Great place for sports and a good atmosphere. Went there with a group of friends, and the service and overall experience were great I was served by Valter. I think he's the manager, very good experience thank you

Long wait for food (50 mins). Ordered plain chicken got breaded (didn’t moan as couldn’t wait another 50 mins) hot sauce was far too hot. Baked potato lovely. OH had mixed grill. His chicken and gammon were fine steak not good enough even at that price. The peas!!!! Rock hard. Frankly this food took far too long as there were very few other customers. Yes it’s cheap but should still be better.

We returned for the second retirement do this year having had good service previously and they reserved the area requested. Unfortunately it was a different team to last time and the service was not upto the same standard. Good value food but one steak with so burnt and longer in the grill and it would have turned into ash! Very disappointing experience and unfortunately it has put me off returning to this very reasonably priced venue.

Fantastic Jacket spud with cheese and bacon...really just sorted it out ready for Karaoke (the hot sauce was the best)!!! Thanks Dave and Team for another fun packed evening.

Well always travel from Gatwick Airport and stop over to go into Horley. Always go into the foresters for a few drinks and a bite to eat but I have to say never again. On this occasion the food was dreadful, fish finger sub was just filled with pounds hope fish fingers with absolutely no flavour, onion rings were deep fried to an inch of there life they would bounce off the floor and the waffle fries were well over cooked. The other meal had chips that were harder than crisps although the meatball sub was OK.

Had an excellent evening tonight the food was lovely and atmosphere great. Massive thanks to Daz who made our evening. We will be back again soon

Working late next door to The Foresters is a real treat. We ordered our meals and we received it piping hot with big smiles on the faces of the wonderful staff. A gorgeous new make over inside the pub. Always plenty of entertainment. Highly recommended

Went there for Sunday lunch, not too busy. Pub food is good and the portions are big. Couldn't finish the delicious roast beef with Yorkshire pudding! If you're catching a flight from Gatwick and have time for lunch this pub is a good place nearby.

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat after a journey for Gatwick airport, it’s a nice enough pub. There’s no parking on site but just over the road is a council car park which was handy. The burger selection is fun and interesting, I went for the smokey bacon flavour glaze with monster munch and really enjoyed it. We got it in a deal along with a drink for a reasonable price.

Twelve of us for lunch. Everyone who ordered burgers were happy, so maybe go for that! Two of the other orders were wrong, the mac n cheese was very disappointing, there was no tartare sauce for the fish & chips. There were no chicken burgers, no chicken fillets and not enough roast beef for more than 2 wraps. So you get what you pay for really, it is cheap and the portions are reasonable. Still had a good gathering of the family with very average food.

We were staying close by and past this place so we went in for a meal, it has recently been renovated with all new furniture so looks good, as it's a chain the menu is standard dishes and are all Reasonably priced, the food was overcooked a little and I had curry sauce with my meal but had been so long arriving at my table there was a skin on top of it so never had it.

Looked ok from the outside nice old style building. Dreadful inside quite grotty. Locals quiet clicky and don’t welcome outsiders, service dreadful locals served first while we were left standing for about ten mins, unfortunately I was leaning on the bar and my jacket stuck to it as all the spilled drinks are not wiped up. We were going to try the food but decided against it, God only knows what the kitchen is like if they don’t bother with the public areas. Beer reasonably ok though. Avoid if possible.

Just had meal and drink at the Forester. Food was excellent and really good value for money with drink included on some items. Nice pub setting instead of that ‘chain pub’ feeling you get at others places.

The Foresters is a great pub. A warm and welcoming atmosphere always with a friendly clientele. Food is very good and as with the drink it is very reasonably priced. Both Sky and BT for the sports enthusiasts with regular entertainment evenings in the form of karaoke, disco for local artistes this pub has everything going for it. Also due for refurbishment shortly I will welcome the new look.

This is a great place to eat, we stayed at the Travel Lodge Gatwick overnight and went here for something to eat, we wish we could go again! We are a family of 6, 4 kids, and we all enjoyed our meal. We all ate different things and no one was disappointed. The service was great and we'd definitely go back again.

We were staying at the premier inn Gatwick but instead of paying airport prices for food and drink we decided to try something different. We caught the train from the south terminal to horley cost no more than £5.00 return for two.

went to several bars in the area whilst on a night out before flying on holiday the following day. this was the best one in our opinion it had several cask ales all in good condition reasonably priced food and 2 for 1 cocktails outside seating and multiple tv sets with sky sports where we watched ben stokes epic destruction of the austalian bowling attack that pub will live long in my memory

The pub we usually visit pre holiday was closed so I had a browse online for other local pubs that serve food.

Love the atmosphere here. Come for kareoke alot and the new cocktail menu is a great addition. 2 for 1 on glasses and jugs! Anneleise makes an amazing Refresher cocktail. Good values and friendly staff. What more could you want for your local!

We stayed at the Sofitel at LGW prior to our flight and wanted one last good meal. Forester's did not disappoint: it offered a truly "English" style pub from the decor to the TVs to the clientele. The drinks menu is extensive, and the beer list was plentiful! They also have a large food menu but we focused on Bangers & Mash as well as Meat Pies. Both were to die for!! The service was great, friendly, and attentive. Also noticed that they serve breakfast here and the next time I pass through LGW, I will make sure to visit Forester's again!!

We started off in here before traveling to London with a fabulous breakfast. It was cooked to perfection,and there was plenty of food. After our day in London we came back in for a bite to eat and again the food and choice was amazing along with a great crowd of people for the quiz. Thank you to all the team in the Foresters.

This is a great pub in the heart of Horley town, new menu has just launched trying to cater for all, the vegan and vegetarian menu has just greatly been improved too, lots of choices for all food bud tastes.

Visited this pub for a holiday whilst staying in a nearby hotel. The food was lovely and generous portions, we couldn’t actually finish ours. There was a huge selection of drinks available and all the bar staff were lovely and friendly. This pub is what you would describe as a ‘proper boozer’. We’ll definitely visit again if we stay before flying from Gatwick in the future.

Went in for a meal just 5min before kitchen was closing and they still served us. We had the chicken bbq wings and a chicken burger and both were mouthwatering dishes. My daughter booked us in here (all 13 of us) prior to us going on a family holiday. The staff were welcoming and our meals arrived in super fast time.

Went here the other night . very nice pub friendly staff , the food was very good and very hot , also they have spots TV on , the price for the food come to £18 pounds with drinks for two , very good . Ordered a fish finger sub, I got a sandwich which was dry and very fishy, the chips were possibly dryer than the Sahara desert, we also ordered the top side beef melt wrap which also had the dryness of a desert, the cheese was slightly sweaty and had no danger of melting even with the hot weather because the beef had no chance of melting it as it was the same temperature of my cold pint.

The foresters tries hard to compete with wetherspoons and to be fair its pretty close. Good value meals and very good value wines. Good location to town and guest houses.

Always eat here prior to travelling from Gatwick. Amazing value meals and good range of real ale at the bar, as well as a wide range of other drinks and coffee !

Great pub, great bar staff good for locals and for those flying into or out of Gatwick, good range of drinks and food can be a bit busy on Friday and Saturday evening so keep that mind, its a local for a few Canadian airline staff who are on a lay over which is a good sign if out of towners keep coming back!

Husband and I were visiting Horley and decided a good Sunday roast at £6.95 was not bad. I had the beef, hubby had the chicken, served with good size roast potatoes, mixture of peas and carrots, half a large Yorkshire pud, dollop of *smash* mash potato, gravy. Beef a tad on the dry side but very good nonetheless. Followed by a lovely rhubarb almond slice served with lemon sorbet. If you order the main, you only pay £2 for pudding. Very good indeed.

This was what I was expecting when I thought of local English pubs. The beer was good, atmosphere was amazing, and food was incredible!!

Call into the restaurant/pub for a meal almost every time we stay overnight in Horley. Reasonable choice of beer, and good range of traditional food on the menu. Good range of beer, some are guest beers (from memory). Car park on oppositSEBL-LED-0907 (9W LED BULB)e side of the road accessible from massetts road makes visiting easy. Good ato sphere. We all enjoyed the stop.
