The Gregorian Arms in Southwark

Stopped in the pub for a quick pint. Has a couple of ales on tap, as well the normal craft and lager. Ales seem fine. Didn’t eat so couldn’t comment but the place was nice old school type of pub.

Absolutely love this place, it's a real hidden gem in the heart of Bermondsey. I went here on Sunday with some friends and had the roast pork (not my usual, but it looked lovely) which was sensational - can't wait to have it again. The food is always a hit here and I'm constantly surprised they manage to surpass expectations in such a small kitchen. I'll definitely be back.

Lovely beer garden but the service was not too great. Waited for our food for 45 min and then they said there was a mix up and that the kitchen is now closed. The staff didn’t really care and were unfriendly. Upon asking we got a free round but overall not happy with experience. Edit: Besides this one bad experience; always a good spot to grab a pint after climbing at The Arch. Will therefore increase my initial rating from 2.0 to 4.0 ;)

Wonderful pub with excellent quality food and cask ale for amazing prices. Nice staff, cosy feel, plus a great sized space if you have a lot of people with you.

Really helpful & friendly staff. Really tasty food & good choice of beers on tap. Really quick service when waiting to be served. The only thing you should back a table if you're going with a bit group of people.

Eccellente pub nei pressi della stazione di Bermondsey. Abbiamo passato una piacevole serata sorseggiando ottime birre inglesi, mangiando alette di pollo, patatine e cheesburgher eccezionali. L'ambiente era chiassoso e pieno di gente che conversa in allegria bevendo pinte (molto british)!!

Popped in The Gregorian for a few beers with my family today... Then thought we would stay a bit longer and have the roast dinner.... Fantastic!! The food was amazing the beer was wonderful and the staff were very polite...What more could you wish for on a Sunday afternoon.. Thanks Guys

Fish & Chips, to niestety głównie panierka głęboko nasączona w przepalonym oleju. Na zdjęciu widać ile tego było. Sama ryba również nie zachwyca. Natomiast pub, bardzo fajny, piwo dobre, czuć lokalny klimat.

The Gregorian seems to consistently be able to impress with its food. In our first visit we had Burgers and chips, both of which were incredible. Restaurant quality. Now, we have come back for the fish and chips and they were absolutely lovely; flaky, thick white fish, a great butter on it while sitting on a bed of great chips! Also, the peas were chopped and mixed with butter and garlic, what a treat. It finished it all off with a perfectly poured pint of Guinness and Cider for my girlfriend. We will definitely be back more than a few times. What a wonderful gem in Bermondsey

Popped by for a couple of beers. A great pub, large beer garden out front, and big indoor space with lots of seating. Theer is a separate function room as well if needed. Interior decor is great, 1960's and 70's furniture is fantastic! Didn't eat there but menu looks good.

Didn't have food, so no comment. Really friendly feeling place with great staff. Not sure it would be a destination pub for me, but a definite if ever i'm in the locale

This spot is our local, been many times for different occasions. Quiz night, Sunday roast and beers in the sun. It does all of these things really well.

A great historical English pub with an amazingly large outside courtyard perfect for summers day . The inside is just as appealing with panelled Walla and old historical fixtures . Perfect for tourists . Decent prices and really nice welcoming bar staff. Lovely food and prices . Not much wrong with the place to be honest .

Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Had a burger with fries with Cornish pale ale. Burger patty was juicy and not overloaded with sauces. For the price in London it’s very good. Highly recommend it

A large, popular pub with lots of outdoor seating, so it's particularly good on a summer afternoon or evening. The building has plenty of character and there are several separate rooms inside. I had a good cask beer.

I’ve heard famous stories of the roast at the pub. When I arrived and experienced the food, it was nothing short of legend. Everything was perfectly cooked and couldn’t have been better. Big up the chef and awesome service!

I went to this pub and attend Labour Party meeting with Neil Coyle who is the MP for Southwark😍😍😍what a gentlemen he is.☺️👍he listened to everyone one by one. It was a great catch up with Labour members at this pub.There is a section on the left just after the entrance, the pictures and decorations on the wall are so interesting😁I paid £3,75 for a pint of coca cola😅cost of living crises can be seen from there🥴This conservative government made everyone(British citizens) poorer basically 😭I will become an MP and fix this craziness☺️Please vote yes for Labour and for me on the next election😀😀😀👍Love you lots my darlings. A lovely place with lovely people, drinks and meals are affordable. We had the beef burger and the vegetarian burger (10£) and it was perfect. The staff made sure we were feeling safe and comfy, the place looks very pub traditional.

My Team mates did some research and booked a table of 10 of us for a meal before some pottery painting that was close by. I had the bangers and mash and It was delicious! Very reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're near by!

Meh. Only 2 options, 1 of which was vegan & both were roasts on the menu on Easter Sunday. No normal menu available. £19 for the beef, the quantity was fine but there was nothing to justify the price. The vegan was good but wouldn’t have been tried if there were other options. Staff a bit lack lustre with dirty outside tables & 1 napkin supplied between of us lol. It became clear why there so many tables free on a prime and sunny Sunday. Will give them another go at some point if the menu is more diverse.

Been living in this area for years, but never got a chance to visit the Gregorian. Decided to go for Sunday roast and left with mixed feelings. Pros: Location is great - outdoor seating on a 17 degrees day is amazing. Plenty of seats both indoor and outdoor. Toilets are clean and deco seems nice. The crowd was pleasant, not too rowdy and pretty community feel. Cons: Very limited food menu on a Sunday afternoon. Only had 2 options - Vegan or Beef and the prices were quite staggering. £19 for beef and £16 for the vegan roast. It did surprise us when we paid the bill. Though the food was pretty good, the prices were just too high. Service was pleasant but a tad slow, almost careless. When we first arrived, the staff were just chatting, so we weren't sure if we were supposed to get our own seats or wait to be seated. We were given one napkin instead of two as well (hence the careless comment). Not too sure we would come back again for food unless they have more options available, but perhaps for drinks...shame though, as it's a lovely pub.

I would put 5 stars but they've changed the menu, now it's just a pubs standard like fish and chips etc. No more marrow beef burger, no white bait, no chicken wings, no halloumi fries

Today I came with my boyfriend for a sunday roast, it was ultimately a great experience! the food is so delicious, the chefs are very friendly, great atmosphere in the pub, loved the beer selection I want to thank Mr. Hossin for his hospitality and his sense of humor and for making our day enjoyable! Thank you for the service and the food, I would definitely recommend it to my best friends 💜

Love this place and have been eating Sunday roasts here for years and they were always amazing so nod to Ian, the chef. Went this past Sunday 22nd January 2023 and the roast was the worst meal I've ever been served anywhere. Frozen roasted potatoes, meat consisting mainly of fat, all swimming in an abundance of red cabbage water. Please, please get Ian back or employ someone who can cook and present a nice meal as I love this venue but can't use it until this slop is off the menu and replaced with a fresh tasty roast

No fuss Sunday roast! The service was prompt, the food was great and the staff was jolly! What else do you need from a place serving your favourite Sunday roast!

As a pub it's okay. For food it's pretty mid, but that might be just because it's British cuisine. Food is expensive, drinks are on par with London pricing.

Card only, limited food that was half sold out, limited range of drinks.

Truly impressed by vegetarian Sunday roast, amazing mulled wine and great service who kindly offered starters on the houses as food was delayed.

Young crowd, good beer selection. Big room is a series of wooden picnic tables, and I'm just not a fan of those, there are some regular tables around, but the tend to be low and difficult to work around.

Refusing to turn the music off for the football, despite being asked nicely. I would advise going somewhere else if you want to watch football

This place!! The staff is awesome!! And their WHITEBAIT!! OMG! Golden, delicious, crispy on the outside and flavoursome inside,big portion, just cooked PERFECTLY with a slice of lemon on the side and some pepper and garlic mayo !! I come every week just for their whitebait!

Really great authentic pub, conveniently positioned right outside the Bermondsey tube station. Excellent roast dinners on Sundays--best, I've had in London by far, and Finley's Monday night quiz is always a great time.

Nice place but service had become awful. People behind the counter are rude and complacent. I have have been coming her for years but the peeps behind the counter especially the red hair girl this evening was very unpleasant

You can't beat the Gregorian for quality in the area. Every visit has always delivered and its the personal touch of having a head chef that is always willing to go above the normal level and make you feel welcome. We will be back.

Top boozer near Bermondsey station. Blue Moon on tap with an orange slice slapped in there. A tasty Guinness from what I remember. Plenty of outside benches which is great for when the sun is out.

Nice friendly pub in a cool area of London. Bar staff are super friendly, and welcoming. Prices are decent for London, food menu looks like traditional pub food but at affordable prices. Interior decor is old fashioned but well kept. They have an outside seating area.

Great place to relax after walking from Central London

It was our first family experience at The Gregorian Bermondsey for a Sunday Roast! My husband, 1 year old toddler and I thought the food was great! Evident by how quickly we ate our meal. Kind and friendly staff. We went around 3pm and it was a pleasant 1st time experience and would definitely come back!

Tasty jug of Pimms (for £22) and plenty of shady tables outside. Unfortunately some of them smell like a toilet corner, and it's by the road, but not the venue's fault. Sadly the kitchen was closed on a Saturday lunchtime so can't comment on the food!

Pub has a lot of space outside and inside, nice staff, nice beer, nice food. The place in quiet, but located near the tube. One of my most favourite pubs in London.

I like this old pub. A minutes stroll from the tube and a good meeting point. Perhaps one of the best outdoor seating arrangements in the area. Sprawling front beer garden spanning the footpath and under some fabulous old trees, so it's perfect for a hot summers day if you want to get out of the sun. If not, there's sunny sections to bake in as well. Small bar, gets busy, so service can be a little slow.
