The Harbourfront Bistro in Isle of Anglesey

Hadn’t booked before we went in on the off chance , the main man did try to find us an available spot but it was fully booked , we were walking back to the car when he came out and said he could fit us in a previous booking was late , excellent food , all the staff were brilliant, fantastic setting , would definitely be going back

What a hidden gem! This place was absolutely amazing, the decor was lovely and the food was out of this world. Definitely recommend trying here. Staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We had 6 small plates to share and we were filled to the brim. I highly recommend the meatballs they were fantastic! Definitely will be visiting again! Amazing😍

We had the harbour front burger - freshly made and very tasty, came with mixed salad, fries and coleslaw. The hosts are lovely people, very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Music was great

We were recommended by a couple of friends and we were not disappointed . The welcome 🙏 we got was great and the way forward for the rest of the evening.We were told straight away what wasn’t available and the specials of the evening. The fresh crab 🦀 salad 🥗 I had was delicious.My husband had the fish and chips and my granddaughter the chicken carbonara. The service was amazing.

The Harbour Bistro had been recommended to us and we were really looking forward to our visit but we were SO disappointed. We both ordered creamy garlic mushrooms on crisp ciabatta. It was served in a small cast iron pan which is meant to be heated thus keeping the food really hot. These had clearly just been taken from the shelf and the mushrooms put straight onto them so, lovely as they were, the creamy garlic mushrooms went cold almost straight away. The crispy piece of ciabatta was just a piece of soggy bread. We then both had their burger. We normally never order a burger when we eat out because you never know what the quality of the minced beef or pork is like but on this occasion, the write up was so good that we decided to try it. Oh dear, big mistake! They were just gristle burgers, absolutely revolting. Just left them on the plates. The waitress said they’d never had any complaints before! Really? Must be just us then! No problem - you vote with your feet don’t you so we won’t be going again and we definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. We’ll stick to The Sea Shanty, The Stores in Trearddur Bay and The Liverpool Arms in Beaumaris.

Rude staff- family of 5 - had a walk along the front after dinner and thought we’d call in for a drink as lovely location and good reviews on trip advisor. There were a few people inside but plenty of space, however as I walked in I was given a very unwelcoming look by a staff member- it made me stop in my tracks and ask if we could come in for a drink, the man said something like you’d better be quick like we were a real inconvenience- so unwelcoming, I felt really uncomfortable- how arrogant- could have easily let us sit in and sell us at least 5 drinks and we’d have only stayed a short while - his loss !

Decided to try this bistro for lunch on a miserable stormy day. It is very nice inside with big windows onto the harbour. The staff are very friendly and the chap serving funny. 🤣 We ordered from the small plates menu. We had the squid, fish cakes and hot wings with free chips when you buy 3 plates. The squid and fish cakes were delicious and the best I have had for a long time. The chicken wings were also very good. Definitely will be back for an evening meal next time and I bet the view would be fabulous on a different day!

Lovely food in great venue in Anglesey when we stopped over on our Irish holiday. Warm welcome on arrival and friendly pleasant staff who took the time to explain and inform us about the venue and food.

Had a fantastic meal there after Christmas. The whole menu looked great and we opted for the 'small plates' option-we were not disappointed. Excellent friendly service. the food was delicious and the beer was great. Looking forward to dining there again.

Fabulous lunch!!! This is our absolutely favourite restaurant. The location is just amazing, the staff are helpful, knowledgeable and very, very nice, and the food is completely wonderful. My sister is gluten free and we are both vegetarian, yet we had such a choice of delicious food, and my sister had the option to make certain dishes GF. Everyone went out of their way to help us. We were so lucky that the sun was out, and the roof on the lovely conservatory area was off, how amazing for the end of October! We live 2.5 hours away, but regularly make the journey to eat here, and explore more of wonderful Anglesey.

We ate here on wednesday for my friends 50th, great food well presented, lovely staff, nice atmosphere. What's not to like!. Thanks to all the staff.

A warm welcome greeted us by staff the restaurant was warm and beautifully lit our table was set ready for us. We had drinks and when ready ordered food from a great menu selection. The food was served and all of us commented saying it was a lovely meal with lots flavour and plentiful, desserts to die for Cannot wait for next visit would recommend phoning first in order not to disappoint

Lovely setting and was so looking forward with all the good reviews. May be we were just unlucky and arrived at a busy time but we were pointed to our table and sat for 15 minutes without a menu or a drink, whilst tables next to us were served. I think the owner in a checked shirt didn't even notice and didn't seem bothered when we left. We would definitely not recommend their hospitality skills and would have liked to try their food

What a beautiful evening had by all in a bistro buzzing with happy customers. The food was fantastic, the view was great and the staff were brilliant. There is no question we will be back to enjoy another night here.

I’m sure it’s been there some time but we’ve only just found it. Newly covered deck area works brilliantly. Nice people and food good and really pretty good value. Holyhead may not be top of my list of must visit towns 😉, but once sat here, sun sparkling on the sea and yachts bobbing at their mooring, our rosé in hand, we could almost have been in Oz, NZ, West Indies, Manhattan Beach…classy without being up itself. Thank you.

We came here around 5 pm before getting ferry to dublin. Clearly a busy place so a good idea to book. But the friendly host fitted us in. Good menu and food was nicely cooked. Service was efficient and friendly. Restaurant is nicely located as part of the museum with a sea view.

We came a across the Harbour Bistro, situated next to the Maritime Museum as we booked a family Paddle Board lesson with Newry Kayaking, Sub Ski Fit We sat on the sociable table, ultimately had it for the six of us, with a menu that would satisfy everyone. We had two lots of tapas for £20, three dishes and chips and a few Poretti and wine to wash it down, highly recommended

Great spot, right in the waters edge- next to the museum. My partner had fish and chips which was amazing. Sadly I went for the carbonara- which was tasteless. However, the rest of the food looked good and the girls were really friendly. I’d advise booking as it’s small and busy
