Canny bar shame was empty waste staff great though not really changed since last visit way to overpriced unfortunately

Awful place, rude staff, felt very unwelcomed not a nice atmosphere at all. It’s a shame as this is my local.

As a Brummie with a mother from Gowerton, South Wales and a Glaswegan father, it''s a privilege to come home and drink in an old mining village family pub.

Friendly local, good pool table, darts tournaments, beer garden, it's got the lot!

Old pub in Shiremoor. Only ever popped in for a swift one on the way home from Town. I don't think that they do food, but it is dog-friendly. It seems clean and friendly, but sells no cask ales, so, to me it doesn't hit the spot, cask ale being what I drink.

Nice couple of beers, made welcome.

The staff were fantastic and the locals made me feel more then welcome, pretty quiet when I visited but it was like being with a bunch of friends even though I only knew 1 person

Friendly staff with good prices. TV's on every wall showing sports . Land lady is 71 and a real Diamond. If you are in the area it's worth a visit

Definitely a local pub, everyone knew one another, at the same time your not made to feel an outsider, staff are good and on the ball, keeping an eye on the amount of drink you have left in your glass, a place to call into for the nomad drinkers.

Best Bar Owner in North East.....You will not find a more traditional bar that has the friendliest manager anywhere. It's a locals bar, all friendly, brilliant jukebox and a pool table. Give it a visit

Grey Horse, Shiremoor, Whitley Bay is a happy, well decorated, clean and friendly pub, staff are really canny and always have time to say hello. Cheers me dears.
