The Jolly Coopers in Epsom and Ewell

A first time diner, eating a Sunday lunch and wish I had eaten here before having lived in the area for two years. Food was incredible and very good value for the quality. Quite simply the best roast dinner I've had out in years. All fresh ingredients and lovely flavours. Very friendly service and great atmosphere. Churros were delightful for desert and beer choice excellent. I will be back to work though the rest of the menu, very soon! A hidden gem off the beaten track.

The most INCREDIBLE roast. Absolutely delicious and we all cleared our plates. The specials board is always so unique and impressive. Staff so friendly and attentive. Thank you all. Love having you so local ☺️

Late lunch on a quiet afternoon, newcomer to the area, exploring Epsom pubs. Great little pub, excellent service, micro brewery beer excellent, we will become regulars as we settle in to Epsom. Cheers Tony

Great Sunday Dinners with Yorkshire Pudding as big as your face :)

Absolutely lovely visit to The Jolly Coopers! Great atmosphere, fabulous food and charming and helpful staff. Can’t wait to visit again.

Eight of us had Sunday Lunch. Our first visit. Great, square table so no we could all join in the conversation. Food excellent. All of us had starters. Sweet potato soup was fab as was the Bang Bang broccoli. Huge Yorkshire Puddings, lovely roast potatoes, beef & port was delicious. Sadly no cauliflower cheese which is a great shame - maybe consider introducing this? Vegetarian option is limited - only vegetarian sausages option for Sunday lunch - maybe add cauliflower cheese then, that would be a winner. Great service and staff team were at pains to see that we had all we wanted & more despite a full resturant. Great local, independent pub with onsite brewery. Would deffo recommend a visit, especially if you add cauliflower cheese to your Sunday lunch menu.

The Jolly Coopers is amazing. It stands head and shoulders above other local pubs. The staff are super friendly, the beers are varied and all good and the food is really super. Oh, and a great atmosphere.

We had a family lunch here in December. The staff were welcoming & the food tasty. My husband enjoyed the beer from the micro brewery on site & we will probably return for drinks & a snack next year when the weather is better so we can sit on the patio.

Our group of 10 enjoyed he Christmas party menu. The portions were generous, the food was tasty and we really appreciated the table configuration, with 3 seats on each side and 2 seats on each end. So much better for catching up with people than a long narrow table! Will be booking our xmas get together at the Jolly Coopers next year as well!

We popped in post recent refurb to support the team, grab a bit of lunch and take the opportunity to introduce our new puppy to pub life. a) the place looks fantastic! Very warm, cosy and inviting. b) service with a smile and prompt. c) Good beer - Ranmore ale was my choice today. d) DELICIOUS fish and chips with a chorizo starter and sticky toffee pudding with a perfect flat white to follow up. A credit to the wonderful chef. e) puppy was a bit yappy as people entered and left. The team and the friendly locals were very understanding as we tried to boost the pups confidence. f) We are looking forward to more puppy socialisation sessions at the Jolly Coopers (any excuse to go there! :)). f) Thank you team.

Went today to see the new refurbishment and try the new menu ..Wow! it looks so much better , cosy and friendly ambiance and food to die for. We went for a late lunch and were totally looked after from start to finish. The food was outstanding, honestly the best food I've ever had in a pub , its in a class of its own . This town is lucky to have this hidden gem ,so please go and support them because it's rare to find a place with not one fault. A happy place indeed for any age group . Can't wait to return

Excellent service from friendly server Tristan. We had the fish and chips and the Seafood Linguine. Both very tasty and the Fish and chips were huge portion size! Desert's were also very tasty, albeit on the pricey side though the Apple and Strawberry Crumble were alsoo very generous 😋 This is a dog friendly pub, with the restaurant area separate from the bar. A good range of beers many of which are from they're own micro brewery. Recommend the 'Entagled' pale ale though served a bit colder than I would expect for an Ale. Nice ambience in the bar and overall, a great experience and we will return again. Highly recommended 👍🏻

First visit to 'The Jolly Coopers' after a Google search to find a good Sunday roast! The reviews were really good so hubby and I thought we'd give it a go! Staff were super friendly, drinks came quickly and so did the food! We chose the mixed roast which consisted of a lamb shank, roast pork and roast beef. The plate of food was huge but the Yorkshire pudding was even bigger! The food was delicious and we will definitely be going back!

Food was fine, service good, it did lack atmosphere and could do with better wines selection. I would go back, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

We booked the table for 5 people at around 12:30, however we got there 10 minutes early and the staff had the table all ready for us, happy for us to take a seat. The restaurant was very clean and had lovely decorations around the place to make it look more homely like a fireplace and lovely light decorations. When we got the food, it was gorgeous and was perfectly cooked. I had a Sunday lamb shank for the roast, and the portion size was huge but brilliant. The Yorkshire pudding was so soft and delicious that I wanted more. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was good, and they weren't rushing us with our food. When we wanted to pay, they were very happy to let us split the bill three ways, which was lovely Now the negatives, sadly. First, there weren't many parking spaces available for the public, which was difficult. Secondly, because it was a freezing cold day, for some reason, they had the back door open, which was not good for all of us. Thirdly, where we were seated, there were huge windows that were letting sunlight through mostly blinding me as they didn't have any blinds or net curtains. Lastly, with the staff, they were quite slow with service, which was a bit disappointing as we were all extremely hungry. Overall, I would definitely suggest this place for Sunday roast if you are ok with waiting a bit longer than normal for your food.

Can’t do better in the area. Great staff, lovely atmosphere, superb food and always feel welcome. One of the few pubs I’ve been in years where you get to know the staff and regulars. Cracking beer garden out back too. A real hidden gem with a lovely stout option other than Guinness.

After so many years of living in the area we are ashamed to say this was our first visit, attracted by the microbrewery. It was a glorious day and we sat in the patio area at the back. It's a varied menu with generous portions, so much so that our shared camembert and nachos almost filled us up. The CFC burger was enormous (fried chicken), tasty though. Not sure about the hash brown in the middle, novel though! We had been tempted with the daily specials but in the end all settled for the main menu. Great place, in a quiet corner at the back of Epsom. We'll be back!

Two of us had chicken on the bone Korma with Saffron rice. It was superb. Flavours in everything. Faultless

I had a fantastic Sunday lunch at Coopers with my husband this past weekend. Our server, Gabby was absolutely fantastic. The kitchen was a bit swiped so we told we would need to wait for mains. So we ordered Olives and bread to snack on. Well I am so glad it was busy as otherwise I would not have ordered the Olives. I haven't had such good Olives in many years wow!!!!!! In the end our main meals didn't take too long and we enjoyed the sun and atmosphere of the courtyard. I had the seafood linguine which was delicious and fresh. Not creamy which was such a lovely change. My husband had the korma chicken which was also a real treat! I would 100% recommend coming to enjoy a meal at this fine establishment.

Lovely flavoursome and interesting beers, such a treat for the beer lovers. When we stepped through the door we were greeted by a young man who made us feel very welcome and this friendliness by all the staff continued throughout the service. Food was lovely. Can't wait to come back again. Well done to everyone.

Food here is excellent- good portion size. My daughter and I enjoyed the moules-frites. Service was polite and attentive, until the end when it took a while to pay the bill. One thing that spoilt the evening a bit was the noise of other diners in large groups. At times, I could hardly hear others on my table speak. Not relaxing.

It’s a strange atmosphere as you feel like you’re in an old school dinning room in my opinion, I much prefer eating in the bar or the garden to be honest. Food was good, however the chicken tenders came with drizzle on them which in my opinion was overpowering and would have preferred to have had them in the side so I could choose how much to add. Surprised that they didn’t have any sour cream when asked if we’d like any sources as two of our dishes came with tortillas/nachos, but overall good quality and nicely put together.

Great service in a lovely family and dog friendly pub. The Sunday roast was a hit, with Yorkshire puds the size of your head! A delish sirloin roast with proper veggies. The seafood linguine absolutely hit the spot, not creamy, not tomatoey, but really delicious. Top that off with great, friendly service, and it’s well worth a visit!

The live singer was far too loud and actually not very good - I will need to check first that there is no live music next time before booking!

We hadn't booked a table (3 adults) on a Saturday lunchtime and were seated immediately. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and treated us with care throughout our visit. There were multiple vegetarian options, brilliant specials to choose from. Alcohol free drinks choices and even a small dog menu which was very sweet! Our food arrived really quickly and was hot and fresh and tasted amazing and portion sizes were more than enough! Although it was raining there was a beautiful garden out the back, the inside was spacious and although it was relatively busy whilst we were there we still felt like we had privacy during our visit. We will definitely visit again if we're in the area, thank you to all the staff at the Jolly Cooper's Pub ☺️

Really nice pub, with great food, drink and service. Great Sunday roast, especially the trio of meats, with huge Yorkshires!! Their dog friendly inside and outside I believe, and being so close to Epsom/Ashtead common, a great place to stop after a walk. Can even order your furry baby a little roast dinner of their own. Monday nights are pizza nights with the Dough boys bringing their awesome pizza van.

Food and venue very good. Overall staff were friendly and attentive, although they seemed peeved we needed a high chair, despite asking for one on the booking and told we couldn't reserve one.

Visited this pub with a craving for some fish and chips after a small hike in the park, but they ran out at just after 2pm. I was disappointed. I ended up getting the double chicken burger instead, which was really good. For dessert i had the apple and berry crumble. It was ok. It didn't seem to have much apple init, as I mostly tasted berries and I would have preferred the ice cream on the side. The crumble on top was good though. The staff were nice and friendly. Nice pub to relax in after a walk in the area. I would visit again and hopefully arrive in time for the fish 😉.

It was a lovely sunny day so sat out in the back garden. Nice atmosphere once it started to fill up. Our four meals were all good and we couldn't fault the service and the attentiveness of the staff, they were all very pleasant. The Jolly Cooper is a real old pub and we will be back for sure.

We had an excellent Sunday roast at “The Jolly Coopers Pub” today. There was a variety of cooked vegetables, a very generous serving of meat, tasty gravy and a massive Yorkshire pudding.We enjoyed every mouthful and plan to return soon. As well as the delicious food we also appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the prompt service. We also enjoyed the music playing softly in the background and the tastefully decorated surroundings. Highly recommended!

Excellent Sunday Roasts although a touch on the expensive side (my lamb shank was £25). However it was up there with my best ever so I can't complain too much. :-)

This was our first visit today for lunch we were meet by very polite staff and shown to our table. We were given time to look at the menus and our order was taken. All four meals were were presented very well and cooked just as we had asked for. The overall experience was very good with good friendly staff
