Came last July time with another couple and really loved the menu and ambience although considered as the restaurant is small and bijou that it is more akin to couples dining rather than small groups as it could be overbearing and noisy to other diners.

We are regulars at the Green Room and have been really missing our visits. So were delighted to find they have started a delivery service. We had an order delivered on Friday and it was delicious from start to finish. Simple heating instructions for microwave or oven and beautifully presented. Would highly recommend. Julie and Jan

Az Restaurant

19/02/2020: Had a super meal here with succulent lamb, interesting starters, homemade baklava, great beer and attentive service. Would definitely recommend.
20/01/2020: We were staying in Scarborough for a few days over the New Year so thought we'd treat ourselves to a meal on NYE. The set price was £35 for 2 courses, which we had to pre-order a couple of days in advance. On arrival we had a cool reception from the man who I presumed was the owner, we were shown to our seats and very quickly our starter arrived. We chose the mixed mezze, which was very nice and not too filling. My husband chose the lamb Iskender for his main, which he enjoyed, and I chose the Tavuk Sultan. We were served our mains by the stony faced gentleman who announced mine as "chicken and nuts"(why call it that when it has a more exotic name? ) I thought my "chicken and nuts" was relatively bland and too much of it - although it came with bulgar wheat it would have been better with less stew and some nice Persian garnish. It turned out that we could chose a dessert within the price, but we had to buy a coffee - given it was a set price, it might have been nice to include it. Our bill came to just over £100 for 2 people, for the meals, coffee, 1 glass of wine and 2 Effes beers, which I thought was expensive. Although the stony faced gentleman was overseeing everything, there were 2 very nice, friendly ladies serving - who I hope shared the tip that we left.

28/02/2020: Excellent pizzas and mezze. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Could do with a better selection of ales, the local ones being so good, but this is nitpicking. Well played, everybody.
16/02/2020: Was unsure when we walked in with no booking. Was shown to a table and given menus, staff very good and nothing too much trouble. The food was outstanding and cooked to perfection.I had the Sirloin steak, and the wife had lamb, both cooked as requested. A good place as it soon filled up with customers.Would definitely visit again
