The Gourmet Pig in Pembrokeshire

What a lovely place! Really impressed with the selection of different foods they had on offer- I had the chicken and gammon pie and my partner had San Diego Melt Ciabatta Sandwich- both were delicious! Coffee was also very good! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful small cafe, yummy puffs, perfect coffee.

I hate being harsh on hospitality venues,because my son is in the industry and I know exactly how tough it is BUT.....the gentleman who runs or owns this place needs to grab a dictionary and look up the meaning of the word " hospitable ". It's incredible how much people will cut you some slack if they can see you are short staffed but just give them a " hello " and " I'll be with you as soon as I can ". I won't go on and on but you need to do that.

Lovely café with excellent home roasted coffee and good selection of sweet things! Dog friendly too. And good music!

Popped in planning to buy quite a lot of stuff for a party (cheese, booze etc.) Waited 11 minutes (i counted)at the counter while three people behind it fannied about with bits of paper so I just left my stuff on the counter and walked out. Despite the fact they're almost on my doorstep, I'll be driving elsewhere to buy stuff from now on

When we entered The Gourmet Pig there was a gentleman being served at the counter and one other customer seated at a table with her mother. The cafe wasn’t busy. We ordered a coffee, tea and a sausage roll, paid and were then asked to sit down “our order would be brought over to us.” Then we waited and waited and waited and watched as others came into the shop, were served and then left. When I asked when we might be receiving our order, the server wanted to know what I had ordered. The service was offhand, disappointing and neglectful. The cafe needed a jolly good clean, there were cobwebs and dust everywhere and the cutlery was dirty. I was then asked again what I had ordered. It took over 30 minutes to serve us a cup of coffee, tea and a warmed up sausage roll, which was all a shame because the drinks and food were ok when they finally came. But that wasn’t the problem, the service and server were the problem, including the lukewarm apology.

Great produce, nice place to stop. Lots of local goods for sale and great for gifts too 😀 Easy to park and on the way to the ferry.

Fab coffee. Amazing choice of unusual deli style food. Rather taciturn staff, not very welcoming.

Loved this place - we only popped in for a snack but ended up ordering a bit more as it all looked so nice and was a very reasonable price! I’m only sad that we discovered it near the end of our trip to the area, as I would defo have gone back to try everything else on the menu….! Will definitely go again when we visit.

Went in with the intentions of buying some of their coffee beans as we tend to do when visiting a new place... Had an Oat milk latte from the cafe and ended up chucking it away as it just tasted like milk. The server was grumpy too! Would save your money and go elsewhere.

If you enjoy good coffee I'd give it a miss.

Good for coffee and to buy local produce, including pies and cheese.

I was charged £9.50 for 2 lattes, one the oat milk was clearly burnt and the other the syrup was so sweet I can only assume it was to disguise its terrible taste. the takeaway cups were incredibly small considering the high cost (£3 per latte and 60p for an extra shot in 1, not sure where the other £2.90 cost appeared from??). as for the service I was served by a straight faced man who was incredibly abrupt and unwelcoming👎🏼

Very friendly and welcoming. Popped in for a coffee and some cake as a treat. The choice and quality was fantastic. We shall definitely return again. Dog friendly. Indoor area plus a small outside area.

Excellent food. Quality ingredients served well by friendly staff. Totally faultless meal.

A real gem. Really enjoyed the antipasti platter and fresh salad. So much so that I had it again 24hrs later! If you're in the area make sure you find this place. You won't be disappointed.

Needed somewhere to get a GOOD coffee, and directed this way by locals. What an unassuming delight, this place wouldn't look out of place down Shoreditch, with great products and a lovely coffee! We sat outside and took in the view and had the most AMAZING treats!

Unfortunately,and despite a personal recommendation, the only good thing we can say is that the Gourmet Pig is dog friendly. Visiting on a very wet day, we can only assume they were having a bad day too!

Fantastic coffee shop and deli. Nice variety of items available. Had lunch there, highly recommended. Good range of choices available, homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and platters. The Welsh rarebit is highly recommended, very tasty and it came with a Fantastic green salad that was delicious and went well with it. The cheese board was also incredible. Great value, all fresh and very tasty.

Best coffee in the UK. On a par with New Zealand coffee. Pies are fantastic too.

When in Wales have Welsh rarebit for lunch. Very good with a side salad. Would recommend. Nothing else to say. Too many characters I will not bother to complete

I realise that the bar is quite low for coffee in Wales but this was really good and the service was excellent so I don't understand any of the negative reviews. The deli looked really good as well and was not not too pricey. I would say this place s actually worth a detour.

Highly recommend this place. Very friendly staff, great sandwiches and coffee. We sat outside in the sun and soaked it all in. Added bonus - they let dogs inside :)

Great friendly service with good coffee, and I mean really good coffee, usually I need a large to satisfy my taste buds, but this did it in one normal sized hit. Highly recommend it.

Stopped here for lunch whilst travelling to St Davids. Very pleasant atmosphere, the sandwich's were great, so much so I bought some bread and cheese to take away with me.

It's not too obvious from the outside but they do have a cafe with a seating area. Well worth a visit. lovely delicatessen with a good choice of sandwiches, cheeses, meats and all sorts of chutneys and jams.

Specialises in bespoke ciabatta sandwiches. Waited 20 minutes at 12:40 to place order for sandwiches, then told they had run out of bread.

Small but full of amazing items. Had a GF sandwich made with a ciabatta and not boring cheap bread, they do charge £1 extra but well worth it. Good different fillings not boring. Bill the manager is very knowledgeable. Staff polite .

Delicious sandwiches, lemon and chocolate canolini, home made cookies. We also had the beef brisket sandwich and th.e special sandwich. Would definitely recommend

Style over substance here, I think. The setting is nice, but the whole thing doesn't quite live up to its promise. Food and drink nothing special really.

Kind of meh for me. Had a Macchiato. Again meh and the Wi-Fi wasn’t working. Not my favorite place.

Hot chocolate and coffee were very good.

We today had lovely coffee here with a panini each. Two of us had the special which had a gorgeous combination of flavours. The other had the Moroccan Panini which was also delicious. We were made to feel very welcome.

Stopped off to the Gourmet Pig after a wedding in Cardigan... had a Mojo Ciabatta roll with brie, Salmon, salad and chutney. Oh my ! what a delight absolutely fabulous love it also the Toffee Blondue and a cuppacino... well worth visiting this deli 😋

Great coffee, nice and strong with loads of flavour. Reasonably priced, coffee, veggie slice and sweet snack for £5 seems ok to me. Well stocked deli with lots of variety. Nice environment.

Popped in for cake and coffee, delightful and characterful. Had a wonderful menu but sadly we could only visit once. Would highly recommend.

Very nice deli with a great selection of light bites, sandwiches, cakes and drinks within walking distance of the coastal paths and the centre of Fishguard. The dusty trail ciabatta with pulled chicken was perfect.

We arrived just after 2pm on a Saturday, not sure whether it was still open as a member of staff seemed to be busy cleaning the floor. The sign said open until 4pm. We enquired and were told we could have drinks but no food...

We weren’t sure what to expect, but it was really good food. We enjoyed all the food we ordered, especially the ham. The staff were friendly and helpful. Glad we found it on our walk.

We were looking for a late lunch and happened upon this cafe/deli. We had two excellent coffees plus a deli meat selection, goats cheese and caramelised onion pie plus the special sandwich. These items all lived up to the previous reviews and were very tasty....

The food is *so* good, between the lovely sandwiches and the sausage roll, plus the fantastic coffee and smoothies. We went a couple of times on our stay, great place to go with kids too as staff were super welcoming and friendly.

Fantastic place with a really great atmosphere and friendly staff. Coffee is surprisingly cheap and excellent, and the smoothies are great too. Although I didn't personally have a pie myself, my brother did and reliably informed me it was delicious. Lots of food stuffs and alcohol for sale, reasonably priced for what it is! Can't wait to come back when I'm next in the area.

The pie (any pie) is to die for and the coffee is pretty damn divine in its own right. Fabulous.

Lovely sandwich with interesting gluten free bread and delicious local crab. Lots of sandwich options. Tea was also very good. Great deli too... bought a rabbit and bacon pie for the better half.

Great ciabattas, all looks and tastes fresh. Nice staff, diverse range of products. Were able to create something off the menu for the way too picky children. Oh, and clean facilities!

We bought pies from here - twice, as although they were quite expensive they were big and good quality. We also came here for morning coffee - tiny but delicious. And some Caerphilly cheese to take home - I wish I'd bought a bigger block!

Stopped here for lunch last Thursday, sadly disappointed. The sandwiches that we ordered from the menu, which sounded delicious, were unfortunately nothing like the sandwiches we received. For example, sun dried tomatoes were just ordinary salad tomatoes, Welsh ham, could have been any old ham, and cut so thin it was hardly there, whisky pate nowhere to be seen. Sorry, poor service and expensive prices for a basic sandwich, would not eat here again

Superb service. Went completely above and beyond in sending a hamper to Northern Ireland for me. Their selection of ethical meat is outstanding and they deserve to be supported in these tricky times. Cheeses, cannoli and Portuguese tarts great too!
