The George at Trottiscliffe in Tonbridge and Malling

The whole experience was very pleasant- staff were friendly and although it was busy made time for us.The christmas decor was tastefully accommodated among the original decor. Our drinks were brought to our table and we weren't rushed into ordering- which is always pleasant as it allows time to settle .The menu is varied and once ordered our food arrived in good time. Food was fab all fresh veg and homecooked -Well worth every penny spent, and the pricing was reasonable .

We had a set three course Christmas lunch which was excellent quality and value. The portions were generous, each course was delicious and the service great. Will definitely return.

Visited the week before Christmas. It was very busy but the service was excellent. The food was lovely and hot and the choice is very extensive. The only negative is the pricing. I don’t know how you can justify £17.95 for a halloumi salad? I mean it’s veggies and cheese when all is said and done.

Really friendly staff, pub had a lovely atmosphere and dog friendly inside which is great. Portions were good and food was very nice; i would say it was a little more on the dear side of affordable just as drinks weren't included in breakfast as a few other pubs not too far away will do for breakfast. Would suggest a verbal option of "toast or fried bread" with the full English (just for those who didn't realise it's fried bread as standard - although this time definitely our fault for not reading this properly on the menu!) Hollandaise was a little vinegary but otherwise a nice, filling breakfast with very lovely staff and a lovely atmosphere. Would be great in summer too with an excellent beer garden and outdoor space.

We’ve been here years ago for drinks but hadn’t eaten here before. Inside it’s really lovely - they’ve gone to down dressing it up for Christmas and it’s a really lovely old pub. The menu was pretty extensive for a pub, food came quickly and was good. The waiting staff were great - very friendly and welcoming. There were lots of dogs in the pub and next time we’ll bring ours to try out the doggy menu. Lovely place!

Had the Pork Roast, absolutely delicious, great crackling and generous portions. Staff were super friendly and very efficient. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely warm, cosy, friendly pub. The perfect place to spend a wet Sunday afternoon. A huge selection on the menu together with a choice of roast lunches on Sunday. Everything we have tried has been absolutely delicious. Quality ingredients all well cooked. All the staff are delightful. They provide friendly and efficient service with a smile. We visited on a Saturday evening, a busy evening! Pleased to see a gluten free menu available. Staff very pleasant, an interesting venue. Large choice on menu, food was lovely… but a shame that a couple of the meals were cold when we received them.
