Outstanding sunday lunch, all home made & such a variety of meats & vegetables. My new favourite place! Honestly everyone is so friendly & the place is really relaxed. The Chef is amazing. If you want home cooked sunday lunch - this is where you need to be!

We had Sunday lunch there over the weekend - a first visit to this place for us. We were able to help ourselves to the carvery immediately and the drinks came quickly. There was loads of meat and veg options and friendly staff. The food was first class, amongst the best Sunday lunches we’ve ever experienced and we will definitely be returning here.

First time back under new ownership and the experience did not disappoint. We had a great meal (the curry special (half and half, obviously) and the burger). Food and service were excellent. Great value for money. Family and dog friendly. Clean and cosy with wood burner and pool table. Unexpected treat for the dog from the kitchen.

A group of 4 friends went to The Farmers Arms this evening We were greeting by Ryan who was our waiter tonight We sat in the restaurant area, which was clean warm and comfortable . There was also a bar area with a real fire We all had the special this evening of burger and a pint for £12 This really was a special, a large thick juicy burger with bacon, relish, fried onions and salad . It was accompanied by a generous helping of chips, onion rings, coleslaw and a delicious jug of sauce The flavour was outstanding, it was brilliant value for money and in lovely surroundings Ryan was attentive and polite without being pushy and a credit to this establishment We will certainly return and highly recommend this pub / restaurant

Just had an awesome family meal out at the Farmers Arms Llanybri. The ambience of the place has changed hugely for the better under recent change of ownership. Comfortable, well lit and decorated we were served the most delicious food you could wish for. The sea bass was beautifully cooked and tasty, the farmhouse beef on a mash bed with peas and red wine gravy was to die for. The beef just fell apart perfectly. Other family members had fish and chips (equally tasty) , a burger, and the hunters chicken all really cooked well with beautiful presentation. A child’s meal of Mac and Cheese was also a winner. We were served very attentively by a very pleasant young man who went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed including a pudding menu to which we couldn’t say no… 😋😋😋 see pictures of the Sundaes … On top of it all, prices are reasonable for everything too. Can’t go wrong. Definitely be taking friends and family there again. Well done Farmers Arms 😃🙏🍽️

Lovely pub made to feel very welcome by staff and all the locals very dog friendly. Food was excellent we visited 4 out of our 7 nights and will definitely visit again when we are in the area highly recommend

This pub was recommended to us and we were pleasantly surprised at what an amazing experience our dinner was there- went beyond the usual pub standard in terms of quality without being pretentious or expensive. Such a lovely family run pub with friendly and accommodating staff, great pub grub at an amazing value and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Was so surprised at how well it catered to vegans and vegetarians, best vegan meal I’ve had in a long time. Lots on offer for the meat eater too! If you are in the area (only 10 min drive from Llansteffan) it is well worth the visit! Cant wait to visit again soon.

Only staying locally for a week but had our second night tonight. Had the belly pork with the cider sauce...superb! All meals excellent and very friendly and welcoming hosts and staff. The young man who served us had excellent customer service skills, a real asset to the restaurant.

We travelled to Llansteffan with our puppy (large puppy) as we wanted to see if we could begin to take him away with us for weekends away. We couldn't have picked a better pub for us to visit. From the moment we arrived everyone accepted our dog Tommy and made us feel very at ease. This place has amazingly friendly people and the staff were great. I would recommend this pub to anyone who wants to feel accepted into a local community. I would like to thank everyone at the pub on Saturday 7th March.

Went here on a Saturday as a surprise. Never been there before and the road the satnav took us on was a little picturesque (especially when it told us to turn up a muddy lane). But, once we had found the village of Llanybri, at its heart stands The Farmers Arms. One, I was well impressed with the selection of drinks on offer, hadn’t seen Caffreys for years and was very close to having a pint! Two, the food was absolutely excellent. My son had sausage and mash, the other half had fish and chips (handmade chips as well and the fish was stunning). I had one of the nicest pizzas I’d ever had. Can’t praise the place highly enough and we will be back again very soon.

We were staying nearby and 6 of us visited for dinner. We had a friendly welcome by the owners. The food was excellent - we had huge double stacked burgers, local sausages and Welsh cawl (a lamb stew with cheese) which was amazing. The cheesy garlic bread was some of the best I’ve tasted. The only disappointment was no real ale on pump, but the food more than made up for that.

Although we wish the new proprietors every success in their new venue we were a little disappointed. The staff were friendly and welcoming on our arrival and the restaurant was nicely presented. The menu was extensive although each dish was served with chips, portions were not generous but were tasty. Our main disappointment, having introduced our friends to the restaurant, was the delay. With only three tables occupied and already eating our food took nearly an hour to be served. Yes it was freshly cooked but this wait is excessive. It would be nice to support our local restaurant but we were disappointed. Good luck

The pub is a few minutes’ drive from the beach at Llansteffan and appears to have been recently refurbished to a high standard with spotless toilets.We called in on a Saturday lunchtime after a family visit to the village. After ordering our drinks we sat out with our dog in the well-tended garden behind a large car park overlooking a, picturesque, ruined church. The landlady saw us outside and came over to offer treats for the dog.We ordered two rounds of tuna sandwiches and a pate from the ‘light bite’ menu. The sandwiches were well filled with coleslaw and a handful if crisps on the side. The pate and thickly sliced toast were generous with a salad garnish and onion marmalade.Although our food had obviously been prepared freshly we were served quickly by the landlord who informed us that the bar was dog friendly if we would rather eat inside.With family in the area we will definitely return next visit and hope they do well in the future.

Very friendly and accommodating, especially of our 9 month old baby! We were offered a baby size portion of homemade pasta (which he loved) and even leant a bib!The adult food was also delicious and included a good selection of vegetarian options.Wish we were local so we could come more often!

Very disappointed in our visit as this pub is now under new management, and unlike the reviews previously, only sells average english pub grub now. Appreciate it was a quiet Monday night, but anaemic chips, supermarket burger and a lettuce leaf doesn't really impress.

Called in at the end of a very long day walking. The pub was very busy but they set us a table for 5, were very friendly and we were eating fabulous food within 30 minutes. Prices were really good as well. The puddings were the best we have had in a long time.

The only pub in the village. Nicely decorated and friendly staff. We had a Thai meal one night which was tasty, but the portion was rather small, The second time we had fish and chips which was excellent and a burger which was good. The best meal was the Sunday carvery, the beef and pork were lovely and there was a large and varied selection of vegetables.

We had a large group and waited an hour and a half for the first meal, although the food was very nice and presented well, the staff seemed confused on orders and got a few wrong but by the time it came we were too hungry to send back.

This restaurant serves the most delicious authentic Thai food, also exceptionally good British food, also a Sunday Carvery. It is so good you quite literally have to book as it is always full with satisfied customers. The staff are energetic, good mannered and very polite.Just wish I lived nearer I would be there at least once a week. Yes when I am in the area again I will be booking before I leave home.

We had date night here whilst on holiday. We love Thai food and this was good but not the best. It was much more spicy than aromatic and my hubby could not finish his green curry. However the rest was tasty, good value for money and the lady who served us was a delight. Would def return.

Visited for a family meal. The Thai food was very good, as was the children’s food (who were awkward and order off the menu). The service was alright, a little slow but it’s was a busy Friday evening. Worth a visit, would give 3.5 if I could.

We were so impressed we went back twice to try more Thai dishes - all excellent and a wide selection. Probably the best Thai food we have had. They also have a huge selection of standard pub grub for the less adventurous. Very friendly service and very reasonably priced. They also do takeaways.

Four of us went for a emal on a Friday night. It was fairly quiet but there were a number of people eating.

We rented a property opposite this pub,so it was not only handy for food,but produced excellent meals on five seperate visits.GREAT staff,friendly service, perfect in fact,and prices were also good.Will be back next year.

Seven of us went for an evening meal, menu was more or less half Thai, half pub fayre. No problem with that at all, makes for interesting choices. The food was average, my Massaman curry was nice, but I could have done with a bit more, I'm no Pad Thai expert, but the three people who had it all said it tasted sweet. Lasagne had by someone else was bland and fatty.

Have had the Sunday lunch here a number of times with my family and it really is the best around. Always very tasty and great value for money. However, we decided to visit on Friday night for some Thai food recently. We all had a starter and a main course and they were all very devoured with nothing to spare. All starters were under £5 and were good value and main courses were equally tasty and under £10 and nobody was dissapointed. The Thai menu had plenty of choice for everyone and there are standard pub meal choices for those less adventurous. Will certainly be visiting for Thai food again.

Read several TripAdviser reviews of this restaurant but had never patronised the place ourselves. We went there for our Wedding Anniversary Meal last month (July) and had a superb Thai meal and served by excellent staff! We will go again band we would highly recommend!

Have been coming to Llansteffan for 5 years now and every time we make sure we go to the Farmers Arms at least once! Food is fantastic, great choice and great value... as good as any Thai restaurant I have been to.

I think the food here is great, the taste is varied, from traditional to thai food, Good servings, Staff helpful and polite. Also do take away. Will eat here again no problem. Good idea to book. Good range of drinks.

Daughters suggestion,mothers money and fathers treat. Didn't know what to expect as a ten minute drive down seriously narrow lanes and the foliage has not grown to full capacity as its only May. Could be a struggle to find in summer when the hedges are fully grown Sat nav on then! Well seriously worth finding this Thai gem which we couldn't fault. On entering we went into the bar only to have a blessing put on me from a local resident! On reflection that was a good omen. So all I'm saying is get yourself there before the foliage grows anymore and enjoy. Oh and try not to eat the carrot flowers. What a find!

Staying just down the road on a chilly night, what better way to warm up than a Thai meal in front of a log fire! Overall, the food was decent without being outstanding. The Massaman curry favoured potato over beef and was lightly spiced and whilst nothing was bad, neither did it scream "wow" in the way a really good Thai meal does :-) That being said, it was great to find a Thai place in the middle of a tiny hamlet in the Welsh countryside!!

Very nice Thai meal. Children's menu was good. Staff friendly and helpful. This pub is a long way off main dual carriageway but definitely worth the journey.

If you like Thai food and chillies - this is the place, all seemed freshly cooked to order. Otherwise, menu pretty lacklustre and ordinary. Good place to fill up at a reasonable cost.

The Thai food in this pub is absolutely top class. My wife and I had a three course meal and could not fault any aspect of the evening. The service was quick and friendly and the food was excellent. Our lovely waitress even went above and beyond the call of duty and gave us a lift back to our apartment to save us a £20 cab fare. Can't praise it enough, will definitely be going back.

After many recommendations, we finally visited the Farmers Arms with friends and weren't dissapointed. The restaurant area is nicely decorated and the Thai menu fairly extensive, whilst still catering for those looking for more traditional pub fare. The meal itself was great value for money, with a range of starters ( best prawn toast ever!) and beautifully fresh mains, particularly the prawns. There was a keenly priced wine list to accompany what was a very good evening out.

Walked in off the street, walked out very full and happy. Very reasonably priced and superb choices, great service and would gladly return in the future.

Number 21 on the menu. It's the most amazing dish I have ever tasted. I've had it twice now. It's a taste explosion in your mouth. The staff are so accommodating that I was given a bowl of chilli flakes to adjust the heat to my own taste. Number 23 and 3 were empty plates too.

The Farmers Arms is a lovely intimate Pub in the centre of Llanybri, next to a ruined church. There is a wonderful, friendly atmosphere and it is immaculate throughout. The bar has regulars watching rugby or having pool competitions. The restaurant is quieter but well presented.The food is amazing - very authentic and so well presented. Each dish is accompanied with carrots cut into flowers. Starters cost about £4.50, mains £8.50 and sweets £4.50 with wines at about £14.00 a bottle - all average costs. My personal favourite is to start with Chicken skewers, Sweet and Sour main, sticky toffee pudding, washed down with the house Rose. Highly recommended.
