The kilbroney bar and restaurant in Newry and Mourne

We were 'walk-ins' on a crowded night. Notwithstanding that the place was buzzing we were shown to a table quickly and throughout the evening, enjoyed attentive and pleasant service. I started with Garlic Mushrooms - probably the best I've ever had. My wife had Scampi that she declared to be delicious while I enjoyed the 'surf and turf'. Everything was timely and courteous - the staff really score 100%. Delightful!

We had two delicious meals here. The atmosphere was nice and lively and a waitress called Angela was outstanding in that she looked after our needs on both nights which was particularly appreciated by me as I had my 84 year old mother with us.

My husband and I were in Rostrevor for the night and this was the only restaurant open on a Monday night. We thought we were settling for a meal that wasn’t going to be great (especially after hiking 12 miles to get here). The meal was fabulous and completely exceeded our expectations. Wish they were open tomorrow, because we would go again in a heartbeat. The service and food was top notch!

Not impressed with the tiny prawns of which I only got 11 or 12 as a main course. Not sure chips fried in lard go with any seafood. I was disappointed

Visited the Kilbroney for my mothers 80th birthday and was not disappointed. A great menu with something for everyone. The waitress was top notch and was knowledgeable about the menu. Food was exceptional. Well presented generous portions. All 11 of us had a fantastic experience with not a crumb left on any plate. Will most certainly be back.

I was in town for a couple days break from Belfast. Have been to Rostrevor many times and usually eat in the excellent Rostrevor Inn but sadly they were not open this Monday. So I tried the Kilbroney Inn. As soon as I walked in, I knew it wasn't going to be a great experience. No greeting; told the bar staff (older woman) that I'd like to get a meal. She couldn't have cared less. I followed up by asking for a menu, then took a seat and had a good 15 minute wait before anyone bothered with me. The lackluster service continued up to the moment I took myself back to the bar and asked for the bill, then waited until the slightly more helpful waitress came to deal with it. The whole vibe was unfriendly, like I was disturbing the staff in the middle of something far more important. I watched two other tables, clearly tourists, get much the de treatment...Maybe the place is better if you're a local but there was certainly no charm for the rest of us. The menu has the usual fare...actually, almost identical to the Rostrevor Inn's. (The physical menu has about as much appeal as a phone book; some money spent on a designer qouldnt go amiss!) I got a burger and skinny chips. It was not inedible, especially if (like me) you knew you didn't have any more appealing option nearby! But it wasn't good either Burger overcooked and tasteless; chips with a slight film of grease. I had planned to stay for a couple of pints before heading back to my room, but honestly, the whole thing was an uncomfortable experience.

After a spectacular visit to Spelga Dam we decided to see what restaurants Rostrevor had to offer. As we left the car, the heavens opened and Kilbroney was the closest place. It is beautifully decorated with a jovial atmosphere. The menu had plenty of choice and there was something for everyone. Everything we ate was simply divine; we had had amazing meals during our 3 day visit and this place did not disappoint! A shout out needs to be made for our lovely waitress Angela whose cheery disposition added to our wonderful experience!

First of all, this place is more of a restaurant than a bar. The food is distinctly average and very expensive for what you get compared with local competitors. There is a small cramped bar beside the restaurant

Started well with decent wine and starters. Spring rolls, chicken wings and prawn cocktail. Then it went downhill. I ordered a "Thai Green curry" with rice and naan bread. What I got was Chinese chicken curry with ciabatta! I informed the waitress who offered to change the dish. My company had already started their main so I said I'd keep what I ordered but was not happy with it. After the meal, although only 4 other tables were still in use, no one offered a dessert menu nor another drink. Waitress eventually came to clear table and asked if everything was ok. I asked for the bill. Was appalled to see the curry being charged for even though I'd made clear it was NOT Thai curry. Upon paying at the bar, a pleasant barman asked same. I repeated what I'd told the waitress and was asked if I'd like to speak to the manager. I refused as I did not want a fuss. But I did expect as a gesture of goodwill, they would have at least knocked something off the 70 quid bill without confrontation! Won't be back. The one star is for the wine.

we had a lovely meal in the Kilbroney, my wife had the steak which was cooked just right, I had the salt and chilly chicken and noddles and they were delicious. we didn't have to wait long for the food to be serve and we got good portions. we were served by very friendly and polite staff who checked that everything was fine for us, The overall price was very reasonable. If you are in Rostrover that give the Kilbroney a try.

Heard when these new chefs had been drafted in things were on the turn around, sadly that was just a rumour. Twice now I’ve frequented this establishment and after pulling out of my Christmas do because it was there I think it’s a safe bet that I won’t be back. On arrival we ordered a bottle of white wine, it came to the table and it was warmer than the 12th July. On pointing this out another staff member (presuming it was senior) said she would fetch us some ice?!? Not to worry, that was only charged at £25 that had one sip taken as it’s obviously ruined if not chilled. Having been at the table to take the food order and again to deliver the food left a lot to be desired regarding service. It’s a pity because some staff are excellent. As previously stated I was on my second lap here praying the food had improved. My mistake! Bland with no effort to rival the presentation. Wondering if the staff had went home we waited in vain for service before asking for the bill. Kindly, the shrimp which was supposedly to arrive with the surf and turf had eventually turned up.... on the bill. I’d advise retraining immediately both in and out of the kitchen as it’s so disappointing to see any business falling short of the mark, but like I said, I gave the staff do a miss because my days of dining here are at an end. Pls find attached a picture of a beer mat, add some water to it and enjoy knowing it’s a better bite than from this establishment. Best of luck in 2019, you’ll need it.

This was our first visit to The Kilbroney, and we made the right decision to make the hour journey to try it, on the good recommendations I've been hearing. The 2 chefs Blaine and Aidan who have taken over the food operation at this establishment are extremely professional at what they do; and this was shown in the presention, taste and the little touches throughout the dishes we had. Front of house was being looked after by Emma who is another valuable member of staff and she ensured our experience here was an enjoyable one. My family and I wish these two brothers every success in the future at this restaurant and we will definitely be back!

Service was friendly but slow and they stemmed a little confused as to what they were doing. Food was average, not worth what we paid for it. Had to ask for water twice, drink that was served was flat, table had no cutlery or sideplates - came after food had already been placed at the table. Bill had an added extra that we had to query which was then removed. Very disappointed as had heard great reviews, sadly won't be back.

We went to the Kilbroney last week with our three young children. The elf that served us couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. Our children loved him! The food was delicious! The burger was amazing!!! Can’t wait to go back!

I am not easily pleased when it comes to my dinner, but oh my WHAT A FEED! Dishes well presented and so so tatsty, I had the steak cooked to perfection.. Pleasant and friendly staff made evening much more enjoyable, would definitely return!

I was in Kilbronys last night with my boyfriend and a friend to catch up as we had heard good things and it certainly held up to proof.We ordered the three seafood specials and they were all wonderful. I had the halibut which was cooked perfectly and thoughtful accompaniments. The others had the turbot and the hake. I have to say the turbot was incredible. There’s a good selection of meats and other dishes also but being at the coast it was the fish that interested us. There was a very good atmosphere and the bar was bustling and busy. We found the food to be reasonably priced for the quality. Deserts superb also. The waiter couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. We can’t wait to return to rostrevor and the kilbrony.Thanks

The staff where very pleasant but the Dining room looks tired and food was not bad . A few middle aged women were very loud using a lot of bad language which was very of putting

Hadn't been in quite a while but heard about the two new chefs. Definitely did not disappoint. Food and service both fantastic. Fillet steak and crab claws were both delicious. Barry who served us was brilliant. Have already booked to go back in two days time.

Had our 30th anniversary here food and service amazing really made the day special.I would recommend this venue for lunch and evening

Been here a few times in recent months and have never had a problem. Food is delicious and really tasty. Geeat variety on the menu for all eaters. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone as it offers the best food around without a doubt!

We were lucky to find a 2-person table on a Saturday night at almost 9 pm. Very nice staff and fresh fish and chips for a good price (11.99£). recommend the place !

We had not been back to this restaurant for some time due to the change in chefs. However we recently decided to return as we had heard that there were two new chefs on the scene.

Booked last minute, and got a table. Food was delicious, starters of duck, and then mains of salmon, crispy salt chicken, and steaks, all fantastic. Service was attentive but slow at times. The atmosphere is great, and a lovely dining experience. We will be back.

Excellent food and friendly service. The adjoining pub, Crawford's, has wonderful live music most evenings.

Had a great meal for two. We both opted for grilled fish as our main course which was cooked to perfection. The restaurant was extremely busy on the Friday night we visited and the service was reasonably efficient considering this. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Even though we visited on the busiest evening of the festival weekend we where looked after wonderfully. The food was excellent and special mention for our waiter in the downstairs restaurant, really went the extra mile to make our children welcome. Will certainly visit again when back this way.

I have been here a few times in recent weeks and everytime it is absolutely perfect. The seafood chowder is amazing and very reasonably priced and if your looking for a feed you should try the T Bone steak. These 2 chefs know what they are doing. Pop in and give it a go because if your disappointed there is something wrong with you. The service is brilliant from the minute you walk in the door until you leave.

Local lady, who runs a nearby shop, pointed us in the direction of this place. Food here is very fresh & well cooked. The roast beef dinner was excellent. Everything beautifully cooked.

Visited here last nite with my girlfriend. Was quite busy and had a short wait for the table because the friendly waitress that met us got us to have a seat at the bar gave us menus and explained all the specials and different soups on offer that nite. After a short we were seated and ordered our food. We ordered the buffalo chicken wings to share and they were excellent a nice portion and good sized wings. Our mains then came and my girlfriend had the beef stroganoff with chips and fluffy boiled rice which looked fabulous on the plate and she said it tasted better I had the steak sandwich medium rare which was cooked to perfection served on a lovely crispy garlic ciabatta bread with tobacco onions on top served with chips and beautiful home made peppercorn sauce it was by far one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Unfortunately we wer too full to fit any deserts in but will definitely be back. Keep up the great work guys

I am in Rostrevor for the Fiddlers Green Festival with my wife to be. We called into the Kilbroney Bar for Sunday lunch. She ordered the roast beef medium, it was the nicest roast beef we ever tasted. I got the Sirloin steak, it was very poor quality and had no flavour. I wish I went for the roast beef and saved myself 4 pound. The flavour in the roast beef was out of this world. I give the sirloin steak 3 and my fiance gave the roast beef 5 .

Went on a Sunday without booking and had a four course, price was very reasonable but didn’t understand how you can have starter, main, dessert with tea or coffee and only take starter and main for only £2 less. Was overcharged until I pointed out the bill wasn’t added up. Everyone seemed to be doing same sections so therefore people weren’t getting served right, had to ask for drinks, sauce, cutlery which should be given or asked when getting food.Service not so good, 3 people on a small round table was uncomfortable.

Well worth the wait... photos to show our lovely meal for 4 on a girls night out... Duck pancakes and Goats cheese starters and our main course included, The steak sandwiches with tobacco onions , salt and chilli chicken on a bed of noodles and the lovely Thai Green Curry with rice and Nan bread... (the best Thai curry I ever had).... mint aero cheese cake to finish and coffees ... very helpful staff, you might have to book in advance as they have got very busy... but it’s well worth the wait.... would highly recommend ... would definitely be back!!

Was here recently with family. I suggested here as it was never tried by my family beforehand and I wanted to support local business. I’ve always loved eating here and was excited about doing a family dinner here.

This has been our favourite local for quite a while! And the food staff and atmosphere has always surpassed expectations. We decided to wait to try the new menu until a special occasion... tonight was our anniversary! Waited 30 minutes on a drink... almost an hour for the starters... mushrooms were sitting in 2 inches of oil, Altho chowder was nice! Main meal.. mine was supposed to be salmon with leeks and asparagus... no leeks or asparagus but my whole plate swimming in the seafood chowder with smoked fish which I can’t stand! My husband had the linguine it was like thick double cold cream just poured into it... and the table next to us got exactly the same but 3 times the portion! Veg were obviously microwaved... like rubber! So disappointed with service and food! We came home early with a Chinese and bottle of wine

Visit to Kilbroney yesterday evening and very disappointed. Waited fifteen minutes for water to be delivered to our table. No lemons provided. Service slow. Had the salted chilli chicken. Chicken had no taste, not salted and no chilli. Stir fry in pool of soy sauce and sweet chilli liquid, vegetables soggy. Staff bringing out food to various tables and returning to kitchen with same food. Our seafood chowder arrived without butter for wheaton bread, it was brought out a few minutes later.

Quickly seated waited 20 minutes for food it was delicious busy place.. the staff very friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but it took over two hours for a two course meal. The food was just ok and as per my title there is room for improvement.

Great food and service, great price too. Could not complain. Would definitely go back soon, new chefs from Fitzpatricks in Carlingford have taken over the kitchen and nice lads they are too

Fantastic food of the highest standard. Service was wonderful , Angela looked after us well. If you want a tasty meal at great prices in wonderful surroundings this is the place to go.

Ordering a simple drink with no-one else at the bar is an excercise in patience if your face is not recognised as a regular customer. Regulars will be served before you...whilst you wait and wait. Met with a surly attitude when this blatant and rude...

The steak sandwich is fantastic and the burger has been fixed. Lovely friendly staff. Hopefully will last the distance with the incredible surge in quality in the town and the main competitors constantly redecorating and changing up their menus.

There is nothing here to complain about!! Staying in Kilbroney Park, time passed us by. Phoned thru & told not a problem. Taxi down. First impressions were...this looks ok. Quite busy. Waitress came to us, so pleasant & welcoming. From there on things just got better!! Service amazing, quick, pleasant &friendly; staff. Food..... well it was so tasty, well presented, delicious and couldn't have asked for better. Will be back!!! Thank you all at Kilbroney Bar & Restaurant!!!❤❤

We had chicken wings & beef nachos to start, we all loved them, absolutely gorgeous!

Family of 7 adults and two children attended for evening meal on a Saturday. 50 minute wait between ordering food and receiving it, complicated by food not all arriving at the same time and children's meals served last. Two very hungry cranky children by the time food arrived! Whatever the reason was for such a wait, we are sympathetic to most explanations. But unfortunately we didn't get one. Staff however aware of our frustrations and we were grateful to have deduction of price of dessert off our bill. Most reasonable people wont get cheesed off with a wait for food if they are told there will be a wait when they arrive. A simple communication that would have made the initial stages of our experience in the restaurant a little less of an endurance!

Gran lugar para una bebida y algunos sabores locales. Muchas noches tienen gran, bandas. Lugar lleno de diversión y beber. Se puede llenar en algunas noches, pero vale la pena una parada.

Nos encanta el Kilbroney y frecuentes para comida y bebidas regularmente, así cuando llegó a elegir un lugar para nuestros hijos comida bautizo reservamos aquí. Estábamos tan encantados que no como la comida, el servicio y el entorno eran simplemente perfecto! Las camareras eran muy complacientes incluso entretener a nuestros niños a veces y nada! La comida estaba deliciosa y varios de nuestros clientes nos dijeron que van a volver muy pronto para probar más del extenso menú! Mi padre toca música tradicional irlandesa en el bar cada domingo por la noche con un grupo de músicos y cantantes talentosos fantásticamente y todos son bienvenidos - imperdible para cualquiera que no ha experimentado la más cálida de las bienvenidas el bar kilbroney ofrece a todos! No puedo esperar a volver muy pronto!

Tengo aviso al personal que un grupo de nosotros (quienes son veganos) quería reservar una mesa. El chef hizo por encima y más allá! Todavía estoy en shock! Lo preparó un banquete para nosotros! En el paraíso de comida vegetariana! ! ! 4 cursos! Cada uno mejor que el anterior. El servicio era increíble! El personal era atento y amable en todo fue rápido y sin problemas! Mejor comida jamás! Y he comido en algunos restaurantes increíbles 5*! ! ! Voy a ser despotricando sobre este por un tiempo! ! ! Sigan con el buen trabajo chicos! Yo sólo libro con ustedes a partir de ahora cuando quiero impresionar a mis amigos vegetariano! No puedo agradecer lo suficiente! !

Food was good but the service was very poor. Despite it being very busy the staff were happy to stand around talking to locals rather than provide service. Two extra drinks were never delivered to the table. Wouldn't return as it seems a place where being "in the know" gets you service.

We arrived around 2pm on a Tuesday and thankfully they were serving food. It is not an extensive menu but enough choice for us. He had 8oz steak sandwich and chunky chips. I had crispy garlic chicken with creamy garlic potatoes. Kiss me later!! He also had vegetable soup, thinking it was vegetable broth so on that count was disappointed. However. The soup and wheaten bread were delicious!! In fact, all the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff were delightful and very helpful. All in all, a lovely experience.

On a recent visit we found the food excellent and service superb. We had an evening special which was an 8oz sirloin with tomato and french fried onions, salad and choice of side order. We each chose the chips which were lovely and crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The steaks were cooked as requested and were juicy and very tasty. Presentation was wonderful and the waitress who served us brilliant. We have paid more in other establishments for one steak than for the two we had here with no difference in quality. We will return soon following our delightful experience.

Good,friendly and fast service. Atmosphere was excellent and some live music.Food was well presented and good sized portions. Wine list was adequate but concentrated on third world and less expensive wines.

I own a local B&B The Oystercatcher and send very many guests here. Very good reports and they all loved it. Plenty of tasty food and good value

Visited here on a Saturday evening with a group of friends. It was very lively with a good family atmosphere. The service from the start was very poor. Left to stand around and then a long time before drinks orders were taken. We actually thought they had forgotten about us and asked to be served. The food was excellent. I had the seafood chowder which was very tasty and served perfectly. This was followed by the sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly, medium rare as requested. Nice place let down by very slow service.

Really friendly bar with really great food. We were all very hungry after a day on our mountain bikes and they fed us really well. Great value for money and great quality food. Couldn't beat it.

I love Rostrevor it's nice sport for tourist too.. If will go again I will defiantly go to kilborney restaurant....

Excellent value for money...we couldn't finish our meals. The food was fantastic especially the garlic chicken. The service was very attentive. I would give 5 stars were it not for the fact the steak was definitely not medium rare however it was still ate and enjoyed. Plenty of sides and the sauté garlic potatoes were cooked to perfection and alone are worth a revisit. We will be back.

My wife and family , stopped in Rostrevor , while on a visit to the County Down coast . This restaurant is an excellent place to stop and eat in . First class food well presented , and the service and atmosphere was to a very high standard . If you are in the area please do not pass this venue , you will be well pleased with the food , service and friendly reception you receive .

Party of 6 Adults and one Child. Just walked in. We had the evening midweek menu 3 courses and half paid the Steak supplement which i think took the price from £12 to £15 ahead for the adults. The food was absolutely delicious the Service was very quick and efficient. Starters Mains and Deserts were all lovely. Beer and Wine also very good. Nice relaxed atmosphere would highly recommend.

The staff are friendly and attentive .the food is well presented down to earth Pub Grub.The atmosphere is pleasant ,can be a bit noisy late in the evening.Wine list very reasonably priced ,could serve a bit later in the evening .Overall great experience.

Booked a table and were lucky enough to get a window table.Staff are friendly. Think they forgot about taking our order but it was fine as we were not in a hurry.Had 12oz steak for £18.95 with mushroom, crispy onions and pepper sauce. Chips or champ was extra.Steak was lovely..very nicely cooked. We enjoyed our meal and would return.

We ate here last night as part of a family group and I could not fault anything........and the place was very busy.We made our selections from a set menu with plenty of choice. The food arrived promptly and everyone was delighted with their meal.Service was friendly and attentive and there was a great buzz in the bar after the meal.I will definitely be back in the Kilbroney Bar for food and would recommend it to anyone ;)

The Kilbroney does great food. I also love that they are one of the few pubs to offer a session that kicks off before 10pm. It is a great place for a drink with your mates. I highly recommend a visit if you are in Rostrevor.

Had a beautiful lunch in the Kilbroney . The Homemade lasagne was delicious and my friend who had the soup also said it was lovely Staff very friendly even put some bets on for the Grand National for us !! Will be back

Our trip Rostrevor to visit lost relations in Kilkeel, staying at the Sands Bed & Breakfast, had to find place to have dinner and found the Kilbroney bar which had a nice seafood chowder , fish and chips, a good Irish pub.

Great steak special for two and very reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and the bar had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. This is a great place to have dinner or just to go for a drink.

On point! No room for improvement needed here. Found at the foot of the mountain, a steakhouse that would rival any! Cracking menu and smashing staff to cater yr every need. Tick that box ASAP.

This is a lovely little place, in a beautiful setting. There is a play park nearby, and a walk in the park which is beautiful. Good food at a good price!

Family of 4. 2 adults and 2 kids. Ordered our drinks then food. 45 minute wait. Husbands sauce was stone cold had to return. My veg were so hard I think they possibly still raw.. soup was like dirty dish water.. For the price we paid.. defo not worth it.Have to day staff were fantastic.. the poor girl looked so deflated when we sent things back. We know it wasnt her fault. You cant put prices up if food dies not reflect the hike!!!

A cozy restaurant with good beer. My husband had a nice chicken and couscous meal. I enjoyed a hearty steak sandwich.

The bar runs into the dining area but it doesn't seem to matter. England were playing Wales on the TV but that didn't seem to matter much either. Service was good and the food well prepared and presented. My sea bass on a risotto was excellent and risotto is a good test of a good chef this was a very good risotto. A party of 7 well catered and cared for.

Excellent Irish pub with restaurant. Food very good at reasonable prices. Fantastic Irish Folk music at the weekends. We went here a couple of times.

Je kan een tafel kiezen in het pub- of restaurantgedeelte, maar omdat het best nog vroeg was kozen we voor een tafeltje bij het raam in de pub. Ondanks dat ik twijfelde over een wokgerecht (we zitten in een Ierse pub) koos ik toch voor de roerbakschotel met kip, de echtgenoot ging voor de steak. We hebben beide heel erg lekker gegeten, en ik durf zelfs stellen dat de wokschotel de lekkerste is die ik ooit heb gegeten! Ondanks dat we beide grote porties hadden gekregen, heb ik toch nog een dessert besteld. De profiteroles met ijs en chocoladesaus werden opgediend met twee lepels (pluspunt!) maar sloeg tegen. Op zich niets op aan te merken, maar het was enorm middelmatig van smaak. Misschien hadden we te grote verwachtingen?

Trivelig sted å spise ,de serverer både god lunch og god middag. Noen ganger er det tradmusikk her. Kommer tilbake hit neste år .

Lovely food and plenty of it! Great to have the free WiFi. Staff so helpful and didn't mind me nursing coffee after my lunch while I worked on my laptop.

From the moment you walk in the door of this quaint bar, tou get the feeling of people havinf the craic. We were running slighty late, but they fitted us in, and definitely made us welcome. The staff were friendly and informative, and the menu was tantalising, and the food more than matched expectations. Infact, it was among the best I've ever tasted, both in quality and quantity, and when presented with the bill, I was again surprised at the value for money. Definitely a place that we will be revisiting

Call in last night on a whim and was delighted to get a seat sighing half an hour without having a reservation. The food ad always, was excellent. Attentive service too, but that's always the case. I love this place.

More like a small place to get something to eat or drink when you are out in Kilbroney Park, very basic and simple.

We had lunch at this Pub with friends on a recent visit to the area. The Pub has a great atmosphere and very friendly service. All the food we had was excellent. The portion sizes were very generous and the food quality was extremely good. Two of us had burgers and they were made with extremely lean meat. One of us had a steak sandwich and it was literally a complete steak in a sandwich, huge! Thoroughly recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised by the great menu and the recently updated decor. The food was excellent, and we enjoyed sticking around for the session. It really seemed like a convivial local place.

We went here twice for evening meals whilst staying in Rostrevor. The food was good and the staff very friendly, hence why we returned for the second time.

It's high level bar food or medium level restaurant food, but dependable and decent value for money.

I visited the Kilbroney on the Sunday night of the Mayday Bank Holiday with my wife, brother,and sister in law. We were staying in caravans in the nearby Kilbroney Park. We just had a few drinks, no food, but the craic was excellent with a traditional Irish music sesson in full flow. The music was great but not domineering and there was none of this hushing people to be quiet to accommodate singers which can sometimes happen in places where music is being played. Excellent value for money, friendly staff and a great friendly atmosphere and well worth a visit.

We visited on a Friday where they are currently having a steak special of two 10oz Sirloin steaks with chips and onion rings. They didn't mind substituting for a side salad. We ate in the bar area although the restaurant area is available. The bar area has a number of alcoves which adds to the ambience of the whole bar. Steak was cooked to order and was delicious.

A very good value place, local and lively. Very popular - the downstairs restaurant area was quiet and relaxed.

Had an enjoyable evening meal by an open fire. Food was very good. however as all the restaurant tables had been booked up, we sat in the bar section at two adjoining tables on either side of the passageway. Still the food was worth the wait and next time we will remember to book a table!
