Spent a wonderful evening watching young rock talent. A great venue.

Great niche venue to experience fantastic live music from quality musicians / singists without the fuss and racket of an arena. Proper gig!!

Lovely venue. Great communication via FB, too. I left my cardigan behind, and one of lovely staff members came out of the venue to find me to hand it to me!! Definitely 5stars👍

My kinda music pub, super set up, excellent friendly staff, class management....reminds me of the London Music pub venues in the late 70's Punk/New Wave gigs, I used to frequent....thank heavens these venues are still alive and kicking.....an absolute must go to venue, if you're visiting York....and of course love, live, loud music....🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Hilarious. Amazing and friendly. Stumbled on a punk night whilst visiting and bumped into a friend from home. Wish we got the promotef womans name as she was brilliant and appreciated out police with ice cream van sirens idea!

Spent the weekend at Jorvik: Bridge of Destiny festival and it was magnificent. The staff, the sound and the venue in general was fantastic. I’ve played the venue before and had a great time then, but felt I should leave a positive review as it’s well deserved. Thanks for everything and for putting up with a lot of heavy drinkers - your team are an asset to you!

The place is nice for gigs, sadly my new friend Deb is very very rude, not going into details but me and a the bunch I was with decided to ask for drinks with the other young lad behind the bar, we went to have a good time and she kinda ruined the mood, just until we had a very nice chat with Steph, well done Steph, keep being so nice… Deb, please go home, get another non customer facing job and let someone else nice to deal with customers

One of the best local gig venues around. Always a great atmosphere, and some surprisingly big acts for an intimate venue.

Great acoustics great atmosphere but waaaay too warm.....everyone was sweating buckets. Sadly the stage is too low so could not see Birthday Massacre at all. Had to resort to watching on the screens.

Excellent venue with a proud history of putting on top quality acts. One for the Road festival 2022 was a brilliant mix of old favourites, unknown (to me) and local bands. A great mix of musical genres, though they did run out of beer 🤣

Student music venue, just not my scene.

All staff, management and locals were SO warm and friendly and welcoming. Haven't felt that safe in a pub for years (I am from Coventry so maybe that's why) will definitely be back!

Great intimate music venue, good beer prices ,friendly staff and they book brilliant bands. Went to see City Snakes , Huntergatherer (both great bands)and the headliners The False Heads who were epic. Absolutely loved it. Get a ticket and go

Often attend here for gigs. Can become very crowded, and visibility can be poor for shorter patrons as the stage area is only a small riser. There is a TV screen with a camera view of the stage, so all is not lost. A well-stocked bar has alcoholic, alcoholhfree and soft drinks.

Confused by the toilets but that's just daft me! The Bug Club were fantastic, pints of Timmy T's were good and cheap enough and it was a fair amount of people in, not too full but enough allowed in to make it a proper crowd. Some miserable folk on the floor but the venue can't control the clientele! Great night

Great backstage area with large rooms shower bunk bed tea & coffee. Venue had great sound & great turn out for a Sunday, also great staff. Highly recommended.

Excellent pub warm friendly atmosphere great food. Found us a table with half an hour notice on Saturday night. Arrived to a busy pub but not over crowded and nothing was too much trouble

Massive beer garden, good selection of drinks on tap

super accommodating staff, they have an incredible beer garden which is huge, really great experience. Alternative people friendly. Felt incredibly safe, away from the hussle and bustle of town. Fully recommend this little gem of a venue.

One of the best sounding small venues within the UK. I have been to the Fulford Arms as both a customer and as a performing band and on all occasions I have been welcomed by friends staff, which isn't as common as you may think within UK Venues from my experience. If you have a free night while travelling to York or live within Yorks catchment area and love live music and a pint, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not checking this place out. Parking is also available, which is also a rare novelty!

Top venue in york great bands and a thriving scene. Big beer garden and parking through the archway leading to the rear of pub. Really easy to get to as well for York as its on the main A19 Fulford Road Selby turn off A64
