The Eva Hart in Redbridge

Good pub but giving a bad review on the security and one of there staff accusing me of doing bad things when i suffer with hay fever and i have prof and it was not me doing anything thing bad the person next to me in the toilet doing it but apart from that good service

have had bad experience in here once before with staff, but the excellent service from a boy named george has shown that the Eva Hart have really upped their standards in recruitment and have made a good decision, I had a problem with my order (that turned out to be my fault) and George was very helpful with fixing it for me and swapping the meals. they were delivered on time, hot, and with a smile! what else could you ask for from what i am sure is a minimum wage member of staff. outstanding he was the short young man with a smile =]

There are plenty of Wetherspoons in Ilford, Romford and Barking and this is one of the best. We called in early on a Saturday and found a friendly welcome and were very impressed with the cleanliness of the whole pub. Had a tasty breakfast and unlimited coffees at unbeatable price. There is a small car park at the back which used to be handy, but recently has been made for staff only. Really not a problem as there is a large public car park nearby.

I came into the eva for a quiet drink, and was severed by a lovely gentleman named george, such a friendly young man who made me feel so welcome. Was so polite and helpful. Would happily return to the pub.

I was in the Eva Hart today and was served by George who looked to be a manager, he came across very rude and abrupt after I asked him how his day was going and made me feel very uncomfortable so I left.

We arrived , 4 of us, out friends had ordered drinks and we were just about to when one of the kitchen staff, young man in black , walked out and told us we had to move our cars , as the car park is now a staff car park. No manager , despite what looked like one on duty.With comments like "It's fairly obervious its a staff car park" and "Look at the signs"... you can decide if the signage is adequate.We won't be back , despite having come here for for almost a year for a sat or Sunday breakfast, we won't be back. Incredibly rude , and arrogant staff , So much for looking after customers. No refund was offered for the drinks and we piled up the baby and both cars went to the Toby I Romford, friendlier staff, tons of parking and an eat as much as you want brekkie. Eva heart eat your heart out...

Like most of the other pubs in chadwell heath beware of the pub culture. Few regulars from the tollgate have changed to the Eva. Be careful as they will steal from you to feed habits.

Well where do I start, my friend booked a table for her hen night and no table was reserved (she called them twice) we was told we was too loud so they sent us upstairs, even then they kept telling us to keep it down, it's a fooking hen night, women in their 40th that don't go out much, how the fook are we gonna keep it down, the pub had ZERO atmosphere, the bouncers were miserable & ugly (I mean Freddie Krueger was 10 out of 10 compare to to the bouncers) we thought our friend had got us shots as they were sent to the table, so we drunk them, next thing the bar staff said they were for another table you need to pay for them, leave off, get staff that know what they are doing!!! Dont bother people WHAT A SH#T PUB!!!!!

Amazing breakfast, reasonable price, lovely food, highly recommended. Once you pay, then you can get unlimited tea or coffee. Loved it

I love it here- it always delivers - cheap good food. It’s lovely to have a place that a family of four can eat out in and still have change out of £40. Comfortable, homely and relaxed.

I have been going here on a regular basis for 10 months ,All the staff are lovely ,very helpful and would recommend to Anyone to visit for Food and Drinks ,5 **** service , Always... Probably one of the safetesta and helpful places to go for Food & Drink...Inthe area ,Please give a try... Security staff at weekends ,are also very nice.....

Visited on 22nd August, go very often but there was a new bar manager. Decided that as he had not done his adim tasks he would shut early 'allegedly,' well that was the reason. If the comment comes back he had been agro, that is not true. Most normal staff were very shocked at the early close

There was no menus on the tables, when i asked a member of staff where they were i was told to look in a drawer next to bar. When no menus was found i was told customers had moved them and it was left at that. Tables were dirty, was not even that busy. The eva hart used to be lovely but now i will avoid.

Rude and unhelpful barstaff( not all )When I complained I actually got laughed at by barman. Service is diabolical, management is laughable . Get threatened with being thrown out if you dare to complain about service. Toilets are disgusting, urine leaking across the floor and down into the bar below where it's collected in ice buckets while a group of people were eating nearby. Used to be such a good pub.

Everything you would expect from a typical Wetherspoon. Cheap and varied beers and Ales. Cheap and quick food. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. At times though you will lose the will to live getting served. The punters don't help. Doesn't seem to be much bar etiquette. Every man, woman and child for themselves!

Mix grill was very nice.plenty on plate.chicken with bacon was good to.my friend did say the portion of chips was a lot less.as she realy enjoys them.then we had pancakes icecream.maple syrup.drinks included.wasnt rushed.service very good.will be back.

I was served by a young lady called Kara and she gave me the best juice I had ever received in my life. Best £1.75 I have spent on a j20 and I will continue to come back to her only for my drinks. She goes the extra mile and makes it her priority to help people like me who cannot get to the straw properly. 5 stars always.

Steak properly cooked to order with free beer. Nice dependable scampi. Ridiculously cheap real ale. Free soda and lime. Jolly staff. Interesting building with range of artefacts of local interest.

Regardless of the quality of food or value for money, the rude, sarcastic bar manageress ensured I will never go there again. Dreadful experience 😐☹️

Had an impromptu Sunday lunch out today- bbq chicken burger and sausage/mash. Fab atmosphere, great food, friendly staff - all at a great price. I could get used to this!!

It's my local and I'm always happy to visit here to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. Most recently when I visited I was pregnant and staff accommodated me very well with decaf tea when I asked. Would always return. It's a staple good Wetherspoon branch.

Got here at 7:45 tonight with my friend. Ordered a few drinks, after a little while, was approached by a young bar woman with badly dyed hair. She made a point of putting her fingers to her lips whilst collecting glasses saying: "ssshhhhhh babes"

Unfortunately I was recently barred for life from this pub lol for being accused of whistling at a member of bar staff lol who then took it upon herself to completely ignore me & serve 4 other customers who had come to the bar after me !!!

Was pleasantly impressed, this is indeed one of the neatest , cleanest and better Wetherspoons I have been in. The staff were friendly and the service really fast. Ill be back!

My wife and I visited and were served by Darren who bent over backwards to assist my wife with a sirloin steak; when they said there were none left. He went out to the kitchen and found one. It was cooked beautifully and it seeed to melt in her mouth. Thank you. We returned the following day, Darren was not in attendance, but I decided to have a sirloin steak. When the steak appeared, instead of medium rare it was medium raw and the chips were soaked in cooking oil and inedible. Darren where were you; please help me next time.

Steak on tuesday was cooked realy good .chicken melt bacon cheese.jacket potato.onion rings chips.all good.you get a drink with it.very good value.service good.

Had dinner with the family here while as the cooker hadn't been delivered yet. Ordered and received a range of meals for our family of four. Everyone left full and happy.

Being a trucker Wetherspoons is great for me as I use their app, find a table order food and drink on the app and it’s delivered to my table so I don’t loose my place, great, the food is mostly ding food ( microwave ) but fair. I had the chicken avocado and maple cured bacon salad which was ok but just ok, nothing special.

No Lemon, Lime, Strawberry... come on it’s not difficult, there’s a shop across the road.. staff just say “we a’int got any” as if that is a satisfactory answer... it’s not! You’re a pub, act like one!

Well what can i say about the Eva Hart ,i cant comment on the food as we didnt stay that long .we booked a table for 12 on mothers day for 2pm (booked 2 weeks previous) arrived to be told that they had no knowledge of our booking ,but would sort something out ,so while waiting we ordered a drink my son and myself ordered cokes when they arrived they were flat ,so was returned the bar person tried the coke and agreed it was flat and gave us 2 more cokes ,2 waitresses made up a table for us to sit ,when we approached the table they were so squashed together we couldnt get around it unless we climbed over the chairs ,we had 2 disabled people with us so this wasnt an option .so i approached the man that seemed to be in charge and he said he would sort something else yet again the 2 waitresses tried to move the tables about again by this time starting to get annoyed he didnt come to help . We tried to sit at the table again with 2 of our family having to sit on another table .we just got seated to then realise that my dad was sitting in front of the disabled toilet door and had completely blocked it off .A gentleman approached the disabled toilet to use it so up we all got again to help him . By this time im fuming ,sat down again to calm down started to drink my coke FLAT again by this time we had all had enough ,so we left all dissapointed ,considering this wasnt our fault i think that the way we was treated is disgusting, not such a happy mothers day for us so if your booking to go eva hart good luck with that

Located around a 10 minute walk from Chadwell Heath Station, The Eva Hart is a decent enough pub with a very wooden but interesting interior. Drinks are a good price, service was a bit slow though. This is an interesting pub that's worth going into if you are in the area.

I was just served by a young man with a beard for breakfast. He was polite, helpful and enthusiastic. A rare quality in similar establishments. I hope they keep him on. I have previously been unimpressed by bar staff attitudes here at dinner time but this man more than makes up for it. The food is average but pretty good for the price and quick service.

I had my first beer in Eva Heart when I was 16. Was my favourite pub even when I moved to Kent. There was always felt like Home going in there, Friday night drinking in the Eva then off to Romford was awesome! That was over 12 years ago now and all the table and furniture are the same. Went today for a birthday meal over going Cosmo in romford for the memories, wish I didn’t. First of all the two female staff on the bar was extremely rude especially the young one with the fringe and massive attitude. Rude and bad at her job, if you don’t want to work there then don’t, no manners or customer service just plain rude. Out of the 4 meals we ordered the last which is a simple burger and chips came 15mins after everyone else’s food once they had all finished eating. Yeah it’s just a pub lunch but can see this place closing down soon. The one good point was the one person running his socks off serving people and making sure everyone was ok. I can’t remember his name but his good attitude and friendly nature stands out clearly. He is obviously happy in his job and was well mannered and good at what he did. Over all Rip Eva Heart you shall always remain in my memories but will not return again.

This was my first visit here we approached the bar where we ignored as staff were to busy talking about there personal life’s instead of focusing on serving and looking out for customers who required service

I don't rate the food very highly multiple times we have had to send food back. I wouldn't choose to eat here but drinking here is enjoyable.

A friend and I dropped in for a meal and a few pints. I arrived early before my friend so I thought I would treat myself to a wee dram. I asked a lady member of staff for a double Glenmorangie with no ice and no mixers. She poked the screen a few times and began to look glazed and blank. Another member of staff arrived and asked me what I wanted. Yes, you have got it, I asked for a double Glenmorangie with no ice or mixers. After poking the screen a few times I was asked if I just wanted a straight double Glenmorangie. I answered "yes". The first member of staff finally found the bottle, looked over her shoulder at me and asked if I wanted a single measure. Perhaps if she had spent more time learning her job and less time plastering her face with makeup then I would have not been standing at the bar for five minutes just to get a double scotch.

Popped in with my Gran for dinner last night it was Curry club, the poppadoms were soaked in a lot of oil and the curry was luke warm and the food was very tasty but took a long time to come out, used the order and pay app because the queue was so long at bar so don't think I will back any time soon.

Every Sunday we go here for breakfast and cannot fault breakfast the service and staff always friendly and welcoming we have tried other places for breakfast but nothing bets this place good valve for the amount of money they charge and it's always nice and tasty keep up the good work

This is a Wetherspoon pub, so standard pub food. The food we ordered was of an expected standard and was hot.

Went here last Friday. They had run of out Carlsberg, Coors, Tuborg and San Miguel. Rubbish management. Rubbish pub.

Do not under any circumstances have a pint of Shipyard Pale ale from here.It is quite simply foul.The worst beer I have ever tasted.

Visited the Pub as wanted to enjoy the English pub on a Friday night with crowd enjoying the drink with friends n no loud music n no disturbance with family n friends n safe all though with good service n prime location

I ordered a steak meal from the bar and proceeded to sit down at my table, the waitress brought a condiment trey over and my food, i went to use the tomato ketchup and realised it was empty, rather then bother the waitress i went to the table with all the condiment treys on and checked the other bottles of tomato ketchup, unfortunately all of them were empty so i asked the waitress if she could get me another one it was at this point the waitress said they didn't have any tomato ketchup left. i was disheartened but a senior member of staff overheard our conversation and said no you can just get him a new bottle from upstairs. I then realised the waitress had been lying to me so she wouldn't have to go upstairs. I think things like that are rather annoying.

Wetherspoon pub so nice and cheap. Decor is looking very tired and staff attitudes could be more focused on customer satisfaction. For a quick in and out cheap meal or a cheeky wine then ok .

Been a semi irregular of this pub for years have tried breakfast, lunch, evening food, most of the "Club Nights" Real Ale and Cider festivals and over the years it has been great then poor then good then bad then good again, but now has gone downhill again, the latest upset was turning invisible to the two female and only bar staff and seeing several separate people walk up to the bar along from where we were standing and waiting and being served while we were ignored. We decided to leave and just go home but managed to raise the point with one of the bar staff that had ignored us, who then just wanted to argue the point and blame us for giving up and moving away from the bar just as she was going to serve us, but still did not ask what we would like.Cannot stand that sort of ill manners and after all these years wil NOT be going back there.Apart from the above, in common with many of the JDWs in the area it has become dirty and rundown and is in need of some TLC, especially the outside area.

Went in for a couple of drinks and the staff there were amazing and friendly. The king prawns were a treat so did the chicken wings. Being an old pub, named after a titanic survivor, I'd say my experience at The Eva Hart was satisfactory. The chicken wrap was the best I had. The southern fried chicken filling with the right amount of sauces to go with a bowl of salad was just the perfect thing for me. Would definitely recommend this pub for a really good time with your friends and family.P.S: I'm Indian and I loved the food which had the right amount of spice in the food I got served.

The pub manager is ignorant and rude to the customers and a lot of customers do not use this pub anymore! The service of food and drinks is very poor and they should be educated about customers with disabilities.

Good food, Good drinks lots of fun friendly people and goo prices. The service is always fun and friendly and fast. I look forward to going back soon.

Visited today after taking my dog out for a walk, sat out in garden as weather was warm, when ordering drinks requested a bowl of water for my dog only to be advised that dogs are not welcome at the pub!! There are no signs outside to indicate this and really cannot understand why this is the case as you do not have to go inside the pub to access the garden! Have previously been a regular visitor toThis pub but this has put me off and won't be using it in future!

I do love going to a weather's pools as it's good cheap prices. But I was dissapointed as I went to go and eat some food.what I normally would have they did not have so I had to chose something different and I was not happy with the food and left a majority of it.

A nice pub with polite and friendly staff. Service is very quick even at the busiest times.You are sure of a pleasant time at the Eva Hart.

I came here with a friend who likes beer - she had a couple of pints from the pump and I had a couple glases of Merlot which I was surprised to find came from a pump as well! Whilst we were there we had fish and chips with mushy peas which was lovely. The eva Hart is a nice clean venue which is not so full you can hardly move - I would definitely go again and would recommend it as well.

wasn't a nice meal, staff were friendly tho. wouldn't personally want to eat in there again. Also had onion rings another day, and they were not that nice.

The eva hart is a lovely pub which serves great food at a great price. Themed night's make the food even cheaper. Also deals including drinks and offers. Well worth a visit. Part of the wetherspoons group.

I regularly eat and drink in this establishment (the best of all the weatherspoons I go to)staff are helpfulcustomers are funny and friendly food is good compare to other weatherspoons which is surprising it's a pub!!!! but it's one of the best

I am a local and a regular of the Eva Hart pub and I have been left feeling victimised and disgusted have I have been treated by the Manager On a busy Friday night me and my friends were sat down having a drink causing no trouble, it got to around 12:15am and at that time we was asked to leave by the bouncers. All of a sudden the manager came over and slammed down stacked glasses and then picked up more glasses and stacked them loudly in our faces while shouting "GET OUT LEAVE GO BACK TO THE COOPERS ACROSS THE ROAD, GET OUT OR YOUR ALL BARRED!" straight away us group of friends left. I could understand it was a busy night but that's no customer service to your regulars. We the attended again to meet some friends on the following Friday. We walked up to the bar and got served straight away by a friendly member of staff, then the manager Vicky come running down to the end of the bar were we was getting served and in front of everyone shouted once again "YOUR BARRED, YOUR NOT GETTING SERVED, GET OUT NOW!" which was so embarrassing as we was made out as if we were bad people in a pub full of a lot of people we knew. I will be taking this further and I am disgusted in how someone could think they could treat people like that. Even the bouncers could not understand why she would be rude to us regular group of friends as they no we are no trouble! That's not no management skills what so ever. Disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been going to the Eva hart for around 4 years and I would never go to another pub. The service there is excellent, even on busy nights there is always someone to serve me a drink. Staff are so welcoming and lovely! Me and my friends always pop in for drinks and food after work on a busy evening, chips are my favourite and nothing beats curry night. Would highly recommend this pub, had some very enjoyable nights here!! Management and staff so friendly :)

The Eva Hart Pub is a 5 minute walk from Chadwell Heath Station. It's named after a local survivor from the Titanic (the ship that sank in April 1912) disaster . The Wetherspoon Pub is 125 years old and was formerly a Police Station, it's a large Pub that's set over 2 floors. Dropped in to escape the cold and have a bite to eat. The Pub has the essence of a real locals Pub. There was no vegetarian sausages, so unable to have the veg sausage and mash. Therefore I had chips, egg and beans for £4.20, the chips were very greasy. The ladies toilet felt like a bit of a maze (mainly wasted space). The staff were friendly and the Pub was clean.

All staff, especially Kate and Ellie, were so attentive and friendly. Taking the food and drink order for the 28 guests went really smooth, the food was served promptly and feedback from guests stated: tasty, delicious etcWe had all of the upstairs part reserved from 12:00 onwards, were able to put up decorations and rearrange chairs, tables. The last guests did not leave until late at night and everyone, friends and family, commented on what a good event the Eva Hart was and what a good time everyone had. Highly recommendable in every aspect!

This pub is great and has a great atmosphere especially of an evening! Great place to grab some cheap drinks and catch up with friends.

We are fairly frequent visitors to the Eva Hart, and have yet to be disappointed. The pub has become our first choice for a meal out when my daughter comes to visit, as there is an excellent array of meals and my grand daughter is always made to feel welcome.The pub (with it's 'Titanic' theme) is nicely decorated and the tables are regularly cleanedOn our last visit, my daughter mentioned how polite and friendly the bar staff are (obviously something missing in her home town!) and I have to agree they are always very friendly.My notoriously fussy grand daughter ate all her food (a small miracle) which says it all about the quality really!We will be back!

Met friend there for a drink as haven't been there for a long time and that's why I haven't it was shocking staff swearing behind the bar took me 5 minutes to get served while they finished there chat, tables not cleaned and plates and glasses on tables for over 1 hour, kids running about upstairs it is totally shocking there and trust me I won't be back God knows where the manager was

I have travelled a lot and work in various countries as you will see from my profile.However this evening I had the opportunity to visit Chadwell Heath with friends so we pop into the Eva Hart. Whilst this pub is certainly a Wetherspoon's I found the staff to be tentative, smiley, friendly and the food was of great value and tasted nice. I think what particularly made this visit was the staff! If say typical Essex pub, nice local atmosphere with staff that are friendly enough to know and care for the locals! I would defiantly revisit and be happy to pop in as I'm passing through! It's nice to see good Wetherspoon

I went with a group of friends for drinks at this pub as its local to us. When my friend ordered a drink of whisky with just water, he was served with whiskey and pepsi by the serving lady. He said to her politely that he didnt ask for pepsi but she said that she heard him saying "whisky with pepsi" three times. This was complete lie. So, another friend who was standing there said "I was standing here all this time and he didnt say pepsi at all". To this, the lady called the bouncer and asked him to "throw these guys as soon as they finish this drink". We had gone there for having a good time at a local pub. We were never swearing nor abusive the whole of this time. We felt insulted that this lady was asking us to be thrown out just because we disagreed with what she thought she served. This is clearly not a way to treat people and when the customer is behaving nicely without any aggressive, abusive or swearing.

Came here for dinner last week with my wife and two kids. Very nice atmosphere and clean. I had the steak with scampi. The steak was decent, but the scampi was very overcooked.We had only just finished our meals when security guards in yellow arm bands came and told us to leave because it was getting too late to be there with kids. We had even called before going and were given a much later time for kids to be allowed there.

Our table, and the floor, were sticky. Our shared starter was served with the main meal. After accepting an order for a glass of rose wine, it was found to be unavailable. After accepting an order for coffee, it was discovered that the machine was broken. Our server was willing and friendly, but obviously inexperienced. The food was fine.But not the perfect birthday meal we were hoping for.

Been here a few times recently but have used the place since it opened in the late 90's Most staff here are hard working and pleasant I have walked out of here once or twice due to waiting far too long for a drink the washroom at the end of the bar seems to be the place to be the door staff are also very rude the law says drinking up time is 20 mins the door staff on weekends try to usher you out 5 mins after the last bell

You can't beat a loverly cooked piece of steakWe are a regular to the Eva heart £7.99 for a 14oz Aberdeen Angus rump steak and also a pint or a glass of wine, happy days, this meal is worth it all day long,There Breakfast is also first class.

A lovely pub with good food and variety of drinks which change frequently. Reasonable prices and always somewhere to sit. A local pub where you are comfortable with friends or on your own

Fast and efficient service, child friendly and hot tasty food freshly made! I have been here many times and would definitely recommend this pub!

Me and my 2 children, 1 and 10 years old had a fantastic morning doing an Easter Egg hunt here. The staff were so good with the children, they had Fruit bags given to them while they did a drawing competition then was allowed to explore the pub for eggs. Fantastic morning!! will be back for more events.

Came here as a recommendation from a friend. We wanted to make a change from going to the weatherspoons in romford so last week we came here instead. Don't regret it at all. Food is cheap and good. Drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is lively. A few smelly old men but that's just the usual for cheap pubs I guess. Coming in again ssoon!

This pub looks like it'd be a really nice place for a meal from the outside! However that's where it all goes down hill!Walked in to find the bar full of sweaty old men swearing and leering at me which was an instant turn off! Couldn't find a clean table so had to settle for the best I could find upstairs by the toilets! Went to the bar - wet and sticky - obviously hasn't been wiped in a long time - girl behind the bar came up to me with a grunt and took my order!Went to the toilets and was almost sick at the disgusting standards and had to walk out When my food eventually arrived it was cold and tasted terrible and to be honest I'd had my fill of this place - so decided to leaveIt seems obvious to me this place has nobody working here that cares about the job - go somewhere else for lunch!

I was at this wonderful pub Saturday staff made this irish man very well come girls were very friendly and looked amazing very hard leave counter sat down at table ordered food stake was like mammy cooks delivery very quick no waiting around desert was lovely punters very friendly good mix ppl think i make this my local from now on manger was very friendly she has big future in front off her

Arranged to meet a friend in the Eva hart this afternoon, and I was a bit apprehensive as I know this pub had a reputation for being a bit rough! But I was pleasantly surprised, all the old characters seemed to be no where in sight!!! All the staff were helpful and friendly and my food came out in no time at all! You can tell a new, brilliant management team, have really taken control of this pub! Would definitely recommend!!!!

The staff are always friendly polite and very helpful. The food is very good for pub food, defiantly the best pub in Chadwell Heath.

Took the kids here for lunch yesterday, staff were polite friendly and helpful. Tables clean and food was out quickly! Will be returning.

The Eva hart chadwell Heath, has got good customer service girls here and these girls in puctular are, Gabriel, Laura, Kym and rehanne. When these girls are working it's a good pub to be in, they always are very cheerful and helpful

The food is so much more better than what is was! Ok the place could do with a lick of paint as some places/corners in the pub are a bit dark but the staff are extremely helpful, happy and friendly and really make you feel welcome.We'll definitely be back soon as it seems the good ol' Eva Hart is finally on the 'up'Well done and thanks

Wonderful day, table was decorated nicely, food was delicious staff were amazing and really couldn't do enough for us. Nice relaxing atmosphere definitely recommend!! We will be back..
