This isn't just a café it's a unique environment. Set in the greenhouses of a proper plant nursery, not a retail therapy garden centre, the mismatched (but oh-so-comfy)furniture and crockery make it feel homely. The staff are friendly and attentive, and made a fuss of our dogs and the coffee is good and strong, with huge scones and butter for elevenses. You can watch the nursery staff potting up and doing their jobs, and there's a small bookcase of garden related books to browse at your table. Even better than we remembered from last year!

It's not often that you find a cafe in a greenhouse, but it works. All homemade food, very friendly service from the owner - the ideal coffee stop while you're buying your bedding plants. Open during the opening hours of the garden centre/nursery.

This is true old world charm with an amazing family run Plant center. The food was rustic we had Spanish salad with Chorizo and Hallumi. The cakes were unusual and very good .

I felt very lucky to find such a lovely place for lunch before my foraging walk - lovely and peaceful with good ambiance. A lovely looking selection of salads. Many thanks.

On arrival I was initially disappointed that The Glasshouse was no longer serving cooked breakfasts. We were advised that everything to eat was on display in the glass chiller cabinets. So a venture into French cuisine with two Croque-monsieur. One ham, one mushroom and both very nice. Also on display various cakes and some interesting other savoury dishes. A limited menu on display but nevertheless interesting.

We have visited this cafe twice recently, coming across it at the nursery. It is excellent in service. Food and location. All the products are homemade including the jam for cream teas. It's hard to decide what to choose .It has improved tremendously in the last year or so under new management. I think we'll be coming here regularly, buying plants too after walking the dog in the beautiful nearby countryside.

My family and I are regulars at the Glasshouse and we are always welcomed by the owner and her friendly staff. We are always spoilt for choice from the menu which uses local home grown produce and includes tasty homemade recipes. The staff always cater very well for our various needs and we always have a wonderful time relaxing with tasty food choices.

Fabulous food with local produce, endless tea and wake up coffee. Very friendly and attentive service. Had the full breakfast which was very full.Children very much enjoyed their varied mini versions of a cooked breakfast. The specials board looked very interesting too for a lunch so we will be back to try one another day.

I don't think we've ever had a tea break in a greenhouse before! This is a quirky place with mismatched furniture and crockery and we loved it. We stopped for an afternoon cuppa after a day's walking and enjoyed the generous teapot and cakes, while watching two ladies potting up plants and two dogs playing in the next door greenhouse. Cheerful staff and value for money.

Very friendly service - we had the scrambled egg with bacon which was EXCELLENT and the smaller all day breakfast - this was spoiled by one the sausages being overcooked and very burnt at the end and half was inedible. This may have been cooked earlier and reheated? The rest was very good. The size of the portions were also very good. The fruit scone was very dry and hard on the outside and we will try something different next time. May have been an off day when we visited and would definitely call in again when next passing.

We are regulars here as we are always guaranteed a warm welcome and it is (surprisingly) never too busy. The breakfasts are superb and generous - my husband and I were both defeated! Kids breakfasts are available too. The lunch menu is good and everything is always tasty and fresh. The kids lunch boxes are great value and delivered in a fun way! The baked goods are very tempting - chocolate & coconut cake is the best thing I have ever eaten! The staff are very polite and great with kids. There is a small book corner for kids and adults which is a nice touch. The building itself is also very attractive, showcasing plants from the nursery.

Been here several times, Nice cakes, coffee etc, all a bit different and at reasonable price. However this time was served by a very rude woman who sighed and rolled her eyes while I ordered with a sort of get on with it attitude. It wasn't busy nor did I deserve this after offering a bright hello. I was pretty taken aback as it's normally a polite establishment. I was going to order some of the very nice looking cakes but decided against and was close to turning round and walking out. It's a very nice little cafe but it does depend on who is serving. This is the second time this has happened here with this person but today was really so, so rude that I wont be going back. Shame.

If you stay around the Midhurst area and would like a relaxed visit to a garden centre i can't recommend the Rotherhill Garden Centre highly enough. They have a cafe/restaurant with very polite staff and the tables etc are kept clean and tidy. You can find this place just outside of Midhurst along the A2272near Stedham

While at the Rotherhill Nursery, buying some plants, we had a nice break at the Glasshouse. Yummy cakes, the only disappointment was that we were too early for the freshly baked scones, they looked really great as they arrived out of the lichen, just as I polished off the coffee and walnut cake (which was really nice too) - but note to self: next wait for the scones to appear.

Really good quality food in a great setting of a traditional garden nursery & garden centre. Friendly & efficient staff. Home made cakes are very tasty to. This is a hidden gem of a cafe - you would not know it was here otherwise. Great value & will return.

Have now visited three times for lunch in the last month and very impressed with the quality of the food served which is all homemade. First visit had the all big breakfast which was all freshly cooked with the best ingredients and a substantial size.Yesterday had the special chicken, leek & bacon pie with chips & coleslaw for £5.95. The chips were the best I have had in years! They also had milkshakes, fresh lemonade and smoothies on the daily specials so opted for the banana milkshake which was again the best I have had for ages. Everything I have had has surpassed my expectations for a small cafe in a garden centre and the quality of food they are serving is better than most restaurants. I will certainly be visiting again and would recommend for breakfast, lunch or any of their home cakes. The cafe is actually in an old greenhouse in the middle of Rotherhill garden centre and if you are around trotton or midhurst worth a visit.

A very interesting cafe tucked away down a side passage to this whole food shop. Greeted by the aroma of tasty smells. Ideal for a coffee stop. There were many books and newspapers to keep one amused.
