Been twice in a few weeks, once for a normal music night, once as part of The Blue Festival. Great spot and this area of Belfast is booming.

This is such a good place for drinks! The courtyard is really cosy even though it’s really big. The staff are friendly and efficient. The live music is amazing, went two nights and two really talented bands playing a wide range of music thsts great to sing along too. Such a friendly place too, all mixes of people from the very dressed up to the very dressed down and no judgement whatsoever. One of the best atmospheres I’ve experienced in a long time.

Square bistro

26/03/2019: It’s such a pity Square Bistro isn’t closer to my home as I would be a regular there for sure. Anytime we are in Lisburn we love to dine there.
20/03/2019: I live about 30 miles away but it’s worth making a point of dining at the Square Bistro. We’ve been coming here for years. Service is always friendly and the food is consistently good. One of my favourite places to eat.

05/05/2019: Visited here as a party of four. We booked in advance, a must as the restaurant is always in demand. The place is very old-worldly with beamed ceilings and lots of small private alcoves. Service was first class. We chose from a Sunday menu, my choice bring tomato & basil soup, roast beef dinner followed by rice pudding with rhubarb and flaked almonds. The food was beautifully presented and delicious . This restaurant is Michelin listed and it’s well deserved. We looked at the midweek menu and it looked very good. The place has a large garden with lots of tables, ideal for a Summer evening. I highly recommend this lovely old establishment .
22/02/2019: Recommended in GFG, good starting point! Charming country pub a bit out of the way. Personable and attentive staff. Interesting menu with some great interpretations on local and seasonal. Loved the menu, loved the food, ticked all the boxes! Lunch menu was a great deal. Will go out of my way to come back again!!
