Sadly, the old Deli has gone and has just re-opened after refurbishment, as a cafe. Cooked breakfast is off the menu! When we visited, our coffee & hot chocolate were luke warm and saddest of all the previously magnificent cheese & chilli scones were a tasteless imitation. Not a patch on what it used to be.

Not sure what has happened here. The deli/cafe was closed for refurbishment and has reopened as a completely different cafe. The cakes we had were definitely not fresh. They were rock hard/stale and very expensive. This location and size of establishment has so much potential but is not being realised at all. Not sure it will get repeat business as it is now.

I have visited the deli on numerous occasion over the last 12 months and since the new owners have taken it over the place has really gone down hill so much.many of the the things on the menu have been removed like the full English which now stops at 11am and no more soup either.I also dont agree with the way the new owner speaks to his staff he is very rude and arrogant as I heard him last week having a dig at one of the staff.shame the new owners are letting this place go down the pan and I can see it closing as it must be losing so many regular customers daily because of all the changes.Put the menu back to how it was and this place may survive but I certainly wont be visiting again that's for sure.

We have been visiting the Deli for a number of years now and have always enjoyed the pleasant surroundings and the excellent food. Amongst other locally sourced offerings, they advertise a full English Breakfast on their menu which always goes down well with us, no matter what time of day we drop in. Our visit wouldn’t be complete without buying some of their fresh or bottled produce too. We would regularly spend in excess of £50 per visit. However, we arrived at 1050hrs yesterday, 15th June, and decided to have the full English as usual but had to wait for another couple of family members to arrive before ordering. We told the waitress our plans to wait and had coffee while we did so. When we were ready to order food at 1110hrs, we were told that the cook won’t do breakfasts after 1100hrs. This wasn’t on the menu nor has it been the case in the past. We’ve even had the full English in the middle of the afternoon. The cook, who was new as was the waitress, refused to budge and wouldn’t do us what all 4 of us had ordered. We felt we had no option but to leave and eat elsewhere which we did and we will not return. The refusal to serve customers what they’re used to being able to order has unfortunately cost the Deli four previously loyal customers. We hope the owners of the premises read this review and take the appropriate action.

We walk on occasion to the Chilli Farm using a right of way footpath from Mendlesham village. The track goes from Oak Farm Lane via Blue House Lane to the rear of the Chilli Farm. A Chilli Farm advertised with a Deli & Cafe not too far up the A140 seemed to good to be all in one place and on arrival we were advised the chilli growing and sale operation hasn’t existed for a while. We stayed for lunch anyway which was quite good despite some confusion over what we’d ordered. The condiment racks on the tables were all running very low or bottles were empty and it would have been nice to try a few samples of chilli products with our meals which seemed like a missed opportunity given some of the Norfolk produced sauces were on sale in the shop. We did buy some regardless and were very happy with these. Would be nice to see this place brought back into full operation as I’m sure it would do really well with some strong promotion.

I took my daughter and two grandchildren during half term for lunch. The deli food is excellent with some chilli items but not over the top. We also visited because when I first went there several years ago they had a lovely greenhouse full of chilli plants which you could view. Unfortunately this time there was nothing like this and in fact the retail outlets which were mentioned on the signage did not exist so that was a little disappointing but would not stop us returning for lunch.

This was a sausage roll la Maximus with succulent meat surrounded in a light puff pastry that was perfectly cooked, what more for a mid day feast .

We have been visiting for years, most recently on the bank holiday Saturday. The place was jammed and the cause appeared to be a number of large parties. There were some people complaining of delays but we also noted that those people where offered free drinks whilst they waited. In honesty, their complaints were probably the only downside of the visit for us. We were warned that waits could be 30 minutes and were presented with a wholesome meal that left us extremely satisfied. The kitchen and waiting staff were admirably coping under pressure. Well done.

We had full English, homemade soup, and what was brilliant for me as I have coeliac disease, gluten free options. So I chose cheese and biscuits. 3 selections of cheese which were gorgeous. Thoroughly recommend.

It's a shame the Chilli Farm Deli is over 200 miles from home. When ever we are up in Suffolk we try and pop in the breakfast. Today's breakfast was the best ever and thoroughly recommended.

We stayed in the cart lodge ,home from home every thing you could wish for,in the open countryside,so for a relaxing long weekend it is ideal, sit on he decking watching the world go bye or up to the deli for a bit of food.the lodge is a converted 300 year old barn, and the owners have done a fantastic job of it.The last thing I would like to say is to the owners Denise & Adrian, what a brilliant job you have you have turned your dreams into a reality congratulations From Tony & Loraine.nottingham

Went here today for a Sunday morning "can't be bothered to cook" trip. You know the one, had a few beers the night before and just think let someone else cook. Well this place is very very nice. The food is well cooked, looks and tastes amazing. Service is good, seats outside were nice for a sunny morning. Not to long to wait for the food, which was cooked to order, and the toast was granary bread. All in all a very nice trip. Do it, you wont be disappointed

Needed to pick up lunch en route and spotted this deli whilst driving. Wish I had a bit more time to look around as there were a couple of interesting looking independent shops there but will do that another time..we're often in the area so shouldn't be a problem. The deli has lots of interesting products many local to the area...the best range of chilli products I've ever seen..it is based on a chilli farm so guess thaf explains it!I chiose smoked salmon (Pinneys Orford) and cream cheese on granary...two really decent sized delicious sandwiches (I couldn't eat both so saved one for tea), corkers crisps and a breckland cloudy lemonade. Not the cheapest takeaway lunch ever but very very tasty and the quality was excellent...would return without hesitation and spend more time there next time. Very pleasant lady serving as well.

We flew past this place on the way to Lowestoft, blink and you miss, not many advanced signs.Beautiful and quaint, lovely gardens, clean toilets and a shop full of plenty of gorgeous produce. We chose a deli mixed platter, olives and a homemade pork pie. Plenty for two, fresh olives, fantastic meats, cheeses and bread. Pork pie was succulent and filling.Would visit again if passing, sat Nav it first to avoid having to turn around.

Just called in here for breakfast, great friendly service and lovely food. Sat in my favourite seat by the upstairs window looking out over the fields. Can also recommend the goats cheese salad with rosemary and chilli sweet potato wedges, which I'm rather partial to. Oh and I've heard the Waiter/dish washer is rather handsome as well!

I use the Deli and Cafe often. I find the place deserving of its '5' score on the door for hygiene. I find the staff welcoming and friendly, I regularly take my grandchildren with me to purchase their lovely bread, cheese, olives, cakes and super yummy pork pies and sausage rolls. They have always been good to the children and shown us respect as customers making it easy to sometimes call in for coffee and lunch even though we only live quite close by. I take people there who are business colleagues and well as just a mate for a coffee and chat and the family when I just can be bothered to do lunch or breakfast myself. Well done and thanks you lot please just keep doing more of the same for your luck customers. I

We stopped here for a quick cup of tea on the way home from a long weekend in Norfolk. The Shop is very impressive in its range of chilli-based products as well as it's deli counter of cheeses, meats and pastries.I had a pot of tea, and my wife had a Fentimans Ginger Beer. She was very impressed with the ginger beer - one of the tastiest she's ever tried.Service, both in the shop and the cafe was excellent, with the ladies being polite, attentive and knowledgeable. We left refreshed, carrying cheese, artisan crackers and chilli products.A very pleasant way to break the car journey. Many thanks.Sharon & Jason Matthews.

Why anyone would choose to call a cafe Tickety Boo is beyond me but the food is good and you don't eat the name! Very strange and off-putting style where they take your money before you eat - which meant we didn't order any cake after our meal as we couldn't be bothered to queue and pay all over again. None of the diners I've seen in here look like the type that would run off without paying! Despite this the food really was excellent and I will be back for more.

Excellent small community run cafe located next to the post office in the old Magistrates Court- which is always filled with locals on Thursdays and Saturdays. With the cheapest but nicest real coffees and cake in Suffolk it’s a real treat and a hidden gem. Highly recommended as a pit stop in Stradbroke Village with very clean toilets.
