Fantastic meal, food so good. Staff lovely, really enjoyed our night out.

Food was good as Indian's go but for 2 people 4 courses 3 soft drinks over £75 ......never again

Really disappointed in our carry out meal. We always, always go to the Kyber for Indian food, Glengormley & Galgorm. The hubbys Jalfrezi wasnt nice, not a lot of taste, different from the usual & my chicken tikka mossala was over powered with coconut, & the peshwari nan was way too dry, very little flavour. Onion bhakti was like rubber, very bland. Sorry to say we won’t be back. ☹️

This Indian Restaurant is just wonderful. It has to be up there with being one of the best Indian Restaurant in Northern Ireland. The food, service and atmosphere were brilliant. Maybe a bit expensive, but Indian food in general can be pricey and you get what you pay for. The service was just wonderful, especially the two girls who were very friendly and helpful. Definitely be back

Attentive staff. Good food well prepared.

We have visited here regularly for the past nearly 10 years and absolutely love it. We live in Bushmills and would take the drive to here as nothing else compares. We stumbled across it from visiting the galgorm regular. We would often stay at the galgorm but come here for an Indian ! The very best Indian around ! Highly recommended

The beer was warmer than my starter, curry was like stew rice was like something out of a packet, staff need to get customer service training, hovering round to get your plate away, they never come near us and asked was everything OK didn't even ask did we want salt or vinegar for the chips, absolute joke for the price of the food

Food not good. Staff unprofessional! No interest in listening to customer complaints. Abrupt and confrontational.

As a regular customer I am usually extremely happy with the food in the Khayber. However, tonight we placed an order of £105 for a family event and three dishes with chicken were inedible. The chicken tasted, smelt off and when cut in to was half while/ half grey. However the food is not what this complaint is mainly based on. I tried to phone to discuss this issue with a member of staff and was told he would pass it on to the manager and the chefs but that there had been no other complaints. Frustrated with his disregard for my complaint, I drove to the restaurant to speak to manager myself. When greeted by a man I asked to speak to the manager, the same man that had spoken to me on the phone less than 10 minutes ago and told me he would speak to the manager, now told me is in the manager and wouldn’t let me speak to anyone else. He refused to listen to me, trying to interrupt me on numerous occasions. When he opened the tray, the smell of off chicken was obvious but he refused to acknowledge it. He then went to the tell the chef and came back with other chicken for me to eat, which I kindly declined. I explained to him that the fact that he is not listening to a paying customer is disgraceful and he then said he would eat the chicken, as if to mock my complaint. This is absolutely disgraceful and disappointing of the Khayber. We will never set foot in it again and will be extremely surprised if we are not all sick as a result of this. The lack of consideration for customers is appalling.

Outstanding food, great staff Well worth a visit

All I can say is excellent, excellent, excellent, food was to die for, service second to none, atmosphere brilliant, and the chef went all out to make my husband a takeaway curry that wasn't on the extensive menu, hubby dosent do eating out, he said best curry ever, highly highly recommend the khyber galgorm.

From calling in my order to getting it at the takeaway was almost an hour and a half , though people i was talking to in the waiting area said it wasn't usualy like that , usualy about 20 minutes wait , the onion bhaji were cold and oily , main course was good , Plenty of chicken .

Excellent Restaurant with excellent food, great atmosphere with very helpful and very friendly staff. We had a dinner with friends for 6 people. The seating is wonderfully laid out with a great atmosphere. The food was superb, but i also have to mention the staff who really were excellent. Really going above duty to be very helpful and accommodating to everybody's needs

customer service leaves a lot to be desired never mind the food. the man taking the orders at the takeaway needs to learn some manners. just grunts. saw him argue with a customer over his order. gave my order to someone else and said that is what they had ordered. hadn't a clue and the prices are far higher than other places. we usually go to a carryout 30 miles away for an indian but as we were driving past thought we would try here. big mistake. would have saved money driving the 30 miles including fuel costs. first time i ever have had a chicken tikka dish that is cream in colour. both dishes were bland. one piece of pepper in each dish. for the price of £29.75 for two mains with nan and i portion of pilau rice i won't be back even if someone else is paying

We live on the north coast and can hand on heart say this is best curry house by far! We would always call here if we are Ballymena or Belfast direction. The restaurant manager is incredible and super friendly and welcoming. He always remembers us and has a smile whenever we visit. The La jabab is absolutely fantastic, we always have lamb tikka as the meat. Its always hot, fresh and delicious. We have never had a bad meal from here. Its a hidden gem!

This was the best Indian meal I have had in Northern Ireland in a long time. Opting for the vegetable biriyani, I was not disappointed. Fresh vegetables and not too greasy. Excellent flavours. Asked for the sauce madras hot and this was accommodated! Service was very good and good value as well,

I have eaten Butter Chicken all around the world. It is a mildly spiced delicious curry. We went there tonight and I was looking forward to my favourite dish. At least it used to be. When it came it was very red. Not the usual colour. It was so hot I could hardly speak.. So overspiced. I called the waitress over and said I thought that the dish was quite mellow usually but this was far too hot. She said there had been complaints earlier and wondered if it had been the wrong dish She went back to kitchen and the male came out. He asked if I ever had it before. When I said yes, he asked if I'd had it there. Seemingly that's how they made it there. He snatched it away and came back with it mixed with something but it was horrible. So sickly sweet. I told him that. He asked if I wanted to take it home. I told him definitely not. The full dish was left behind. Never be back. Their attitude was stinking. Just like their Butter Chicked

The three of us each thought that our food tasted amazing. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Portion sizes were generous. Gluten free food was easily obtained. Would definitely go again.

Very disappointed ordered last night for the first time I would usually get a Sanjhas however this time i thought I would give the kyber a try £30 and we could only eat one of the meals as the other was horrible korma was watery and un flavourful and the prawns were tiny and they didn't even devein them I dont think I will return

Deserves more than 5 stars. Food is absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, truly wonderful grub. There is no better food on offer that I know of. Highly recommended a visit here, you wont be disappointed.

Excellent Indian Restaurant This is very much Gold Standard Indian Cuisine. As a past official reviewer for 'The Good Curry Guide' it is fair then, to say I know my curry and Indian food in general. This food quality is kept high by the skills of the Head Chef Yousef. I have mentioned the food quality and choice previously and it is still consistantly high quality. The service is friendly and very good, with restaurant staff going the extra mile to make your visit special. Managed by Larsen who has very high expectations in terms of service standards. The general atmosphere is relaxed and we did not feel rushed, as can sometimes be the case in other restaurants. Once tried you will more likely become a frequent diner, like us.

If you like Indian food you need to try the Khayber Galgorm, food is amazing, very friendly and attentive staff make it the complete dining experience.

Excellent takeaway food the standard is always excellent and service with a smile. Ease.of parking to the side is a bonus. Really is an outstanding standard of Indian food.

Visited on Wednesday evening with my wife we were warmly greeted and shown to our table There is an extensive menu suitable for all persons gluten vegetarian etc and is child friendly Our own personal meals were full of flavour Lamb and chicken Balti served quickly and professionally by courteous friendly staff I throughly recommend this Indian restaurant

Excellent DEFINITELY worth a visit

Carry out only at min as is everywhere else of course but the food is very good and the system to keep us all apart is working well

Love the food and we got a bargain 3 course lunch for £8.95

Booked online for the lunch menu which stated was available on Saturday. However, on arrival we were given Al a Carte Menu, on questioning we were told the ‘boss’ had made changes and not yet updated online information. Disappointing considering we had booked in advance and online.

4 adults and one child came for the lunch time menu of 3 courses and arrived to a friendly greeting. We ordered an onion bhagee and 3 chicken pakoras which were delicious. Then between us we ordered Chicken Korma, Chicken Punjabi Masala and Lamb Bhuna. I asked for my dish to be extra hot and that wasn't a problem. We sampled each others dishes and each of them were cooked beautifully and were delicious. Garlic naan bread was also lovely. We then had the ice cream and coffee. All in all it was a delicious meal with good service. Very pleased.

Lovely meal, great service, all courses well timed, no messing about, just quality from start to finish. I highly recommend The Khayber for the best in Indian Cuisine. This is a very nice Restaurant with lovely relaxing surroundings and ambiance. We had The Early Bird Menu, which was in my opinion, very decent value for money, can't recommend this place enough, its exactly what a good classy restaurant should be.

One of the nicest Indian restaurants I have ever been too! Immediately felt welcomed from the minute we walked through the door. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was superb. Highly recommend.

The Khayber is an amazing restaurant - the staff are so lovely and accommodating every time I’ve been in, the food is outstanding and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant is simply wonderful! The Takeaway is also a very good service, however I’ve only used it a couple of times as I prefer to sit in the restaurant to eat. I will always go back to the Khayber when I’m fancying a good Indian meal!

I am at pains to write this review as I frequently dine at the excellent Glemgormley restaurant, where I find the food extremely authentic and well spiced.However, my wife and I were in Ballymena at lunchtime today and decided to get a takeaway from the Khayber in Galgorm for our tea.We do this every now and again if we are in a hurry from the Glengormley restaurant and are never disappointed with the quality and taste of the food.I have to say that today's food was extremely bland, under spiced and lacking any flavour. The peshwari naan was extremely lacking the coconut filling and was actually more akin to an ordinary plain naan. I should stress that there was nothing wrong with the quality of the ingredients and cooking of the special Royal Khazana main course, but just that the underseasoning and bland flavour was hugely disappointing.we have eaten at the Galgorm restaurant on many occasions, particularly when Rajish worked there, as he always looked after us, as we had built up a relationship from his days at Glengormley. To be honest, we always felt that the Galgorm food to be less authentic and less to our taste than Glengormley, but we always like to support the owners.Anyhow, on past experiences at Galgorm and our disappointment at today's offering, we won't be back there. it suits many people of course, but we are used to and enjoy more flavoursome Indian food.

The food in The Khayber is extremely delicious, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the waiter that took our order was called Larcn, he was very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. The ambiance was calm and relaxed and the hygiene was also excellent. The Khayber get a 5 star rating from me and I can't wait to return.

We called for a meal midweek and found the restaurant quite busy. I’m not surprised as the whole experience was excellent from start to finish! First class food and service!! Larson was super attentive, without being over the top! Wee bit expensive but then you get what you pay for. Can only say we can’t wait to return.

Saturday night treat for the family. The service was first class, so genuine and so helpful. A truly welcoming and friendly restaurant. Felt relaxed immediately and enjoyed the calm but efficient service. The food was served promptly and the taste was fantastic.

Extremely small tandoori chicken on bone starter, didn't know you could get chicken this small!. Lamb in balti was tender this time but sauce was bland and the nann was burnt black. Too expensive for the quality .Third time unlucky won't go back again.

Visited this restaurant without pre-booking. Broad ranging menu and food was very good. Service very attentive and personable. Would definitely recommend if looking for a good Indian restaurant or takeaway in ballymena.

Came recommended from a colleague. The early bird menu is priced well but the main menu is quite expensive for what you get. I had lamb tikka to start which was very tough and bordering on burnt. The main was chicken tikka chilli masala which wasnt as hot as the menu suggested and contained a lot of coconut. It was ok but wouldnt have it again.

Food was good and so were settings. The drawback was the price and staff. When ordering we specifically asked what came with the meal and were told either rice, naan bread or chips. Nothing about them being over and above the meal. When our bill came we were charged for 2 bottles of wine although we only had 1. The naan bread was all charged separately. When we queried this the guy dealing with it was quite nasty. We had to stand our ground to get the bill changed. We were not wanting something for nothing but it was not an experience which would make me rush back.

We made it just as the restaurant was closing in the afternoon - but the manager very kindly stayed to serve us - as my dad really craved some spicy food! And thank heavens because the meal was delicious. The right level of spice and flavours. Highly recommend this place. Very good value for money too.

We are regulars at The Khayber Indian Restaurant in Galgorm. We have taken many friends there, all have been very complimentary about the food.

The restaurant exudes a feeling of tranquility and is very atmospheric, immediately you get a feeling of well being and "yes I want to be here". The menu is extensive and varied, the service and staff are excellent paying due attention but without being intrusive or hurrying, the main waiter saw us taking photos (there were 4 of us) and offered without prompting or asking if we wanted him to take one of us all, a nice touch! Then the food, I have not been one for Indian food but was absolutely amazed at the choices we made and the variation in taste of all the dishes we had. Would I go back there, ABSOLUTELY!!

Normally love this Indian however tonight's takeaway was terrible, a lamb dopiaza that was cream in colour and tasted of nothing. And a chicken bhuna that looked the same as the dopiaza and again tasted like nothing. Extremely disappointed

As a group of twelve we ate in this restaurant a few days ago. Every dish that was presented was excellent and every one at the table enjoyed their meal. The staff was both friendly and attentive a special thank you to Raj who is an asset to this restaurant also a guy (sorry don’t know his name) that had a wonderful smile. Some of our party were visitors I was very pleased we had chosen this restaurant and would highly recommend this restaurant.

I have just left from a lunch at this restaurant and I am completely shocked to say the least.

Food is good staff is not great walking about on there phones and playing videos full volume and not polite at all so recommend if ur only looking good food and not cared about the service.

We visit occasionally at lunchtime. The food is delicious, nicest Indian restaurant however the service is extremely poor in respect of friendliness & manners...it is the only thing that lets it down otherwise it would be 5*

This is the second time I have had a curry brought home to me from this place all u taste in a chicken and lamb Madras is the taste of lemon absolutely disgusting think Aggie should sit down and have one then take bottle lemon juice off the so called chef hope u gives me a reply which I'm sure he not
