Sensational, i am 63, have eaten seafood around the world - the fish and chips is world class and no exaggeration . Haddock to die for .

Excellent food, friendly staff that enjoy travelers. There's even a map with pins to show where you're from. The Highland venison/black pudding stew is to-die-for. Excellent Scottish fare. Don't miss it!

My husband and I ate here on a Wednesday night. The dishes we had were the soup, Halloumi, burger, chicken strips, chocolate tart and banana cake. The food is delicious. The servers were quick and really nice. I love all the twinkle lights throughout.

From the minute we walked in the service was fantastic, food was outstanding and the owner took time to have a chat with us.

We were up in Fort William for the weekend and heard great things about The Geographer from friends and bloggers online, so tried phoning ahead of time to book a table but unfortunately they are walk in only. We left it a little later on around 7:30pm but still had a slight cue outside which did pass quickly with people finishing there meals and leaving. It is such a lovely restaurant inside with a world theming, it is small & quirky but don't let this put you off. They have something for every taste and believe me it is all fantastic, served within no time at all and with some of the food being served in a basket, it really did peak on top! Staff are brilliant and really do go above and beyond to make your meal one to remember. Pricing is a little costly due to the tourist location but the quality of the food and portion size is second to none, highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!

Would massively recommend the Geographer for anyone who is staying in Fort William. Like others have said, we had to wait outside for a table to become available, but the fact that it was so full was a great sign, and it really didn't take very long to get in. Once seated the service was brilliant, very speedy and very attentive without being intrusive. Food and drink selection was very varied. Once ordered the food came out very quickly and was all cooked beautifully. I can heartily recommend the Mac & Cheese - stunning. All in all a place I would return to if only I didn't live in Gloucester

Gorgeous restaurant. No bookings taken and we had to queue but the queue moved quite quickly and it was absolutely worth the wait. The mussles as a starter were a huge portion of really juicy shellfish. The venison and black pudding stew was also huge and delicious. Macaroni cheese was a very good version with crispy onions and garlic bread. Best of all was the cranachan dessert. We were so full but managed one between us and it was fabulous. Staff were attentive and happy to chat for a minute despite being so busy.

A warm welcome greeted us by the owner, Paul, after our trek up Ben Nevis. The ambience was lovely and relaxed and the menu offered a great variety of quality dishes at reasonable prices.

Excelente desde varios aspectos. Lo principal, la comida, cuatro comensales cuatro opciones distintas y todas excelentes. Igualmente la atención, que si bien no es refinada, es llevada a cabo con una amabilidad y cordialidad destacables. La ambientación es correcta. Los precios, no digo que sean altos pero seguro no son muy moderados.

Had to queue in the rain outside for a bit but were quickly accommodated. Very friendly and helpful staff. Mains came out piping hot with tasty, large portions. Only disappointment was the lack of George Ezra on the otherwise excellent playlist (see below!). Highly recommended all round.

This is a really unusual place, quirky decor, but a warm and friendly feel. We had to queue for a short time, but it was really worth the wait. The food was delicious, the service was warm and friendly and overall, the experience was fantastic. Give it a go - you won’t regret it. We didn’t have room for dessert, but maybe next time.

Fabulous food and excellent fast service when we needed to be in and out very quickly. We will definitely back if we can manage it.
