Great food, great beer and a good atmosphere, very helpful, welcoming and accommodating staff. Sunday roast is very good highly recommend.

Best pub locally nothing else can touch this pub. The stalk are very polite the manager Wayne is the best pub manger I have ever meet, he is on top on the staff and clients. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

We visited for Sunday lunch,bar was busy ,we where greeted at the bar by a female member of staff who was polite and engaging she showed us to our table , straight away and came and took our drinks order . The drinks arrived promptly,and we then gave our order for our food ,we was informed there was only 1 sea bass left and she said the pie was steak and kidney . The food arrived very quickly pipping hot and a variety of different vegetables,my friend had the last sea bass with the roasted vegetables and she said it was the best piece of fish she had eaten ,we all had roast beef we had a thick slice pink in the middle with a lovely gravy ,I commented to the waitress it was the best gravy I had ever had and she said it’s a secret recipe lol . We was asked if we would like a desert and the black board was bought over ,I asked if there was any hot desert and the waitress said you can have them heated up,there wasn’t anything we liked as there was cheesecake and gateaux+ a few others we would of liked a winter pudding like apple crumble or syrup sponge . We asked for the bill and asked if the tip goes to the staff and the waitress replied it did ,the whole place was warm and friendly ,the food was excellent would definitely eat here again .

The manager Wayne could not do enough for you if he tried. We took our two children who are fussy and they worked around everything for them. The food is spot on and the service could not fault. Will be back very soon! Also all the staff are very friendly!!

Had an excellent Sunday Roast today at King & Queen, great portion size with all the trimmings, myself & my partner both had Roast Beef and it was delicious, easily one of the best roast dinners I’ve had in a long time, all staff were very friendly & helpful, will definitely be back soon

Went for dinner this evening and had a lovely meal. The staff were nice and the food delicious. Hubby is a vegetarian and it was nice for him to have a great choice for once and oh boy, the size of the risotto was amazing! So many restaurants seem to think veggie portions can be tiny but not here! We had a great evening, left stuffed and will definitely return. Thank you all.

Had the most fantastic Sunday roast at the king and queen absolutely delicious with generous helpings, I can honestly say its the best roast I have had (except from my mum's).

Went here weekend before last on a first date. We both had the roast she had the lamb and I had the beef roast, the food was delicious and perfect portion sizes. We sat and ate in the garden which was lovely and well maintained, we were served by a lady called Becks or Becky? She absolutely wonderful, extremely polite and friendly and when I mentioned I'm weird and like mint sauce with my beef she even got me an extra serving of mint sauce! Which I thought was an extremely nice gesture and also shows that the staff actually listen to what you say in conversation, which was amazing and made the visit feel more personal. I would definitely recommend this place for the great food and great service, will definitely be coming back! Many thanks to all for the great afternoon!

Best roast I've ever had at a pub. Delicious range of meats and veg. Portion sizes are excellent as well. The atmosphere is very nice as well, relaxed and friendly. There was a band in the garden the day we went and the music was very good. Toilets are exceptionally clean and pleasant. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. My partner and brother also loved it. We had a large party of 7 friends and we were easily accommodated. I also noticed children present so clearly a child friendly place and also dog friendly as a number of pooches in the pub garden, which is lovely and spacious. I will definitely be back again, and looking forward to trying other things on the menu!

I always feel like reviews should have balance so I think it's only fair I start with the positives. We stayed in their accommodation for one night. They're just three rooms located in a converted barn out the back of the property. The rooms are clean, well presented and reasonably sized with ensuite shower rooms. Check in was easy and straight forward and they were very accommodating about us checking in slightly earlier as well as providing a hairdryer too. It was a lovely touch that a continental breakfast was included consisting of cereal, fruit juice, milk in the fridge for the cereal as well as the usual tea and coffee. The rooms were very warm meaning that we opened the windows as soon as we got in there to help cool it down but it was still unfortunately the same when we returned later that evening. I imagine they're perfect in the winter time. This did not spoil our stay. The following morning as we were sleeping we were woken with someone trying to open our door, not once but twice. The first time was around 630am (it woke my husband up) he then heard them talking outside. It was then tried again about 810am which woke me up as they slammed the door at the bottom of the stairs followed by lots of loud chatter outside our window. It was so lucky we had locked our door as they would have walked straight into our room without our permission. It's the stuff of nightmares being half asleep and someone is trying to get into your room and I truly hope that they don't do this to all of their patrons. Having said this I would stay there again. I just hope they take this feedback on board, have a quiet word with their staff who maybe inadvertently don't realise they're scaring their customers.

Extremely disappointed with our meals. My husband ordered a rare steak which definitely wasn't. My fish was so overcooked. My sons turkey and ham pie was dry. Our starter of a sharing platter of prawns, squid and halumi was so expensive for the size of the portion. Our plates handed out for the starters were dirty and sent back twice.
