The food is very good with generous portions, which helps to distract you from the fact that you're paying £30 for "fish and chips twice"

Good fish - not just fish and chips

Having been many times since the opening, I'm saddened by the fall from grace suffered by the restaurant. The fish platter we ordered was simply not appealing in any way. We ate less than 10%. I can see why they are now offering half price meals on certain nights, business must be wilting. We couldn't put our finger on it, but everything we ate was not tasty, much of it actually quite nasty. Bizzarely, of our 5 meals ordered, the steak was actually very good and earned the two stars awarded, along with the exceptional service which has always remained of high standard.

Everything was beautifully cooked. We haven't been for years, so we were delighted it was just as good as we remembered.

Had a great long lunch with big family and thoroughly enjoyed it. Needs better no-alcohol beer (I don't believe whoever chose to stock Becks Blue can have actually tried it), but that's the only negative. Top recommendation is the mezze banquet platter - great quality, variety and value (we jumped in before taking the photo, so it doesn't really do it justice). Everyone was very happy, so thanks - we'll be back.

Had the red snapper kebabs and Greek salad, one of the tastiest plates of food I've enjoyed in years. Service was excellent, friendly without being intrusive.

Would not go thear again. Overcooked and burnt food.

We could not have been more welcomed as a large group with two boisterous young children. Our waitress was exceptional showing great patience and nothing seemed to be too much. Thank you for making a special occasion so amazing.

Waited 30 minutes for haddock and when it arrived I think it must have been cooking for that length of time. Uneatable but in fairness we were not charged for it. This was on 8/9/23. So disappointed as we have been going there for years

Calamari starter was good Lobster Thermidor not great Hubby asked for parsley sauce on his fish as didn't want butter > parsley in butter plonked on fish Not my idea of parsley sauce! Fish was bland Asked for rice which was described as plain boiled> Indian spiced with sultanas They swapped for chips but they were soggy wedges........Overpriced

Must say of all the times we have eaten there this was the only disappointing meal we have had. 2 identical dishes ordered. You would never have guessed by looking. Waiting staff were great but there is only so much they can do. Will probably be the last time we eat here. Such a disappointment.

Nice food, interesting varied menu. Catfish curry very nice but needed more fish. Crab starter with dirty chips good, but again, very little crab. Nice pint of British lager. Glass of wine, medium, £6.60. Service on the slow side Saturday afternoon, lady apologised. Not particularly busy.

Fantastic meal which was Skate Wing, chips and mushy peas, service was OK-ish, way busy for one waitress, atmosphere was a chip shop not a restaurant.

Great place to eat. Food and service are excellent.

The restaurant was not busy yet we waited for over 1 hour to get our food and when it arrived it was cold. The lobster was good but the rest of the food was below average. The chips were oily and the greek salad was the tastiest part of our dinner but for £9 was ridiculously small. The waitress was unhappy and never checked in with us. At the end of the meal we were never offered desserts or asked if we wanted anything further. Overall we were rather disappointed as the reviews seemed great and our experience was poor. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Went for late lunch, so restaurant was fairly quiet. Good menu choices, we tried the mixed 2course banquet. Well named, the starter selection was great, but the main was amazing , a whole trout surrounded by different fish portions, all beautifully cooked, with chips and salad. No room for dessert, in fact we had to ask for a doggy bag. Will definitely be going back.

Lunch with my husband was lovely. We were naughty and had 3 courses each. Clean plates all round. Superb food and very good friendly service. Will be returning for their lobster thermidor very soon .

Expecting chips as it stated on the menu with fish , instead some sort of saute potatoes which were not very nice , And desserts are way too expensive, cheapest at £ 7. 60 up to £8.70 ! Won't be in a hurry to go back !

Absolutely beautiful fresh food. We had tacos, mussels and Greek salad. People near us had the curry, the aroma was amazing.

The food was absolutely excellent. Lobster perfectly cooked and delicious, the chips were spot on. Battered fish was spectacular, light flavoursome and delicious. Fish tacos were amazing, definitely would order again. Just wish it was mushy peas instead of frozen peas. Salad was a bit odd too, edamame on what is essentially a Greek salad? Hmm. Service was a bit slow and brusque but probably because the poor woman was all on her own serving the entire restaurant. Would definitely come back, food was perfect and good value to boot.

Delicious fish dinner, really loved the whitebait to start and lobster main, served with a really fresh side salad! Staff were very friendly and accommodating, also recommend the Gavi if you’re after a white wine!

The decor is a bit old school but the food is fantastic, we are slowly working our way through the menu. I'm always surprised that there is queues for the crabshack when a 3 minute walk away this restaurant is far better. Its a lovely spot for people watching and in summer with all the huge windows open it's refreshingly cool.

The noise was unbearable. Seats very hard. Arrived 7.30pm food arrived 8.50pm.

Was hoping to have a meal there for first time today .but spoilt by gormless woman at the bar . I asked for a drink and she said erm erm ..are you eating ..i said yes eventually ..I just want a beer before I sit down ..so she said I'm not sure ...not sure ? What she not sure about someone wanting beer ..oh where you sitting she said ..I said not decided yet ..can I just have a beer before I sit down ...oh hang on she said ..and then it's like she trying to get managers attention ...absolutely Clueless she was ..pathetic woman ...so I I walked out in disgust

Real good fish, plenty of choices.

This was my first visit to the Fish Factory, but it certainly won't be the last. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had a delicious thick cut of cod and chips. My wife had the crab. Both were very good. So it's a big thumbs up from me.

Lovely restaurant with nice staff. Sitting outside in the sun was great even if on a busy road. Calamari was some of the nicest I’ve had in a long time. Dressed crab was fresh & salad accompaniment was lovely. Fish tacos were a big portion & all chips were homemade. 2starts 2 mains and a bottle of wine for just under £70. Excellent

Being a bit of a narrow-minded carnivore I wouldn't normally vote for fish as a restaurant choice but we have pescatarian friends so... I've eaten at The Fish Factory three times and it's been excellent each time. The serving team are friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. It's become a favourite.

We came for lobster but they unfortunately didn't have it. Not sure if we were supposed to mention it in advance? Mushroom Wellington was nice, rich flavours. Menu said it came with chips but I had to ask for them because they forgot. Would recommend trying once and maybe you'll have a better experience.

Decor was a bit strange as if they splashed white and gold paint over the grey cement walls at random. Food took a while to come, nearly an hour but the taste made up for it, it was delicious which was a fish Wellington the fish being a combination of salmon, cod and haddock in a delightful sauce.

Scampi arrived burnt which was returned and its repalcement was burnt on the outside and barely cooked inside (dirty oil or oil which is too hot). Everyones fish was overcooked, batter dark brown and the fish inside dry. The waitress was apologetic and provided a free dessert which my daughter ate. Had heard good things about the restaurant but it was dismal. Will not be returning.

Have visited the fish factory for dinner several times over the past few years and never had a bad meal

Awful food the Dover sole tasted like a over cooked crusty flip flop. The lobster tail was chewy and tasteless. We were given a free Desserts which was the best part.

A wonderful, and long overdue visit.. ..10 years since our last ! Had a beautiful dinner.....skate, huss , calamari.....all gorgeous and expertly prepared by Stuart and his fabulous team. 👌 Perfect 🐟 🐠

We did have a senior set menu but the presentation of the food and quality was not great .their main menu is much better.

We went there for a pre-Christmas dinner with a couple of dozen friends. The food (turkey etc) was OK considering how many of us there were. The service was great and the staff were polite and friendly. We have eaten seafood there on previous occasions and it's one of the best restaurants in town.

Really good seafood, fresh and cooked well. The crab loaded fries and the catfish curry were amazing. I would also recommend the surf and turf. Absolutely delicious. The service was good and food served piping hot.

Great food and can cater for big families. They do a sunday roast as well. Much better than your budget carvery, for a similar price.

Had the seafood platter and scallops to start which were delicious! The mains however were a little underwhelming- batter was too much on the breaded fish. Nice place, reasonably priced and good staff though; thank you!

Delicious food. If you love fish there are plenty of choices. Otherwise there are other options too. Friendly staff. A bit pricey but is good quality for the money. Desserts had less success with my group. They were fine though but obviously not the main focus of the place. But still good enough if you need something sweet at the end

Excellent venue for fish dishes.

Service was nice but food is not great, very disappointed with a seafood, enormous portions and lack of quality. Sorry won't go there again.

You can tell the Food can be very nice but our lobster wasn't very warm when it came out also felt like the none of the staff wanted to be there they didn't welcome us into the restaurant and seat us down and ask us if there was anything we would like when your paying £70 for 2 mains meals and 2 lemonades you expect the staff to make you feel more welcome won't be coming back.

Very good fish and chips with gluten free options and a gluten free fryer, also knowledgeable about coeliac requirements. Nice friendly restaurant. They also do fresh fish unbattered!

The food tastes okay, but is not great. Definitely overpriced for what looks like frozen fish. Not fresh tasting either. Better off going to a regular chippy for a takeaway

Very tasty dishes were enjoyed by us all (cod and chips, risotto and red snapper on skewers). Nice atmosphere, very friendly members of staff. Would definitely recommend visiting The Fish Factory.

Go hungry! Large portions! We shared a seafood platter which was delicious but couldn't finish it all probably because we also ordered a portion of crab fries which were also delicious! Will definitely return!!

Food excellent, but disappointed there was no lobster as promised when booking. Staff great and friendly. Crab Salad was well prepared and presented,and service was prompt.

The restaurant was great a couple of years ago but visited recently and was quite disappointed with the huss that was dripping in fat. The decor looked dated and it felt more like a fish and chips cafe. I wasn't happy given that it's not particularly cheap to eat there.

Visited middle of may as was passing through Worthing and what a lovely find, we had the risotto which was absolutely delicious and the skate which was just as good, our lovely lady waitress was very friendly and attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, our go to place next time we are in Worthing.

Super , freshly cooked fish with a marvellous range of dishes on the menu - including locally caught fish . Very helpful staff . Recommend for any occasion or group size .

So glad we stumbled across this fish restaurant on Sunday evening. The lady server was lovely and the food was fantastic! Paprika whitebait, calamari, beer battered shrimps, skate, pasta and fish tacos - all fresh and delicious!

Lovely welcome from friendly staff. Fabulous menu, I had lobster and chips which came with a mixed salad. Yummy, will definitely be going again.
