Had a absolutely brilliant Sunday lunch , everything was freshly cooked and delicious and the owners and staff are so welcoming and friendly, booked to go back for Mother’s Day and looking forward to it

Perfect little pub for Sunday lunch. It was so cosy and intimate. Food was fresh, homemade and plenty of it. The staff were lovely & very welcoming, beautiful log fire on a cold Sunday in December. We will definitely visit again!

Another wonderful lunch at the Greyhound. Lovely friendly welcome from Paul & delicious food. Gammon egg & his amazing chips, Rump steak (no waste) Venison pie & veg, Vegie Lasagne. Empty plates, full tummies & smiling faces. If you live in or around Milton Keynes The Greyhound at Haversham is well worth a visit. Characterful country pub with open fire, beams & great atmosphere.

We have just had the best cream tea ever. The food was lovely and we had such a laugh with the landlord, he's great fun. Would recommend highly.

Great atmosphere, brilliant afternoon tea and a smashing welcome. Owner and co made our afternoon very special to celebrate one of our friend’s special birthday. Nothing was too much trouble endless pots of tea and generous helpings. Thanks you Paul for the entertainment and your lovely member of staff (sorry I’ve forgotten her name). You were both great and made our day such fun. We will be back that’s for sure.

I was fortunate enough to have an afternoon tea with 29 of my friends recently What a treat all needs were catered for with a few allergies and sensitivities met with original and tasty treats a variety of beverages to choose from including teas everyone’s needs were met. Service was fabulous with all staff appearing to enjoy the event as much as we did Paul welcomed us all and provided Bingo which made us all laugh and encourage an inclusive environment I would highly recommend the Greyhound to anyone looking for excellent service food and fun. 10/10

Wow! Visited the Greyhound in Haversham for afternoon tea for the first but definitely not the last time. The food was delicious, the surroundings pretty and nostalgic. The staff were extremely friendly, the service excellent. The price is very reasonable - I have visited many other places more expensive and nowhere near the quality of this experience.

This is an excellent spot for for a casual drink, food and more, havent tried the B&B yet , but will soon. We had a fantastic dinner of fresh cod fish and chips and an excellent beef stew, all expertly prepared by owner Paul. He was able to tell us how fresh the fish was, being landed in brixham that morning and even knew the name of the boat that caught it. Very friendly staff , cosy atmosphere with roaring log burner. The team were extremely helpful and our 2 children were catered for perfectly. An outstandi g example of an independant pub that is doing things right, and becoming a bit of a rarity these days.

Called in at this lovely pub to reminisce because we had our wedfing reception here in 1969. The pub is so gorgeous and the food was fantastic. I had cod and chips and hubby had steak and kidney pudding. Host was fun and chatty and clearly a terrific cook. Went back for dinner tonight and took a friend. We all opted for venison pie with green beans and new potatoes. A very generous meal and we will definitely be back for more before we return to our home in Australia.

Had Sunday Lunch to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The lunch was delicious, with plenty of fresh vegetables, and a good choice of desserts. The service was excellent and there was a lovely atmosphere. Thank you!

Saturday lunch stop….Best pub burger I have ever eaten. Prime Wagu beef, absolutely delicious. Amazing chips and onion rings to accompany the burger. Great beer, very friendly staff and dog friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

A memorial service was held at the church, we needed a venue for guests refreshments, also accommodation for two nights . From the very first phone call, Paul was extremely helpful and understanding of what was required. From the moment we arrived he was considerate and kind in helping us to get settled. The accommodation was spot on with all essentials provided including a bowl of fresh fruit. Our meals were freshly prepared and delicious and generous portions. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food for our guests, 34 in total was amazing, everything fresh and tasty, with a good selection, including a curry that was very popular and special provision for vegetarians. All in all, excellent on all fronts, both accommodation and catering. Throughly recommended and huge thanks to Paul and his team.

Visited today for a lunchtime drink & we both decided to try the fresh crab salad. Absolutely delicious with really generous portions. Can’t recommend highly enough. Friendly atmosphere & a proper country pub/restaurant with beams, fireplace & lots of character. Only 10 minutes from Central Milton Keynes.

The Sunday roast was lovely and plenty of it. Extra vegetables and Yorkshire puddings. We really appreciate Paul accomodating us past there last orders and close to there closing time. Service was still the very best. Its the second visit for us and it doesn't disopoint. Cant wait to book the afternoon tea available Thursday Friday or Saturday. I think I'm going to take my aunt this Thursday. Highly recommend!

Every pub has its ups and downs and we have been to the Greyhound a few times over the years... and I am happy to say we were greeted and treated fabulously by all the staff that we met, as well as receiving great service and enjoying tasty and generously portioned meals. Although we were on a simple menu (myself and three kids) I did think the menu was wide and the atmosphere lovely, perfect for a more grown up evening in the future. Madison was our waitress and she was excellent, but as I said, we must have spoken to about 6 staff from the time we entered and all were brilliant. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Booked on spare of the moment for sunday late lunch 4pm.We were warmly greeted by a gentleman at the bar and seated at the table, our waitress was friendly and attentive , lovely girl. Walked across the English countryside to pay this place a visit and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed a few drinks in the sun with the dog waiting for food to arrive. Every single time I have been here you are always greeted with 'food might take up to 40 mins to arrive' and the place was far from heaving. Is there something wrong with their kitchen??The food arrived after about 30 mins or so, it was good. Desserts were nice too and these arrived a little quicker

Such a brilliant service - one of the first evenings out after 3rd lockdown, staff at The Greyhound couldn’t be more hospitable. Service was amazing, all waiters were constantly checking if we were being served, even despite having a fully functioning app for table service. We got chilly from sitting outside but were very easily moved to a table under the heaters to suit our needs. Shoutout to Suraj, Georgie, and Anton to name a few, for making our experience just that bit more enjoyable. Will be recommending this pub to all my friends & family, as it is perfect for both a family meal out (there were many families among us!) and a friendly catch up for drinks!

The Greyhound has become our go-to takeaway during the last year. Lots of great options and incredibly generous portions. Burger and chips is as good (better) than anywhere, fish and chips on a par with any fish & chippy. Quality of steaks is excellent and much better value than certain over priced steakhouse chains. As well as the takeaway the greyhound is a very welcoming pub - looking forward to when it can reopen. Lovely owners, traditional pub environment and great food!

Just had another terrific Sunday dinner at the Greyhound. We rediscovered this pub about 2 months before lockdown, after hearing that there were new owners in charge, and it was worth a visit. So we tried the place once (for the Tuesday Steak night), and we were hooked. Since then, we've been back many times, and also used the takeaway service that was up and running throughout the pandemic, and is still going now. Anyway, onto today - Sunday Lunch. To be honest, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better roast dinner in the local area for the price. For £10.95 you get a choice of Beef, Pork or Chicken, with roasties, a selection of veg, stuffing, and Yorkshires. For £12.95 you can have 2 meats. Today I went for the 2 meat option, and you get a real hearty plate of food. All cooked beautifully by the guvnor - Paul. The Pub is also known for it's steaks, where you can get the normal cuts and even 32oz or 64 oz whoppers. I've tried the steaks and seafood here and that is also top notch. Service is good and attentive, and nothing is too much trouble. Heather and Paul are extremely welcoming and are on top of all the COVID regulations as well. So if you want a great steak, some lovely seafood, or a traditional Sunday roast, in a quaint English village pub, give the Greyhound a try. Lets face it, in this current climate, businesses like this, need our support more than ever.

We often had fish and chips takeways during lock down from here and decided I wanted to have my birthday lunch here to support the team. The service and food was first class, steaks were cooked perfectly, desert and coffee I could not have asked for more. Well Done!!! See you again soon

Sorry for the delay. We came here on Friday 4th September for my wife's birthday. Shame the Ghost Ship was off but everything else was very good. If you like Sea food this is the place. Thanks for a lovely meal.

A very welcoming small village pub. Was met with a very welcoming member of bar staff who put us at ease and made us feel very welcome. Only stopped for a drink in the beer garden however will definitely return for a meal!

The Greyhound has been privately purchased by a chef and his wife, who are really bringing The Greyhound back to life as a great village pub with great food. All food is freshly prepared and we enjoyed an excellent Sunday roast prior to COVID 19.You can also order and take away! The owners have plans to renovate and improve the pub. The immediately responded to the shut down by creating a great village shop selling fresh vegetables and fruit, eggs, milk, cheese, home made bread and other provisions. All set up in an attractive and clean environment. High recommend and you can pre order.

Yes, the food is terrific at The Greyhound, but with the current lockdown situation, this wonderful pub has converted into a Farm Shop to help the surrounding villages with getting fresh bread, eggs, veg, fruit and a myriad of other goodes so that we don't have to go to a supermarket and risk our health.Thank You to Heather & Paul!

We saw the pub advertised on the main road and decided to give it a go. So glad we did - lovely food very reasonable priced and very friendly service. We had the vegetarian lasagne; steak and kidney pudding followed by chocolate mousse and baked cheesecake all for under £30 (plus drinks). Great to find a pub that isn't a chain and does great food.
