Very busy on Friday night but staff welcoming and friendly. Relatively cosy pub with great atmosphere inside and outside. Good range of local ales. Food good but felt a bit like it was trying to be posh but didn't need to be. Enjoyed it though and had a great evening.

Went for an evening meal. Bar has been improved. Lovely pub, easy parking and friendly service. Menu is a bit limited, but plenty of the usual pub classic dishes. I started with pate and then had fish. Everything was very nice. Online web site could be better especially to show a current menu. Worth a visit.

The Gribble Inn

29/07/2018: Prebooked Saturday dinner for 11, and arrived with the table all ready. Great to find a pub which is truly dog friendly, dogs more than welcome inside, so our little dachshund was fine.
31/07/2018: We called in for an early evening dinner on Friday and were very pleased by the venue, the ambiance and the menu.

The Stags Head

12/09/2018: Good service and great beer but ... Very loud ladies at the bar - shouting, screaming, bellowing, all in good cheer in fairness but it was ear splitting at 6:30pm and 'encouraged by a lady that I took to be either the Landlady or family member. I don't think kids in their jammys should be in the bar either as was the case.
09/09/2018: We ate lunch here on a cold day, the food was great, and the service was friendly, what we would have expected from a neighborhood pub. The cottage pie, and the bacon and egg sandwich were both great, the cottage pie was the best I've had in the UK or Ireland. We enjoyed it so much we went back for dinner the following night; this time, brasied short rib, and mushrooms stroganoff were delicious. The chef is delightful, and does an exceptional job. I'd go out of my way to return.
