The Jetty in Christchurch

A fantastic lunch celebrating our wedding anniversary. Lovely table for 4 overlooking the harbour. Delicious cheese soufflé yo start, followed by 4 different fish dishes all super tasty - the chocolates were a lovely touch too. Thank you to Daniel and the rest of the team in the kitchen for a wonderful lunch

Once again, great service and excellent food. Served by Andre and his colleagues , The restaurant was full but the staff are up together and so is the kitchen.

This was our first visit to The Jetty and definitely will not be the last! A fantastic dining experience - great food, excellent service all round but our waitress Amelia deserves a specific mention. Not to mention a delightful waterside location. Can't recommend it enough.

Stayed in the Habour hotel and had one meal here which was fabulous. Setting was gorgeous too. Went with two children who ate very well off the kids menu and a la carte menu. Super

We had a fantastic meal as usual at The Jetty, excellent food and excellent service, our waitress Amelia was very polite, very helpful and friendly and good fun.

This was such a disappointment. A 70th birthday so very special occasion. We had heard such good reviews and we had tried it before we booked so we were deeply upset by the whole experience. The food was not good. My halibut was small, dry and overcooked. I know I could have cooked it better. I had three tiny pieces of potato, two stems of broccoli and nonexistent jerusalem artichoke puree. I had asked for the sauce to be served separately and this arrived when I had finished. It was horrible. The scallops were overcooked in a starter and everything was just average. I will never eat there again. It was an expensive mistake booking there and for a restaurant of its supposed standing I cannot believe how poor it was. Just to top it off the owner parked his posh car right across two disabled parking bays. How arrogant and selfish especially as I had to park at the front of the hotel with my blue badge.

First time going to this wonderful venue, and it definitely was worth the drive! I visited with two of my forever friends - we were all celebrating March Birthdays within days of each other, and it was one of my friends 'Special Birthday' so what a perfect choice! We had a lovely view and Daniel (and the entire Team) were really lovely and attentive throughout our visit. The food was to die for - hats off to the incredible chefs - and to our utter surprise, the three of us were given a wonderful Birthday treat! Thank you so much for the thoughtful and very generous touch! We will most definitely visit again. . . Such a lovely place!

Delicious food with a very attentive waitress called Amelia who was friendly and helpful, also with a knowledgeable wine waiter who knew is wines and after lunch liqueurs (grappa) . Due to our wedding anniversary celebration, they did a lovely chocolate piped message with some little treats on the side. The edge of the harbour is only 10 feet from your table so some very nice views of Christchurch Harbour and Hengistbury Head. I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. A passing note, the toilets were well stocked including lovely smelling hand soap and hand lotion, also very clean and smelling of roses.

Excellent service from Daniel. The food was fantastic as usual. The fish is always fresh. The staff give you a great welcome when you arrive. This is my favourite restaurant in Dorset! The set menu was great value for money. A lovely Easter treat!

Lovely Easter Sunday lunch, fantastic setting and high quality food. We were made to feel very welcome by our waiter Daniel who looked after us very well.

went for lunch on Easter Saturday ,our Golden Wedding anniversary. Food beautifully cooked and presented. Service by Daniel was perfect, credit to restaurant. Setting perfect. The only drawback which was no fault of the staff was being seated next to a group of people who felt the need to shout so loudly at each other we could not hear each other at all, their self-entitled opinions and derogatory comments spoke volumes. Marred an otherwise special time and memory.

We had a fantastic taster menu all courses were an absolute delight. Service was spot on too and wonderful views over the harbour.

Arrived on Easter Monday with my family for a birthday treat, so looking forward to this I had heard so many good comments on here. But soon ended up disappointed as we were stood by the bar waiting to be seated not to be acknowledged, we were finally acknowledged after what seemed like 15 minutes but realistically it was probably 10 minutes, we were taken to our table which was lovely, it was very loud in there as some big groups which was nice to see a restaurant busy, but you couldn't hear what people were saying at the table, we were told there was only 4 oysters left, nobody came back to take drinks for 20 minutes in the end I went up and asked if we could reserve the 4 oysters that were left and asked if we could order drinks, the waiter followed me to the table and proceeded with the drink order only for us to chase where are drinks were 20 minutes later, not a great start, we finally ordered starters and mains for them to come up minus 1 starter, so had to find out what happened, so 1 of our party had to eat starters on there own, which was not great, thought oh well mains should be good, I had already informed them I had a cheese allergy, and had ordered steak, which comes with a salad then added chips, all meals came out, 2 hours later from being seated they looked superb, my steak was lovely, then I noticed on the salad there was cheese, again had to find a member of staff as there was no check backs at all, explained they then proceeded to cook another steak, ( which I received once the party had all eaten)which again was cooked to perfection and when I finished they brought me out the chips to go with it, for a restaurant which implies they are 5 star today was very poor. When you have prawns to start no fingers bowls, no check backs on meals, have to get up to find staff to get a drink, this was no way 5 star service.left very disappointed. After the mistakes with starters and mains the whole party decided not to have desserts. And unfortunately ruined my birthday which should of been an excellent day. We went to the upper deck for drinks 30 minutes before our meal and they could not do enough for us, so as you can imagine with the Jetty having a better rating I was expecting more from them. I can not agree with The Jetty having a better rating as the upper deck were far more attentive and customer based.

Excellent as always. Superb friendly service from Daniel and all the staff. Good food which is no easy task on Easter Sunday..will be back again.
