The Fish House - Fistral in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Cannot fault this gem of a find! I only wish we were local. Lovely welcoming staff and the food!… so good!! my son about ate his own body weight in the hot shell dish, he’s quite the critic and he says it was the best! I quite agree! Not only that, the portions were very generous! My partner said it was the best meal he’s had in years and years. Thanks guys!

Another top notch experience. Maybe my favourite restaurant in the whole of the uk! Couldn’t fault - food and service perfect in a lovely casual and relaxed atmosphere.

Visiting the area on holiday and booked here for a special meal for our last night. It didn’t disappoint. Really top notch food - focaccia to share as a starter, then mains of hake and tempura cod stir fry with rice. Great desserts of panna cotta and ice cream sundaes. Really quirky setting on the sea front. Couldn’t fault the service. Excellent all round experience.

Walked from Mawgan Porth (7 miles) and thankfully had booked lunch at this lovely little place. The food was once again delicious. The staff and service were friendly and efficient. I love the atmosphere here, it’s cosy and has that cracking view. We were able to take our dog too

We try to get here whenever we are in north Cornwall. It a small restaurant (approx 20 covers inside plus patio) but informal atmosphere and has a great view of the beach . Food and service are excellent. We are working our way through the menu but every dish we’ve eaten has been a treat. The pass is very visible from the dining room and you can see the care that goes in to each dish. Pricing very reasonable given the quality being delivered. If you are nearby then give The Fish House a try - but be sure to book in advance. It’s been busy on each of our visits. Deservedly so.

We booked this restaurant months ago for our trip to Cornwall as we heard it books up fast, we were so looking forward to the meal and was not disappointed, everything was cooked absolutely beautifully, portions were massive, everything tasted absolutely amazing, the staff were so delightful and attentive we didn’t feel rushed at all and had a nice gap in between dishes, when we are back down that way we will definitely be returning.

This place seems to get better everytime we try.it and it got 5 stars the first time we visited. We popped in for lunch on Monday. The hake and spring onion mash was incredible, the monkfish with the cold noodle salad worked so well. My only criticism is there was so much of it we couldn't finish the meal. Cannot wait to return in May for my birthday meal. Well done to everyone involved in this gem of a restaurant

A small restaurant overlooking Fistral beach. What a find! Welcoming and very professional staff, a cosy dining room and absolutely delicious food. The crab risotto is the most fabulous thing I've eaten in years. Will definitely come back.

We had not been here for a while and was looking forward to it. I recall when we originally went the restaurant stocked a superb draught German -style pilsener from a Cornish craft brewery . Unfortunately on the last 2 visits it has had the same bog standard draught lager that they sell in the pub downstairs. Disappointing that a restaurant cooking premium quality food is let down by selling such a poor quality lager/beer.

Amazing. We have been dying to try this place but it’s always full booked during the summer and we can see why. Food was absolutely fantastic. we shared the squid and had mains of crab risotto & Monk fish. Can’t wait to come back

We've been before, so I was looking forward to treating my son to some lovely seafood. Sadly, the sharer we ordered had an overwhelming amount of rather tasteless and rubbery squid, whilst there were only 2 prawns. The side dish of crushed potatoes was, frankly, inedible. Really sad.☹️
