Great: Staff were all lovely. Dogs allowed. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Good prices. Improve on: Sunday set menu is not explained properly so we had no idea how much our courses cost until ordered. There are no terms and conditions explaining that starters/desserts are £2.50 extra on the physical table menu. The food was a bit average however it is cheaper than a lot of pubs so there are some allowances. (The manager sorted things out for us with the pricing confusion so this was much appreciated). I would certainly return for drinks but not sure about food.

Fantastic, friendly, welcoming staff. Food was excellent great value for money will definitely be going back. Soooo we have been back many times since my last review and today the staff went above and beyond we had 16 people double booked and still they took care of us like nothing had happened no one knew a thing and our day went without a hitch best pub in town bar none

What a lovely venue and amazing staff. Hannah was exceptional. Food was amazing well done to the kitchen team. Would highly recommend this establishment. Never had a bad experience when coming to this venue. David and the team always make us feel like family.

I was greeted on my arrival. Other staff engaged and were friendly walking by. I was assisted with finding electrical points for my laptop. Staff were swift in coming to my assistance. The place was clean and I will return soon.

Has all the usual pub grub and have visited quite a lot. It is also dog friendly. However, we won't be returning due to the horrible experience we had. Firstly they got our order wrong and questioned us in an accusatory manner about what we had ordered when we pointed this out. I also found 3 hairs in my meal so hygeine standards have slipped. Usually we enjoyed coming here for a meal but the hair in the food was the last straw

My mum and I have been coming to this pub for 4 years and every-time we receive the best service! Emma the manager always greets us warmly, Hannah always has a smile on her face and asks how we are, Clara is super attentive and the rest of the team are fab (apologies for not remembering all their names!) The food is everything you’d hope for from a typical English pub and to top it off it’s extremely reasonable! We always feel welcome and at home and are proud to call it our local pub so THANK YOU to The Gryphon we couldn’t recommend you more!

Had a “best of both” treat at the Gryphon. Mini-choc brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce, with a soya cappuccino. Delicious! I really enjoyed it. Good value too. Staff welcoming and helpful.

Food good, service good. But pub was cold inside , n fact had to wear my coat. Shame, would have stayed longer for a pudding, which looked nice on the menu and another drink, but went home to warm up.

I went to the pub for a wake and used the pub car park . I received a parking fine of £65 . Will not be going back there again

Lovely friendly service and real fire but food rather lacklustre with a sad lettuce leaf and small cubes of cheese on my veggie burger which didn’t taste of much. Shame as the lady who served us was so helpful and got us puddings even though the kitchen had closed, brownie was good at least!

The atmosphere and lovely log fires. Samantha welcomed us in. We ordered the Chicken pie and mashed potato. Delicious and also ordered the mixed grill. Impressed how hot the food was and the chips hot and very freshly prepared. A welcome for our dog too and a dish of water and few treats brought over.

The food was delicious. We visit the Gryphon about four times a year and the menu was much better and seemingly more varied than previous visits. The Ember Inns app works really well and even though I am in my mid-60's, I find it easy to order by phone using the number on the table. We seem to get served much quicker now than when we had to wait for a member of staff to come to the table and take our orders....and that was despite it being very busy in there for our most recent visit with most tables taken.

When visited here was greeted by so lovely staff members that was all so welcoming. Was extremely clean warm and welcoming. Emma was very accommodating thank you for answering all my questions with menu choices and making our visit an enjoyable one.

My wife & I went to the Gryphon in Enfield tonight (28th, December 2023) for an evening meal. I ordered the Calamari as a starter for us both to share, when it arrived it was rather greasy but tasted nice. Our Main course was Sirloin steak, king prawns, chips, peas, half a tomato & one mushroom, my wife had the Scampi, chips & peas. I asked on ordering if I could have a Jacket potato instead of chips but I was told that they did Not have Jacket potatoes so I stuck on having chips, The Sirloin steak was very tough which Sirloin steak should Not be, the Prawns in breadcrumbs was over cooked & tough, the rest of my meal was fine however. My wife's Scampi was very oily & she was unable to eat this but my dog liked it on returning home. Now if this was Not enough the table near to us were shouting and screaming in fit's of laughter Not giving a dam about other people dining there & the restaurant staff did nothing to get them to lower there voices. J Because of the experience we had with with our food & the Morons on the next table we decided Not to have a Desert or Coffee, it was a blessed release to leave this pub restaurant, I would NOT recommend this place for a meal.

The bar staff and waitresses were excellent. The food was appalling. Especially pre cooked frozen roast potatoes.

Our first Christmas dinner not at home and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly, the food was great and the atmosphere was spot on. Genuinely would recommend The Gryphon, we’ve been going since it was a Harvester and never had a bad time.

Sharon our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Live music was great for classic rock fans like me! Our dog was made very welcome and enjoyed her chicken!

We, the Winchmore Hill North London Hospice Shop volunteers, had a Christmas meal at the Gryphon last week. We were made to feel very welcome and the food was great.

This morning's breakfast was fantastic! Anna, our waitress, provided excellent service—attentive and friendly. The food was amazing, and it's clear they have a great team working together to make the dining experience enjoyable.

I highly recommend paying a visit to the Gryphon pub/restaurant in Grange Park. There is plenty of space in the car park just make sure you register your car reg at the bar. It has a very pleasant warm friendly atmosphere with plenty of seating at the front and back. We throughly enjoyed our steak dinner with desert and drink. A big thanks to Hannah for a great service who was excellent and made us feel very welcome. Hope to be back very soon.

Meals were not hot starters were the only decent dish served salad bar was abysmal. Service was poor and we were rushed into ordering and plates were taken away before all members of our party had finished. We attended the restaurant months ago and said we would never return but decided we would give it another try after tonight we will not be returning

The staff were friendly and very helpful. We were a large party and nothing was too much for them. The atmosphere was christmasy with live music and log fires ! The food was lovely with good portion sizes. I’m looking forward to going there again.

The new rib of beef is exceptional. The team are wonderful and the children loved the market stalls and real reindeer 😁

Used to be a harvester but is now a ember Inn like the stag and hounds and ridgeway it's a pub so you go to the bar to order your food.food typically pub menu steaks burgers

Food is so good and cheap if you're from London! Pub quiz made the room feel tense and weird for a while but not impossible to ignore.

I had a delightful breakfast experience at The gryphon this morning. The were very welcoming , creating a welcoming ambiance. The service provided by the waitress Anna was exceptional, and the food was amazing. Overall, a fantastic start to the day!

We arrived at the Griffin and were met by the manager, who tried to make my app work but in the end, we used my wife's app. He then informed us that they were busy but take a seat in the bar and that he would let us know when there was a table free. So we ordered drinks and waited..... and waited..... I went to look for him and he was gone!!! and never to be seen again!! I then spoke to a lady who showed us to a table ... so glad I asked... we chose our meals and went to the bar to order the bar operative said there was a 45-minute delay for food!! and anything from the grill was unavailable.... the operative then said it had been a week from hell!!! we then ordered a cab and left for one of the local restaurants Puntos absolutely perfect.. I can't be the only one who has had issues with the Griffin Grange Park why have so many open tables if you cant service them, this is a local restaurant lets get together with all our issues and try and sort it out...

Went tonight for the second time , first time we waited over half an hour for our meal , gave it another go tonight as a Monday was a lot quieter than last time, and hey ho we waited even longer tonight, table next to us got food before us even though they ordered after us. That was final straw we got our money back and went for an Indian instead. Won’t be going a third time. Shame as we used go a lot when it was a Harvester. Need to employ more staff only 1 taking orders and 1 person serving the food.

We ordered two sirloin steaks and mine was so chewy I think it was rump steak. My friends sirloin was thin & mine was just one big chewy lump & I struggled to eat it all cos of the effort eating it & wasn't able to chat with my friend. I was like a camel chewing constantly. Will be very careful the next time I order

Never had a steak so badly cooked - The order was a mess which ended up with me having to pay more than I needed to. The man at the bar was extremely rude - totally ignored me & spoke to my husband instead even though I had the menu in my hand and was ready to order. He needs to go back to school and learn some manners!!

The pie was really good, kids enjoyed their food. The fireplaces were on. The staff was very friendly, engaged with the children and brought a surprise for the birthday girl. I will definitely go there again!

Good food at reasonable prices. Nice open space with plenty of room around tables. Staff and service could not have been better. Only drawback is the car park. Small with tight spaces so you might need to park on the road.

The food was great and the service excellent. The fact that we can bring our dogs was also a bonus.

Decent and affordable. Great service and friendly staff. Dog friendly too (staff loved the doggy woggies)! Highly recommend coming here if you're hungry or thirsty.

The grilled meats (wings, ribs, gammon) were exceptionally good. We had Sharon go out of their way to help with special diet ordering and organising things for our collection of disabilities and special needs. We really enjoyed our meal after a long journey. Not really cheap, but still reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend.

The service was ok but the food portion was small. We had fish and chips. Not a lot of fish more batter A small amount of chips.

Came here for lunch with a friend, really nice mac n cheese and wings, will be visiting again 100%

Myself and my partner were heading down to London for a night out when we saw karaoke advertised on Facebook and couldn’t resist! We had dinner which was yummy and drinks, the espresso martini was the best I’ve had! David and Clara were excellent, we had a lovely evening with a little sing song as well, what more could you ask for! 10/10 would recommend Thanks all for a fab night!

As ever the Gryphon extended it's warm welcome, the staff are always the best asset of any establishment and many of the staff here have been working for years and will always make you feel at home. We had the avocado on toast as a basic start, to which I then added a few extras as it was going to keep me going al day whilst I built a shed ! Mandy did an excellent job of looking after us.

Went for our anniversary. Chose steak, medium and the other well done.. The steak was OK, chips were a bit soggy and not enough of them to begin with. The peas which there seemed to be a table spoon of dried shriveled tiny peas and 2 onion rings and that's it, the plate look tired and lonely. Had to have mayo so it wasn't so dry.. Anyway the service was very good and staff wonderful. Drinks were reasonable and the atmosphere good..

Been coming here for a while. I always scan the barcode to place order online at the table. You have the option to leave a tip before you've even been served. On days I tip before being served my food arrives extremely quick and comes with a smile. On days I don't tip the food takes under an hour and waitress won't give the time of day. It always seems to be the same waitress who either makes the visit pleasant or not. Could do with learning people skills and children skills. Lovely food, the waitress isn't enough to put me off however for the price you pay it would be nice to have a smile. Thanks guys!

A fantastic local pub, with amazing service, friendly staff and very hospitable to dogs. We come here once every week as a family with our dog and it always is a great experience.

Wouldn't feed the food to the dog seriously if you can't do better than that don't bother. Mash was brown from sitting in the barn Marie so Long and frozen veg on the side stay away! Was in there today 29th July 2023

First time visiting The Gryphon and it was a great experience. The food was nice and hot and the team were excellent, extremely tentative and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a great evening.
