The Fuzzy Duck in Stratford-on-Avon

Lunch today for my partners 50th birthday. Bread was nice, starters I had goats cheese beetroot jam tart which was nice and my partner had scotch egg which was nice but lacked seasoning. My main was wild mushroom tortellini which very good but pasta a little bit thicker than I would make it. My partner had steak and requested medium rare but this was more medium to well done but was a very delicious steak. Bit a mix up on our puddings but not a major issue. I did feel the service was somewhat robotic and flat but my biggest disappointment was that when booking I did mention it was my partners 50th birthday and if this could be acknowledged in some way by a candle in dessert or something which it wasn’t and left me feeling like a little more customer care would of made the meal a much better experience. I obviously did not mention this at the table as I thought that it was better my partner didn’t know.

I can't fault this place at all. The staff was amazing. Friendly and 100 percent adhering to Covid measures. The food was perfect and the restaurant/pub itself couldn't have been cuter. Finishing dessert I was contemplating booking a room so I could eat here for the next couple of days. Just lovely.

The food at the Fuzzy Duck was absolutely brilliant, and some of the best we have ever tasted. They even accommodated for us by adjusting some of their cocktails to not include alcohol for us.The restaurant felt incredibly COVID safe with well spaced tables and a one way system to and from the bathroom, as well as lots of hand sanitiser stations.The only slight downside was that at times we did feel ever so slightly neglected by the waiting staff, who spent a lot of fine speaking to the “regulars”. We understood this, as it was the first weekend that the restaurant had been open for inside dining but there were times when we would try to get someone’s attention unsuccessfully but they would instead be returning to the same tables. That bring said, the staff were very polite and friendly towards us whenever we did speak with them.We will definitely be retuning in the future.

We went to The Fuzzy Duck while in the cotswolds and it did not disappoint!! Absolutely amazing, cant fault a single thing, have eaten in many restaurants and this was up there with some of the best! We each had 3 courses, all cooked to perfection, generous portions. Make sure you visit hungry! We will be back and would recommend this restaurant to freinds and family. Compliments to the chef and all the staff.

This was our first visit to a restaurant since lock down and I can honestly say we felt very safe with the precautions in place and therefore able to enjoy our visit. Staff wore masks with a one way system for the toilets. Hand sanitizer to enter and also situated round the restaurant and on every individual tables.The food was absolutely amazing, the scallops were so tender and tasty, certainly recommend them. We both had the sea bream as a main, cooked to perfection. Leave room for dessert, it's a must.All in all we had a wonderful visit, thank you to the staff for helping to make our first trip to a restaurant during these difficult times a great success.

We went here for a Sunday Roast and it was just wonderful! The food is delicious, beautifully presented and clearly homemade. The staff was so kind and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We only came here cause the cottage we stayed at was across the road, but we are so happy that we did. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

We visited here for a special treat after being on slimming world austerity for 3 months ! It was our second visit both of which we had Sunday roast. It was a superb lunch, we both had the lamb and the whole dish was simply gorgeous. Wonderful crispy roasters and plenty of fresh veg accompanied by a huge Yorkshire pudding. We shared a cauliflower cheese as an extra and that was so good. For dessert we had the cheesecake with salted caramel ice cream which will live long in the memory. Felt safe and secure and would have no hesitation in recommending this stunning pub to anyone.

We ate here on Friday, early evening and were very impressed with the overall experience. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the three course set menu was fab. We thought the courses may have been quite small but that is not the case - go there hungry! The Apple crumble and custard was the best I have had. Lovely cosy feel to the restaurant and very Covid friendly.

Had the Tuesday 3 courses for 2 deal. The quality of the food was excellent. Scallop starter was cooked to perfection. The chicken was so moist and the apple crumble was hot, tasty and the right size for a 3 course meal. Highly recommend the pork scrathcjibgs with applesauce as a "nibbles" dish. Light, salty and good portion for even 4 people. Support this place. We were visitors but we would go regularly if we could.

Debido a covid y no viajar al extranjero, decidimos explorar los Cotswolds y Henley - on - Thames.Guau, no podríamos haber descubierto una joya mejor escondida de un lugar para quedarse y cenar.Todo 1 clase de calle, desde el personal, la comida, la ubicación. Date night. First time back at the Fuzzy Duck since lockdown measures were introduced.Brilliant Covid precautions are in place - we both felt incredibly safe. The pork scratching with a truly amazing apple sauce is an absolute must. Be warned tho, there's far too much for one person. I had a major guilt trip having to leave some.The scallops starter were simply exquisite and perfectly cooked.However, the star of the show just had to be the steak. Possibly one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. I totally love this place. It always gets a 10 out of 10 from me. But having not visited it since the back end of 2019, it made me realise just how brilliant this restaurant is.Fabulous food. Equally fabulous service

As soon as you arrived you knew everything was going to be good.From the lovely decor to the Covid secure arrangements, including QR code to register, plenty of hand sanitiser and all staff wearing face masks.The staff were excellent, both Mollie and Luke were very helpful and friendly.The food was delicious with all five of our party commenting we could have eaten anything off the menu. For starter we had the goats cheese and caramelised onion tart (recommended by Mollie - thank you very much) and the Asian crispy duck salad which seemed to be bottomless and my father thoroughly enjoyed. For main course we had the chicken, mushroom risotto and sea bream, which were all delicious and for dessert the ladies had the pan a cotta and from the oooh’s and ahh’s I think they were a success. Thank you to the chefs for a delicious meal.We had a lovely relaxing time and will definitely be coming back!

One of the best meals we have had in a long time! Visited after a recommendation on a break to the Cotswolds and we were not disappointed. Very good COVID measures in place too. Can’t wait to go back

The best Covid 19 precautions I have encountered so far - everything is done to make you feel safe.This is a very attractive restaurant. We were five (ages 15-80) plus two well-behaved dogs. Two of us had an unusual mini starter of crackling and apple sauce. I say mini because it was half the price of regular starters but it was not a mini portion. Long, thin tasty strips of crispy crackling came beautifully presented My husband loved his delicious starter of scallops. All of the main courses were of a very good standard. I asked for my steak to be medium but there wasn't any pink and it looked more like well done. Nevertheless, it was tender and very tasty. My panacotta pudding was perfect.A note of caution though. In my experience most venues do Sauvignon Blanc as a house wine by the glass so I blithely ordered a large glass, without consulting the drinks list, and opted for one from New Zealand as it is my favourite. As I was not in a five-star hotel I assumed the cost would not be excessive but we were billed £11.00 for it. I know I was at fault for not checking the wine list before ordering but the waiter could have alerted me, when I asked for a large glass of s.b., that they didn't do it as a house wine. I would then have gone for a Pinot Grigio, which they do offer by the glass, at a fair price. All the other drinks were reasonably priced and I had a very nice small glass of merlot, which was only £3.50. Apart from this omission the service was very good. We checked when we got home and this NZ Sauvignon Blanc is available at a really modest price. As we assume the restaurant would pay a trade price, it appears to be a mark up of more than the expected x 3.

Let’s put it this way; water is wet, the sky is blue and this food is good. That is all I have to say on the matter

Excellent food with service to match! In the current situation we felt very at ease and relaxed, allowing us to have a lovely Sunday roast dinner. Make sure you get some cauliflower cheese as it’s amazing! Beautiful restaurant and warm friendly service. Can’t wait to return.

The food and service at The Fuzzy Duck has always been excellent. Now with Covid they have mastered the art of giving you a great night out and making you feel they have taken every sensible Covid precaution so that you can concentrate on your night out and not worry about anything else. Lots of space and professionalism from the moment you arrive.

Fuzzy Duck is back, after a break, due to Covid. It’s still as good as ever whilst practicing safety guidelines. We felt safe whilst enjoying a much needed night out and a delicious meal. Staff were brilliant. All the best to the Fuzzy duck

泊まっていたB&Bから歩いて数分の「Fuzzy Duck」へディナー。宿のオーナーに予約して貰おうと思いましたが留守で頼めない(泣)TELは苦手なので直接お店に出向き予約。近くて良かった！時間になり主人と歩いて2,3分、お薦めのスコッチダッグエッグとリゾット等頂いてビールとワインでお腹いっぱいに。いつも残念なのはデザート迄行き着かない事です。帰る頃(pm8)頃はお客さんで一杯でした。

Delicious meal on a Friday evening.. scotch egg to start which was to die for. I had the ‘chicken and chips’ was absolutely delicious the truffle and Parmesan fries are out of this world. My hubby had sea bass which he said was lovely ...All round nice place for a treat, with a nice atmosphere! We will be sure to return, thank you!

Four of us met here for dinner before none of us could venture out to enjoy such pleasures. We had not been here for sometime and enjoyed it very much. I had the crab thermidor tart and it was delicious, followed by a double baked cheese souffle, also delicious. My dining companions enjoyed a crab risotto, duck breast , salmon and calves liver which all went down very well. Two of us indulged ourselves with a raspberry Eton mess for pud which was extremely rich and gorgeous but almost too much! Our only complaint about the evening concerned diners on the next door table. One of them had a voice like a foghorn and it was piercing in the extreme. At times she was so loud, it prevented normal conversation on our own table! Nothing the staff could do about it but I know what my friend's husband would have said to her had he been with us! It was Race Week and they had all clearly been to Cheltenham and were in high spirits but it shouldn't have impacted on us. I wasn't sure why we had been seated all at the same end of the restaurant, they could have spaced us out a bit more.

Great venue. Very stylish and relaxed. We were greeted by friendly and professional staff and the service throughout was excellent. Not rushed at all and the food was amazing, both looking and tasting great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and we will be back! Thank you.

We had lunch here with friends. The ambiance was very cosy with a nice fire. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with a good choice.The toilets were very clean and modern. We will definitely return The downside was parking. They had a conference and therefore the parking in the pub car park was very tight. I am guessing that normally parking is good.

We stayed at the Fuzzy Duck over the weekend and have nothing but praise for both the food and the staff . Yes upon arrival we were welcomed by the bar staff who couldn’t have been more welcoming. We were shown to a lovely ( if quite small ) room.We are in the restaurant where the food was again of good standard , I had the pork my partner a combination of starters . Overall a lovely little establishment and well run by fantastic staff . Thanks for reading my review

What a great find. This place has everything you could want for a fantastic stay. Fabulous room with everything you could need after enjoying the recommend ‘ Fuzzy Duck Waddle’ around the local area. Dinner was perfect. Delicious food in a fabulous setting. We will definitely be back.

Visited the area for a short break and decided to have a meal at The Fuzzy Duck. From the moment we walked in we felt everything was right about the place. Staff, decor, seating all very welcoming and comfortable. Drinks were very cold and food was very hot. Just as it was meant to be. Then this starter happens "Shredded duck leg bubble & squeak, poached egg & English mustard hollandaise" and basically, game over. No matter how good the rest of the meal was going to be - and it was good - couldn't ever beat that starter. Then another shock at the end of the meal - but in a good way when they gave us the bill. I am not going to say how much it was because everyone has different expectations of price, but the night before we had a 'fine dining' experience at another venue and that was twice the price & half the quality of the Fuzzy Duck. I think this was the best restraunt I have visited in a long time. To summarise, superb place, superb staff, superb food and a superb priceTo boot!

Great food and comfortable pub. We called late in the afternoon and they squeezed us in for the evening. The food was very tasty and excellent serice. Will definitely be back when in the area.

We visited twice in one weekend (one dinner and one lunch). This is one of the most outstanding restaurants we have been to (London included).

Hard to fault unless you were being really, really picky. We each had different choices for each course and they were all excellent. I would say I preferred it to the Hand of flowers because it exceeded my expectations.

Made an impromptu visit and the staff were luckily able to fit us in; they had Sunday lunch menu only, lots of choice amazing value for money beautifully presented and very well cooked the kids menu was great too and we will definitely come back

We were looking forward to our visit for Christmas Day lunch as was not disappointed, in fact, we were all blown away! Wow, what a fantastic experience. All staff were friendly, professional and extremely efficient. We loved the “non plastic” Christmas Crackers too . The food though was exceptional. We have had many Christmas Day lunches out over the years but none to top this. Could not fault on any level. My only gripe, and this is down to my own personal taste was that I would have preferred actual Christmas Pudding instead of a tart version but it was delicious none the less. We were given a lovely gift to take home which was a really nice touch. If you don’t go here to eat your are missing out. When can we book for next Christmas , needless to say, we can’t wait to return.

Lovely ambiance (especially for the Christmas festive period) and excellent service. Very professional. Food, pudding and drinks all very good. Fantastic selection on the menu. ( Was there for my son's 18th birthday celebration lunch so it was a wonderful surprise for him to find a birthday card and a gift from the Fuzzy Duck.sitting on the table. Very thoughtful and lovely touch...Thank you! Also appreciated they went the extra mile by arranging for a delicious chocolate birthday cake for the occasion too ) Recommended and will definitely return.

I hosted a Christmas lunch for a party of 18 at The Fuzzy Duck. In the private room - the Garage. The location, the premises, the food, the staff, the value for money and the experience were simply fabulous. Also, I have eaten there on a normal basis in the restaurant. It is simply excellent. Thanks to all the staff - it would be inappropriate to mention any one as they all have the same courteous and welcoming attitude. Look no further although I do know they are inundated with guests at the weekend.

Excellent Sunday birthday lunch. Food was delicious and came promptly. Staff were friendly, organised and couldn't do enough to help. Very child friendly. Hugely enjoyable afternoon. Will definitely recommend and return.

This was a new venue to meet a friend - we always try to select places around Stratford- upon Avon as it is a decent distance between where we both live. It was a very positive experience- we got a very warm welcome and attentive service from the staff. The food was plentiful, of high quality and the cost was very reasonable overall. Only one negative- we got a 2pm Sunday lunch slot and the car park was already full which meant we needed to park on the verges in the village.

Visited on a Friday evening. Pub was busy but our table was ready. Good choice of "gastropub" type food. Good service. Will definitely be back.

Mi novio y yo pasamos la noche en el pato difuso y ¡qué gran experiencia! La habitación era pequeña pero acogedora y bien para una noche! Gran ducha y cama excepcionalmente cómoda! Lo único pequeño es que el té y el café no se proporcionan en la habitación sino fuera de todas las habitaciones que estaban fuera de nuestra puerta y alguien hizo algo a las 6:30 am, lo que nos despertó, pero es solo un pequeño problema.

Sunday lunch treat with my daughter her husband and my girlfriend. Superb in every way. We all absolutely loved the food.

Gran lugar y no he estado por unos 6 meses. ¿Lo que ha sucedido? ¿Se ha hecho cargo? El viejo personal no podía hacer lo suficiente por ti, estos dos muchachos necesitan que te recuerden hacer lo básico. Perro en el restaurante! ! La comida de mi amigo estaba bien, pero mi Fish and Chips (normalmente para morirse) no estaba a la altura de todos modos cerca del estándar Fuzzy Duck. Los altos precios de la comida muy normal, me temo. Es una pena ya que me encantó este lugar.

Tuvimos un par de amigos estadounidenses que se quedaron con nosotros durante el fin de semana y decidimos probar el pato difuso otra vez, ya que no lo había sido desde que mi hijo fue acusado de casi 20. 00 por un vaso grande de vino blanco!

This small restaurant is excellent. The food was first rate, and the service was more than adequate. Parking is limited

Visited for lunch as staying nearby. Had sandwiches which were good, served with massive chips and a small pot of salad. Our favourite local gastropub has recently closed and, unfortunately, nice enough as the Fuzzy Duck is, it is not as good as the other was. The pub is quite stylish and the staff were pleasant but we were unsure we wanted to pay its fairly high prices for an evening meal based on the lunchtime visit.

We visited this restaurant whilst in the area, as it was recommended, for Sunday lunch and we must say it was fantastic. The staff, ambiance, food and wine were all excellent. We highly recommend and we will certainly be back.

We recently moved to the area and had been before so we were expecting another great meal. However the £30 steak although cooked as I asked for was mainly fat. Which we disappointing for a sirloin. Also only one of us could drink and that clearly was a problem. The staff were attentive but clearly as there was only 3 of us and we only had 2 courses (we all had steak) they were simply not interested. Lots of staff to serve but obviously we weren’t spending enough to be welcome there. For the 3 of us and only one glass of wine it was £150, which I gues is the normal price for a English pub food but I did expect better for that price. We won’t be back for a third visit it’s not good enough to charge those prices for pub food (even fine dining pub food) and although the furnishings are lovely it’s just not consistent on the quality.

We stayed here for a birthday treat, the room we stayed in was very stylish and comfortable, with a luxurious shower room, including a range of Baylis and Harding complimentary toiletries, bottled water, and a tea and coffee station.

This is a nice venue for an evening out with friends.The food was excellent, good beer and the service was very efficient.The ambience was great and very relaxing, will definitely be returning.

Food was well presented and tasty, and service was good even on a busy Saturday evening. The dining area was beautifully and tastefully decorated.

My husband and I booked a night at this establishment to celebrate his birthday. The village is small but very pretty and the Fuzzy Duck is the heart of the village. The staff are amazing, the food excellent and the rooms are decorated to a high standard. Breakfast was delicious with locally sourced produce. Would I stay here again, a you bet I will.

This pub is what I'd imagine would happen if a private equity firm decided to buy and run a posh pub in the countryside.. nicely done up, but not very warm and lacking in generosity or real character. Food was tasty enough but rather forgettable (excellent scotch egg, mediocre roast dinner) and not good value. Service staff seemed to be really just going through the motions without much care or genuineness and were just a little too annoying with the constant upselling (really, are more sides with Sunday lunch necessary??). All feels rather corporate, as if the owners were ready to pounce on a neighbouring village to set up fuzzy duck part 2 and wanted to standardise the offering as much as possible. For us city dwellers, not sure this is what we were after as an experience.

We stumbled across this place trying to find someone nice to eat on the way back from the Cotswolds. It's not a old place, it looks like a new build but oh my ... the food was delicious and good value. We had Sunday roasts which was hot and plentiful. So much so we didn't have dessert! But check your bill; we were charged for an extra drink and bizzarely a donation to something I had never heard of!

Great setting, inside and out, and the service was good throughout. Food was fantastic, and reasonably priced considering the portion sizes.

Delicious food and good value. We were a couple who had 3 courses, plus bread and olives and a bottle of wine for just over £100. The Scotch Egg starter and Eton Mess pudding were both outstanding. The service was friendly and we were able to eat at our own pace. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely superb lunch in a beautiful restaurant! The menu is seasonal and very well thought out with ‘pub classics’ still available (they are done exceptionally well) and plenty of finer options. The wine lists are great, and although we didn’t venture down this route, the desserts sounded divine! All of the front of house team were attentive and brilliant, without being intrusive at any time. I cannot recommend The Fuzzy Duck enough. We will definitely return.

Loved our stay at the Fuzzy Duck food was delicious best fish dish I’ve eaten, staff were friendly and the service exceptional. Vel is the perfect host nothing was to much trouble, they made us feel very welcome room was beautiful with huge statement bed with roll top bath.

My Wife and I and two friends went here on 10th August for dinner. We had a most wonderful meal in a nice atmospher at a very reasonable price. We were well received and the staff were very attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I was looking for a charming English country style pub with an interesting menu. The FD has an excellent menu offering some traditional pub meals and some innovative yet not too funky options. The milk honey oat bread is a very nice starter as is the mackerel . The mushroom soup is thick and the truffle oil is a very nice touch. The fish and chips were tasty and fresh enough though I couldn’t eat too much of the batter. The beef steak was generally well done though a small section was overcooked. Overall food is above average. Service is attentive , prompt and helpful - adding to the pub charm. The decor is really nice with little items- ducks , lamps , the fireplace which give the place an extremely warm and inviting touch.

Thoroughly enjoyed a delicious lunch in this beautiful setting. The food was great - particularly the risotto starter and Dover sole ... mmm!

Have stayed overnight at this pub on a couple of occasions in the last 3 months and have been highly satisfied both times.The rooms are modern with tasteful décor and of a very good standard.The pub itself is a very pleasant place indeed to dine at.Whilst the food is somewhat expensive it is of a high standard(the breakfast was probably the best I have had anywhere).Outside there is a large garden with a large grassed area and a lovely decked area just outside the breakfast room.However you need to get there early in the evening as the car park quickly gets full.

This is such a lovely pub and food amazing. The prices for the set menu is very reasonable and the staff are so friendly and attentive to every detail.

Amazing pub with absolutely fantastic food. Service let it down slightly - the bill was quite literally dropped on the table without her (I believe manager) even looking at us.... when you spend that extra for lunch you sort of expect a bit of pampering but could’ve been just one of those days we’ll give it another go

Ordered Crab tart as starter and Sea Bass main. Both were excellent with great flavours and real attention to detail. Partner had duck pancakes followed by lamb coated with panko. Equally delicious. Very good service, timely and cheerful but not over the top. Busy and buzzy on a Saturday evening. Be sure to get there a few minutes early as car park is not huge.

Booked a table with friends while we were visiting the area and so pleased I did. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals in a stylish, comfortable restaurant with pleasant and attentive service.

We stayed here for one night as a stopover coming back from Cornwall and it was a great choice. We reserved a table for a meal in the evening & the main menu had a some lovely sounding dishes, but there was also a 2 or 3 course fixed price option which we decided to go for as that had dishes which we both fancied. The main course of chicken was really tasty, but the winner of the night was the 'outstanding / world class' (in my opinion) sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Sweet but not overly so, plenty of sauce, lovely ice cream and not too heavy as can be the case sometimes. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful, loads of choice & served in a room overlooking the garden at the back of the property. The room was nicely appointed & whilst not massive had everything you needed (although the kettle / tea & coffee is shared on the landing of the upper floor & not in each individual room-but this really wasn't any issue). All the staff we encountered were really pleasant & we would be happy to stay here again.

Very high standard of food - my salmon and asparagus was cooked to perfection and looked beautiful. Delicious rhubarb cheesecake to finish off. My husband enjoyed his father's day roast dinner with extra meat and a thoughtful gift at the end of the meal. The decor and layout of this place is beautiful. The garden looked lovely but it was a little on the cool side to sit out!

Made reservations for the first night we ate here ( two nights in a row). Unfortunately I mixed up the days and we didn’t have a reservation but were seated at one of the two unreserved tables. The food was outstanding- we split the duck spring roll, he had the pork chop, I had the duck confit and we ended with the chocolate desert. It was so good - taste, presentation and service that we had to return. Second time was just as good - warm crab tart to start and he had the lamb and o had a double order of the starter scallops. OMG - seriously some of the best food ever. Limited but adequate wine list. I would go out of the way to eat here.

Booked a table for 6 a couple of weeks out for a family get-together (you need to book early for a Saturday night)!

Decided to pop in as we had our Wedding reception there years ago and thought it would be nice to re visit. It was a Bank Holiday but there seemed to be plenty of staff on. We were seated quickly and drink orders taken. Drinks arrived and then that was it. We had to ask for a menu, then we waited and waited and waited. Eventually we managed to ask a member of staff if we could order our food. What was not so good was that there was a another couple, with a small child sitting opposite who we could see had being waiting to be served even longer than us. They complained to the manager. The food when it arrived was superb, so well done to the back of house staff. I had the Fish and chips, that came with a pea puree and home made tartar sauce. My wife had a Vietnamese type role /wrap which she said was the best ever. So overall a game of two halves, excellent food, let down by disappointing service. Maybe this was a one off, I hope it is.

This was our third visit. We love the Sunday Brunch. You never feel rushed. The staff is very welcoming. We can highly recommend it.

Reading the reviews our hopes were high, and after having quite a long lunch here with friends this week - our anticipation was immediately rewarded by the friendliest of welcomes, a superb meal, great wine and all served by charming and attentive people who helped to make this an occasion one that we shall all remember for a long time. After a few emails to Vendula good to meet her not someone behind a computer screen, just a quick visit to pick up a gift meal voucher I did not intend to stop but a bar meal had to be ordered. I was served by Alice who quickly brought the curry and chips to me outside on a lovely sunny Tuesday. This is my second visit to the Fuzzy Duck first one was a nights B&B; stay after a wedding near by.

Popped in by chance, not much of an atmosphere even for a lunchtime session however the food was good.

Came here as part of my 60th birthday celebration with my wife & 2 friends. From the moment we entered the reception area nothing was too much trouble, friendly polite staff who were more than prepared to make our overnight stay a really nice experience. The two rooms we were given were clean & very well presented with plenty of space and generous amounts of free toiletries.

Lunch at The Fuzzy Duck was excellent - from the welcome to the mojito to the great and friendly staff to the most delicious food! 5 stars all round.

Visited on the strength of previous reviews and have to say we were not disappointed. Beautifully presented bar and restaurant, welcoming staff and fantastic food. Absolutely delicious. Plotting our next visit... 😉

As a vegetarian I often have lots of choice but the food can be fairly bland. I opted for the pea and Parmesan risotto without thinking too much of it and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. The service was first class and the decor was absolutely stunning. I can’t wait to go back at some point soon!

The Fuzzy Duck has been on our ‘to try’ list of local pubs and we definitely weren’t disappointed. We tried one of the circular walks (print outs in the pub)and although on local roads, it was quiet and a nice way to see the area. We enjoyed the sunshine in the rear beer garden and a delicious three course lunch. The food is more expensive than your average local but lovely and Gastro pub style with good portions. Welcoming and very dog friendly, will certainly be back.

First time we have been and if we were more local, we would be returning without a shadow of a doubt. We were greeted by very friendly staff and the pub itself was very welcoming. The food was quite expensive (£8 for a starter and £20 for a main) but I have to say, the quality was there and the portion are generous. All I can say is we have thoroughly enjoyed our Easter lunch. Highly recommended as a nice treat.

Mi esposa y yo habíamos escuchado buenas críticas sobre la calidad de la comida que se sirve aquí, así que decidimos averiguarlo por nosotros mismos. No pudimos reservar una mesa por la noche, así que elegimos ir a almorzar. ¡No nos decepcionó! Cada plato fue perfectamente preparado y presentado y muy sabroso. Como era buen viernes, elegí comer pescado para principiantes y platos principales. Los músculos fueron los mejores que he probado y la salsa que acompañaba al salmón y las gambas lo complementaba perfectamente. Nuestra camarera fue muy amable y servicial y nos dio la cantidad correcta de tiempo entre los cursos. Los vinos llegaron a la temperatura perfecta. Mi único comentario ligeramente negativo fue la falta de helado como parte del Affogato. Una vez que vertí el espresso y el licor (lo cual pensé que era la intención), no pasó mucho tiempo antes de que la mayor parte del helado se hubiera derretido. Unas encantadoras horas pasadas en un bello entorno al sol!

Gran ambiente, maravillosa ginebra y tónica.

Having heard about this pub for a long time, I finally booked a table for my husbands birthday and we were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent and would definitely go back for a special occasion.

Esto fue recomendado por nuestra hija, así que organizamos un almuerzo de domingo con nuestros queridos amigos que viven en los Cotswolds. Ninguno de nosotros había estado aquí anteriormente y qué agradable sorpresa fue el Pato Fuzzy. No es un lugar enorme, pero está muy bien reformado a un estándar gastronómico muy alto que presenta un ambiente de calidad único. La elección de la comida fue excelente, con algo para todos, y todos nosotros pensamos que la comida y el lugar eran muy buenos y que vale la pena considerar para otra visita. Estaba muy ocupado pero eso no parece estropear nuestra experiencia. Si hubiera sido un día más tranquilo, el único punto de retroalimentación sería que la música de fondo se podía bajar un poco o apagar, ya que distraía la atención antes de que todos llegaran cuando estábamos allí. . . ... No dejes que esto te desanime, volveremos a comer allí.

Cenamos en un día de primavera gloriosamente soleado y después de haber llegado sin una reserva para un almuerzo improvisado mientras nos dirigíamos al cercano Broadway; fuimos recibidos inmediatamente por Lawrence & Jane, quienes nos brindaron el servicio más amigable y servicial a lo largo de nuestro almuerzo, lo cual fue especialmente bueno dado que teníamos un niño de cinco (5) meses en nuestra compañía.

Stayed over in the hotel too, very nice, if not a little pricey. The food was excellent and the service sublime. What beautiful little village Armscote is.

Absolutely beautiful place to go. It's beautifully decorated and very well looked after.

As a group of just over 20 friends we were given the exclusive use of the private dining room for our Saturday evening meal.
