We loved this pub so much, we visited twice in one weekend! On Friday night, we had a perfectly cooked steak, and then we visited again for breakfast on Sunday morning. Both meals were wonderful, and as all the other reviews say -the staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Our 5 year old son had a great time! This is a beautifully located pub, with picturesque surroundings. We will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful birthday weekend!

Our Christmas lunch was sadly ruined by some apparently ‘proud’ locals that could not handle their beer or their fowl mouths. The meal was great and the staff were lovely. Absolutely no complaints in either of those areas. We had taken our Mum for Christmas lunch as we will not see her over the Christmas period. The men on the table behind us, one in particular, just got more and more drunk. As the endless drinking continued they became louder and more obnoxious. We tried to ignore them and get on with our meal, hoping that they would eventually leave, but they stayed and drank even more. Eventually I had enough of the continued swearing and lack of regard for anyone else and asked them to calm the swearing down. They said they were locals and that we should piss off……we did leave. Their behaviour had been vile. It’s a shame. If you are a ‘proud local’ you should care about the reputation of your local pub and the livelihood of the people that depend on the income from it…..and maybe learn a few more words 🙄

A group of six, our food arrived promptly and piping hot. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming and deeply relaxing. Sonia the proprietor is an exceptional hostess and has thought of everything. Looking out over water focuses the mind, and the riverside walks up to the old st Saviour's church ruins above wildlife haven Yare valley marshes are nearby with good access. En route try some of the tree ivy or starflower honey only £6 per jar to the honesty box. Perfect for a visit by boat or on foot, the Ferry house also makes the best breakfasts in Norfolk. Recommended - Many Thanks.

We visited with friends this time and it did not disappoint. We moored at the pub for free, the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food was just good old fashioned home cooked food served in huge portions. One of our party had a crumble for dessert and i have never seen such a huge portion. We all had different dishes and they were all lovely. Two of us went the following morning and although we had a bit of a wait again the food was delicious and plentiful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or return

Sadly disappointing anniversary meal. Yorkshire pudding filled with beef and ale. It was a large portion but unfortunately the Yorkshire was just a frozen one and some of the beef was tough. My desert was home made cheesecake and raspberries. I am sorry to say they forgot to put any sugar in the cheesecake or the frozen raspberries. It was very sour only palatable because of the ice cream. At home I eat fresh fruit and plain yoghurt with no sugar added so I don’t have a sweet tooth but even I struggled to eat it. I have to say the staff were friendly but we won’t be returning.

We always come back to the Ferry House as part of our Norfolk broads holiday. There's always a warm and friendly welcome. There are lots of tables inside and out, ample parking and boat mooring with water and electricity, though booking indoor tables and moorings in advance is recommend to avoid disappointment. I'm not a fishermen myself but there were lots of other folk fishing from boats and the bank, who appeared to be enjoying some success.
