Everything was just amazing from start to finish we all had the most wonderful time the foods was delicious, nothing was too much to ask for, we felt so welcomed, there was no waiting which was amazing. The staff was so friendly and Ruby was just lovely. We will definitely be coming back in the future and will recommend this place. 5 stars all round

Regular visitors to this restaurant, always a pleasure,usually on a Sunday, as their Sunday Roasts are second to none. We had beef and Turkey this time, generous portions, cooked to perfection, washed down with San Miguel. Excellent service from Sue and the crew, smiles on faces, nothing too much trouble, looked like they enjoyed being there doing their jobs. What a refreshing change from some other restaurants. If you want great food and service at reasonable prices, look no further! Well done staff 🍺

We go regularly to the foxglove for meals but was disappointed with the new menu on offer, I had steak which was very nice but asked for salad instead of chips and all I got was lettuce nothing else, the lunch time menu is not has good has the old one

This was a special 70th birthday weekend away from Hampshire with my two daughters, their partners and four grandchildren. Our visit yesterday round off the weekend beautifully. Thank you for the great service we had, despite being very busy!

We really enjoy coming to the foxglove for a meal. It is always a really welcoming atmosphere and the we are always greeted with a smile. Regardless of how busy it is the staff always have time for you. There is a good selection of drinks and a menu that has enough on it without being overwhelming. The food is fantastic and is the best around for the money. We I'll continue to keep going back to the foxglove because it ticks every box, it never let's you down and you never leave hungry or disappointed.

It was cleaned and the surface was very good and the staff were very nice and helpful 👍

I came to celebrate my mum's birthday, the welcoming was brilliant, the waitress was amazingly polite and the food was absolutely delicious. Myself had the pie of the day and it was delightful. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family

Absolutely love this place. The staff are so welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. I first visited following a recommendation by several friends and have since become a frequent visitor. The food is extremely good and portions are decent. I would, and have recommended The Foxglove to others. Special shout out to Hilary who always takes time out to chat and just makes the experience that little bit more special xx

We had a wonderful time with friends at The Foxglove! We hired their Garden Room as there were over 40 of us meeting for food and drinks. The food was great and the staff all lovely and very accommodating. It really is a fantastic venue and would highly recommend. It’s a lovely place to pop for a drink and a meal and has the added bonus of being able to cater for larger parties in the Garden Room. Thank you to Tony and all staff. We’ll definitely be back!

Great food. Lovely staff and lovely atmosphere

This wasn't our first visit but we won't be coming again anytime soon my main was Gammon which always ask for it to be as lean as possible due to me having a intolerance to fat in fully understand it is impossible not to have some rind on but it was terrible the rind was very thick and both the pieces had fat running through them to top it off the chips were full of grease I was offered something else but due to being a diabetic and as I did attempt to eat some of the meal I was restricted to what I could eat it. My husband who never complains reported to your staff that his Curry was like warm we are both really disappointed Even though I was not charged for my meal and my husband meal was only charged at half price it the whole experience was very disappointing and has put us off retaining

Staff brilliant - food not up to standard today I.e. plate cold therefore food went cold very quickly at the table. Lot on the menu unavailable 😕 Just as an add on the Staff did take money from the bill to compensate but really you want it perfect first time around!

Made us feel like we were a burden ad they had a party happening outside. We were very cold and the staff were more interested in chatting to someone they knew from the baby shower than making sure we were ok

The food was excellent. Staff were quick and efficient, but it would have been nice to see a smile. 7 of us in our group and we all emptied our plates, pudding was amazing too

I haven't been to this place for 4 years, i remember how lovely it was, and that the food was great. We decided to go last minute, a few days after Christmas. The server she was lovely and sweet to us. The food was disappointing and overcooked. Chips were as hard as nails, as I went to stick my fork into the chips, they were that over cooked and hard, they flew across the table into everyone's lap and on the floor , I almost cracked the plate, 😑. I thought that I was in the scene, from the comedy Bottom (Christmas special, the potato scene). The burger was ok, but I felt overcharged, The onion rings were lovely, but the aesthetics of the burger looked smashed together and not as flavourful as I'd hope as the burger looked juicy. I'm so disappointed. In comparison to other restraunt chains. Fox and Crown, Kings Mill Farm. Weather spoons, golden Eagle these Trump this place by far. The server could see the meals were not being enjoyed and saw that the chips from the plate were all over the place, She apologised and asked if we wanted the chef to make up more chips. We declined as we felt that after 10 minutes into our meal and chips everywhere and our burgers already half eaten, we just wanted to finish what we had and leave soon afterward. After visiting, I've heard so many mixed reviews. I hope this was just a one off, I'll visit again in a few years, eh?

So recently visited here, I did request a table near the fire or in a booth, neither were made for us even though both were available. Cider I wanted wasn't available neither was the food I wanted which was disappointing. Saying this the pub itself is nice and the atmosphere was good, not sure if we will be going back though.

Our waitress was excellent. She allowed plenty of time to choose, to order and also to check whether I was ready for mains as I had ordered olives and was nibbling them. There were too many olives and another waitress offered a container to take home. I wanted a dairy free coffee and was told you didn’t do them, this surprised me but she returned quickly to offer me soya milk. I was very happy that she bothered to do this .

Met colleagues for a seasonal lunch .Seating was casual which suited us. Venue was warm and welcoming, as were the staff. Food was quite basic and in my opinion it was overpriced. I asked if I could buy dessert to take home. Bar staff said yes. I ordered the Basques cheesecake with icecream and lemon curd. I paid £6.95 I was given a box with cheescake in. No reduction or alternative for icecream. No lemon curd. This venue stands directly opposite ASDA superstore. I could have bought something far more tasty, exciting ,luxorious if I had just gone to the supperstore. My daughter wanted to taste the cheescake , but she diddnt even eat half. What a waste of money.

We booked the table online a couple of hours before the visit. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. It was table service and we were promptly offered menus and given a few minutes to choose our meals. The same Gentleman that greeted us took our food and drink orders which were promptly served. I can’t remember the Gentleman’s name although he did give it to us on our arrival, I think he may have been in charge. He was very friendly and helpful .

The food was spot on. Service was excellent. I drove all the way from Nottingham due to a previous visit being amazing. I just had to come back.

Service was extremely slow, we’d been there an hour before mains turned up, we didn’t bother with dessert as no one came to take our order after waiting 30 minutes, so paid and left. We had to find a staff member to order mains and drinks. I understand it’s Christmas week but never had such poor service, also didn’t have my first choice of main course, already limited due to being gluten free

Called for food everything was great except for 1 meal. The staff quickly rectified the problem and couldn’t do enough to put things right.

Very good service, i ordered the hunters chicken from the menu but there wasn't much flavour in the meal, Never had a bad meal at the fox glove but was a little disappointed on this visit.

We had an absolutely AMAZING TIME!! We love this pub/restaurant. Its local, it's welcoming, everyone is so friendly. The staff have become good friends We look forward to the Christmas get-togethers and this visit was the end of year quiz. Drum role please...WE WON! £250 second place on the quiz! This definitely made the evening even more better

As usual with THE FOXGLOVE a pleasant welcome, followed by good food at a reasonable price served by helpful staff.

Booking a table for 11 for a family gathering was very easy, I then called to obtain an e mail address so that I could pre order the food. On arrival we were served swiftly but not so as though we felt rushed. All the food was exceptional. The service again was exceptional and much better than other local similar pub/restaurants. We will definitely visit again.

Everything was superb. From arriving, being shown to our table, our waitresses, the service that they provided. The meal was superb! I couldn’t have cooked better myself. You always have concerns that it won’t be great, or the quality is not there, however, couldn’t have wanted for anything better. All staff were pleasant, cheerful and appeared happy. Nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere, although very busy was great. The quality of the food was brilliant, the choice we had had to choose from was great, even down to arranging for two fruit salads instead on the menu starters for younger members of our party. Thank you they made my Christmas Day!

The atmosphere is always very friendly and welcoming. The Xmas Dinner was excellent and the service was great, as always. We will be booking again for next year. A really great all round experience.

Extremely busy when we arrived but the staff looked after us and got us to our table well before our time slot and told us we could take as long as we needed, the service was great and so was the food, will definitely be back soon and would thoroughly recommend! Great job guys!

We booked for our family ladies Xmas jumper evening, 11 in total. As you can imagine we all arrived at different times, some of us extra early (getting the extra drinks in). Straight away our table was made available to us, the waiting staff checked regularly to see if we had all arrived and were ready to order. The service of food was fast and efficient, the food was hot and delicious, festive roast was beautiful. In all we had a great night and the establishment should be proud of the service given to some loud, happy, tipsy ladies. Thank you.

Excellent place very polite & curtious with customers & nothing i mean nothing is too much for the staff. Amelia was of the highest standards that any customer could wish for.

Staff are really friendly, cozy and warm environment and overall great experience

We were a group of 12 , 8 adults and 4 children. The service was great and the food was perfect. No issues at all . Will definitely recommend and visit again soon .

Food ok but service very very slow

The salt & pepper squid was very tough and served in a small bowl so difficult to cut into bite sized pieces. The chicken bacon salad was below average and stringy veins were in the chicken. For the meal we recieved it was poor quality and very overpriced 😢

I came for the through the decades party night with friends, the 3 course Christmas meal was fantastic, there was a great atmosphere and the girls singing were brilliant. You can always guarantee a great night at the foxglove.

Have visited here many times but not in a few months .The food wasn't worth the money ,I had a flatbread and there were 3 tiny peices of Halumi on it for £15.50 ,amongst a poor selection of other ingredients. The veggie burger my hubby had was a sorry state .we're local but won't be visiting again in a hurry . The service was good .

Bar service for ordering food & drink was excellent. Meals arrived in good time. The gammon steak was quit fatty and and had to be cut around and some parts hard to chew. My buttermilk chicken burger, some parts of the chicken was dry and hard to chew. Knowone came back to check if all was OK with our meals & when we had finished our plates were collected without a word. So basically not impressed. I would not say that they were over busy.

Niamh was a great server, she looked after myself and my family very well and was a pleasure to talk to. She was kind, courteous, and answered any and all questions we had. Food was great, I asked for a sauce to be on the side and it was done for me which was very appreciated. Everything was presented very well and it was filling and cooked perfectly. Overall a great place to come out to eat, friendly staff and friendly atmosphere!

I love visiting here with friends and family. Servi e is excellent and the servers very attentive! I usually go for either the steak or burgers both dishes are lovely! Parking is very easy unlike some other pub restaurants nearby who will fine you for failing to give out your vehicle reg.

Great service and very pleasant staff

Attended breakfast with Santa. The food was a real letdown. It was very bland, cold and my niece found a hair on the plate. There was no choice regarding the children’s breakfast nor was there a menu listing what they would be receiving. The adult menu was full English, vegetarian or vegan. The children enjoyed the table activities and visiting Santa.

It was a very busy night in the pub but the service was very good we didn't have to wait long in between each course the food was and we all enjoyed our meals no complaints 😀 👍

On arrival the car park was virtually empty which was unusual, there were very few people dining inside. We ordered our food, my friend ordered a chicken burger, which was very overdone, looked a little pink on the inside, the waitress took it away,said they had had it apart and checked it and assured us it was cooked but asked if my friend still wanted it, to which she refused and was offered a replacement. She opted for a beef Sunday dinner which I had also. It wasnt overly hot, the roast potatoes and veg seemed to have been reheated in the microwave as they were soggy, the gravy and Yorkshire pudding were lukewarm. Nobody at any point came to check on us during the meal, all the staff seemed to be different to the usual one's we see, and weren't overly smiley or enthusiastic. Not great value for money, a shame as we usually have a good dining experience.

Really good pub food and the service was excellent. I can heartily recommend their burgers! The place is really well laid out, meaning you're not packed, in but it still has a good atmosphere.

Booked the table in advance, when we arrived we were allocated a table and we were served straight away we didn't have to wait for our food. The meal was very good value for money.

We attended as a party of 14 yesterday (3/12/23) & I can't praise the staff enough. From the start they were friendly & helpful. Our orders all arrived together & the food was good quality & served at temperature. The staff checked that everything was ok with our meals, as well as checking if we needed anything else. The tables were cleared in a quick manner after everyone had finished. The staff were also happy to take photos of our party for us too. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend here

The service was amazing, the staff were so friendly, welcoming and attentive! We were all super impressed. The food was incredible, presented beautifully and served very quickly. We didn’t feel rushed and couldn’t have asked for more from the team. We loved it so much we booked for Christmas 2024 as we left!

Excellent service and excellent staff

We came here for our Christmas work do. We paid for a 3 course meal and a band was playing. The value for money and what you got was really good, you also got a glass of prosecco on arrival included. The food was incredible, it was by far the best meal I've had on a do. The portion size was really good and the quality of food was amazing, I was also impressed with the homemade Yorkshire too. Will definitely be returning here.

Good food with friendly and efficient service

Booked online with table service. Arrived to be told no table service and what did I book through staff member seemed a bit off that we has booked at all. Told only place to sit was near bar area and,was ushered over there where was told can sit anywhere here. Food was good no complaints on that side just customer services does leave a lot to he desired as places always push for to book in advance.

We popped in on Saturday after a party at jangos, so Saturday we sat near the door to go outside, which we didn't like. But is was busy and we didn't complain. And Monday meal was just as good as Saturday. Definitely coming bk.

Absolutely great food and our waitress was very kind and helpful too accommodating my vegetarian diet needs.

We normally visit frequently at tea time but popped in for lunch to find the meal very disappointing. The club sandwich had 2 small scraps of bacon and 2 very small bits of chicken. The rest was lettuce and tomato. The pot of chips is getting very small. For nearly 9.00 a meal we won't be repeating this in future

Great service, and helpful staff , good food

Booked online really easy. Greeted in restaurant by lovely welcoming lady. Seated quickly and order taken. We took advantage of the 30% off offer! The food came out quickly. Well presented and hot! We both commented how nice it was and are considering trying your Sunday lunch. Service was really good by everyone.

We had a party of 22 for a family get together. Ruby was our waitress and she was fantastic. All the food came out together and hot, and no mistakes. The food was delicious.

I contacted the foxglove to hold my nan's 90th birthday meal, which would host persons coming up from all over the UK and America. We had two wonderful leaders helping us throughout the evening which were Steph and Maisie. These two young ladies are an absolute credit to your company nothing was too much for them they made everybody feel welcome and everybody commented on what wonderful young ladies they were. I would come back again just to be served by these two they were honestly wonderful I cannot thank them enough I'd also like to say thank you to the pub on a hole as your team were fantastic in getting the meals out in one and there are so many comments about how amazing the food was especially the revive stakes they had so many compliments. I would definitely come back again to host another party if any company in the future as we could not think of a friendlier more welcome pub than the fox glove. So thank you to the whole team so they can my grandmothers 90th birthday meal memorable. Kirsty

The service was great, but the food was not. We ordered a smoked salmon salad from the ‘specials’. The salad was particularly poor. A lot of lettuce and very little else. There was definitely nothing special about it
