Great little pub for a drink after a walk in the countryside. Also serves food but we didn't have any. Very friendly service. We'll be back.

We came to The Greyhound for our Easter Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. The service and food were both fantastic. We can’t wait to go back!

Fabulous, ab fab. Greeted and served by a lovely blonde lady. The pub has a proper country pub feel. The food was prompt. And OMG be warned they do not skimp on the portions at the Greyhound. 🫡

Wow! My husband and I just had an amazing lunch at the Greyhound. We shared a cottage pie that was plenty for a lunch for the two of us, though once I got started I could easily have devoured the whole thing!

We popped in here after 8miles of Ridgeway walking, 2 muddy adults and a muddy spaniel. They welcomed us all with great warmth, food, beer and a water bowl for the pooch. They provided us with a local taxi number who were great to. Getting me back to the car to return and recover wife and spaniel. A great end to a lovely day walking. Highly recommend.

We visited the Greyhound with my elderly Mother in Law 95 and of course Cocoa, on a Wednesday lunchtime. The manager made a point of supplying a comfy chair and cushion for MIL, and a drinking bowl for Cocoa. Service was attentive and I was very impressed with the food presentation and the menu selection. Would have enjoyed avocado tortillas, but that wasn't as popular, so had been removed for the time being. All in all I would recommend a visit, but book first as it is very popular!

We went with no booking and surprisingly they managed to fit us in. My partner and I enjoyed a lovely meal. Followed by a delicious pudding😀as I am GF this was special

Fantastic customer service in advance from Claudia and Sarah (we had to change our booking time, size and location 4 times) and on the day, making a group of 8 muddy walkers feel very welcome. When one of our group couldn’t see a vegetarian option she liked in the Sunday lunch menu, Sarah offered a selection from the week day menu. Eight mains served hot and quickly. Delicious.

Friendly and efficient service. Very good sized portions. Best roast beef I’ve had for a long time. Would definitely recommend.

Dropped in here for our evening meal during a weekend stay in Tring. Such a warm welcome, attentive service, delicious food, excellent hosts. We all had starters and mains but were too full for puddings. We each had something different but the quality did not differ - yummy

Great beer but the worst fish & chips I’ve had in a long time. Very overcooked, batter was almost burnt, therefore the thin piece of previously frozen fish inside was tough and completely dried out, pity…… Probably won’t eat there again which is sad as I like to support local pubs.

Visited for a post Christmas walk and get together. I am coeliac so was worried about eating and quizzed the staff on cross-contamination etc. We all had something different but I had fish and chips which was gluten free. There were also other gluten free options. They were busy but as one of our group had to shoot off they brought her a starter very quickly. Staff very polite and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their food.

Fantastic lunch, we arrived unannounced without a booking and they were very accommodating despite being booked up. The food was fantastic, served quickly. I had the roast beef and throughly enjoyed it. Very friendly staff, perfect end to a long walk.I can't recommend them enough. Worth booking in advance as they were busy.

Lovely room with great views the bathroom was very impressive with large shower the staff were lovely at a very busy time of year unfortunately the bed was shot to pieces and desperately in need of a new mattress a 5 star room spoiled only by a 2 star mattress

Really generous portions when we popped in for the Sunday roast. We had the lot: starters, main and dessert and it was all fantastic. The staff were really lovely too - especially to our two young children. It's lovely inside- really Christmassy. I'd definitely recommend.

Had a really good evening and experience at the Greyhound tonight. Food was terrific and we had a real variety of different meals across the table. Beef blade, seafood ravioli and kids sausages all absolutely top drawer; high quality ingredients and touch throughout. Very attentive and thoughtful staff too. We’ll be back very soon.

Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a good roast - even with dietary choices. The Greyhound was recommended to us and I'd recommend it to others who want a nice pub lunch.

Probably the best meal I’ve ever had! Visited with a friend for lunch. I had the Seafood ravioli in a garlic and chilli butter. It was just so delicious I didn’t want to finish it. The service was excellent and staff really friendly . I will definitely be returning.

We’ve been here several times for Sunday dinner and have been on weekdays too. The food has been fantastic every time. Great service. My favourite starter is the goats cheese - it is THE BEST. My kids love the food too. They have the best roast dinners, the best fish and chips, the best goats cheese, the best lasagne! Can’t fault the food at all. It is one of our regular restaurants.

Really lovely Pub. They serve food all day on Saturdays. We got there at 3.30pm and had dinner. The portions are very generous. We had starters and mains and two could not finish their mains. The food is fantastic. I had the steak and ale pie. There was lots of meat and I loved the extra jug of gravy. Husband had cod and chips and again it was a huge portion. Children had halloumi burger and crispy chicken burger. Food was excellent. We would have loved to try desert but we were just too full. Lovely service as well. We will be back if we are in the area again. Price of food was Very reasonable for the quality and portion size.

Last week we did 8 miles hike in Ashridge estate, by the end of it we were so ready for good big hearty meal. We called few pubs around but none were opened at 4PM luckily The Greyhound Pun was & OMG food was so delicious. I ordered halloumi fries and fish & chips, my friend ordered bruschetta with mushrooms on it & fish & chips and the friend ordered fresh salad & fish pie & we all enjoyed our food a lot. Food quality was great & portions huge. We could clearly see the difference being outside London. Very cosy, girls serving were too nice & polite. If you’re considering to go I wouldn’t think twice 😀

Not many in but still had a laugh. It's not about the numbers sometimes, it's about the laugh when you're there. Great pub!

We all enjoyed our meals. The smoked salmon starter and garlic mushrooms starter were great. The pâté was a bit plain & uninspired, would have been nice to see a bit of salad or something to add a bit of colour interest. Beef Blade was good as was the Cod and chips.

Stopped off for a spot of lunch after a walk round Tring park with my dog, we sat in the bar area which was warm and cosy. I had the most delicious Salmon on crushed new potatoes with broccoli and a caper dressing! Cooked exactly how I like it. Service was brilliant, friendly and attentive- food came quickly. Just enjoyed a fabulous pub lunch here at The Greyhound. We both had the steak and ale pie, one with mash, one with chips, both incredible. Absolutely huge portions too, so no room for dessert sadly, but they looked amazing! Will certainly visit again.

3rd visit to the pub for lunch in the last couple of months. The first two visits were in a group and today's visit was with my sister. The food has been exceptionally good and the staff are very professional and welcoming. The atmosphere was very relaxed, which makes it a very pleasant visit. I would definitely recommend this pub and will certainly be returning.

Hurray Gluten Free Fish and chips! Very welcoming and helpful. One family member has mobility and sight issues, staff very helpful and understanding, even helped him deal with the ramp on leaving. This is definetly on our list as its accessible , friendly, and food well cooked.

All good here in Wiggington. Primarily a gastro pub now but good beers and drinks at the bar. Good good also. Definitely worth checking it out.

Really lovely pub, in a beautiful setting, with quality food and helpful staff. The rooms would benefit from a little maintenance, with our toilet seat being cracked and the flush not working properly, but the decor was nice, bed comfy, and our stay was great!

Visited today with my family of 9 and had a wonderful meal! Service was friendly and prompt, food came out quickly, and the roast was huge! Couldn't fault any of it and was very impressed with the quality of the food. Roast had 4 roast potatoes, lots of meat, Yorkshire puds was light crisp ans freshly cooked and veg and cauliflower cheese was delicious!! Highly recommend here and we will definitely return.

We had a family meal on Mother’s Day. Totally happy with our experience. The staff were so polite, helpful and cheerful. The food was delicious. Most of us had a roast. Good sized portions, cooked well. Welcoming to children.
