Lovely, friendly pub with good food from local sources som,e of which are from their own farm. Reasonably priced, fun eclectic use of farm implements everywhere and very informative chat with Alicia who was lovely. We will be back. Parking is a bit tricky.

A fabulous lunch at our favourite local pub. Service was outstanding as ever, food amazing and a great atmosphere. Always worth booking early to avoid disappointment!

A great night for six of us having dinner at The Greyhound. Fantastic choice of real ales and drinks served by friendly, smiling, engaging staff. The food was superb. The chef managing to get six Tomohawk steaks ready all at the same time. Great effort. It's a pleasure to go to this pub as nothing ever seems too much trouble and the service provided by the team is second to none making it very relaxing and enjoyable.

Booking was easy the day before - they found us the last table and offered it even though it was for a different time. We were flexible and appreciated being asked. Our first Sunday roast in the UK and it was fabulous- gluten free yorkshire pudding and all. Massive meal but so tasty we did our best to finish. The chicken was succulent and tasty and side veggies were great. We will be back with friends

This is by far our favourite pub in the local area and we were lucky to get a table for Mothering Sunday. The food was fantastic, and the little extra Mother’s Day treat such as a glass of fizz for the mums was very sweet. The staff are super helpful and friendly and always prompt at answer queries - we had dietary restrictions in our party as well as someone with mobility issues and they are always so helpful. This was our first visit to the Greyhound, for my partners birthday, and couldn't recommend it more. The staff were friendly & welcoming and the food (we each had a Roast Dinner) was amazing. And to top it off they had beer from Lakedown on tap. We will definitely be back.

We have always enjoyed our visits to The Greyhound, though today was the first visit in over twelve months and we were not disappointed. We parked near the pub, did our walk and returned for a wonderful lunch accompanied by excellent beers. The lunch was so good, we decided to try the desserts and, again, we were delighted. The staff here are excellent.

Fabulous family-run pub. Great for a family dinner or sunday roast. Reasonably priced with a good variation in the menu. It’s popular so make sure you book early.

An amazing Sunday lunch, all the trimmings and more. An abundance of gravy (a rare find), vegetables galore, all perfectly cooked. Sticky toffee pudding with what seemed to be an endless supply of sauce... smiles all around on our table of 6. A true country pub, well supported by locals, walkers and those looking for reasonably priced, fresh wholesome food, served by welcoming, friendly staff. Lovely gastro pub, with typical dishes of the British cuisine. The pub has been renovated in early 2024 and it's wonderful! The staff is really polite and accommodating and it's a nice and cozy environment with a vast assortment of beers and ciders. They also have some good alcool free beers!

From the moment you step in, the staff are like old friends, buzzing with smiles and ready to help. Nothing was too much trouble and the portion of free roast potatoes & gravy was both delicious and appreciated! When we got stuck and couldn't get back to our car, the manager kindly hopped in her car and gave us a lift - that's the kind of extra mile they go. Would highly recommend!

Visited on the 13th December for dinner was a blonde very young waitress who was extremely rude, impatient and passive aggressive. Made us feel very uncomfortable and at several times rolled her eyes at us (for example asking if the Christmas menu was available on the day/if we could have more time to think about orders). Other than that food was average and ambience was okay. I hope this review gets back to this young waitress and she is able to treat ALL customers with respect despite the outward appearance (she was dealing with a Doctor and a Forbes 30 under 30 entrepreneur/writer but treated us like we were vermin).

Very welcoming pub in a tiny beautiful village in the sticks, although a shortish walk from nearby train station. Well worth seeking out. Lovely beer. You won't want to leave!

Visited for the first time and was not disappointed. They had made the table beautifully for a birthday event, the food was great, the service was excellent and the pub itself is lovely. So pleased we visited - and thanks to everyone who has taken the time to add previous reviews because otherwise we may never have found this gem. Will definitely be going back. We were a party of 13 & went to celebrate a special birthday. one of the guests is a super sensitive Coeliac. Fran and her team were superb & their knowledge spot on. We were sat in a nice part of the pub with decorations put up & supplied by the pub. We all had fantastic meals with great service from start to finish. Thank you so much we’ll be back again soon

Absolutely cracking find by my friends that are back in the UK from Oz for a bit, the service, the food, all three courses was fantastic and all the staff friendly, efficient and a credit to the pub.

Our group had opted for the Christmas menu, although I usually find restaurant Christmas dinners rather underwhelming. However, I was given probably the best Christmas dinner I have ever had away from home! The turkey was moist and succulent , the stuffing was delicious and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The tasty pudding was served with proper homemade custard. Most impressive!!!

We visited this pub after reading the reviews...we weren't disappointed! You can instantly feel the fondness the locals have for this place, its very welcoming to locals & visitors. The weather was hammering it down but it was obvious this didn't deter anyone! Fran made us feel welcome! After contacting her on Instagram, she made a real effort as she knew it was our anniversary. We stopped for lunch on our way to visit Chartwell House. The staff were lovely, very attentive. You can really feel a sense of 'family' amongst them. The food was delicious! We arrived just after it opened & it quickly filled up with dog walkers & families. My husband loved the real ale served there, and it was a nice surprise to find a tasty, traditional cider too. Fran even gifted us a couple of real ale glasses! We would highly recommend! Book in advance as its busy. Look forward to re-visiting🤎

Wow truly fabulous Sunday lunch. The Greyhound is right up there with the very best gastropods. Gorgeous free range chicken and grass fed beef which is so important for my wife and I. Roasties to die for, tasty beautifully cooked veg and importantly lovely gravy...

We had the Katsu curry on Saturday lunchtime I had the chicken & Lynda had the prawn version both were incredibly tasty & beautifully presented! It was very busy but the 3 girls working handled the session very professionally! I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone!

Let me just say that out of all the many establishments I have eaten in around Kent, this is (by a country mile) my favorite. Warmly welcomed by the staff and owner (Fran) to an idilic country pub with amazing views and incredible decor. Locally sourced foods are cooked to quite breath taking perfection. I couldn't fault any dish or side, I even heard the table next to us ask for different vegetables which was, to my astonishment, catered for. By far one of the best roasts I've had the pleasure of eating and will definitely be back. Thank you so much. Danny.

We visited here after a walk around Hever Castle and grounds (only a 10 minute drive). We both had the beef burger with homemade chips. It was absolutely delicious, high quality meat. The waitress told us it was from a farm 2 miles down the road. The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming. The decor of the pub is great. It looks like a place a lot of love has gone into designing and maintaining it. There isn't a car park for the pub which is something to be aware of. But there are places to park along the road. It's definitely worth coming here for lunch. We will be coming back!

What a gem! This place is off the beaten track with excellent food and the most friendly and attentive staff. We had proper wood fired pizza last night, usually available Tuesdays and Saturdays. There is also an excellent, varied menu. Food is freshly prepared and very tasty!

We were a large group of 14 that sat for the second sitting. The service was amazing. We were not rushed at all and although we had given our orders 24hrs prior, we were able to make minor amendments. Food was reasonable, some dishes were better than others. There is limited parking and is located in a very small country lane. Overall a lovely pub that I would highly recommend.

Beautiful rural location, if like me you enjoy good old fashioned country charm you'll love it and it's quirky bathroom decor. Food was good- the homemade ice cream is am absolute must. We went for my nans 80th and they were happy to provide some extra touches to celebrate. Only downside is no customer parking

We enjoyed dinner here. As the other reviews say, The Greyhound is a cosy pub with an interesting menu. We were seated in the dining room. Hygiene standards were very good (tables thoroughly cleaned between guests) and the staff were friendly and efficient. Chairs not hugely comfortable (though they had cushions added, so not completely awful). The food was nice, with good sized portions. If you come by car, allow time to find a safe spot in the lane and then walk back to the pub, as parking outside is limited.

Second visit and on both occasions food distinctly underwhelming. Seems to be very popular with locals (and very nice staff), however not for anyone looking for top quality food. I don’t normally leave a review (in particular when the staff so welcoming), however I consider the 4.8 overall rating to be misleading.
