We have been to the green man lots of times it is our go to place when we are in the uk. You can be assured that you will have a big meal and very friendly service. It is in Ringmer in Sussex near Lewes. There is a beer garden out side if you wish to sit out. Inside there is loads of room to sit and relax. The people that own the pub are very nice and friendly

If your looking for good food at great prices then the green man is the place to visit. You do get large amounts of food on your plate but you just have to ask for a smaller portions but if your really hungry you won't be disappointed. The staff are first class too always happy to help. So is definitely recommended by me and my friends plus am sure lots more other customers.

We were a party of twelve that came to enjoy a nice lunch after a wedding. Everything was delicious and the service was great. We ordered a mixed grill, sweet & sour chicken, and other dishes like steak and Guinness pie, not knowing that the portion sizes are huge. They had to provide the veg on a separate plate as there was no room. The dessert was equally impressive. Thankfully, we were able to get some containers to take any leftover food home. We all agreed that we will definitely be back soon. There's more food on the menu that we haven't had yet! 😉

Lovely food, generous portions and very tasty! I had Thai lamb curry and my husband had Ham Egg and chips. Both meals were well cooked, hot and delicious. The prices were extremely reasonable too. We will definitely be back!

One of my fave pubs! Food fab and plentiful and staff were great! Enjoyed our roast lunches and impressed with the free dessert that accompanies the roasts! The honeycomb cheesecake was yum! Will be back!

Was a little worried about coming here as I clearly went on the busiest day. The cups were all placed on the side of the bar - a good 50+ glasses and was a little loud in the pub area. When we was seated, I was amazed at how big the portions were and the food was amazing, although service was slow at times. I have since been here another two times! Was recommended to myself and my partner and now it’s become one of our most favourite places to eat.

Just out and about and came in for early dinner/late lunch with a couple of teenagers . I feel restored and they are well fed and watered . The waitresses were lovely , accomodating and patient .

I usually don’t leave the house unless I’m forced out and even then the aura of misery that surrounds me is enough to make sure every person at my table feels my suffering. That did not happen Saturday night. I left the house willingly, donned in my usual black attire, because I knew where our journey would take me. From the moment I set foot in The Green Man I felt it’s warm and comfortable embrace. Like I had come home again. The absolute dedication it takes to decorate for Christmas the way the staff has makes me never want to decorate again because how could I match what they’ve done, my house now looks like garbage draped in fairy lights in comparison but I am here for it. 4000 plus baubles, it is beautiful. The service was fantastic. Understandably, the staff had their work cutout with the size of our party but they dealt with any quibbles and qualms as efficiently as any human being could, thank you. The ultimate burger I had was ultimate enough to satiate my ultimate appetite and the full slice of banoffee pie I had was big enough that I could have curled up inside it and slept off the ensuing food coma I was to be placed in after finishing it. My wife and I were treated to a meal by our good friends for services previously rendered.The restaurant was superbly theme decorated for Christmas with an amazing ceiling display like no other!The meal was absolutely excellent - nicely presented - and I would have given 10/10, but nobody is perfect!Service staff were also attentive and pleasant and the prices still very reasonable compared with other locations where prices have risen considerably.Would I recommend? Definitely.

I have been to the Green Man at Ringmer several times and always found the food good quality and value for money especially taking my don and family out for Sunday Lunch.

Excellent service, very reasonable prices as these days some pubs seem to be trying to push prices up while not offering anything for it. Higher prices do not reflect quality in all cases. Plenty of food, desert portions were the biggest we've ever seen good job we didn't bother with starters. My only criticism was a very limited vegetarian choice but what they had was good.

Small family reunion over lunch. Quite busy but very seasonal with all the decorations. Excellent value for money food, nicely presented and freshly prepared. Go hungry and enjoy. You may want to book.

I made my first visit to your pub today, having come down to visit my two cousins, and got taken out to lunch.Wow, what brilliant service from such fantastic staff, and the food was excellent.Living in London, it’s such a fantastic change to get such decent service, great food and superb portion size and excellent prices.I really cannot give you a higher score, so in terms of “Strictly”, it’s a 10 from me, but you easily get a 20 out of 10.My meal was excellent, but the shining glory was the dessert. The Romeo & Juliet, with cream, even as a small portion, was all so dreadful for my waistline, but by goodness was it worth it Ringmer might not be my “local”, but it’ll be my “honorary” local as of today.My sincere good wishes and thanks to every member of staff, seen and unseen!You guys should be so proud of yourselves, on your friendly service and great food, and rightly so!!Many congratulations

Easy to find and plenty of parking available on-site.The specials and the Sunday menu was varied and full of choices for anyone.The food arrived quickly, it was hot, tasty and generous sized portions.The staff is very friendly and always with a smile, definitely adds to the good experience.Definitely recommend this pub for a meal out and will be visiting again.

What an excellent lunch!!! The food was well presented and extremely tasty. The portion sizes were more than ample (if you've got a healthy appetite you will certainly be satisfied). Can certainly recommend the pies, which filled the plate so much that there wasn't any room for the vegetables. The service was very friendly and efficient. My wife had a small problem with her meal but this was quickly sorted out. Very good value for money and can certainly recommend to anyone looking for a good meal in the Ringmer area.

I heard the roast dinner at the Green Man was great but it was very poor. The portions weren’t very big and the vegetables were the frozen type! Very poor!
