Interesting quirky venue. Lots to see and buy. Delicious locally sourced food at a reasonable price.

Our meals were excellent. We had a sharing platter of oil and olives followed by our main courses. My filet stroganoff was delicious and so was the accompanying salad. I think the George's does the best chips ever.Ollie had apple chicken, sweet potato fries and salad: everything was yummy. The portions were so generous that we couldn't manage puds though the selection looked very tempting and brilliant value for money too.The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with a pleasant mix of chatter from happy diners. Our service was friendly and prompt.We both have birthdays in March so this was our first choice for a join celebration.Thanks to all staff for a memorable evening.

Cannot stress enough how amazing the steak was here!!! Absolutely hate ordering steak out as places never seem to get it right. But thought i would give it a go here, I had a rare fillet which could be cut with a spoon!! best steak I have ever eaten, comes with very nice chips and a nice little side salad.Salmon starter was perfect too. 100% would recommend and 100% going to come back.

Visiting Haverfordwest and found this place for lunch. A real gem. Excellent choice of food and especially vegetarian. The restaurant was very busy but the service was attentive. would recommend booking in advance. highly recommend.

What a gorgeous little cafe. Called in for lunch recently and spoilt for choice. Delicious salads and sandwiches on offer along with soup and jackets and daily specials. Staff were very helpful with an allergy making adjustments for me. Decent coffee and some interesting decor made it a place to visit again.

Reliably good feed. Usually something on the menu to suit and staff are good. Serves alcohol to. Nice garden area.

What could be nicer after a gym session than undoing all the good work with a delicious crumpet with cheese. This is a very filling quick lunch/snack and very reasonably priced too. Comfort food extraordinaire!!

I visited here with some friends for the first time in almost 10 years and it didn’t disappoint. There is a great amount of choice on the menu including a very good vegetarian selection. The food was served very quickly and there was enough of it. We all enjoyed our meals and puddings and found it to be good value for money. We enjoyed having a little look around the shop afterwards too, where you can buy some lovely gifts. The only thing stopping me giving it a 5 star review is the welcome on arrival. Nothing major, just not shown to table I’d reserved or explained anything, just had 3 menus handed to me before moving on to the next person at bar. Perhaps that’s normal there but if you’ve never been before, or not for a long time, it can come off a bit rude. As I say, just a minor thing, everything else was fantastic.

Value for money, excellent menu and vegetarian menu. Fantastic friendly atmospere, steak creole was cooked to perfection and found some lovely jewelery and essential oils for the wifes birthday in the onsite shop. Dog friendly and a lovely quirky garden..best place in pembrokeshire. Will be back next month.

Lunch at The Georges today was an excellent experience. The food is home made and delicious being dog friendly is a bonus. We are on holiday but will definitely return if in the area.

With every visit to The George’s they never fail to deliver. Top quality food with excellent service. Can’t rate this place highly enough.

Stopped for lunch, was informed that food could not be served downstairs which is a massive disappointment when you've someone with limited mobility in your party and with today's weather!

This is a welcome find! As soon as we walked in the place was relaxing, cheerful and had a brilliant vibe....Food very tasty, freshly made bread from bakery nearby, really pleasant and helpful staff and quick service...we were allowed to bring our dog in at front of the cafe. Lots of beautiful gems, essential oils, mirrors, scarfs and bags to buy in the little shop and the garden at the back with dragon water feature and ferns is an oasis. If you want a place that provides nourishment and refreshes your spirit look no further!!

Lovely setting as always but used to be a favourite haunt when I lived here. However, came here today and ordered two pints of coke only to be charged £8.00 (London prices), more expensive than alcohol!

We had a delicious lunch at The George’s Restaurant and would definitely recommend it. The food was lovely and had a rustic home-cooked feel, particularly the Steak and Guinness Pie and the Crab Bake. A quirky place to while away an hour or two.

A lovely restaurant with lots of booths for cosy dining. There’s a lovely boutique shop at the back to browse when you’re waiting for food as well as a nice garden space at the back where they display their stone statues for sale. This was good for the kids to explore.

We ate lunch in the quiet shady garden on a very hot day. It was peaceful and relaxing. The service was excellent. We all had salads: they were amazing. Two of us had the optimum nutrition salad which was full of fruit, seeds and salad. They loved it. My cheese and bacon salad and the duck salads were similarly impressive.

What a beautiful little haven! Just the tonic one needs to recharge the batteries. Great food, lovely ambiance and friendly staff. The garden is a little oasis and the shop sells all sorts of wonderful things from eco-friendly products, incense and jewellery. Food was delicious and piping hot! Highly recommended!

We were exhausted and starving on the way back from Skomer and stumbled into this place at about 5pm. Although they weren't technically serving food, the lady behind the bar graciously welcomed us and said they could sort us out. What followed was a delicious meal in a really quirky little place. We all enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. Service was a little slow when it came to getting dessert and the bill, but aside from that we can't fault it.

Back in the day this place was the bomb. Fortunately things move on. I had sirloin steak with a garlic sauce. My medium rare steak was well done but it was a tasty tender piece of meet. The garlic sauce however...wow approximately 5 or 6 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped, served raw in half a tub of butter poured over my steak. My wife hasn’t kissed me since.

Recommended by a friend this is a great find. I have a hearing difficulty and the seating ‘booths’ made it easy to hear, lovely food, snacks or main meals. Very friendly service, we will be back Very busy little restaurant, advise booking.

Nice choice of veggie dishes, friendly staff, quiet surroundings. Tables upstairs, dividing ‘walls’ so you can have private conversations. Downstairs booths.

Stopped off for lunch at Haverfordwest whilst on half term holidays on the recommendation of TA and wasn’t disappointed. The food and service is very good and the decor is quite fun and unique. Would recommend

The food, the atmosphere, the staff, the service were all fantastic. Such an extensive and varied menu, something for everyone. My favourites are the excellent fish pie, lovely homemade lasagne, steak Diane and their wonderful salads. I love lunches there with my mum, it’s such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Would thoroughly recommend. Oh & they have a beautiful outside seated area in their walled garden.

I am never disappointed in George’s . My friends and I enjoy going out for lunch m OST weeks. We love this place. The menu is extensive with something for everyone. Every dish we have tried has been delicious . Beautifully cooked and so well presented. Salads are special so are the chips! Steak Diane,Lasagne and fish pie amongst our favourites. Lovely atmosphere and such delightful staff.

I adore everything about this place. I go there often because it combines so many things I love: I can shop for crystals, sweets, home decor, accessories, kitchenware, candles, soap, even puppy treats, but I can also sit down by myself or with friends to have a drink and a delicious meal. (They have a wonderful menu!)

We had lunch here with 14 people after the holy communion of our nephew and niece June 1st. They serve excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff and the shop they have is absolutely worth a visit.

Visited here as a family of 3, lovely meals had by all (crab crepes, steak pie and Thai style chicken curry) . Only disappointment was the chocolate pot was sold out but the chocolate nut fudge cake was lovely. The staff were attentive. Unsure I'd bring my child here but overall a really lovely meal for adults. Will definitely be visiting again

There was 6 of us went for food, the food was ok nothing to shout about, but took 1 hour for the food to come and had about 5 chips each, not even enough food to feed a child the meal size was far to small. The drinks are very overpriced the only good thing about the place seemed to be the lovely friendly waitress and that the food did taste ok

Service was great. Good food with plenty to choose. Perfect venue for family, couples or friends. Calm atmosphere. Always nice to look at gifts to buy.

Just not worth the money. Definite feeling of snooty management also, not a comfy relaxing atmosphere. Hardly a good sign when your accused of not paying ten minutes after paying either. Shan't be recommending and definitely not returning.

First visit today and loved it! Food was great and the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Great decor and ambience throughout 🙂. Also an Aladdin’s cave gift shop to the rear of the restaurant with an amazing array of products and gifts.

Absolutely fantastic food - such a wide variety of individual choices yet the staff are so willing to meet individual requests. The ambiance is brilliant with booths providing privacy or seating in a larger room. As much as possible organic ingrediants sourced locally some grown by them and prepared in house

Myself and 5 family members went for dinner last night (Saturday) and had a lovely evening. The staff were welcoming, warm and polite and the food was delicious. Between us we had a variety of steak, chicken, fish, duck and vegetarian dishes and we all polished them off! There was a fair wait for our mains but we didn't mind as it confirmed that the food was freshly cooked and it was worth waiting for! There was a lovely warm ambience and the unique home accessories are (almost) all up for sale.

This restaurant is one of my favourite places to eat as well as giving you a great shopping experience. The food is always excellent and cooked to perfection. It does get busy though so be warned and phone to book especially in the holiday season.

Had never visited before. Extremely welcoming staff - especially as we arrived soaking wet as the weather dreadful on the day of our visit. A really delicious meal with prompt and friendly service. Such a lovely atmosphere in the entire place. We even did some shopping in their lovely shop before we left - will definitely return. A wonderful find. Thank you all involved.

If you want delicious food, grown, prepared and served with love, in a lively colourful setting, then you can't go wrong. The steaks are really good. The pate is to die for. The puds are indulgent and flavourful. They are also genuinely dog friendly. Can't wait to go back!

We visited last week, as always the food was great and plentiful. I had a lovely vegetable soup, piping hot and rich with Stilton. My husband had the fish pie, which was a big portion and was served with crusty bread and salad. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. My only criticism is that it was chilly.

Had a lovely evening in The George’s with some friends. The food was delicious even down to the side salad and the whole place had a feeling of warmth and friendliness.

I enjoyed another lovely meal at THE GEORGE'S. This time i visited on a Saturday early evening. The steak and sauce was delicious. I also managed some Christmas shopping in their shop. Definitely worth exploring! I look forward to returning again soon. Fully recommended!

The George's is an usual, unique combination of cafe, restaurant and shop. You can browse the shop whilst your food is being cooked! There is something for everyone: coffee and cake, a steak or sandwich. My partner and I enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal: seafood chowder, steak, duck and pudding. Really tasty and freshly cooked. Staff were warm and welcoming. It's off the High Street on a step hill and parking has always been easy when we've visited.

The Georges has been a firm favourite for over twenty years. The staff, the ambiance and the delicious food and tasty beverages are all outstanding. It is consistently brilliant.

What a lovely place for a meal, went there for lunch today, the steak and Guinness pie was delicious, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I have enjoyed several meals at The Georges, including a recent night out with work colleagues. The menu is good, the food has always been very good and the service is very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Popped into Haverfordwest for supplies for a weekend break, and searched online for a dog friendly cafe. This popped up and not disappointed. The food was fantastic, and the little cubbys in the front were very quirky. Also highly recommend the local honey they sell.

My wife and I loved everything about our visit to The George's. The decor is so quirky and interesting, great friendly service and the food was amazing. We had a tuna mayo and cheese salad and a chicken salad. We both agreed after that is was right up there with the best salads we have had...So tasty!

The George is a quirky shop/restaurant. The staff were really accommodating - we tried on the off chance without a booking on a Saturday night - and their service was great throughout.

Excellent meal yet again..despite being fully booked we still managed to get our favourite window seat. Aisha cooked an amizing fillet steak creole and the monkfish was succulent in a saffron and vermouth sauce. Cant wait until next time.

Had a lovely visit. I'm a 16 month retriever and after the little steep hill and around the corner into market Street it was worth it. They made me feel welcome, plenty of cuddles and a treat. We sat in the front of the cafe but could go into the garden if wanted. My owners had a coffee and cake but would have liked to try more but time on car park didn't allow (2 hrs wilko car park). This restaurant /cafe is a quiet little gem look forward to visiting again when we are in the area.

Met with family & friends for lunch , 6 of us turned up and were given a table although we had not booked.

Firstly when you arrive in front of this place there is no menu displayed. Well... If you then decide to enter you arrive in a souvenir shop. Well... Nobody to welcome you. Have to ask to see a menu.

Excellent meal for 14 of us. We hadn't pre ordered and all.food came out together after a short wait. We all enjoyed are meals. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Thanks to.everyone at the George.

On a dull day, lunch at The George's brought a welcome dash of warmth and hospitality. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly but with prompt service.

We found The George's through TripAdvisor. It was out of the way, but well worth the journey.

The Georges is such an unusual place to visit for many reasons. We had heard good reports about the food and on this basis decided to have lunch their with friends. We weren't disappointed. After ordering at the bar the food arrived fairly quickly. Presentation was lovely and portion sizes were just enough for a lunch. One of our party had a steak and commented that it was intentional and one of the only places he had visited that didn't manage to overcook it having requested it very rare. The menu is very eclectic catering for a all tastes. Lots of crab dishes we noticed and a menu for vegans and those people with gluten intolerance was also available. The staff were pleasant, courteous, efficient and polite. Although the fayre on offer was great and I loved my salad, it is the venue that makes this place so special. It's like stepping into a cross between a Moroccan tavern and a New Age/Spiritual shop. The ambience definately evocative of these two in my opinion. It also has a shop selling related items at the back and is decorated with items that are available to buy. There's also a lovely garden at the back reflecting the style of the pub and would be lovely to sit out and take in some air while partaking of coffee and some of the delicious looking home mnade cakes on display in the front by the entrance. Overall, it is a fascinating and interesting place to visit for lunch or a coffee and has some interesting things for the 'new age' hippy in us all while serving good food!

We visited twice during our stay in the town and found it to be friendly, interesting location with good quality drinks at top end prices. The service, when it arrived was pleasant, but we waited three minutes for anyone to turn up, then when we asked for food was told ‘sorry, the kitchen’s closed’. The restaurant features in many good food guides and the staff seem to have become a bit complacent, with a take it or leave it insouciance.

Absolutely love this cafe, the food is really. They have a good selection or food and drinks to suit most dietry needs and tastes. The cafe it's self is a lovely space to relax in. Always enjoy exploring the shop and seeing the lovely gardens after a spot of lunch.

Looked up on Trip Adviser and glad we did. Lovely food, nice environment and friendly staff. Sharing dessert plate is a must!

This is a lovely place, food is excellent, made with fresh ingredients and very tasty, then a mooch round a fun shop that sells a real variety of local and handmade goods. Also a bar with a good selection of gins, all in all this place works for me!!

Such an amazing place of eclectic items for sale. We had a lovely evening meal with steak to die for and cooked to perfection. Feels like a home from home with food like "mumma used to make". A must stop when in Haverfordwest even if it's just for a coffee

What a fabulous dog friendly and gourmet haven!

Today my husband and I visited for lunch and decided to sit outside in the garden area, it’s beautiful! We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly young man who explained everything to us in detail with how to order etc. We both had the giant pizza toast and shared the bread and olives and they were both simply fantastic and served by a very polite lady. I also highly recommend the Sicilian lemonade, very refreshing! Our whole experience was well worth the money and on a day like today (almost 30 degrees!) the fact that the garden is walled made it feel like we were on holiday being hidden away from the busy town centre! The shop inside is quirky and just such a lovely atmosphere all round. We are local so will definitely be having lunch here again soon! Thank you :)

It was a very hot day so we both enjoyed fabulous salads in the cool of the dining room.

The most versatile & extensive menu I’ve ever seen, I really would have been happy with anything on the menu, I chose the fish pie, my mother had the steak Diane, both fantastic, accompanied by an imaginative, varied salad & chips. Absolutely fabulous food, great staff & a lovely atmosphere, cannot recommend highly enough.

OK, first of all if you could give half points it would be a 3 1/2 but a 4 would be too generous. I ate at The Georges recently on a Saturday night. Let me start with the positives: I had a lovely, friendly welcome and all the staff and service were first rate. My starter was pretty good and my dessert was excellent.

The food is marvellous, the waitstaff friendly and proficient. Sometimes hard to get a table because it is so good and popular. The one thing that I do not like is the lack of disabled entry. Having to wheel a wheel chair through the delivery alley or walk with canes through slippery waste is very unappetizing. You can only get into the back garden which severely limits the times you can visit because of temperature and weather. For the fleet of foot, The George is a wonderful place to dine, for the unfortunate disabled, not so much.

Had fab meal here. So good wish it was close to us. Would defo come again if in area. Thank you and see you soon hopefully

We had been karting near Haverfordwest and were looking for somewhere for lunch for 4 adults and 5 children aged 6 to 14. We chanced upon The Georges and enjoyed meals suitable for all. These included a curry,fish pie, seafood chowder and bolognese. All were of a high standard.There was a good atmospherenad the we all enjoyed ourselves.

We always make a point of stopping by The George's whenever we visit Pembrokeshire. This time we made it round on a Saturday night. Had a delicious steak with the Creole sauce (The George's style) and finished with the decadent Nom Nom chocolate and ginger pot that never disappoints. We were well looked after as always. Also got to top off the evening with a bit of retail therapy.

Excellent range of different foods. The place was fairly busy but the food for our table of 9 was still quite quick and all arrived together. We were even allowed to take our dog in. We chose this place based on other reviews on trip advisor - not somewhere you are likely to just walk past and drop in.

On a busy Saturday, we ventured in and were given a warm welcome by the young man behind the bar. Although most of the tables were reserved, we were given a table in a cosy booth, right opposite the bar. I had pea and ham soup, and my friend chose the cottage pie. Both were delicious.

Beautiful place, very relaxing ambience and great quality food , I often visit the George’s for lunch with my daughter or my sister, we choose to eat here as we find it most relaxing and in the warmer months we eat outside in the beautiful garden at the rear of the gift shop

We live locally about 5 miles. We have been going to the George's for almost 45 years and absolutely love it. The food is excellent the staff are amazing and can't do enough for you. It has a lovely comfortable feeling and has a lot of history very quirky. They also have a shop at the back and all sorts of bits and bobs dotted about. I purchased a hat and gloves from there last week. I would recommend anyone to go they will not be disappointed , all you need is plenty of room in your house.We have also been there with family and friends and a few office parties.

Went to The George's today for the first time. On arrival we were given a warm welcome but had to wait as there were a few people in front of us. After having a quick scan I noticed that all of the tables were reserved before being told that the upstairs was free. Got some drinks and took menus upstairs to look at before ordering. Upstairs was lovely and spacious with some quirky decor, a lot of which was also available to buy. Ordered our meals and they arrived in good time and were very well presented with freshly made ingredients. After eating dinner and puddings we had a look at the shop to the rear of the building which is a hidden gem. Will definitely be returning.

Return visit after about a 2 year gap. Menu hasn't changed much. I ordered the garlic Serling steak that was beautifully cooked. Loved every bite. Friends ordered a variety of other dishes including fish pie and Thai curry. All dishes were lovely. Really fairly priced and all washed down with some decent red and white wines.

The best chip butty I ever did have. A footlong ciabatta smothered in butter,stuffed with fresh chips and lovingly caressed with ketchup
