The Hogget in Hart

My husband and I are regulars. So much so that we feel like we're part of the family 🤣 Absolutely love Jake and the team, they are so accommodating, super friendly. Doesn't matter the time you go there is always a vibe. Delicious food, great selection of drinks (alcoholic and not), treats & water for the doggos. Could not recommend them more! You absolutely have to stop here even if it's just for a drink. You'll not be disappointed.

I was taken here for my birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. It's not the cheapest place, but it's worth the money. I would not hesitate in recommding the Hogget for a nice meal.

Superb spot, fine ales on tap, lovely cosy bar with such great staff, and the best burger I’ve had in years (The Hogfather 👍), what’s not to love?

First time in years I visited The Hogget, unfortunately the food was average. Calamari had soggy batter. Main course Chicken Chirizo again was OK. The bar staff were brilliant. Nice to enjoy dinner without shouting as atmosphere was relaxed.

Lovely pub with great service, table for nine and can honestly say it was all very good, great staff and good mix of music. Thanks, we will be back.🍻🥃🎂😁

We had a really good family meal here on Wednesday evening. The staff were lovely and weren't fazed about us not ordering until our last family member arrived, an hour late, due to an accident on the M3. All of our food was delicious and the bottle of wine was very reasonably priced. Although we don't live locally, we will definitely visit again when we are next meeting up with family.

Second visit here and this one didn't disappoint either. This time we had Sunday lunch I had leg of lamb and the other had the beef. Very good portion sizes with seasonal vegetables and of course Yorkshire puddings. Asked for extra gravy which of course was supplied. Try the home cooked pork scratching they are amazing too. Will be back for more soon.

Wonderful evening. Very helpful staff from ringing to book the table to leaving on the night. We all decided we would return in the new year so that says it all really. X

Just dropped in for couple pints of 49er...... great Ringwood pint with great table service. Booked a table for dinner this evening....another of my favourite chicken burgers and pint of fantastic Ringwood 49er. Top marks again to both kitchen and front of house. Thank you all, see you soon. My wife and I returned to eat last Tuesday (cheap ale night). We both chose Dirty Chicken Burgers which proved possibly the best burgers we've had! This is a super pub. The staff are attentive and warm. The food was served promptly, and the atmosphere was great. There's a huge car park and the toilets are very clean.

Madeline and Alice were on shift when I came in stinking of hunger and tiredness. Made suggestions from the menu and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Great friendly atmosphere to wind down after a long day!

Four of us visited The Hogget last Friday for a meal. We waited over 45minutes for our starters. My friend thought his Calamari were inedible. We then had to endure another excessive wait for our burgers. When they came, they were very underwhelming. Two slivers of beef patties inside a burger bun that was stuffed with a wet mushroom and other indescribable items! The chips were OK, albeit a paltry amount served in a tin mug. The best part of the meal was the dessert! We won't be rushing back.

We knew it was popular when the car park filled quickly ! Lovely lunch - light vibes available - homemade ! Very good - thoroughly recommend !

Visited as a party of 3. Ordered Sunday roast and a round of drinks. Drinks arrived quickly and then we waited ages for the food to arrive. When the food arrived they had missed one of the roasts so one member had to wait even longer. We had to ask for cutlery and no one returned to ask if anyone wanted sauces with their meal. We were then offered if we would like to see the dessert menu. We again waited ages for anyone to return to take the order. It was then another long wait for it to arrive. The poor service and timing means we will never return, which is a shame as the food was OK. Luckily there are lots of options for eating out in the area for us to choose from.

Met friends there for lunch on Thursday. Large carpark, noticed on the way in there are some pods in the garden that look to be a new addition. Ringwood bitter for me they also have a good menu. Service was excellent and we will be going back again in the very near future.

Stopped for a family lunch on our way to Millers Ark Farm. We got a very warm welcome. Kids and adults all had burgers which were really tasty and cooked to perfection.. Also the halloumi soldiers were delicious. Lovely staff friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault it - only wish we lived nearer and could go more often. Thanks for your lovely service

If you ever go near the Hogget you've got to pull in !!! It's was out first visit today and wow !!! Absolutely blown away from the greeting to the service to the meal !!! Absolutely amazing!! And also dog friendly and very very clean everywhere!! We certainly enjoyed our visit.

Booked a table last minute for a family catch up and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive without intruding. The food was lovely with something for everyone, the portions were generous and everyone enjoyed the meal. We also had our dog with us and The Hogget has water bowls and pots of dog treats for the dogs and we’re happy to bring water for the dog to the table. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved it, first visit although we've lived in hook 6 years.

Great venue by the river. The food was excellent but could only be ordered at the bar when you sat outside. The was very understaffed and hence always involved a 10 minute wait, which was very good for a business lunch meeting.

What a great find, we were staying at tylney hall and stumbled upon this place. Greeted with a smile from a young girl who had a long blond plait and honestly from start to finish she was so helpful. Great food and service and the pods were a extra special touch.
