Good was amazing Staff were very helpful and accommodating The restaurant was very clean and tidy and spacious Only downside was that even in April, it was ridiculously hot in there and after we had eaten, we had to step outside for a few minutes to cool down

The food was nice, we had the carvery on mother's day so it was help yourself but they did plate up a lot of meat and refilled the veg and so on often. The staff were really friendly and helpful as one of the children had food allergies they were really helpful. Will definitely be going back.

Had booked Xmas lunch at the Half Moon; due to illness had to cancel at very short notice. with no plans for a meal at home and no food bought in. Baked beans being top of the menu. No Way. Our 3 course meal was brought to the house. Thanks to the staff. wonderful service and we could enjoy our unexpected Christmas DINNER. Thank you Mathew.

We had our first Xmas lunch here yesterday, my wife and I were very impressed, from start to finish, the food was excellent, service was spot on, the whole process was very slick. Great atmosphere and we will booking for next year as soon as we can, well done all the staff.👏

I have had amazing service everytime I have gone here for food. The food is beautiful and they also cater for vegans. Would 100% recommend to family and friends and will be returning.

I went here today with 4 elderly members of family who have been coming here for years. The food was as always magnificent, however we were left upset and astounded by the incredibly rude service from one of the waitresses. We were told we had to be out by 1, which is understandable as they were busy, but the tone she took with us was unnecessarily cold. We felt so rushed that we got up as soon as it looked clear at the carvery, only to be told we had to sit down and wait for another table to go up first. When it was apparently time for us to go up, the rude lady called to us from the bar that we can go up now. She didn’t even come to the table to tell us. Four members of the party have hearing aids and didn’t hear her, so she asked “are you blanking me?” When we said we were confused by the system (and by the manor in which she was talking to us) she asked “are you trying to be difficult?” We didn’t even have time to finish our plates or have dessert, even though the people who were due to take our table hadn’t actually arrived. When it came to paying we were told “we’re good at taking money off you” and “you can sit in the bar next time”. This is simply unacceptable and the worst bit of customer service I’ve ever experienced. There was no respect for us whatsoever. I must stress that each quote is word for word what she said. It’s so bold in my memory that I can’t forget her unkindness. We’re a regular customer at the half moon and all think of the place very highly, however this was so disappointing that it completely ruined the family occasion. I want to stress that we love the restaurant itself and the rest of the staff are lovely and super friendly - it was just this one lady who was utterly unpleasant towards all of us. That was enough to ruin our whole meal. I would like to hope that if we did come back again, we are met with a different waiter/ waitress. I don’t know what she had against us or what we did wrong but it felt completely unreasonable. I appreciate people have bad days but to take this out on regular, paying staff is horrific.

One of my favourite pubs in Llanelli! Always love visiting the Half Moon, the food is absolutely stunning. Half Moon melt is my favourite! 😍 We’ve never had a bad meal here! The staff and owners are so welcoming and friendly and really appreciate your custom. Good selection of alcohol and a cosy atmosphere. And they’re dog friendly 😍🐾

I never usually write reviews, but I’m making an effort on this occasion as we were so impressed with the experience. This was our first visit for a family meal and I can definitely say that we will be back again. By far, the best meal out we’ve had in a long time. We had a warm welcome by Lloyd who ensured everything was ok. The food looked amazing and tasted absolutely delicious - complements to Matthew the chef.

Was a fabulous carvery, served by a lovely lady. Unfortunately, we weren't told on arrival that we needed to be told to wait until sent up for food, and so we were told to sit back down.

What a fantastic place! We were travelling through and wanted to try somewhere local for dinner, so we booked a table at the Half Moon. The staff were very friendly, service was great and the food was all fantastic. We had mains and desserts, both were perfect. Will definitely visit again, very happy customers!

I have been here twice over the weekend and have mixed reactions to both the visits - I visited on Saturday with my partner the services went above and beyond, I can’t remember the servers name but she was a young girl with blonde hair and she was amazing. The food itself was lovely a little bit pricey for what it was but with the costs of everything going up you can understand it. However we also visited for Sunday lunch (prior I have never been here) I thought we’d give it a go but honestly after today I will never go back. We had a very rude member of staff with short hair and with denim shorts on. We went up for food as we had booked so assumed we would just go up when the queue was short which we did however we had some guy come over to us telling us we shouldn’t have got up and we should have waited and to wait until they were ready I felt like I was back in school not trying to spend time with my family we got made to go back to our seats (there was 1 person in front of us at this point so it’s not as if it was busy). We were debating whether to walk out after this however we were all hungry so decided to stay and I wish we left, the food was honestly the worst Sunday lunch I had ever had in my life- the potatoes were hard, meat was tuff and dry, veggies tasted like ones you could get from the supermarket. The only thing I did end up eating was the stuffing balls as they were lovely. I went up to go to complain however the lady took a while to serve me and had to get my train. I would never recommend this place to anyone - try Ruby’s or Stamps if you’re after something lovely 😊 If you’re a vegetarian you do have to let them know before you get called up as we didn’t know we had to wait 10 or so minutes for the nut roast which was apparently lovely.

I booked a table for 6 o'clock. When I arrived I stood in the bar for over 10 minutes being glanced at but not acknowledged. Eventually I made a noise to draw attention to myself only to be told quite sharply that they were busy. I walked out and won't be going back. I have read your response and do not appreciate being called a liar. Your member of staff was not at all attentive and I did not swear. I asked her in frustration if she was willing to see to us and walked out when she snapped at me. Your investigative skills are as bad as your customer service.
