steak to ice cream was fabulous. The staff worked their socks off to keep the table clear and replenish drinks. The place was rammed, but never felt uncomfortable. A good mix of people creating a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit, best pub in Bexleyheath

Really nice pub, used to come here over 20 years ago and it is so much better. Very welcoming, spacious and warm. Can't wait to revisit! Quite busy when I was here but service was decent. Only complaint was that one young male bartender had not much sense of service - he was either playing with his phone (even while working) or serving the person in front of him - not who was next.

Fabulous evening spent at Kings Arms. Lovely Christmas choir serenaded us while we had our delicious supper. Well done all especially the staff who made the evening so special. And the chef for their amazing roasted sprouts

Wow. Firstly, what a transformation! The pub looks amazing, the beer selection was great and well as having a great atmosphere about the whole place. The roof top terrace was very relaxed and a great addition.

From walking in the staff were attentive the atmosphere was friendly. The food was great and can’t wait for my next visit

I've always enjoyed popping in for food and drinks (great kitchen turning out high quality pub grub with a gastro twist and clean pumps delivering great quality Guinness; those who know, know) but had the pleasure of performing in the pub tonight to a great crowd. Lovely atmosphere and we were lucky to be invited to sing there with a cracking crowd. Cheers Pete and the team....

You can see why they win best pub all the time. They create this atmosphere that welcomes locals and newcomers all at once. Lovely buzz, lovely staff. Recommend highly for food, drink and frivolity.

Pre Booked many weeks in advance for a birthday dinner, arrived to be shown to a bar table which was not suitable for an evening meal. Asked to be moved to the table in the zone we had booked. Told that the system had automatically changed the zoning and there was nothing that could be done. Pressed the issue and was then moved to another area, right outside the kitchen entrance and waiting staff station. Table had not been set up fully, asked again about the table we had booked as it was available and empty, told a bigger party had booked It and their booking too preference. Went to order for starters and mains, staff took order, then came back 5 mins later to say 2/3 choices were not available. This was start of the evening service and they were already out of many items, staff obviously had not had a briefing from the kitchen before service. When we said this was not really acceptable told by the waiting staff it was not her problem and she had already had along and stressful day. I am not sure why that is the problem of the customer, she then went on to be even more rude and objectionable. Ask to speak to the manger who was completely uninterested at all and could not get away fast enough. We decided to leave at this point, was not acknowledged at all. I would think long and hard about booking this pub for dinning and certainly would not recommend for a special occasion. We will not be returning.

Walked in for lunch whilst shopping in Bexleyheath just myself and my mum. We were apprehensive at first as only a handful of people in but decided to give it a go. We were given a warm greeting by a friendly guy We were pleasantly surprised by the menu not your average pub grub our starter of chestnut mushrooms on ciabatta was really tasty. We will definitely be coming back .

Pub as no other!!! Mostly because of the great atmosphere. Every member of the staff here is extremely friendly which as you all probably know is not a common thing in other places. Definitely the best pub in Bexleyheath ❤️

What a gem of a place. Attended a West End Theatre song night, and it was brilliant, top-class entertainment. This pub deserves its recent award. Highly recommended.

The meal today was great and the staff were very pleasant and welcoming as usual. Our waitress was new and very polite . I had the tortellini which was lovely

abit disappointed with the roast, menu says pork comes with crackling which was not included and veg was half burned. Told the staff they said oh yeah we don’t have cracklings today not even apologise for it. Staff couldn’t care saw my toddler but didn’t bring children’s menu had to ask for it. Hubby had burger and it was tasteless apparently. Such a shame it’s a pub close to us so we would like to give it a second chance.

Exceptional food, lovely cider, great service. Enjoyable evening with friends.

Delicious meal tonight. Possibly the best Sticky Toffee pudding I have ever had! Travelled all the way across the Atlantic, from Penetanguishene, Canada. And it was well worth the journey!

Great food which arrived in good time and was hot. Staff were very friendly and tentative making sure we were ok for drinks which sounds obvious but most places you go to now lack that service.

I would not go there only if it is to disco time. After that, I would not even sit my bum there. Too expensive for drink, best place to go is wetherspoons. Cheaper

My sister and I visited The Kings Arms yesterday for lunch. After ordering our drinks we looked at the lunch time menu and found it uninspiring and if we had not got our drinks would have left. We finally found something to order and it was nicely presented. While we were waiting for our food a party of 4 came in looked at the menu and left as they could not find anything suitable. The staff were friendly and efficient but we will not be dining there again.

Worked away for the week and this was our first place for food. We stayed all week as the food and beer were exceptional. Thanks to Diego and the team. Keep up the great work. Food is fantastic

Casey behind the bar provided outstanding service with a real pleasant, smiley, enthusiastic manner. The JD Buger was amazing and the London Pride Ale just as good. There with a work colleague at 7:30pm on a Tuesday night. I would recommend.

Never been before popped in for lunch a busy place and got noisy, service by waitresses good kitchen staff slow food good but not a large menu. Toilet floors had water over half of them I assume a leak.

This has got to be 1 of the best pubs I have been to in a long time, not only is Diego the most welcoming landlord ever but also a genuinely nice guy and great to talk too, it also has some amazing chefs and some of the best food I have ever tasted in a restaurant let alone a pub.... we stayed in bexley heath working and would never have dreamed to of found this gem of a pub. we had such a great time at the quiz night full of laughs and such great atmosphere, we will definitely be returning 😊

Each and every member of staff make you feel welcome on each visit. Service is always excellent.

Had a lovely meal here today on the roof terrace a table of 9 with my family celebrating my birthday. Staff were amazing, especially as they were run off their feet. All the meals were lovely. I had the beefburger with cheese & bacon which was delicious. A few had roasts which they said were the best they'd had. We'll definitely be coming back! Shout out to Pete who I used to work with at the frontier Post for an amazing job at running this pub.

Lovely place for a beer and a Sunday roast

Love sitting in the roof top bar, in the sunshine. You can almost imagine you're not in Bexleyheath town centre.

Long standing pub in the area, always friendly and comfortable

Great to be able to sit up on the beer garden, lovely and warm as it is all enclosed.

Pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, quality of food on offer and the service. They've got a really well stocked Gin selection and cocktails too. Can't wait to go back to try out the roof terrace in the summer.

Went for lunch and unless you want a full dinner size meal it us a very a limited lunch menu. Food was ok but very average

Just popped in for a few beers after a disastrous meal at Pizza Express (wished we had booked in here). Bar staff could not be faulted, efficient, attentive and always on the lookout for service.

We went for mother's day movie on Sunday. Roast was ok however I'm told it was a different Sunday roast to the one they usually serve (which is much better) great service and atmosphere in the rooftop bar.

Had a lovely afternoon on the rooftop of the Kings Arms Bexleyheath for our Nephews Birthday and it was so nice and the staff very nice and accommodating. The food was very well sized and worth the money! THANK YOU

We went there to try their Sunday roast and we were not disappointed. We had the beef and pork, both were delicious. The gravy, mash, vegetables and of course the meat were all cooked well and came with great flavour

Served reasonably quickly on a busy Friday (St Patrick's) night. Music being set up when we left for a meal. I thought the drinks were a little on the expensive side, but pub costs are through the roof.

We just left The KIngs Arms, Bexleyheath, for lunch and I can honestly tell you, it was a really good idea. Table for three, me, the wife and the mother - in - law. They were really very kind, I asked for a special chair...

Couple date lunch. Good great. Lilly was a great host. The staff were good too very attentive and pleasant for a lunchtime.

Really nice place to go for a drink or food, we had roast there (which was really tasty n good value) . Always has a nice vibe .

Very good food, hot, wait a little long, the waiters are not very attentive and don't clear it... we had to ask for the coffees because they didn't come to clear it. We took a menu, but when ordering the drinks at the beginning he should have told us which drinks were included.. Finally, perhaps because we are tourists, we easily add £30 to the bill, fortunately we noticed and redid the calculations (just because we each pay our own) otherwise we surely would not have noticed. Otherwise nice place anyway, they were still nice. + he had a place to change babies! The best

We had a fantastic night in here last night for our Christmas dinner…. Thank u to Michelle for organising it all for us, the food was so good… the trout was delicious. The lady looking after us Antonella was very attentive and accommodating. It was all topped off with a disco on the roof. All in all a great night. We’ll definitely be back.
